Enjoyed a meal here to celebrate our thirty second anniversary. We've been wanting to go for years, but just haven't made it. We weren't disappointed. It was the first of January, so there was a surcharge, nothing unexpected there. That's one of the joys of being married on a day that is regularly a public holiday. Anyhow, we enjoyed our entrees, oysters for my wife, grilled octopus for me. I had the porterhouse, my wife the slow cooked Wagyu rump. Both enjoyed, along with the sides of vegetables we ordered, asparagus, carrots, mushrooms, and pumpkin and sweet potato. There was enough to share. For dessert my wife had the creme brulee, while I had the frozen caramel thingy. I wasn't that enamored with it, but it wasn't horrible, or anything like that. We enjoyed a Syrah for our wine. All fare, as far as I could tell, was Tasmanian sourced. All in all, between the service, which was nice and attentive, and the food, we had an enjoyable experience. It is a small restaurant with as many seats as possible, without being too cramped, but not far off it. It probably wouldn't suit if you are looking for an intimate and quieter atmosphere.
