This isn't my first time eating at this establishment. I have tried a lot of the options on the menu. My favorite is the shrimp and catfish pasta. They have a few new sandwiches that I tried. The Bleu Fire chicken sandwich was amazing and has a very unique flavor. I also really enjoyed the catfish hibachi sandwich. If you are looking for a great lunch or dinner option, I definitely recommend eating here.

Google
This was my first time eating here. I was pretty excited looking for something different, as I dine out ALOT! I would not have wrote this review had I received professional customer service. I ordered the croissant peach cobbler, and it was beyond soggy! I also ordered the OMG fries and with extra sauce and the cheese sauce was really gritty. I also ordered the Rasta pasta, which was super sweet like dessert. I asked the manager if they put sugar in their Rasta pasta and he said they use a sweet jerk sauce, which should be listed on their menu because not everybody likes sweet pasta! Now mind you all of this food was for myself, and I had to throw it all in the trash.. I will not return and I gave it zero stars, especially for poor customer service because it was nothing he can do for me!

Google
100/10 recommend!!! I got the lamb chops and Nola shrimp pasta. The food was made to order and packaged beautifully. I don’t like dry pasta so I ordered extra sauce just in case, but I didn’t even need it. Each dish was full of flavor. Definitely got my money’s worth in terms of the serving sizes. I am very pleased and will be back soon to try more of the menu.

Google
Delicious food Some students recommended the black box. I did not know what to expect, but it was good. The place is small, I thought it would be a full restaurant, but instead, there were only 3 tables which were used for people waiting for to-go orders. I ordered the Philly cheese steak, it was delicious, but I wasn’t thinking about it the next day. Meaning it wasn’t the best I’ve had. The atmosphere is low-key. The staff was amicable and down to earth. I appreciate the worker more than anything. I would guess that it is black-owned. Therefore they will get more of my business when I’m in the area, but it’s not worth going out of my way. Please leave a thumbs up if you find this review helpful

Google
i seriously never write reviews but i have to for this place: we ordered a burger and pasta and food took 30 minutes, to be ready. if you’re going to run an “order at the counter” place the service shouldn’t be as slow as it would be at a sit down restaurant. another customer asked for extra utensils and the guy at the counter started taking someone else’s order instead of getting utensils for him. heard multiple people complaining about how long it was taking. food was alright, definitely not worth the wait. never coming back again.

My 1st time here!! The customer service was awesome. It was very refreshing to have everyone with great attitudes. The food was amazing & worth every penny. The decor was very relaxing & beautiful. I enjoyed the music, not being explicit while waiting on my food. I look forward to going back.

Delicious and extra tender steak, lobster & smoked turkey. Fries weren't over garlicky. I will

Google
I have been here soooooo many times and the food is always dependably well prepared, hot, fresh and delicious! I've legit been a patron since they were in infancy and on Green Road. Today was no different as far as the food quality but while the customer service is always good, today it was remarkable. I do not prefer fries; judge someone else but I like a burger with a salad or some veggie if it's an option. Anyway, I had no idea sautéed veggies were an option here but much to my surprise the kind lady who took my order educated me and I could not be more pleased. The veggies were delicious (sautéed cabbage, kale, onions, mushrooms and assorted bell peppers). You cannot miss with The Railroader burger and my husband raved about his Rasta Pasta; said it was better than every Jamaican restaurant he's ordered the same from.

Yelp
Great food, fun update vibe and friendly service. I enjoyed OMG fries and went with chicken.

Jay F.

Yelp
Truly a bright spot in Legacy. The young lady behind the counter did a great job describing the menu. We split two sandwiches and some fries. Delicious but messy. I'd migrate more towards cheese than cheese sauces next time. The only criticism is the roll. While soft, it can't hold up to the ingredients. I'd rather see a hard roll with a little more body.

Andre M.

Yelp
This was out first time here. There was a short wait, about 40 min but since it was our first time we wanted to get a look at the menu and ask any questions. Next time we will order ahead and hopefully the wait will be shorter. Place was clean but we did notice that no one came out to wipe down tables after people left (at least 30 min after tables were vacated). The food was fantastic, we had wings and a Philly. It was worth the wait, hot fresh and had lots of flavor! Definitely will be returning soon!

