We stayed at the black estate bnb , adjacent to this restaurant and came back for lunch after visiting the local sculpture park.
We had the chefs choice, aka tasting menu, with wine pairing. Every course was excellently cooked and super tasty - reminding me of the (now closed) moorcock inn near Huddersfield which had an Aussie chef who liked cooking on an open barbecue.
For me, the wine pairing portions were a tad on the small side, but the staff kindly swapped out a Chardonnay for a rosé for my partner. Next time I would probably order a single bottle.
My only disappointment is that this restaurant does not have an evening service - it was certainly full for lunch !
Great front of house staff too
