We were very happy with the service Black and White provided. They picked us up at the terminal and brought us to their location. Provided cold water and swift service getting us in our rental. The whole process was very fast and easy.

We had heard all the horror stories of the bigger car rental companies, so I did some research. We came across Black & White Car Rental. Excellent choice. Car was for a great price. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Upon arriving at the airport, head to the exit with shuttle service. Take the metro connector to the car rental depot drop off. Call up black and white and they will be there momentarily. Overall I am very happy we choose this location. If we are ever back in the area, we will choose them again

One of the better car rental experiences I have had. We had to take a bus to a pick up location but the car was great, good customer service and we would definitely rent from this company again.

The best car rental experience we have ever had. Black and White doesn’t just take your reservation, they actually Hold your reservation!! No waiting in line at the rental terminal, worrying whether a car is available and if it’s the same class of car you ordered. You get picked up near the airport and taken to the office where a car is waiting for you. No hassle! On the way back you drop off the car at the office and are driven to the airport! That’s it!! Just what a car rental experience should be!!!

Fantastic car rental service provider in California with an excellent range of vehicles to choose from. My son recommended them so we hired a 2022 Toyota Camry and did a 10 day roadtrip throughout California and Nevada. The vehicle was clean and ready to go when picked up, service quality was excellent with minimal delay and they drove us back to LAX when we dropped the car off. Cannot recommend Black & White enough. Next West Coast trip we will be booking again through them.

My husband and I just rented for a week for the first at Black &White, and were extremely happy and satisfied. The service is professional , helpful and warm from everybody working at the location of LAX airport. The car was clean well maintained, it was perfect. I highly recommend this place when you go to Los Angeles, if you want a reliable, helpful and professional rental place at a great price. Thank YOU!

Almost forgot to leave a review but I visited LA a month ago and so glad I choose this company to rent a car from. Best experience ever. When I arrived they picked us up from the airport like we was superstars because we was, real cool driver who got us at the location quickly. When we arrived I was not there for no longer than 10min and out the door. Even hooked me up with a good rental without the extra charge. When we returned we was rushing to the airport and they was rushing with us! He was flying bending corners like I said PUNCH IT! He knew we was running behind and got us there with time too spare! Thanks yall, i would definitely only rent from yall next time in Cali!

Easy to communicate with. Straightforward rates & no hidden fees or upselling pressure. Polite staff. Picked up the phone right away. 2 miles from airport. Need to take a free shuttle then call to get picked up from the shuttle stop. This adds 30-45 min.

BEWARE!!!!!!! BAIT & SWITCH. Wife was on Booking.com to book a car rental for our trip. She reserved a Mercedes from booking.com because A. It was not much more money then other rentals, and B. It was "On-Site" LAX Airport. Too good to be true? You Betcha! Upon arrival at the Airport and collecting our Luggage, I asked my wife what the Rental Car instructions were, and the Rental Company Name. She gave me the instructions, and we went to the Pink Shuttle Stop at the Airport to be picked up. Then as we were looking for the name of the rental company, I see "Black and White Car Rental". I had a feeling at that point this would be a disaster, but I gave it the benefit of doubt. Shuttle Bus Arrives, and instructs us that we are the first stop. That Stop... is an empty parking lot across the street from the LAX Marriott. Smaller shuttle vans were to pick you up from there and take you to the rental location. There was LIE # 1. The location was not LAX "On Site" location. We then called the number provided 4 times with no answer, until we were able to leave a message. My wife's phone then rings and George from Black and White says " WE'LL BE THERE IN 10 MINUTES, OH AND WE DON'T HAVE YOUR MERCEDES, BUT WERE GOING TO UPGRADE YOU AT NO EXTRA CHARGE TO A TOYOTA SIENNA HYBRID... YOU'LL LOVE IT"! I'm not sure what planet George hails from, but in no part of planet earth is a Toyota Sienna and Upgrade to a Mercedes. That was LIE #2. Excuse: Mercedes was "damaged". That was LIE # 3, because after telling George were gonna HARD PASS on the Toyota Sienna, and called Booking.com to Slam them, the woman at booking.com said George can have the car for you by tomorrow, as if maybe we should just stand in the parking lot overnight. Moral of the story, AVOID Black and White Car Rental at all cost. This is a bait and switch trap they set, because you're now in a parking lot stranded. Thankfully I lived in Los Angeles for 36 years, and know the scene, if it was our first trip to CA it woulda been a nightmare, much like the condition of that state these days. We walked across to the Marriott, they got us a cab, and our hotel hooked us up with a great Car Rental place they had an affiliate with. We got a brand new Jeep Sahara 4X4. It was a nice ride.