Lani L.

Yelp
Fucking Delicious . Placed an online order with ease. Staff was nice upon pick up. Very nice place.

Yelp
After we finished exploring Cleveland for a bit, we made a stop here. It is located in an outside mall. I had bookmarked this spot once I knew we were going to be making a trip to Ohio. I remember watching Eric Rogers on Triple G. I ordered The RailRoader Burger with Parmesan Garlic Fries, and my sister got the Stoner Fries. My sister enjoyed her fries, and she said there was plenty of steak and a good amount on shrimp. Oh, this burger, what made this burger delicious aside from the fact that it had smoked gouda on the patty. It was the sweet smoked bacon jam. The Bacon jam was just delicious and made this burger very tasty. The fries were good but it was missing the garlic, alot of garlic. They were still good with a generous amount of parmesan just needed that garlic. Service was great, we would definitely make a return visit to check out more items in the menu plus a side of Bacon Jam.

Tammy W.

Yelp
The food and service is great although it's a carry out spot it doesn't stop anyone from ordering. Every time I've been there the restaurant has been busy but they get the customers in and out. I've never had to wait long. I wish they'd move to a larger location so we could dine in but what they're doing is definitely working.

Denise L.

Yelp
This was absolutely delicious and my order was ready in no time. I'd like to think of myself as a regular

Niesha K.

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite places to eat!! The food is almost hot, fresh, and flavorful. I've never been disappointed. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is amazing (particularly Reginald). His customer service is TOP TIER. Though I've never dined in, the dining area is also always clean and presentable. Highly recommend. If you've never tried it, you're missing out!

Yelp
The Omg 2.0 never misses especially with the Garlic Parmesan Fry. Definitely one of my favorites that I would recommend anyone that goes there. The service is pretty slow even if you call ahead but the food is worth the wait. Location is okay but the parking is not great.

Yelp
I visited Black Box Fix, hidden in Legacy Village, for Cleveland's Burger Week where I ordered to-go their burger special, the Railroader Burger as well as a side of lemon pepper fries. The staff was very friendly and efficient and the place was clean and sparsely decorated. The Railroader consists of a beef patty burger, topped smoked gouda, sautéed mushrooms, bacon jam, and herb mayonnaise on a brioche bun. The burger was medium rare, cooked to my specifications, and I really liked the combination of the gouda with the bacon jam. I asked for only a little mayo and jam to cut back on calories. I wanted to participate in Burger Week but I didn't want to pig out necessarily. The problem here was mostly with the HUGE amount butter added to everything! The bun was soggy from the butter, the fries were floppy and just drenched in butter. Despite my efforts, this meal felt very artery clogging. Everything had waaaay too much butter/oil. I'm sure this meal had the potential to be delicious but I didn't feel good afterwards. It hurts to give a small business anything less than 5 stars, but the meal was almost inedible. I hope they can make some changes because I would love to change my review to 5 stars next time I come back!

Andrea K.

Yelp
Black box fix is a must try if you're in Cleveland. I got the catfish sandwich topped with crab and it was a chefs kiss. The fries have different flavor option and when I say everything on the menu is chefs kiss, I mean everything. They also have a happy hour for the food. Definitely give it a try!

Katie J.

Yelp
The food is sooo good! Very fresh. I had the Homey sriracha chicken sandwich and it had the perfect kick with a sweet finish. The fries are the aorta ha and garlic parm seasoning. Highly recommend!

Aerionna M.

Yelp
Stopped in while in the area and I'm so glad I did! Amazing customer service. My partner and I had a lot of questions for the cashier and she answered all of them patiently while giving suggestions. Shoutout to her for the sriracha lemon pepper fries! Odd combination, but they were delicious. I had the OMG famous Philly and it was delicious. My partner had the hot honey garlic catfish sandwich. My food was delicious but I kept pinching off his catfish because it was perfectly seasoned. He has been on the hunt for the right hot honey garlic sauce since we moved to Cleveland 6 months ago and this is the best we've had! We'll definitely be back. It's a small shop with only about 6 tables but your food will be served to you with music playing in the back ground. 5 stars!

Anthony G.

