"With not much coffee in the area, Black Dot is a haven in Stone Ridge making delicious cold brews and lattes using Touchy Coffee Roasters; come by early for pastries or hit them during the afternoon slump before heading to Maple Lawn Antiques just across the lawn." - Coolstuff Team

Google
Fantastic service and great energy here. The barista is top-notch, the coffee is rich, croissants are fresh and the place has a nice community feel. Outdoor tables are a bonus.

Google
Really a lovely and modern place. The coffee is a lighter roast, not too strong, but well flavored. Our drinks were well made and delicious! The pastries are delicious and we also shared the egg sandwich. I find the sandwich difficult to eat with a runny egg and a flaky pastry, would love the option for brioche or sourdough to make it easier to handle on the go- but it was delicious!

Google
Black Dot is the best coffee shop ever. The quality and care put into their coffee and food is unparalleled in the Hudson Valley. Banana cake. CHECK. Lemon cake. CHECK. The best cappuccino? CHECK, CHECK. Yummy snacks? Forggetaboutit! They’re the best. They’re super friendly and it’s a great place for both locals and people traveling through- which is important up here! When I go back to the city I always miss it. :)

Google
Perfect place for real tasty and flavorful latte, even with oatmilk. Experienced barista + La Marzocco coffee machine = 🥇!

Google
What a wonderful café! Black Dot brings the Brooklyn vibe to Stone Ridge, and does not disappoint. They have a curated selection of pastries and coffee options, most of which are locally sourced from around the Hudson Valley. The prices are very reasonable and are reflective of the quality products they offer. Overall the establishment is clean and elegant including the bathrooms. Plenty of parking in the rear lot, with handicap accessible ramps available. There is a step at the door after the ramp, so please note that for accessibility reasons. Be sure to check out their selection of handmade products made by local artisans as well including things such as pottery and paintings.

Google
A grotty cafe run by an ill tempered and impressively rude couple that takes their feuds out on their customers. Shockingly awful service by owners that complain about their business being busy and would be better suited far from customer service.

Google
Cozy cute stylish local coffee place. Their coffee are amazing. So flesh, bitter but not too much and also has a great scent. I have never had coffee like this. Must buy their local coffee beans, highly recommend pour over.

Google
Best espresso-based coffee in this neck of the woods! We were so happy when they opened. How much they care about the craft really shows in the details. The ceramic and glass coffee cups are so gorgeous too. They also sell local produce, flowers and artisan goods. The vibe of the coffee shop is relaxing, and the design is on point: clean and stylish. It’s a weekend ritual we look forward to all week.

Yelp
Our party of 4 entered for great coffee and a small bite, and were not disappointed. As someone, like most who use Yelp, depend on reviews, we were worried about service and the lack of finding a barista who knew how to make a proper latte. So happy we ignored the negative reviews and just went. No vanilla lattes here's but we did enjoy a mocha espresso, americano and iced lattes with maple. If you're a pastry connoisseur, the croissants (chocolate and regular), along with their chocolate chip cookies were A+. Would absolutely return!

Yelp
This place is phenomenal. The coffee is made with great precision and this shows in the taste - some of the best coffee I've ever had. Additionally, the pastries are brought in by a local bakery and are stellar - the croissant is a personal favorite, and even better if you order the croissant sandwich. The setting is very simple and modern, but has a great back patio where you can sit. Highly recommend.

Yelp
City-level coffee in the Hudson Valley. Tucked away next to some offices and antique shops, Black Dot cafe is an easy stop for a good espresso drink. Solid drinks, friendly baristas, but only open Thursday-Monday 8am-4pm, which is perfect if you're coming upstate for the weekend. They use beans from local coffee roaster Big Mouth Coffee from Beacon NY, and have Oat milk (Chobani Oat), too!

Yelp
Best possible coffee! Hard to find and they will serve as you like in ceramic not paper cup

Yelp
The product they serve is very good. Both drinks and pastries. Five stars for that. The barista was adequately pleasant. Easy parking in back. The interior is a bit tired. It's all white paint that really needs a new coat in the seating area. Some of the seating is Plywood benches with no pads. The other employee obviously didn't want to be there and made our visit a bit awkward. Due to the vibe we left immediately after finishing our drinks. Unfortunate. The latte was really good.

Yelp
On a whim, I looked up the Yelp reviews for my absolute favorite coffee shop in the Hudson valley and was completely surprised and honestly shocked to see that anyone could possibly leave a one star review for Black Dot. The owners here are some of the nicest people I've ever met. The coffee is far and away the best coffee in the Hudson valley and the vibe and ambiance of the spot make it a true small town gem! Those of us who live nearby know what a special place this is and anyone visiting our area should definitely take the time to get a delicious cappuccino or latte or anything else. Do not listen to the people who give it bad reviews. I honestly have no idea what the heck they're talking about. This place is special!

Yelp
We needed a little morning pick-me-up in the form of caffeine and an accompanying fattie. We enjoyed their yummy cold brew and a latte, along with a buttery crunchy croissant (while walking through the most beautifully curated thrift store on the adjacent property). Would definitely go back - the place smells like butter!

Yelp
It is extremely rare that I write a poor review yet I felt this was necessary due to a most unpleasant experience. The people behind the counter were cold and seemed annoyed that we were there. The café was out of croissant (our whole reason for traveling an hour) so we ordered a baguette and eggs sunny side up. I love salt ...but the eggs were so salty that they were inedible and the baguette was so hard that it cut the roof of my mouth! And to make things worse, we were rudely accused of not returning a crystal condiment dish! Oh my! And there was no apology when they found it ! On the positive side, the back outdoor deck was pleasant and sunny .

Yelp
It looks like a very nice place online but when you go in person, it's actually very dingy, and not very nice at all. They offer eggs and egg sandwich, type of stuff, but they won't scramble the eggs for you... don't get me wrong they have 100% a full ability to do this for you they just won't ????? lol like are you good? Great customer service.......?

Yelp
Best lattes, matcha, and pastries, and sandwiches in the Hudson Valley. Really friendly staff and great service.

Yelp
It's a cute spot, has a "Scandi"-hip vibe to it that comes off unfinished and stark. Seats are hard and angular, so you can forget about reading a book and enjoying their delicious pastries comfortably. The barista, served us tepid coffee unenthusiastically, but at least it tasted decent at room temperature. The salmon sandwich we got was beautifully presented, but the baguette was as hard as a rock, I felt like I needed a chainsaw to get through it, my gums are probably still bleeding. We asked for smoked salmon to be added to our croissant sandwich, which they forgot--then realized they ran out of--and suggested a single piece of overcooked bacon as the substitute. The croissant was delicious, soft and buttery. So many hits and misses that balance out to a 3-star experience.

Yelp
Odd little spot. Hidden from main road, you have to look for it. Good coffee and breakfast items. Hip spare design, cool spot for morning coffee.

Yelp
Black Dot is the best coffee around. Convenient location, heart of Stone Ridge, pop in on your drive along 209.

Yelp
Amazing coffee, and great vibes. I love their espresso, and the croissants they get are delicious