Absolutely terrible! apparently if you come after 5pm , you can't get your car and there's no one to talk to! There's nothing on the website that says that you CAN'T get a car after 5pm. After talking to them (and they were VERY rude), they still charged for 1 day even though I never got the car! If your flight is delayed, forget about getting a service from them. Never ever do business with them

Was placed in a jam about 5 weeks ago. Visiting another from the LBC, an Inglewood barbershop (Inter-City Barbershop) for a bi/tri-weekly beard trim. Feeling good, beard tight, and head shinning, I got in my car, and it did not respond. Puzzled and beginning to get frazzled, I called AAA and the Associate and I brainstormed to have my car towed to a local dealer about a mile from the barbershop. Rode with the driver and was processed in at the dealer. Inquired as to a loaner/rental, I was directed across the street to Black & White Car Rental. They have a "business relationship." I walked in and was greeted with two very friendly "Hellos." Acknowledging them, I was shifted to a young lady by the name of Nayeli (very pretty name-ask her the meaning of her name, if you do not know-it fits her to the Tee). Nayeli explained the rates and I asked her about a "Vets", "Old man", "Disabled" (I do walk with a walker and had it with me) and just an overall "Sympathy"discounts. As I asked, for each category, I pulled out a card VA, AARP/Medicare, Disabled Car Placard, and a facial expression that said HELP!! "Mr. Gary," this wonderful lady said, I sorry but I can only apply one discount, allow me to find the best one. I was offered a seat, free fresh self-made coffee or a bottle of water. After several minutes, she called me to the counter and gave me the discount I qualified for. I was surprised at the rates. Very, VERY reasonable. I couldn't really turn it down as I had to get home to LB and drive to OC the next day for work. After the ritual of autographing their papers, I was escorted back to the front door, and this very shiny economy car with the driver's door open waited for me. A video tour inspection was suggested and accepted rendering no alerts. The entire time the customer service and overall personal interaction with Neyali was a professional one with just the right amount of personal touch. To sum this experience up, I was sort of forced, by my seasoned broken down car (actually a very good running car, until now) to keep the rental car for 4.5 weeks!! YIKES!!! But, the every other day texts to confirm my still needing the car, to the occasional emails and phone calls from Neyali, we were able to customize the original agreement as my car was being stubborn by stumping the mechanics across the street. Forcing me to extend the rental need. To make matters more complicated, I had to undergo an emergency surgical procedure which precluded me from driving back to B & W CR. Neyeli was notified and I was immediately extended genuine get better quickly wishes. I guess what I am getting at is, that this was one of the most pleasant business transactions I have been a party to. Yes, they are located in Inglewood, very close to LAX, but if you happen to need a rental, especially Luxury Cars, get over to BLACK & WHITE CAR RENTAL- and ask Neyeli to give you the Neyali Treatment!!! Tell her I sent you!! Thank you Neyali and B & W Rental you have become my out-of-the-way Go To Car Rental. You came through for me in my time of need. The Cars are clean, and in excellent condition, with no extra overwhelming odors, smooth driving, and reasonable prices. They are worth every penny, heck, just the welcoming smiles from the staff are worth the trip. You won't be disappointed!

There is a $50 penalty for returning the car after 5PM. Why cannot they have a drop box like every other company? This fact was in a confirmation email, but not clear on the reservation site itself. Getting there requires a shuttle to an open-sun parking lot where you wait on another shuttle. Ugh. The price was good at least and the counter service fine.

This is my second time using them, both times the process went off without a hitch. The manager Barnard helped with my first visit, even sent a driver to get us 15 minutes before the drivers starting time that day, we were in for a funeral. The second visit, I had to change my reservation made by Kevin, this time I got Nayeli, she was great about changing the dates and walked me thru some other info that would make my check in easier. They were both so helpful, above and beyond! When arriving to LAX, I called the office and right away they sent the driver to pick me up. Emily at the counter took care of me. Very professional and quick..she put me in my car along with 2 delicious chocolate chip cookies and I was on my way to a much needed vacation. When brining the car back, Emily was there to check me in and got me checked out quickly and off to the airport in no time, Hector was the driver, very nice and knowledgable about all the construction going on at LAX. This place is hands-down legit! I have never worked with a car rental place and had such a great experience. No trouble whatsoever and I even booked through a third-party. I was a little skeptical at first because you know the saying "if it's too good to be true, it probably is?" Well, I can honestly say there was no trouble, they honored the price that I was quoted, I had a beautiful 2022 Mercedes. The people there were very nice. They even came in cheaper than most "known" car rentals! I've already referred a few people in my family because they couldn't believe the car I got and for the price. Believe me I will use them anytime I fly into LA from this point forward! Thank you Black and White for taking the headache away when it comes to renting a vehicle in another state and making my visit so much more enjoyable. Paula

