On the Grid : Black Coffee and Waffle Bar

"What once was Muddscuckers Coffee Shop is now a waffle destination. Yes, you read that correctly: a waffle destination. The only thing more plentiful than the waffle choices is the number of different seating areas to choose from (the long banquette, tables in the side room, at the coffee bar, the long high table by the window). It's just close enough to the university that you'll be joined by lots of laptop users waring earbuds and if you're lucky you'll be able to eavesdrop on some emerging collegiate romances." - Studio On Fire

First time and last time here. Ordered vanilla latte. It tasted sour. Never drank sour tasting latte in my life until now. Ordered two waffles. Waffles took 45 mins to make. And when they came out it was over cooked. And also tasted sour.

I'm new in the neighborhood. I decided Father's Day would be a good occasion to try the waffles here. The only problem was many other people had the same idea, which meant the service was a little slow. Were they understaffed, considering it was a special day? I don't know... I don't want to say anything bad about the servers because they were really nice and kind. But we were 3 at the table and we didn't get the 3 plates at the same time...and the coffees arrived when we were almost finishing... Other than that, the food was delicious. We ordered the Loaded Potato, Apple Strudel and Banana waffles. And there was a family-oriented atmosphere that we enjoyed. Now we need to go back and try all the other flavors! (And maybe on a more quiet day...)

Google
Amazing waffle, the layout and the aesthetic of the inside , gives me a lived in, homey feeling, for example how the booth's leather is faded and cracked, gives the furniture character. Very friendly and approachable staff, all around comfortable environment. This coffee / wafflle house is great! Definitely will be back to try other waffles on the menu. Thanks 🙏

Google
First love, second waffle. Friends and I tried a different location and the seating was neat! We tried some new waffles, had a nice time to chill, and we all tried each others waffles. Presentation was beautiful, not only that, but the taste too! Waffles with fruit have been very light, not too sweet but just right. If you're lookin for sweet, the options between Chocolate/Caramel/Peanut Butter will get you there. Take your friends ♡

Friendly staff, good cafe vibes, and delicious waffles. Also, they have a great black tea selection! A wonderful way to spend our Sunday morning, will be going back!

Google
Decided to try this place out with my boyfriend since it looked super good, I was very excited to try it out. Both the waffles looked delicious and as I was getting ready to dig in, I come across hair.. Very bad impression and super disappointed as I was excited to try this place out.

Google
Family and I got three different waffles and they were all very good. Lots of toppings and a solid waffle base. Good coffee drinks as well.

A small place I used to bike past as a child never thinking much about it, remembering now and finally taking the time to visit it was fantastic. Showing up for the waffles, the S'Mores Waffle was an amazing chocolatey waffle witch would have been amazing paired with a nice hot chocolate. The location feels small on the outside yet big on the inside, with an overwhelming calm presence. I'd say the only downside is that it took a while to be served. Definitely a place I love to return to, Reminding me of the bike rides I one had with my sister.

Yelp
We were reading a lot of bad reviews about this place and though it was pretty dirty inside, the waffles were really good. They didn't take nearly as long as the reviews would suggest at least for us. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was decently busy. This is not a place that I feel like I need to come back to given how expensive it is for a waffle, but it was kind of fun.

Yelp
FOOD: My waffle was sooo amazing, and they had so many unique and fun flavors! Honestly though, the coffee was the true star. My partner and I both said that it was the best coffee we have had in a long time! SERVICE: Both our food and drinks came out at a reasonable time and the staff was very friendly. AMBIANCE: Loved the vibe! Was very cozy and it made me want to snuggle up in the window booth and read a book!

Sarai S.

Yelp
I didn't get a waffle or a coffee, but a lemonade. It was almost dinner time. I really enjoyed my lemonade!! The vibes were half restaurant half coffee shop. To me there was nothing special about it.

