My 5th visit, to this community run establishment, and the consistency is exemplary. Great welcome, you can feel the love and pride from the team. Secure facilities, perfect choice of ales, and the food is always well priced and tasty. The locals are very welcoming. TV in the bar is welcomed for those of us who like sport. Breakfast really sets you up for the day and Archie's mushrooms deserve to be awarded a prize. All the breakfast items taste local and freshly cooked and are of a high quality. The bespoke rooms are clean and spacious and the bed/pillows comfy and deliver a great nights sleep. Lovely shortbread, and a wide selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate to choose from. The shower is very good and the supplied products more than acceptable. Finally, Emma's service in the morning is excellent. I hope to be back soon.

Only one night here but made to feel very welcome. Staff are clearly invested in the future of this establishment, and it shows. Food was excellent. Although we didn't try the veggie dishes, our daughter is a veggie and we are in the habit of checking out the options. I saw 5, not including the sides, and that is at least three more than most places. Given enough notice, I have no doubt that the staff would produce any dish you required. Room was comfartable, breakfast was superb but most of all, the staff were accomodating, helpful and appreciative of the guests patronage. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Black Bull.

We weren't staying in the pub itself, we were in different accommodation around the corner but we came here for food and what a delight it was. They had ran out of chefs chicken but the chef altered the burger for us so we could have some haggis on the burger. It was delicious. The chips were also proper chunky chips. Food beer selection and the sticky toffee pudding was lush as well. The fact that this pub is owned by the community really shows as everyone who served us were just so friendly and clearly happy to be there. Everyone spoke and it was extremely welcoming! One of the best pubs I've been to in a long while!! If you're wanting food I would recommend booking and they don't do food on a Monday.

A little out of the way, but a terrific place! The restaurant was very good, a tasty ribeye for me and steak and ale pie for hubby. Lovely room and the. A large breakfast the next morning. We definitely recommend this spot.

Excellent accommodation, with friendly, helpful staff. Central location for visiting Loch Katrine and Loch Lomond A good one night stopover if on a cycling holiday as it's on Sustrans NCR7. However, dinner, especially vegetarian option, could have been better. Worth spending time checking out Heritage Room - very interesting! The Black Bull is Community owned and well worth supporting!

A lovely place to stay our room was large and comfortable, the bed was huge and we slept well. Breakfast was very good and cooked to order. The staff, although all youngsters, were excellent and friendly. We also had dinner which was excellent and such good value for money.

Excellent service. Lovely friendly staff and great food. Only stayed for weekend but we arrived early and were able to get into room. This was much appreciated as we had travelled @ good distance. Cleaning lady was just finishing off room when we arrived. There were no problems letting us in early.