Yelp
First time visiting this place. It was on the list for Burger Week. Didn't have the best experience in terms of getting my meal. However, the Railroad burger was amazing. Excellent flavor. Good toppings. Bun was not soggy and the burger held up. Also, the Parmesan fries were very good. This place is worth a visit to try this burger. Would suggest ordering ahead so you have a quick pick up. If this place has a delivery option, we might get to enjoy these burgers again.

Dave D.

Yelp
Great food and service. Ordering to receiving food was delivered in a very reasonable amount of time. I had one of the daily specials and it was delicious.

Gracie W.

Yelp
Awesome place with tons of really well seasoned food! They've got a big menu, so there is something for everyone and they even have desserts at the counter too. Everyone there is always super nice and the food was made really quick and was super hot and fresh. The Famous "OMG" Philly was delicious! The creole shrimp were tender and had tons of flavor, the grilled chicken was cooked perfectly, the mushrooms, onions, and peppers were all tender and seasoned well, the yum mayo was the perfect sauce to bring the whole Philly together, and the toasted hoagie roll was the perfect vessel to hold everything. Great prices for the amount of food they give you. Love this place!

Shalia C.

Yelp
The food is delicious and full of flavor! If your looking for something new this is the spot. I would recommend you check it out. 1000/10 rating for me!

Annika W.

Yelp
Visiting from LA every local told us THIS WAS THE SPOT. I couldn't agree more! I got the crabby catfish sandwich and it was literally the most tender and flavorful sandwich I have ever eaten. I also got the seafood OMG fries, the husband got the Surf and Turf Fries and both were DELISH although I prefer the steak over the lobster. We took it to go so NO PICTURES sorry... also it was so good the food was gone pretty fast anyways. The service was great the people were kind and the decor was trendy chic.

Markeisha M.

Yelp
Black box fix has great food! I've had the Crabby Patty Sandwich (catfish) and it was delicious. Price point is worth it, would definitely continue to eat here! Service is good, friendly and helpful staff.

Bassey A.

Yelp
This food was !!! It's creole -cajun style and it's BLACK OWNED which was an added bonus. Stopped in before heading to the airport and ordered the Crabby Catfish Sandwich and the Seafood Stoner fries. The fish was baked so well with just the right amount of crisp and the fries were so good! I practically inhaled my sandwich. The staff at the counter who took my order was really nice and welcoming too. If there were more outlets I would have just stayed and done some work before my flight. Overall delicious, whenever I'm back in Ohio, this spot will be on my list to visit.

Kristin S.

Yelp
Food was amazing!! Customer service was great and very friendly. We got the Nala Pasta and chicken Philly with garlic parm fries. Everything was sooooo good.

Patricia G.

Yelp
Nothing special about the Legacy Village ambience, but interesting and delightful-menu. Staff very friendly , food is fresh and scrumptious! Highly recommended !

Ray L.

Yelp
Very pleased. Got the seafood ark we fries. Really good, and a lot of meat. It's basically a meal in itself. It's a lot. Also got the OMG 2.0, shrimp lobster and chicken cheesesteak. This was great. It is STUFFED! My only recommendation would be to drizzle the sauce on top. The best part of the sandwich was at the bottom. Overall, I'd give a 4.5. Usually I'd give a 4, But I'm gonna round up for my people.

Ashley S.

Yelp
Good food every time! The service is a little slow but worth the wait! Small but chill ambiance! Highly recommended

Steve R.

Yelp
Everything I've gotten from here has been delicious. So much flavor in the first and last bite. Each taste is popping and I'm so happy to see black owned businesses thrive.

Ardetha T.

Yelp
The food was delicious with lots of flavors. Cool atmosphere with a nice vibe. Staff was very hospitable and friendly. I got the Omg 2.0 and it was really delicious the lobster was cooked perfectly.