Yelp
As other reviews have mentioned, the waffles are delicious but the service is terribly slow. The service gets 2 stars, the food gets at least 4 stars, so I settled on an average of 3 for this experience. We came on Memorial Day around 12pm. They had several people dining in but there were still open tables and there was no line at the counter. We ordered some coffees and our waffles then went to sit down. Our coffees were brought out within 10-15 mins which wasn't too bad. I got a vanilla latte, my standard order at most coffee shops. This one was actually better than most vanilla lattes I've had! The vanilla flavor was strong without being overly sweet. My friend ordered an almond latte, it was supposed to be served iced but they brought it out hot. After fixing this mistake, she was super impressed with how good her drink was! Then the waiting began. The guy at the counter originally told us it would be about a 20-30 min wait, so I was expecting at least 30 mins. Once it got closer to 45 mins, it started to feel like a noticeably long wait and my husband went to ask how much longer it would be. We were informed that they were starting our waffles now, so not much longer. It took about a full hour before we got our food. This wouldn't have seemed like a terribly long time had it not been an order-at-the-counter place, plus they really didn't seem to be excessively busy. Luckily, the food was all really good when we did finally get served! I got the Apple Strudel which comes with baked apples, cinnamon, caramel, and whipped topping. The baked apples were soft and tasted delicious when combined with the caramel drizzle. The waffles themselves were soft and filling. I love that they came with tons of whipped cream on top too. My husband got the Fat Andrew which had peanut butter and bananas on top, he really enjoyed his as well. The waffles are very reasonably priced at $10 each despite being a pretty large serving size. If they could figure out how to be more efficient with their time management, I think this place could easily have an average of at least 4 stars because their coffees and waffle products are quite good. However, people come to a place like this for a quick breakfast, not a wait time that is more expected at a dine-in restaurant.

Yelp
Super slow service. Why does it take 45 min when I'm the only customer?Nothing special about the waffles. I make better myself

Yelp
We ordered over 30 minutes ago, (there was no line), and we still don't have our food. I asked at the counter and they said, 'there's one order ahead of you, it will be about 10 minutes'. I can see how a Sunday at 12:30 pm might have a busy to-go business, but this is ridiculous. Hey friends, maybe get a few more waffle irons?. (Also, we sat at the counter facing the window. The counter was sticky, so we asked to borrow a wet cloth to wipe it down. Didn't make a difference. Permanently tacky). Good times.

Yelp
I love this place. The waffles are absolutely delicious and it's a great spot to sit and have a coffee break.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Service was timely, but looking around there is a lot of dirt and grime- under all of the counter surfaces and dust in the window sills. Don't mind when places have a worn feel, but a deep clean would benefit this space and make eating the food, which is fine, more appealing.

Yelp
Black Coffee & Waffle Bar (BC&WB) is what I would call, "illusory dubious" and you will understand why shortly. Being a baby-boomer, I would say that too many of us are stuck in our superannuated ways. Most of us really don't like change, so miss out on new and special gifts like Black Coffee & Waffle Bar. BC&WB looks like a startup coffeehouse. Simple, clean, and roomy. The hostesses/ servers were nice. But the food was unexpectedly OFF THE HINGES!! I had the "Naughty" waffle. The elements of the waffle worked in concert, like a professional orchestra. So seductively sweet it was sinful! I'm sure the younger generations know about BC&WB, but the my Gen must give them a try! I will definitely return and enjoy all of the waffles! You are a winner Black Coffee & Waffle Bar!

Yelp
We've driven by here only about 2000 times since we moved to St. Paul and never stopped for the waffles. We did drop into the BBQ place next door once and found good meals. Today we felt like a small bite so we went in. The access here is good with a ramp up the backside. The door is manual but easy to open. Once inside it was all level and the restroom is convenient. Counter service was quick, accurate and friendly. I chose the Apple Strudel because I like all of the contents and my wife picked a vegan version of the Naughty Waffle. All of the fruits seemed fresh and the flavors of all ingredients were appealing. I'd go with five stars except for the coffee. It tasted like they washed the dishes in it. We'll go back for more waffles and drink water next time.

