Our server, Cathy, was amazing. We sat outside and enjoyed the quiet and an amazing breeze. That would have made it a good trip. The food, however, elevated it to amazing. Everything was well seasoned and delicious. You have to try this place!

Black Molly's Lunch Amazing lunch specials, we both got the Steak Kabob $15.99. I ordered a Jolly Molly which was a BOGO🍹🙌. She had a Sweet Tea Been meaning to try this place for a long time, sad it took us so long to try it. Great experience, clean food at a reasonable price. Chef even peaks out to see everyone enjoying his food. I gave him thumbs up from across the room & he acknowledged. Must try!!!

My family of 4 walked right in on a Tuesday night and were greeted with a cheerful kind server named Shawna. She kept our drinks full and was quick to take our orders and get our food out. Rainbow trout for me, with garlic mash potatoes. I LOVED it. Most entries are served with a salad. Bread came with the salads. Totally different, but great. My boys had steaks and they were all prepared exactly how they ordered. We recommend Black Molly. My husband had a Bloody Molly and enjoyed it.

I will start reviewing the Food first. When it comes to the ribeye sandwich on a ciabatta bread and the calamari as an appetizer. I give both of these items, a complete five star review and a two thumbs up. The meat on the ribeye was absolutely delicious and tender, and I can say the same thing about the calamari. They were very tasteful and not over breaded. When it comes to the service for that, I left a two star review on it because my waitress was really not that attentive and was more interested in picking up my credit card once we had finished then any other thing. Found it to be very disgraceful that they’re rushing you to pay the ticket. When it comes to the atmosphere in my opinion, I give this place a one star. It was busy as a normal day so the new concept that black Molly has of open space makes this restaurant very noisy where you can practically hear any and all conversations around you. The booths are very uncomfortable to sit on, even though you have a padded booth. It is a very poor quality that you’re practically feel that you are sitting on the board. Overall, if it’s the food that you were looking for … (which is normally the reason why we go to a restaurant), like I said before I give it a five star. But if you’re looking for comfort some privacy and enjoy a nice meal either with your partner or even with family and friends, it might not be the best place to go.

Nice to place to grab lunch or dinner. Was seated quickly, very nice staff. Wait, time for drinks was excellent. The food is amazing, well seasoned. The presentation was beautiful. Would definitely recommend it if ever in the area. I ordered the Filet with two sides. The steak did not need steak sauce since it was very nicely seared. Lots of flavor. It's definitely a why not place l.

I've been wanting to try Black Molly for some time. We had out of town visitors and wanted to treat them to a good meal. We had a group of seven, so it took a little time to get seated. The wait was totally worth it. We had the most amazing meal. Everything from the appetizers to our meals was incredibly delicious. We started with mozzarella sticks, calamari, and there version of boom boom shrimp. The calamari was tender and crispy. The shrimp were perfect. I had the steak sandwich. The best I have ever had. Toasted ciabatta bread with onions and a tasty horseradish sauce on the side. Othwra had the cracked sandwich, Mahi sandwich, rainbow trout, redfish, clam chowder, and grilled chicken sandwich. Everyone loved their meals. Not a single complaint. This was easily one of the best meals I've taken visitors to. I was very impressed. For the quality and portions of the meals, I thought the prices were good. We will definitely be back!

Good quality food but a very limited menu and prices are $$$ for portions. Chicken ceaser salad was fresh and had good flavor, not too overdressed. Others in group liked the lunch specials. Service was great!

First time there-we are from out of town. It was a Valentine dinner. They were very busy and had about a 45 minute wait. There isn’t much area to wait however. Food was delicious. We had the mozzarella appetizer-the marinara was very good. I had the sirloin which was perfectly cooked. My husband had the mahi mahi and sweet potato. He said both were really good. Would definitely recommend for a nice meal.

Our server was very attentive and the food came out hot and fresh. The food was delicious! My only complaint is because they chose to have a trendy high open ceiling instead of sound-absorbing ceiling tiles, it was difficult to have a conversation with my companion, even when sitting directly across from her. When the restaurant got crowded (as it always does) the noise level went up exponentially.

Late lunch. Yep I had their trout with a side of pasta. Perfectly prepared and very yummy. Wife had a salad and added fish. So great food good service definitely a place to go to eat.

Food was good, service was great, but it was very loud! We are going back in a couple of weeks and hopefully we will be able to have conversations among the ten of us that can be heard! As a former designer, I understand hard surfaces are easier to maintain and keep clean, but some soft surfaces or acoustical treatment in the space above would really help!

It's the day after Christmas and it's a little after 1:00 PM and this beautiful restaurant is almost filled to capacity with customers and they just keep coming. Fortunately we were able to be seated without a wait and we were immediately greeted by Jess our wonderful and efficient server - after placing our drink order we looked over the menu and photos of the options on YELP. We decided on the calamari for our appetizer and I must say it was an excellent choice, so tender and crispy prepared lightly dusted and fried perfectly in fresh grease with a delicious marinara. I can't imagine returning here and not ordering this. After going back and forth we decided on the Datil Chicken Sandwich blackened by request, the extra seasoning paired well with the goat cheese and datil jelly condiments, otherwise I think if we had ordered it as stated on the menu it may have been a little on the sweet side, we opted for sweet potato fries which were just okay as were the regular fries we ordered with the O'Hickory Burger which was pretty amazing itself, this quailty burger arrived medium rare with a nice char on a great bun personally I would order this again with a slice of natural cheddar and skipped the lettuce, tomato and onion this burger can stand on its own. The service here is excellent and it seems the owner has staffed it well with talented servers and they definitely got the kitchen staff right as well, the food is delicious and of very good quality. This restaurant definitely deserves a bookmark it's no doubt a memorable experience I can't wait to return...