Yelp
My friend Brittany B. (former co-worker) told me about this restaurant a long time ago so I'm glad I finally visited. I visited for the first time at 12:15pm, for lunch, on Wednesday, 15 January 2020. My friend Ami was working in the area that day (as an eye doctor) so she decided to treat me to lunch. Thanks Ami for paying for my meal. LUNCH SPECIALS -- Between 11:30am - 2:30pm every Monday - Thursdays, they have lunch specials where some of their menu items are sold at a discounted price. The average price during the lunch special will be between $8-$10. When I visited for lunch, I ordered the LP Turkey and Shrimp Burger that is normally $12 but during the lunch special, the price was $8.50 (or $8, I can't remember). The turkey burger was very flavourful (lemon pepper seasoning). I especially loved how the shrimp tasted. The turkey bacon added a nice crunch to the whole meal. I forgot that the burger had cheese in it so I would have gotten it without cheese because I don't like to eat cheese. Also, the amount of herb mayonnaise was too much for me so next time, I'll get it on the side. I will order this burger again. My friend ordered The "Famous" OMG Philly sandwich and loved it. She only ate half of it since she had to go back to work and she didn't want to fill too stuffed. The sandwich comes with chicken and shrimp in addition to mushrooms and peppers. FRIES -- My friend and I ordered the Garlic Parmesan fries ($4) on the side. They tasted okay. The parmesan cheese wasn't melted as much and there wasn't a strong garlic flavour. They have other fries too so next time, I'll try the Creole Butter or Lemon Pepper fries. SERVICE -- We entered and were greeted by a young woman who was friendly. Ordering is done at the counter and then you are given a number to take to your table. There are only limited tables and chairs here (about 4 tables) and most people order their food to go. Infact, when my friend and I arrived, there was no one inside eating so this restaurant seems more like a takeout place. DRINKS -- I found it odd that a glass of water isn't offered at the table for those who dine-in. You have to buy bottled water or other drinks so I didn't drink anything while eating inside. PARKING -- Since Black Box Fix is located at Legacy Village Mall, parking is on the street or there is a parking lot close by (2 mins away). The parking lot is by Bar Louie. Overall, I would recommend this place. I live far away from here but work close by so I see myself coming back during lunch to take advantage of their lunch special prices. **** - 4/200 total reviews in 2020 - 380 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 18 January 2020

Yelp
The sandwiches here are gooey and delicious. The gooey makes them rather messy but they are so with it. Unique and delicious combinations. The wait for your order takes a bit but again worth it.

Greg C.

Yelp
Had been wanting to try this out for a while as the pics of the food all look great! We got the omg2.0 and some vehicles fries. Let me say this. It wasn't what I had hoped for. The fries were all soggy with the cheese sauce and greasy veggies on top. Maybe that is how it's supposed to be, but I love those kinds of fries and couldn't eat them all cuz they were too soggy. The sandwich was ok, but all I tasted was the cheese sauce- which was good, but again, too much. Wish them well, but we won't go back.

James C.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was awesome. Not much space for dining in, but nice environment overall

Keith M.

Yelp
Sandwich was amazing the omg 2.0 was awesome it's a must try if you like seafood. The seafood stoner fries are Also highly recommend call ahead they make everything fresh so it will take awhile.

Alex W.

Yelp
If you are thinking about trying Black Box Fix, stop what you are doing and go try it. *but call in first* Pros: The OMG 2.0 is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. With what seems like mounds of grilled chicken, buttered lobster, jumbo chopped shrimp, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and Swiss cheese, and their so called "yum mayo" all work together to bring an almost euphoric feeling when you first try it. The hoagie bread is nicely toasted and surprisingly not soggy from the amount of food it's holding. The meat is also not as oily as I would have expected. Cons: Long wait time and not much seating. (We waited a solid 30 minutes for our sandwiches but luckily a table was open while we were there. Quite a few people were standing. Verdict: I will recommend Black Box to anyone I meet now. They have a regular customer.

Jun L.

Yelp
Come with the expectation that this is much more of a late Friday night, post-bar, greasy take out place. There are a couple of tables to sit at but concept is more of an order at the counter for take out/quick eat-in type of place, not a true sit down restaurant. Everything is served in a black take away box consistent with its name. I agree the hibachi burger is indeed very good - interesting concept to pair shrimp with burger. However I was not a big fan of the OMG Philly... which is composed of chicken not the traditional Philly steak. Furthermore, the chicken is slightly dry, and the amount of grease I can feel building around my arteries with every bite. Needless to say, I was not a big fan of the OMG Philly. I agree again with prior reviewers that the garlic fries is lacking a lot of... garlic. Come knowing what to expect and you won't be disappointed...especially after a few drinks.

