This is a great little hotel to stay at while visiting Madaba. I stayed for 7 nights and everything was great. The front desk and dining room staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served each day on the ground floor. The little buffet has something for everyone including warm eggs and a meat dish. My room was spacious, and the bed comfortable. Even had a kettle, which was a lovely surprise. I would highly recommend this clean, and friendly hotel to anyone heading to Madaba. Oh the location is great too. Walkable to all of the tourist sights around town.

After our flight from Amsterdam to Amman, we drove to Madaba to stay for one night before driving towards Wadi Rum.||The 2 grils were a bit overwelmed by all the attention they got from the local peopole in Madaba.||We had a good diner in Madaba and went back to the very spacious and clean room for 4 people with private parking in the center. ||The breakfast was also very good.

The rooms are comfortable and the ac and heater makes them cozy. The receptionists are very friendly and location is good, walking distance to everyone. Hotel is clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast was decent but not too much variety. Staff during breakfast did not look very happy and friendly but they were not disrespectful or rude. The hotel had parking available. If you have big luggage in one of the buildings they don’t have elevator so make sure if you have a king size bed booked you talk to them in advance about your luggage. Overall a good place.

Black Iris Hotel was absolutely my favourite hotel I stayed in whilst touring Jordan - my only grumble is that I was only there for one night!||I arrived a little early and was warmly welcomed by Safia. Her English is superb, and she was incredibly kind and helpful. ||Location is excellent; although you are just a street away from all the shops, cafes and restaurants, the hotel is very peaceful.||Rooms are spacious, modern, clean, and very well appointed. My favourite part of the room though was the shower - which was powerful and I was able to adjust the temperature to suit me. It was an absolute joy not to have a shower that either boiled me alive or was freezing cold!||I also loved that you can help yourself to free tea and coffee throughout the day, which is downstairs in the dining room. You can also refill your water bottles too.||As it was my last night in Madaba I opted to have dinner at the hotel, which cost JOD 10 and caters for vegetarians. The meal was excellent, and far too big for me to finish, but it was absolutely delicious. ||The hotel also has a bar where you can purchase alcohol.||Unfortunately I didn’t get to try the breakfast, as I had to leave the hotel in the early hours. ||The reception desk is manned 24hrs and someone was there to check me out when I left at 4.30am||I adore this hotel, its facilities, food, but most especially the staff - who were all fantastic. I wish I could have stayed for longer.||I highly recommend staying at Black Iris Hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here; staff welcoming & friendly upon arrival. Breakfast was a highlight with lovely fresh orange quarters, flat bread & hummus (another pink/spicy/tasty dip - don’t know the name); halva, scrambled eggs (sausage pieces available- I didn’t try); coffee & lovely fruit juice. (Many tea options & another local sweet & cakes, pancakes & condiments also available). Generously able to pop to dining area during the day to help yourself to tea & coffee & seating area outside to enjoy sunshine. Informative books available to read in lounge lobby. Room: bed was comfy & large room & reading chair; clean throughout whole place.|Convenient location, walking distance to attractions.

We stayed at the Black Iris Hotel at the end of April 24 for 2 nights. The rrom was nice, clean and the breakfast and terrace are lovely. Staff was welcoming and accomodated our very late arrival (we checked in at about 1am as we had a late arrival at the airport). I would definitely recommend to stay there.

We stayed at the Black Iris Hotel, two rooms, one couple and one friend.|What a wonderful surprise it was. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the room perfect. Staff were so friendly too. It was the best hotel we stayed in while travelling in Jordan. Value for money and location couldn't have been better.