If I can give this place zeros stars I would. Booked a reservation weeks in advance. We arrived to LAX and attempted to pick up our rental car only to be told that they currently don't have a car for us. The lady who we talked to over the phone was not helpful at all. She basically told us we will have to wait HOURS before we can get a car and was very nonchalant about it. She had the nerve to offer me an upgrade for $50 but my reservation was prepaid. Needless to say we canceled the reservation and decided to go with Midway rental car which accommodated us! Thankful to go somewhere that valued our time!

I dealt with Kevin I believe. Another company cancelled our van rental 2 days before we needed it! I was scrambling trying to find another 12-15 passenger van. Quick google search and this rental place popped up. Kevin was super helpful over the phone, and luckily had a van for the dates I needed on such short notice. The location is only about 10 minutes away from LAX. Kevin's customer service was awesome. Check in was super easy. Prior to getting into the van I did my own walk around. I noticed some damage in the rear, but they noted it on their end. No big deal. The issue was, by mistake I found out during our rental period that the rear door did not lock at all. It was unfortunate as we could not go shopping or keep any valuables in the van when out and about. The closing did not have another van available to replace it with. We were constantly paranoid knowing the rear door wouldn't lock. In the end, they gave us a discount which we appreciated. Overall we might use this company again as the overall service was good.

Hi would highly recommend this company. They delivered the car to our hotel in San Francisco and we dropped the car back near LAX after our road trip. The process either end was nice and easy. They have friendly and helpful staff and especially Amber, who helped with the booking process. I will certainly use them again next time I'm in the US.

Good service, good car, great price. Pickup from the airport took 20 minutes to arrive (maybe just missed one), dropoff about 5 minutes to arrive. To and from about 10-30 minutes depending on traffic. Cheapest car was a Corolla that was clean, modern, and in good condition. Really satisfied with this place given the price.

I recently rented from this car rental place. It was not my choice but I booked through Booking.com. I was sure I selected Hertz, but when I arrived at LAX I was informed it was Black and White car rental. Because I prepaid for the rental, I was basically stuck using this place. Everything was fine when we picked up the car. The staff seemed friendly. They asked if we wanted to purchase insurance, but I declined as I had car rental insurance on my policy. The night before we were to return the rental, the tire blew out. This was not done by any fault of mine. It just exploded. I was not from LA and did not know anyone in town. I pulled to the side of the road and out of danger. I looked at my contract as it was 10:30 pm at night. The contract clearly stated not to do anything to the vehicle. What was missing was an after-hour emergency number. I started to panic. Luckily, a couple stopped and assisted in helping to put the spare on the car. When I returned to the car, they kept telling me to file a claim. My insurance company stated that there was no damage to the car and that it was just a flat tire. They also stated that it seems to be an issue with the tire, which was not safe to begin with. After over a week, they charged me a little over $200 for a tire on a Toyota Corolla that should have cost no more than $70.00. They ripped me off! I do not recommend this place.

These guys are incredible. I've been in the service industry for 10+ years owning multiple businesses, and know when I feel taken care of. Every employee and person inside the building operate as if they are the owners, taking the responsibility on themselves to give each person walking in to the doors Ritz Carlton experience. I wouldn't be surprised if the owner was working on his own hotels. This business is people first, business second. Bernard was extremely personable and helped me navigate some questions that I had. Incredible human. I'll be back as soon as I can and give these guys more of my business!!

So excited to have found a fabulous car rental at Lax! We rented a car here for the last four days at a very reasonable price. We received an upgrade to. a very nice car, and the best customer service we've had in a very long time! After renting on their website I emailed our insurance information to the office and received an immediate very kind response from Amber. Upon arrival at the rental agency we were warmly greeted by the employees, and were swiftly processed and had our car within 5 minutes. When we returned the car we received the same superb service and were immediately given a ride to the airport. We will definitely be recommending Black and White and will be renting here from now on!