Leslie H.

Yelp
C-Lo Cheesesteak - wasn't sure how I'd feel about the chicken & lobster combo w bacon bits but the light cajun cheese sauce tied them all together nicely w tangy red pepper on a lightly toasted roll Hibachi Burger - hibachi-seasoned, juicy tender beef & generous portions of grilled jumbo Creole shrimp paired w sweet sautéed mushrooms in a creamy mayo sauce mmm Cajun fries were disappointing - the seasoning was bland without much of a kick to it at all and since our order was forgotten and left sitting in the kitchen, the fries were pretty soggy by the time they finally came out :( Would not recommend dining in if you're in a hurry; they heavily prioritize takeout, which is the majority of orders here, and there's limited seating (4 tables) - it took us around 20 min just to get a table. We were one of the few dine-in orders that they forgot about, so the food was an additional 30 min+ wait Overall a little pricey for burgers and sandwiches but portion sizes are decent and food was great; however, the disorganized service and long wait times make me unsure if I'd come back.

Monica H.

Yelp
This was a great first place to visit during my trip to Cleveland! I checked out the pics on Yelp first and I was immediately convinced that I had to try them out. Y'all I was NOT disappointed. The OMG philly and garlic fries was big enough for my sister and I to split and we were full. It never crossed my mind to add shrimp to a Philly cheesesteak but now that I've had it, I don't think I can go back to my regular ways lol. And to add on top of all the deliciousness, the customer service was top notch. The cashier was VERY patient with me as I asked a lot of questions during the ordering process. They definitely take pride in their organization which we all know is rare to find these days! If you're ever in the area, check this place out :)

Ross S.

Yelp
Upon walking in, BBF, is a lot smaller than expected, but they provided the biggest delivery on their food that I've had in a long time. While the menu isn't huge, and many sandwiches contain fish/seafood, it offers plenty of choices for anyone. The menu is very unique, offering items like the "Crabby Catfish Sandwich" - Cajun-fried catfish, spicy crab mayo, onion, pickles, and ancho kale slaw on a bun. We ordered the Cajun fries, Hot Honey Garlic Chicken sandwich, and the Railroad Burger. At BBF, you place your order at the counter and then it's brought out to you. These were probably the best two sandwiches we've had in ages, even compared to more expensive dining experiences with full service. The staff was really friendly and everything appeared very clean. I would totally make the 30-minute drive again!

Saloom S.

Yelp
I ordered the Spicy buffalo dipped fried chicken today from legacy village location and it was on a special for $7. First of all, the chicken is black, cold and not cooked well. Last of all, I called and let them know about that, all they said is we can't issue a refund but we could replace it. Why would I replace a bad uncooked chicken with another bad uncooked chicken? And here's some photos. You can clearly see that it's uncooked and black.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Black Box serves up my dream sandwiches yeah. Chicken and shrimp cheese everything else, Yes please! What about steak and shrimp we can do that too! How about some Cajun catfish? absolutely phenomenal! I made a point of visiting this location while in the area. I only wish that their website was working, so I could get the menu further east 105th Street location as I hear that the menu is more bigger, which includes pasta as well. But the hours are limited to 12-6 PM Monday through Friday. The prices are more than what you may expect for a sandwich but you get what you pay for in quality ingredients and over abundance. I like that fresh cut fries are an add-on. I typically don't get fries to go as they never taste as good reheated. Order time for pickup is 25-30 minutes so plan accordingly. Very clean establishment and highly recommend!

Zhao C.

Yelp
I am absolutely shook by how delicious this sandwich was! Everything was just perfect. The flavors of the shrimp, steak, and lobster were immaculate and even when we took it to-go, the bread maintained it's softness without getting too soggy. Since I wanted the sandwich to be a bit spicy, they even cooked my vegetables in Cajun seasoning before adding it to the sandwich. I also ordered sweet potato fries, but instead of getting them in the original creole flavor, I asked for them to make it in the honey sriracha ranch, which they were more than happy to make on my behalf. The best part? They are a Black-owned business so I'm definitely all here for it! You HAVE to try this place out - no questions asked!

