First time coming to black mocha yesterday and it definitely won’t be the last! It was so good! Food was amazing, service was great, atmosphere was perfect and really friendly staff! My friend is celiac and they were able to cater for her without any fuss. We both got the farm breakfast and it was so good! Honestly now one of my favourite breakfast places in Brighton! Coffee was also so good! Would highly recommend!

I’m a massive fan of this place, especially on a Tuesday where you can grab brunch and a drink for a tenner - not too shabby! The food here is what really caught my attention, an interesting and diverse menu that has some unique touches and twists away from the overdone avo and egg style brunch. Mine was so tasty and really vibrant and fresh. The drinks are equally as unique, with homemade pumpkin spiced syrup, a chilli hot chocolate which was delicious, and a tasty iced matcha. I worked pretty much all day, and felt well looked after, comfortable and cosy the whole time. The staff are very nice, the prices aren’t extortionate and the place has a relaxed and chill vibe. Maybe a little cramped downstairs, but bright and open upstairs. Fab stuff - see you soon!

Such a lovely cafe with a real homely feel and delicious coffee in the beautiful North Lanes in Brighton! We took advantage of their amazing ‘£10 Tuesday’ offer which includes great breakfast options and nearly any coffee, it’s a steal! We both had the ‘not-avocado on toast’ dish which is in-fact broad bean and pea guacamole, very tasty and green. The salad had a lush dressing, our fried eggs were wonderfully done and the sourdough was a winner. We would highly recommend for a full meal or a quick bite, well worth a visit!

Pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a coffee shop. Their farm breakfast is a fusion of a British breakfast with oriental ingredients, it is quite unique and tastes great. The coffee is excellent too. I’ve no hesitation in recommending it.

I came here for brunch, the place is very welcoming and cozy and the service was wonderful. Unfortunately the french toast could have been better. The flavour was nice but because the toast was placed on yogurt it was already soggy when I received my plate and I could not eat much of it because of the texture. Perhaps if the yogourt was on the side it would help. However my friends greatly enjoyed their food, they had the tomato soup special and the garden plate, and the coffee was very good.

This tiny little cafe is so cute! We had brunch here this week, which was really tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the chef was excited that he'd created a vegan chocolate sauce to go with the vegan french toast. It was divine and we hope our positive feedback made its way back to him! We had such a nice time, thank you Black Mocha!

What a fantastic find, we visited twice over our short stay in Brighton and we will definitely be back! The black mocha coffee was delicious but definitely not slimming world friendly. On our second visit we had brunch and wow wow wow it was incredible…….the best thing I’ve eaten in a long while! The staff were super friendly and efficient,. Lots of lovely other customers too…….oh and the coffee is great too. Keep up the great work

Yelp
Heard about the hot chocolate here being amazing, really loved it!! will be back to try the dark and white hot chocolates one day! Suggestions i would request for all cafes is to add a vegan/vegetarian marshmallow option as well as dairy-free whip cream if you're able to supply it! Otherwise a lovely place x

Yelp
Okay, nothing special, but a nice tea house/coffee shop just down the road from Brighton Station. Sticking with my desire to also check out coffee shops I popped in here for a quick tea. It wasn't one of the best that I have been too, and was pretty small, though it was also fairly quite as well, and he staff were quite nice as well. However, it isn't one of those coffee shops that I would especially rave about, and if I ever end up back in Brighton I would probably find some place else to try out.

Yelp
Gluten free and dairy free dessert options! Menu: We came for tea and desserts and was pleasantly surprised that they had gluten free options. Service: I was unsure about the ingredients and I was provided with an ingredient list to that I could confirm that there wasn't any sesame seeds. Venue: Excellent location between the beach and the train station. There is seating in front which is great.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this cute and warm cafe while looking for coffee and a place to rest on a cold day. But of a tight space but makes for a very cozy environment. Great assortment for quick bites to grab and go as well as for yummy dishes to sit down and enjoy. Had a delicious crossaint sandwich and avocado toast with coffee!

Yelp
Wanted a bit of a treat today and I remembered my friend mentioning they had gluten free savoury muffins, so I decided to pop in. In the end I went for the honeycomb brownie, though, which was as good as it sounds. Even better is the selection of hot chocolate. I am a hot chocolate fiend, and you can choose from dark, milk or white hot chocolate. I decided to try the white because it was a bit different sounding and I was intrigued by the inclusion of nutmeg. Oh. My. Goodness. This is probably my new favourite hot drink. It was very nice. A bit pricey at £3 for a small cup, but will definitely be something I indulge in every so often.

Yelp
There used to be a place called Choc-Affinity here. Inside not a lot seems to have changed inside, pretty much the same layout and still the selection of amazing-looking cakes on offer. I was tempted by the "soup and toasted sandwich for a fiver deal" (deciding that my microwave dinner for one that I had on standby at home could be saved for another day). The sweet potato soup was a little smaller than I had expected (although it it states clearly on the menu it is a cup of soup that you get), but it was very tasty. The sandwich (I decided not to have it toasted) was brie with spicy-apple chutney. All washed down with a reduced-sugar smoothie.

Yelp
So, having such a good location, why would you waste it on poor coffe place? Not only was it expensive, the cappuccino was absolutely nothing special and the sort of raspberry cheesecake-like cake I've had was terribly awful, and I would never say no to cake! The place looks really nice, though!

Yelp
Is it just me that's addicted to their dark hot chocolate - raw, dairy free pure Equadorian bliss. Truly this is better than coffee for a buzz. I swear it actually cured a migraine. I have loved this place from the start (as Chocafinitea) and I hope that my enthusiasm has spread as I tell everyone about it. it's not like any other cafe in brighton. If you like chocolate, I'm afraid there is no other place like it (without going to South America which is, after all, quite far). Try it and join the addicts.