Anura S.

Yelp
Very snail like service and the place wasn't even busy. Took about 30 minutes to get food. The food once it arrived (waffles and hash brown) were cold because it was evident they had just been sitting around. Lastly, the hash browns were over salted could not eat it. Service was mixed. There was once very personable employee the cleaned up two tables for us quickly and was very apologetic for everything and tried to be as helpful as possible. Ambiance was cool.

Yelp
I went here for a client meeting and I think that the vibe of the restaurant could be improved with some music and better decor. The coffee is decent but would be better if it was served not in plastic cups (when you eat in the restaurant). Service was good and workers were very friendly!

Yelp
When you see a quality boujee coffee place, you can usually tell from the outside. They delivered with an eclectic interior and a pretty decent cold brew (minimum cost $5, just FYI).

Yelp
It's a nice coffee shop with a great space! The staff is always helpful! If you're a student at St. Thomas you've probably heard of this place because of how close they are to campus! I really enjoyed my waffle that I had there super good! I will warn that the waffles are a bit pricey. There's limited parking space, but there is street parking and I never have a problem finding parking! It's a great place to sit down and catch up with friends or on reading!

Maryan M.

Yelp
had us wait a hour and more to get our food worst customer service ever don't recommend to eat inside

Yelp
Service was good but overpriced waffles with decorations on top. Just felt like I was paying for decorations not really for taste.

Yelp
Found this gem when going to visit a customer in the area and wanted a cup of coffee and something to eat! I love local coffee houses because they always seem to offer a unique food menu! This place is no different...they offer waffles! And only waffles but waffles loaded up with crazy good ingredients! I got the naughty waffle and I'm telling you I felt guilty for my waistline but nothing else! This is a big portion and they don't skimp on toppings! They have about 8-9 different options so I'm excited to try another one next trip! Service was good and there is free WiFi so that helps if you need to boot up the computer or tablet! Parking is limited but it's in a great neighborhood so park on the street and walk a little! To see more pictures of this place and others go to Kam Finds Food page on Facebook and Instagram and join the foodie community!

Yelp
Food: Delicious, savory waffles. They have a decently large selection, however they also have a build-your-own option in case none of their topping combinations sound good to you. My personal favorite is the Fat Andrew which is bananas and peanut butter. Venue: Very cute and trendy, but small. Small space with not a whole lot of seating. Plan ahead if you're going to be here on a weekend as it gets PACKED for brunch. Parking: Small parking lot and street parking

Yelp
First timer!! I always have high hopes for new places! However once again I was underwhelmed. Service: They appeared to be short staffed or something as no one was at the front taking orders and people were consistently waiting. The host was kinda lazy as she didn't want to do anything outside of the norm, take the order and move on. Ambiance: Cozy store front restaurant, not a place for large events or parties, definitely a spot to meet up at with a friend. Food: Coffee was blah.. The waffles were tasty, soft and fluffy like a pancake, I like a little crisp to my waffle. It seemed like these were warmed up, not made fresh. I can't say I will try this location again.

Grace U.

Yelp
I'm writing this as I'm still waiting for my waffle...ordered an hour ago. I'm starving.

Odessia R.

Yelp
I've never left a yelp review. That's how disrespectful this experience was. Paid $3 and Waited 30 minutes for a plain waffle with chocolate chips thrown on top, and one with several deli slices of Ham sat upon it. The "food" was delivered to our table without utensils, syrup, butter, napkins. When we asked about forks we were told it's gonna be a five minute wait for those. You deserve better than this. Minnesota deserves better than this.

Taster's C.

Yelp
2 hours for a waffle. 1 hour for coffee. Don't bother with this place. The waffles are fine, but no better than any other breakfast place.

Angela M.

Yelp
Funny thing. I gave a bad review for Black Coffe and Waffle House. Tried to do a pick up oder would not accept my cc. Went in PERSON AND LOW AND BEHOLD MY CARD WAS ACCEPTED. Beware if you give a bad review!!!