Elijah C.

Yelp
This was EASILY one of our favorite meals while in Cleveland... i mean we ate there twice in one day (without shame). The food here is just too damn good. On our first go round Kelsay and I both got their famous OMG philly... chicken, shrimp and all the usual cheesesteak toppings. The thing that sets this sandwich apart is the yum mayo, which is essentially mayo mixed with yum yum or white sauce (it's delicious). With the sandwich you can get gourmet fries and a drink for $5, I got the parmesan garlic fries and Kelsay got cajun... both were great! Second to round, I got the Mr. Martin which was mind-blowingly good. it was a fried chicken sandwich tossed in this delicious bbq sauce and sweet onion slaw. I ate that sandwich so fast I was almost ashamed lol. Kelsay got the sweet bleu fire chicken sandwich which sounds like what you think. Buffalo chicken sandwich, but it was spiced up with an apple slaw that gave an interesting flavor. Listen, if you're in Cleveland.... or remotely close, please stop by Black Box, it should be on your to do list!

Mo L.

Yelp
I thought I put a review up for this Black Owned sandwich shop. I enjoyed by Chicken Philly cheesesteak. Some kind of 2.0 new and improved. They have happy hours so, I was able to receive a discounted price. Will support again.

Kimberley H.

Yelp
Good service great location. Was in town from California and was advised to visit. Was not disappointed

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
This place does not disappoint! Even the music was good. Very fun. The one in Legacy is a bit small, not too much room inside but you can get your food to go and sit in the middle park area of the village. I'd highly recommend.

Teresa W.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Latoya is extremely rude. I placed my order a hour before but I had to wait another 15 minutes on arrival . When I asked how much longer it would be for my food, instead of her answering my question. She replied to me and asked me to move to the side and proceeded to state you placed at 12:16 . Mind you it's 1:13 at this point. So if I placed my order at 12:16pm why am I still waiting for pasta . I traveled here from Atlanta to try this restaurant and I must say . I will never be back. Latoya needs to be trained on how to talk to paying customers.

Kile S.

Yelp
4.5 Stars for the food. I wasn't expecting no table service but your car can be a dining room as well I suppose. The cheesesteak was amazing! I paired it up with the Siracusa ranch fry's which had a nice kick. The creole cheese sauce was very flavorful ( I was expecting a more firm consistency) but man was it a nice addition.

Chrishawna C.

Yelp
We got the daily special, catfish and shrimp pasta... it was DELICIOUS and worth the wait!

Michael G.

Yelp
I don't usually rate a place after only 1 visit, but this place earned it. The "Famous" OMG Philly (Seasoned grilled chicken w/ sautéed mushrooms, onions, peppers, garlic & melted swiss cheese, topped w/ Creole jumbo grilled shrimp. Served on a toasted hoagie w/ yum mayo) was so, so, so good. Outstanding, actually. You could taste how fresh every item in the sandwich was, including the bread. Plus the sandwich was LOADED with meat. All sandwiches come with a side of fries. You can choose from plain, garlic Parmesan, lemon pepper, cajun, or creole butter, which was my choice. Fantastic flavor on still-crispy fries! All this, and it's locally owned and operated by one of the nicest couples I've ever met. I made sure to express to them how great the food was before I left. If I didn't live an hour away from this place, I'd be grubbin' there ALL the time. Excellent overall experience.

Greg M.

Yelp
Crazy amount of food. One sandwich has enough for 2 people, plus the serving of fries is crazy large. Came in on a Wednesday at 12:30 for lunch. Was the only one in the joint...had me a bit concerned. After sitting here for a while, it appears the place does more carry-out business than eat-in business. Ordered the 'Famous OMG Philly'. This sandwich is made with chicken and shrimp. They do not appear to have beef on the menu, except for the burgers. Came loaded with mushrooms, onions, peppers and cheese, as well as some secret mayo sauce that was oh so good. The roll it was served on was nicely toasted, but nothing to brag about. Had a choice of fries, and selected the garlic parmesan. They were delicious and rich, but too rich to eat the whole serving. A couple of disappointments. No tap water available, just by the bottle. They also have a public, secured wi-fi, but they lost the password. Doh!
