Google
We enjoyed their coffee and pancakes so much! We went there twice during our 4-day stay in Bordeaux. Freshly made pancakes upon order. Highly recommended!

Google
We went here and ordered the scrambled egg with trout, and the eggs benedict with trout. Both were full of taste and nicely presented! The staff were extremely helpful and service was quick - we got our food within 10-15 minutes of ordering. The only negative is the tight space and there is not a lot of seating.

Google
Small café with great coffeea & small menu with 4-5 dishes and alternatives add-ons (bacon or trout) Delicious food, cooked on site in open kitchen next to tables. Coffees outstanding (and takeaway)! Good cabinet with cakes, desserts - hard to choose in between all the options :D !!

Google
This place does amazing coffee! Also, they serve a good breakfast. It’s a limited menu but it is all high quality. Tthey open pretty early - 8am, which is one of the earliest in Bordeaux.

Google
Excellent breakfast/brunch at this super cute cafe in Bordeaux. Very friendly service. The smoked trout eggs royale was delicious!!

Google
Great brunch spot. Fast service. We had the pancakes (savory) with eggs and bacon and the cheeseburger. Pancakes had a very good fluffy and chewy texture. The chef hand chopped a slab of meat for the cheeseburger, which was delicious.

Google
Delicious breakfast/brunch for reasonable prices (€15 for pancakes+hot drink+cake). One of the best savory pancakes I’ve ever had. It’s nice to see the chef preparing the dishes in the open kitchen. The café is very central, right next to the Cathedral.

Google
Coffee is strong and taste is great service is very nice and the place is cozy, which is also code for quite small. If you can find space and you fit in, it is highly recommended !

Yelp
I highly recommend Black List Cafe. It's a small space, with friendly servers. Tables are arranged along one side, which fill up fast. Two people were kind enough to make room for me at one of the tables. I ordered an espresso and yogurt (I wanted to eat light that afternoon) which on top had fresh fruit sauce layer and on top of that broken pieces of hard caramel, not sure, but it was amazing, maybe not for my teeth. The woman across from me raved about the cheese cake, proclaiming it to be one of the best she ever had.

Yelp
Tiny cafe that packs a ton in the most efficient way. The food is wonderful. The coffee is wonderful. They have seating along the wall inside and a couple of tables outside. We had a cappuccino and chai tea latte to drink. They promptly provided water for the table. The eggs benedict with bacon and the savory pancakes were excellent. The savory pancakes had an egg and bacon on top, which was a nice added protein punch to the pancake carbs. Everything was delicious. So glad we found this place. It was a great full breakfast on our last day in Bordeaux. Enjoy!

Yelp
I've been missing matcha so much since I arrived to Bordeaux which is why I am so glad that Black List has it. They also have the yummiest carrot loaf cake and the icing is phenomenal. This will definitely be my Saturday morning spot from now on. I made it half an hour too late for breakfast so I'm looking forward to giving them a try next time around.

Yelp
Very adorable! I'm not sure if I'd call this a quintessential French cafe, but it was a very enjoyable experience. We came for lunch and to hang out and read. For lunch, they had four options: a plate of the day, a sandwich of the day, a vegetarian sandwich of the day, and a croque madame. We each had the plate of the day, which was scrambled eggs, an apple and onion chutney, a lentil mash, sweet potato fries, and a side salad. It sounds strange but I promise it was delicious! The food is prepared in an open kitchen which I found fascinating to watch. You could see their cook making all the dishes to order and it was excruciating the detail put into each dish. The food itself was incredible and tasted very fresh and pretty healthy! A nice change from heavy French food. We also ordered the Chemex, a filter style coffee for two. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but my friend who is said that it was legitimately good filtered coffee, which is supposedly hard to find in Europe. We did not try any of their desserts, but the cookies and carrot cake both looked lovely. Their juices also looked delicious. The place is very small but cozy, and on a quieter afternoon wouldn't be a problem to spend time in. We were able to sit there for a few hours with no problem. Overall, would highly recommend for a cute lunch or afternoon coffee!

Yelp
Good/decent cappuccino but it is a little tight in the shop...

Yelp
So great! The atmosphere was super cool and the service was decent. I wish there was more to choose from for food, but since it's a café I totally understand why there's only a few options. Delicious, nonetheless. And I had my first flat white here--tasty! I ordered the formule, so I also got a orange/banana juice. Holy cow, it was too good. (Definitely try the other options too.) I wish there was more outdoor seating, but I'll definitely come back. :)

Yelp
A must stop coffee/brunch stop if you're looking for a bite in Bordeaux. Food and ambiance is comparable to similar style cafes in the 10th arrondissement in Paris, except waiting times are slightly less longer during peak times and you might get a smile or two from staff. Black List might be the only place in the whole of southwest France to serve matcha lattés but goddamn, they know how to make them good!!!

Yelp
Went there for lunch and it was great. Small Menu, reasonable prices, fresh produce competently prepared in the open kitchenette. Very friendly service. Their coffee is great too. Downsides? It's tiny. Or cozy. Depends on the perspective.

Yelp
Clearly the best latte in Bordeaux as of Oct 2014 - seriously, we looked around. This would be considered a good hipster style coffee place by SF or NYC standards. La Marzocco machine with coffee roasted in Paris - chemex for sale - People working on apple laptops - hipster art - etc Service was great. Location is good for people watching.

Yelp
As far as I can tell the only specialty coffee bar in Bordeaux. Had a Kenya filter here. It was well executed. The location is a bit noisy, but the service was heartfelt. Very enjoyable altogether. Nice break from all the tiny French coffees. Going for a breakfast there next. Just granola or scones, but with fresh pressed juice. All said, looks like a very nice change of pace in amongst all the "authentic" French establishments. I'd go there if I were you.

Yelp
Got brunch here with friends one morning. As the cafe is quite small, the three of us sat outside - it was perfect for people watching! The food and lattes were delicious, the brunch came with scrambled eggs, avocado toast, yogurt with fruit and granola, a salad, fruit, and orange juice. It was all perfect and fair priced. Highly recommend, easily the best meal we had in Bordeaux!

Yelp
Best coffee in town, very welcoming barista! The espresso is very nice and the milk beverages just amazing.