Jaz G.

Yelp
if i could give this place 0 stars i would!! the food was not tasty at all tasted so plain no sugar no nothing !! their toppings have such weird taste and texture especially the whip cream and the peanut butter!! and there was a hair on my naughty waffle!! pretty angry, tried to place a complain on door dash but didn't work!! my expectations for this place were pretty high since it was pretty expensive so i was expecting something really really great but i'd rather make myself some at home for more cheaper and better taste unlike these nasty plain healthy waffles , wont recommend if you like something sweet and will definitely not be ordering form here ever again goodbye !!!!!!!!

Finn S.

Yelp
The waffles are quite good, however, their prices are quite steep and they appear to be understaffed.

Yelp
If you like waffles with an extra amount of toppings you've definitely come to the right place. I biked to BCWB on a Sunday morning. They had bike parking right out front which was nice. It didn't seem like it was that busy because there wasn't a line, but we were still told it would be a 30 minute wait for waffles. You order at the counter and then take your seat so if your with a bigger party you might have to wait longer for a seat but there is quite a bit of seating. Honestly though it was really hot in there, I definitely recommend getting a cold drink. I had the berry iced tea and it was good. Our waffles came out some time later piled high with whipped cream and beautifully decorated with toppings. Every bite was delicious! The cheesecake waffle tasted like cheesecake and my cinnamon, peanut butter, and banana waffle was well balanced with flavors. I can't wait to back as I'm still dreaming of the waffles. If your hungry or looking for protein , probably not the best place to go, but if your wanting to stuff yourself with carbs and waffely goodness than this is the place.

Yelp
My kiddos had a day off of school and I had a hankering for a waffle. I recalled seeing this newer location when driving to a friends house and decided we should try this one and see if it's better than the other one. My vote was this location is definitely better! It's clean, it's modern and simple Decor is exactly what I like. Whereas my 16 year like the grungy artsy feel of the Mpls location. Maybe it was the waffle that I ordered or maybe it really is better at this location, but I found that I actually enjoyed my waffle a lot more here. I agree with the other commenters about the peanut butter being just a drizzle on the waffle and not really much peanut butter taste. Some others commented about seating being an issue during the soft opening. I felt it was well laid out with the combo of booths and bar type seating along a few of the windows. They utilized the space well and still kept a cozy feel. Maybe they changed something since the beginning?? I also loved that they made our macchiato and cappuccino pretty. I'm sucker for beautiful food and drinks and hunt down places in the cities to try JUST. FOR. THAT. REASON. I will definitely be back to this location.

Bill B.

Yelp
My buddy and I meet there regularly for coffee and card-playing. It's just busy enough to feel friendly and neighborly but not so crowded that we feel rushed out of our booth. Rachel is the best! Always makes you feel welcome.

Yelp
Great breakfast place. A variety of waffles to choose from. Beautiful presentation. Can feel pretty compact due to limited seating.

Yelp
Great waffles and toppings, cute atmosphere. I had the strawberry cheesecake waffle and my boyfriend had the muddsucker waffle to go. The waffles themselves are great but I would recommend ordering any heavy sauces (cheesecake spread, whipped cream) on the side if you are ordering to go. My strawberry cheesecake one was very rich and too sweet for me that I had to scrape off a lot of the topping. The strawberries were so large and fresh - if I made my own waffle I would definitely add them as a topping. The muddsucker was also good. Great flavors but maybe a little dry that some syrup would make it perfect. Overall I really enjoyed my takeout experience and would like to go back to try their other waffle flavors! The wait time can be long in store so I would recommend ordering ahead of time online.

Yelp
I found Black Coffee and Waffle Bar during my undergrad and I keep coming back. To be fair, I haven't been back since Covid - but I'm so happy they're still going! My go-to waffle is the Naughty Waffle. Yum yum yum! A delicious hot waffle topped with strawberries, bananas, blueberries, almond butter, granola, and whipped cream! It's fruity and nutty and all around deliciousness! Paired amazingly with a hot latte and it's perfect!
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
If you like waiting forty five minutes to be served a six dollar cup of bad coffee and a subpar waffle by a trendy 20 year old with the personality of a damp cardboard box then this is the place for you! For good coffee go to Dogwood. For good waffles go to HiLo.