Somehow Black & White Car rental showed up as the cheapest option while scouring car rental prices across multiple platforms. I also somehow trust all you Yelpers more than the average person, so I went ahead and booked a standard economy car. I submitted my insurance & flight info beforehand and they confirmed by email that I was good to go. Also, on the website, it states that you need to submit a utility bill or something to prove that you are a resident, but that's only for local renters. Once I exited the airport and was standing on the curb, I called them and they had a driver over to me in 10 minutes. They took me to their rental place where I picked up my car-a Toyota Corolla in great condition-only 2000 miles. I use to own a 2009 corolla and they've honestly gotten a lot fancier over the years! Here's where I was a bit bewildered-when they checked for scratches and dings, they REALLY checked for every tiny little scuff. He found a piece of dust as small as a grain of salt and double-checked to make sure it was dirt and not a scuff. Little normal wear & tear scuffs that other car companies would let go as...ya know..normal wear & tear...was all documented here. So, yes, the cars are in great condition, but it made me extra EXTRA cautious where I chose to park bc I didn't want to risk someone parking tightly next to me and accidentally tapping their door on mine. Luckily that didn't happen and the car served me perfectly over the next 3 days. I returned it and a driver was available immediately to take me back to the airport. I would totally rent from B&W car rental next time I'm in LA and need a car again!

This place was beyond amazing! I flew to LA for a weekend for a concert. They were super conveniently located near the airport and LAX hotels. If you are nearby, it is the place to go. A fantastic family owned business. Personalized service. Friendly, Impeccable. Easy access. Great clean Toyota corolla that hummed along the 105 with no problems. Bernard was the best - and drove me early in the morning Sunday morning to be sure I made my return flight. Please patronize them! They are far above the standard national car rental outlets with nameless faceless employees. They care about their service and take pride in their work. Bernard was the best!

One of the best experiences I've ever had at a rental car location. From the moment I walked through the doors I was greeted with excellent service by the representative to efficiency of getting in the car. The service was friendly, fast and simple. The car was exceptionally clean, smooth and did not stink. And the dropoff/return was even quicker and just as friendly. I truly appreciate excellent customer service and cleanness of the vehicle. I have not one dissatisfying comment to add. I was a bit nervous reserving this type of car through Booking.com but I was not disappointed. I am looking forward to utilizing their services again. When I was running late, the staff went above and beyond to help me get to the airport on time. I am warmly recommending Black & White to friends and plan to go with them again!

Other than the fact that their cars are extremely affordable for what they are, the staff are phenomenal. They make sure to cater to every need & answer specific questions without making you feel like you're being a bother. Another thing I loved was the fact that they made sure to do everything in a timely manner such as pick up & drop off at the airport. Outstanding communication, very organized & clean office.

If you can get past the hectic shuttle organization at LAX, B&W team are efficient, cars are great, and the experience was excellent. Really unique to speak to live people rather than challenging websites or endless telephone hold. A great experience from a small local group.

This is the worst rental place I've ever been at ! made reservations for today for our anniversary my husband called to make sure everting was ready to pick up the Tesla that we reserved weeks ago and when we arrive we were told they didn't have the car at all. Not only did they not the car but the man in the front desk didn't have the currency to get up and apologized. Just sat there with no answer. This place ruined our anniversary.

I would not work with this company again. We didn't know that they didn't have after hour service so when I called them saying our flight changed to after 6pm they were just like "too bad" attitude which was very unwelcoming. Then they told me that we can pick it up the next day (which we said we will probably do) or cancel since its FREE to cancel. After trying to make it work we decided to cancel and then we find out that there's a $100 dollar charge for cancelling...what happened to the "free"?? Then we found out that there was a 48 hour policy...our flight comes in on Thursday at 8pm and we tried to cancel on Tuesday! Why didn't they tell us when I was on the phone with them that there was a penalty and just say "free"? Beware of this company because they hide some facts even when you are talking to a person!!

We really didn't know what to expect. However from the gentleman who picked us up from LAX to the staff at the rental location the Customer service was exceptional. Black and White Car Rental is as good as it gets when it comes to car rentals in LA. We booked an economy/compact vehicle midweek for $25 a day and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The online booking was quick and painless. Once you have your luggage at LAX, you give them a call and they'll pick you up in your car rental! No having to move your luggage everywhere. Once you complete your paperwork and a visual inspection, you're on your way. The car was a brand new, 2017 Chevy Cruze with automatic everything and a real gas saver. Returning the vehicle was just as painless and there's even a gas station around the corner to fill up prior to returning the vehicle. Once all your return paperwork is complete, they'll drop you off at the airport; thank you Daniel for your excellent service and thank you Black & White, we have found our go-to car rental agency in LA.

