We stayed for three nights. Room large and furniture and carpets looked brand new. Huge bed. Breakfast first class and dinner great!. Very quiet although above a small bar and staff excellent. Village quiet too and breakfast room full of local history!

Just had a meal here with my wife to cap off our honeymoon and we could not complain about anything. The food was incredible, particularly the steak and the sticky toffee pudding. The option for smaller portion sizes was great and the staff were friendly and switched on. Enjoyed a really nice (generously sized!) dram to finish it off, and after we were done the floor manager, Jack, offered us a lift back to our accommodation so we weren’t walking back in the dark. They even offered to charge our power bank as we ate. Can’t fault the service or the food, will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed for three nights and totally enjoyed our experience. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location was perfect for exploring the beauty of the surrounding area. One of the highlights was meeting and interacting with the locals who own this inn/pub. All in all a fabulous experience!

We stayed at a nearby holiday park and we ordered some takeaway, regrettably only once...we should have done every day not just the last. The food is very good, delicious and fair portions. Whilst waiting for our food to get ready we had a drink and the atmosphere was nice, the place clean and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Fair prices and some games/toys for little ones too. I would recommend it to everyone, go and try it out, you won't regret it. Thank you.

We weren't staying in the pub itself, we were in different accommodation around the corner but we came here for food and what a delight it was. They had ran out of chefs chicken but the chef altered the burger for us so we could have some haggis on the burger. It was delicious. The chips were also proper chunky chips. Food beer selection and the sticky toffee pudding was lush as well. The fact that this pub is owned by the community really shows as everyone who served us were just so friendly and clearly happy to be there. Everyone spoke and it was extremely welcoming! One of the best pubs I've been to in a long while!! If you're wanting food I would recommend booking and they don't do food on a Monday.

Really impressed by the super huge comfortable bedroom and great breakfast- a great haven from Storm Amy for us!! We had been prevented from reaching our home by flooding in Aberfoyle and were so relieved to find overnight accommodation here

A fabulous hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and spacious. We were cycle touring and they found us secure storage for our bikes.

The meal itself was very good, good quality ingredients and well presented. The service however left a lot to be desired. After eventually placing our order and receiving the main course we were left sitting with the desert menu for an unacceptable amount of time, eventually giving up and going to the bar to ask for our bill. Our server was nowhere in sight by this time. An apology was given by the member of staff who we settled with, which was appreciated but what it amounts to is this community pub lost money because we didn't stay for desert or more drinks. Also please consider not putting on a great big screen tv, on mute, when music is playing, especially if patrons are seated under it, it's an unnecessary distraction. Would we recommend? Yes for the food but the service needs to be taken up a few notches.