Joseph B.

Yelp
Coffee was bubbly and filmy as if soap was in the dispenser not completely rinsed out. The place is fine, but I would just as soon grab coffee at the gas station across the street.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a 3.5 star rating. The .5 deduction comes from the service experience while eating here. My vegan and gluten-free waffle, when I finally received it, was a four star rating I was visiting my sister in Minneapolis. I took her, my brother-in-law, and my two nephews out for breakfast. We got in at exactly the right time = a small line and an open table for the five of us. The person at the register who took our order was super friendly and kind. We ordered coffee, and waited to hear my name. Regrettably, many people came in after us and we could barely hear each other at the table. We walked over to see if our drinks were ready almost 10 minutes later. They were, but we couldn't differentiate which drink had almond milk and which drink had regular milk. When I asked the cashier if he knew, he was curt with his answer. I assume the curtness was because there were three employees total, a line out the door, and a 40-minute wait for waffles. We waited. And waited. And waited some more. I think 25 minutes in all. My 3-year-old nephew, held it together well for being so hungry. My one-year-old nephew had a great time in his highchair, flirting with all the girls who passed by :) Everyone's waffle came except mine. Almost 10 minutes later, I had to go and check if they forgot my waffle, because I still didn't have it. Only after that did someone bring over my waffle. As you can see from the picture, it looks amazing. And tasted every bit as good as it looked. I think I'd enjoy myself here at a quieter time, but Memorial Day definitely wasn't the day to visit. I'll be back in Minneapolis later this summer, and hope to give them a second try then.

Yelp
My sister and I came here for breakfast this morning and not only did we wait a long time for our food (the store was practically empty) our coffee was burnt and almost undrinkable, our waffles were sour? This made us both feel very sick to our stomaches, and there was also a lot of little black hairs in our waffles and the toppings....
google avatar

Jillian L.

Yelp
What a great place! I came with with a girl friend to get some work done and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space to do work. Between numerous booths, tables, and bars, we certainly had our choice of where to work. I was also super happy to see a free parking lot! I got a vanilla latte that was great and we had the apple strudel waffle which gave me all the fall feels. One thing to note, the service is pretty slow and you order at the counter -- so not a great place if you're in a rush. But for a Friday afternoon out of the office, what a great place. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Natalie T.

Yelp
Came to this location of BC&WB for Galentine's Day (!!!) this past February, thinking it'd be the perfect place to get some waffles à la Leslie Knope. It was a quiet evening in the cafe, but the back parking lot was surprisingly and inconveniently full, which meant my friend and I had to park our cars a few blocks away. (So have a backup parking plan before you go!) Cafe is super cute inside and staff is great! The waffles weren't anything super special in my book - hopefully in the future, BC&WB will focus on revamping its menu to get some more creative and special flavors and toppings! I got a classic whipped cream & strawberries; my friend opted for peanut butter & bananas. Our americanos were decent. I might be back, especially if they get new waffles on their menu!
google avatar

Sophie S.

Yelp
Overly priced waffles with minimal taste. I can make the same waffles at home but much tastier and way cheaper. I had high expectations and was disappointed.
google avatar

Nancy C.

Yelp
The most delicious waffles and coffee ever! I love the specialty waffles on the menu and the option to customize and add toppings. The staff is very friendly and loved by the community. If you are in the Minneapolis area, Black coffee and waffle bar is a must have!

Tonette C.