They left me waiting at the airport for over an hour. I would have missed my meeting if I didn't cancel and get a cab. Do not rely on them!

Excellent service from the time of making the reservation to the end. They responded to my email in a timely manner and were always friendly. They picked us up at the airport when we arrived and took us back for our departure. The car was great and the price was much better than other rental places (especially with the service you're getting). Only bad thing is that they don't allow pets in their cars :( So when we travel with our dog we can't use this company.

Such a nice car rental! Super friendly staff, spotless and modern interior, great price for my last minute car rental. What a gem! I don't have to wait in line like the other places like enterprise, Alamo and hertz. They drive my rental car to me at the front so I don't have to drag my stuff far either. Highly recommend! They even have super clean bathrooms and coffee and cold water bottles for their guests!

Rented a basic compact for ten days for our recent trip to California. We usually rent from Alamo but they were double the price so I did research and found this company. I was hesitant since I hadn't heard of B&W before. Being a customer of T-Mobile I was offered a discounted price for lower than B&W's quote but I emailed B&W to see if they could price match as I like booking directly with companies rather than through a third party. Kevin Davis, the manager, was super nice and communicative over email - they were able to price match and answered all my questions/concerns. When we landed we had to take a shuttle to the remote rental car depot but it didn't take long for a driver from B&W to come pick us up. Once we arrived at the office it only took 10-15 minutes for the staff to help us fill out forms and the car was already waiting for us outside. The car was clean and drove well, it was good for our trip. The return process was also seamless, it only took 5 minutes, and they drove us directly to our airline terminal. The price we were quoted was exactly what we were charged, no hidden fees. I would definitely book with B&W again.

I have an all-hate and no-love relationship with car rental companies but B&W changed my view. Pros: - Best prices - Quick check-in (if you emailed your required documentations in advance), no one trying to upsell you with add-ons - White-glove pickup service at airport - White-glove drop-off service at airport - Rental car was in great condition - No hidden fees on invoice Cons: - Can't think of anything. Not sure what the catch is or how their pickup/dropoff service will be sustainable for the business as they scale, but for now, it's amazing!

I had the smoothest transaction with Black and White car rentals. Their instructions were clear and very easy to follow. I knew what to expect and each step was so easy to follow. My shuttle was waiting for me when I reached the remote car rental lot when most of the other people who used different services who got off with me were still waiting for their rides. Each employee was welcoming, knowledgable and friendly. My shuttle driver back to LAX (Hector) was especially friendly and personable.

I have used many car rental companies before. This is the best car rental company I have ever used. I have searched rental companies for best price, but all of the low priced ones have poor reviews and low scores. Then I spotted this company and the rating was surprisingly high and great price and great value. People are nice and efficient. Almost no waiting for pick up and ride back to the airport. The ride driver told me the company used to rent only high end cars and now started to rent cars for lower priced market. Great! A+++

Had no issues with my 2-day car rental with these guys. The driver who picked me up and the folks who worked the desk were extremely polite and professional. The email they sent me when I made the reservation, and then 2 days before I arrived, listed a lot of details that some other reviewers seem to be complaining about. It specifically says they need to verify car insurance coverage, that they charge a security deposit, and that you need proof of address if you have a CA driver's license (which I find very weird... luckily, I'd just gotten an out of state license). They did make a copy of my driver's license, which I'm not a big fan of. However, at the end of the day, their prices were nearly half of the other airport car rental places, since they don't charge airport fees. The price shown on the website is exactly what I got charged. Pickup and dropoff at the airport wasn't super organized (there's no dispatcher, literally just a guy at the desk who tells any available employee to go pick someone up). Pick-up took 25 minutes to Terminal 1, and Drop-off took less than 10. All in all, I'd come back for the value and personal experience!

I don't write a whole lot of reviews. But I was impressed with Black and White Car Rental. They picked us up at LAX and drove us to the office which is a few minutes away from the airport. The driver named Hector was quick and courteous. He brought us some bottled water while we waited for the paperwork to be finished and signed as well. The price for the rental car was like $200 for a week. Better then any of the other companies I saw. The car was a Toyota Corolla with 500 miles on it. So it was a nice car and not some junker. And when we returned the car and they gave us a ride back to the airport within minutes of handing them the keys. I can't remember the gentleman's name but I wanted to say thanks to the man who drove us back to the airport on 9/15/21 about 10:30am. You were super friendly and really made the short drive to the airport pleasure! Thanks
