Black Bull

Great place for great food, excellent prices. Found this place early on and kept coming back. Brilliant full English and great authentic Italian food. Staff were friendly, place was clean and it was considerably cheaper than many other places

Bland food. Don’t bother. Ordered via Bolt 40% off. Very quick delivery but food was very bland. Luckily we had 40% off cos it definitely wasn’t worth the full price charge. The samosas were rubbish. Avoid. Tasteless tiny morsels! Pork dumplings ok and the wings were good, had bbq flavour. Beef black bean was just ok some flavour, chilli chicken bland not that chilli and again egg fried rice bland.

A 6€ full English breakfast and one that could compete with some of the best in the UK. Every bite was unreal. Strong and delicious coffee, great prices and fast service!

I ordered sushi through Bolt from a place called Black Bull Sushi Paola. For some reason I cannot find the Paola branch of Black Bull on Google Maps, so I'm leaving this review on the St. Julian's one. The delivery arrived without problems and the apparence of the sushi looked fine. However, when I started eating it I quickly realised this was the worst sushi I have ever had. At first I thought the rice was just old. I ordered the delivery at noon, when they open for the day, so I assumed they must have served me rice from the day before. However, the problem was not only with the feeling that the rice was stale. The rice itself had a very dull, bland taste. It's obvious that whoever prepared this sushi either didn't have the proper ingredients at hand or else they have no idea how to cook and prepare rice for sushi. Almost all ingredients tasted cheap, dry and stale, apart from the salmon which, although not the best I've had, was okay. I've been eating sushi on a regular basis from different places in Malta for the last 12 years, and I was absolutely disappointed with this experience. It's a waste of food and money. Coming to Google and reading the reviews now I realise that this problem has been going on for years with the sushi from Black Bull. Pity I ordered without checking the reviews first. I will never order any food from restaurants or outlets called Black Bull in Malta ever again.

I couldn’t find the Paola branch listed, so I am leaving my review here for your Paola Chinese restaurant. Today around 2 PM, I visited with a friend who is battling cancer. He requested comfort food, and since we were nearby, we decided to dine there. I am also a loyal customer who often orders online for delivery. Unfortunately, I experienced the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered in Malta. When I placed my order, the staff member was already being rude for no reason. At first, I thought he might just be having a bad day, but things escalated. When I tried to pay, he threw the wireless card machine onto the counter, and later, he even slammed the food pager in front of me. As someone who has owned restaurants myself, I know I would never tolerate such behavior from staff. If it happened in my business, that employee would be dismissed immediately. I was polite and respectful the entire time I did not deserve this treatment. This was supposed to be a simple meal to comfort my sick friend, but instead, it turned into the worst dining experience of my life. I will never return to this restaurant, nor will I order again.

Love this place. Amazing atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating on the roadside with umbrellas. Staff are great and attentive. Food is excellent and they use the neighbouring Asian kitchens, which means there's huge variety. Prices are reasonable and the full English is €4.95! Great for kids too. Cheers! They show all football too on multiple screens.

Staff very rude and not interested. Ordered as a group and ordered Cisk which was terrible. Very flowery and we all left it as was undrinkable. Food arrived by a waitress who literally threw the plates at the table. No cutlery or anything. Ignored while we tried to attract them to get the cutlery. Food going cold while we were waiting. Finally got into the food and below average. Plates were coming down from the takeaway next to the venue. Nothing cooked fresh on premises. Visited many places and countries with work and this is probably the worst. I don't complain ever but this place makes me want to put a bad review as its so bad. I advise people to stay away.

Ordered through Bolt. Food is just plain fried food with a bit of flavor. Lemon fish is just breaded fish fillet drenched in oil and lemon, same with spicy prawns. Black bean beef is a bit okay.