Yelp
Well, where do I start. I drove past this place several times and we decided to stop in, I ordered the banana nut waffle and my husband ordered, I forgot what it was because our food never came! We sat there for almost an hour, nobody checked on us, I had to go up to the counter and ask about our order, guess what? I our order that we already paid for NEVER was placed! Mind you , they say it takes 35 minutes to make your waffle, we already waited close to an hour, watching everyone that came after us get their food. I kindly walked up to the counter, found out they lost our order, got my refund and vowed never to return! My tip is, don't visit this place when your hungry, you may come out the they same way!

Leona C.

Yelp
Perhaps not enough staff the morning I visited. I was not familiar with ordering. No one helped me. Then I had to wait over whalf hour for my food. Don't go if you are in a hurry . Food was okay but the delay ruined the experience.

Yelp
Great food and coffee! I got a delicious waffle with tons of fresh fruit. Highly recommend

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped in on a rainy Sunday to grab something to eat. Judging by the walk up style menu we assumed it would be a quick turnaround. From the start it looked like it was probably busier than they were prepared for because they had to take a number off of someone else's table to use it for new orders. We walked right up to order though the place was fairly full. My boyfriend ordered the Apple Strudel (baked apples, cinnamon, caramel, whipped cream) and I ordered the S'more (chocolate chips, marshmallows, graham crackers chocolate drizzle) except they're apparently out of marshmallows so they offered to add whipped cream instead. Most of the waffles seem to be on the sweeter side but you can get a plain waffle for $5.50, add a variety of toppings for .50 or more gourmet toppings like fruits and nut butters for $1. Vegan and gluten-free options are available. There's something for everyone as long as you want a waffle, no additional breakfast sides like eggs, bacon, yogurt, etc. available. For drinks I ordered a large miel and my boyfriend ordered a large caramel latte. My miel came out right but his latte came out as a small since the cashier plugged it in wrong. Not the end of the world. Both drinks came out delicious and I would highly recommend stopping in for their coffee/drink selection. It took 45min for us to get our waffles. No apologies from the staff that it took so long so I'm not sure if this wait time is normal or if they just don't have that best practice establishes. The presentation of both was great. The S'mores waffle was VERY rich, even with the whipped cream to compensate for the missing marshmallows. Would definitely order a glass of milk with this if you want to order it. My boyfriend's Apple Strudel waffle looked good and he really enjoyed it. Pro tip: don't get a miel with the Apple Strudel, the cinnamon + honey in both don't compliment each other well. I would come back if I was in the area and needed a coffee or wanted to split a sweet waffle with someone. This seems like a better stop for dessert than a filling breakfast. I'm hoping for their sake this was just an off day because the customer service just wasn't there.

Yelp
Stopped in here to continue spending time with a friend after we'd eaten breakfast at another restaurant and until she had to depart for her next destination. This was on a Saturday morning. I decided to order a coffee and some baked item. The place was very busy, loud, and crawling with, mostly, late-teenage/early 20 somethings and had an accompanying frenetic feel. I walked up to order my coffee and did not really receive any greeting or acknowledgement from the man standing behind the counter. And when I did see his mouth move, I had to ask him to repeat what he'd just said because I could not hear what he'd just said to me. It felt unwelcoming and unfriendly there. I paid for my drink and eat (some overly sweet, prepackaged "bar" type item) and then waited at length for my coffee to be ready (I had ordered a "cortado" which doesn't take long to make - it was just so busy). Not a good place to come and hang out a while over a coffee with the hope of enjoying a pleasant conversation with a friend. Likely will not return.

Yelp
If you want a side of attitude and disrespect with you're breakfast come to this location. Originally choose this location because they have parking in the back. I came through the door, reviewed the menu as I waited on the couple in front of to complete their order. (I would like to mention I was wearing a mask and still following 6 ft covid-19 protocols as per the recommendation from the CDC. This might've have been her trigger). My turn, I ordered Strawberry cheesecakes waffles with a cappuccino that is Carmel flavored. I don't know where the confusion came from but the cashier got flustered and started repeating "I can get you a latte." To which I responded "I want a cappuccino with Carmel flavor. Do only lattes have flavor options? trying to REALLY understand where the miscommunication is coming from. She asked another employee to help and started having temper tantrum right next to the cash register. This employee needs training in customer service etiquette. Her behavior was very off-putting so I cancelled my order and left. Minneapolis has two locations and I will spend my money where I am respected. The other location had much better customer service!!

Yelp
I love it when I get to experience a place that Steve hasn't been to either. It's fun to see the look on his face as he first tastes and we swap tastes from each other's plates. There were many tasty looking options listed up on the wall. The line was a little long when we go there so I had plenty of time to decide. Ultimately I went with the apple strudel which had caramel, cinnamon and lots of whipped cream along with chunks of baked apple. For some reason, I thought it would be more of an apple pie filling on top which I think I would have enjoyed more. I needed to add some maple syrup to the mixture since it was still a little dry. Steve ordered the Banana nut which had a nice row of sliced bananas all around the outside of the waffle and a very generous sprinkling of walnuts. He wanted something a bit more hardy so almond butter and honey was added to the mixure. That was the winning add-on I think. We both tasted each one and funny enough, he preferred mine and I preferred his so we swapped plates. It was all good! If I go back, I think I would get the banana one again and load on some peanut butter and honey. If you go on the weekend, be sure to get there early. It seemed that the line and wait was the longest around 10 am on a sunday. I suppose brunch time is always busy here on the weekends. We were lucky enough to nab a couple stools at the bar (and watch them prepare coffee drinks). We had to wait a good 30 minutes for a couple waffles. If you get there at busy time, be prepared to search for a seat or wait for one. But that's the sign of good food when that's the case and I can't fault them for that. One thing though, the way the seating and doorway is situated, if you are seated up front, you are going to get a cold draft every time that door opens! The food is kind of spendy for waffles. A single round waffle with embellishments starts at $7 and goes up from there. Add-ons are 50 cents to a buck each. The ones that have a lot of fruit and nut based glazes are the most expensive. A large coffee is over $4. Be prepared to spend a good $25 to $30 for two on breakfast.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite breakfast places! My husband and I used to come here every weekend while we were dating, and now it's our favorite place to come to for a great breakfast when we're without the kids. The waffles are absolutely delicious! They're the best waffles I ever had. The coffees are pretty great too! This place can be INSANELY PACKED!! And finding a seat can be extremely difficult. But it's worth the wait. There's a parking lot in the back, but it's not for that many cars. There's also very limited parking on the street. All this being said, I was EXTREMELY disappointed with my visit today. It was very empty and very slow which I was excited about, the restaurant was completely empty except for us and one other group of people. We ordered two different waffles, I asked for no whip cream on mine.. the waffles came out and mine had a crap ton of whip cream, but my husbands came out with no whip and no peanut butter.. I took his back to get it fixed, and the two girls working looked at me like I was stupid when they were the ones that clearly got the toppings wrong. After all that, I finally got to eat my waffles and I was very disappointed with how they tasted today. The batter tasted unusually salty and I do t think it was cooked through all the way but the outside was burnt on some edges.

Yelp
Cool soundtrack. They were playing cold cave and drab majesty when I went on a date there.

Yelp
I'm usually a savory breakfast person but every once in a while I like to shake it up with something sweeter and this please will definitely give you the sugar fix you need! Convenient location that's easy to get to with some parking in the back which is always nice! Lots of open space inside with high windows to bring in the sun. It's never been too busy when I've gone which is nice, making it a good spot for a group of friends to get early coffee and bfast or even just to hunker down and study. They have a typical cafe menu set up with, of course, the addition of scrumptious waffles- with some standard go-to choices or a build your own option. I usually opt for something with lots of strawberries, syrup, and whip cream but there are so many different combinations, the possibilities are endless! I will say that despite not being that busy, the waffles took quite a bit of time to get out to us (although not the biggest issue since I wasn't in a hurry) but we had both finished our coffees by the time the food arrived. Generally however, everyone was very nice! Good quick breakfast spot! Would definitely go back!