I was hesitant to come here due to a constant packed parking lot. We took a chance with friends on a Friday night and we were not disappointed. The wait was about 35 min for a table. The bar area was crowded so it took a while to get a drink while we waited. Once seated, service was a bit slow but we were talking with our friends so we were fine. I ordered a steak and it was a bit over done so I recommend ordering less doneness to get what you really want. The salad was good and the fries that came with the steak were ok. We will come back as my husband said his shrimp and scallops were great

Another delicious dining experience at The Black Molly Grill! Arrived at 11:00 am, just as the restaurant was opening. Greeted by a friendly hostess who seated us at a booth. Our server was efficient and friendly too. Two for the price of one bar drinks, beer and wine was an added bonus. Started with a cup of New England Clam Chowder. Fresh, hot and homemade. Enjoyed a Cobb salad, very generous and filling. Ham, hard boiled eggs, blue cheese and all the traditional ingredients. Dining companion ordered the Salmon with asparagus as a side. Enjoyed it very much. The restaurant filled up quickly but service was speedy. It can get loud due to the acoustics but didn't mind.

We have always loved Black Molly, but since moving to the new location we haven't been as impressed. The quality of the food has gone down. The restaurant itself is beautiful! We love the bar area and felt it wasn't crowded when it came to how the tables were set up. Their bread was wonderful and the app Shrimp bruschetta is a must have. However our meals did not measure up. My husband got fish and it was overcooked although the flavors were good. I ordered shrimp expecting it to be similar to the shrimp in our app but I was disappointed. Overall we had a nice time but may just go for apps and drinks in the future.

Love love love Black Moly!!! I meet my brother here at least once a week for lunch. Every server we have had has been great. Very helpful and accommodating. The ambiance is nice with some cool artwork hanging all around. So glad we found this gem.

This gem is wonderful. Food, Ambiance and service all 5 star!! Shrimp scampi and Mahi Mahi with coconut cream and pineapple sauce was absolutely delicious!! Our server Melissa was awesome! Definitely coming back.

I,ve been to this restaurant twice and I love it. Staff, food and atmosphere are all good!

The service is consistently good and worth the wait. I get the mussels every time I come in. They never disappoint and you cannot beat the price. Sit at the bar and draft beers are two for one and the bartenders will take great care of you. The special was redfish with crawfish cream sauce and datil pepper pimento cheese grits. The flavors were amazing and the portion was huge. They never disappoint and this time was incredible.

The rainbow trout is absolutely fantastic I have had it on multiple occasions and it never disappoints

Each day they have happy hour until 6:pm and the happy hour drinks are REAL! No fake liquor in their HH drinks and their food is always delicious one after another it's so hard to pick. The prices are great too. So to recap...real alcohol in their drinks, delicious plates and prices are just right. It's our 3rd time there and we haven't been disappointed yet! Wait staff if friendly and informative. The place is very clean and they do have a small terrace with outside seating along a pond.

We decided to try this place as we have heard good things about it from locals of St Augustine. This place is amazing. We enjoyed the calamari for starters and the bread with butter, warm and soft. Our server explained the menu and specials well. For our main dish, we had ribeye, fish abaco - halibut and datil chicken. The ribeye was seasoned well and cooked to the temp we requested. The halibut was not fishy and the cream sauce complemented the dish. The datil chicken has a kick but not too spicy. Surprisingly, we finished all our food even though the portions were good. This shows we enjoyed our meal. Another place we will frequently visit.

Being new to the area, this was our first visit. It was highly recommended by our neighbors. The atmosphere is nice and the food was excellent. The Tripple Tail fish special was cooked to perfection. The ribeye steak was also very good. The service was excellent and the prices are reasonable. Overall, we were very pleased.

It's our fire time at the new location and we were not dis's appointment. The new place is beautiful. We are inside I got my usual gold salmon and of course it was amazing. My husband got the steak kabobs with broccoli salad and he was very happy. Mellissa was our awesome server she was excellent. We were very happy with our 1st experience at the new location.

Absolutely delicious meal and Wonderful Experience. First time at this place. Totally packed but we're seated in 15 minutes. Grabbed a cocktail before and it was a generous pour. Our waiter Colin was fabulous. We split a ribeye and crab cake appetizer. They brought the steak already cut and plated separately, each with mashed potatoes and a split Cesar salad. Started with the spinach dip that was yummy too. Ended with crème brûlée Very generous portion that you should share. Our waiter was so attentive but we observed the Most hardworking wait staff throughout the restaurant. Additionally, the twin bus boys, Anthony and Christian NEVER stop!! Great food, great staff, groovy atmosphere. We will be back anytime we're in St Augustine.

Food, service and ambiance exceeded what we have become accustomed to lately. I had a skewer of steak and veggies, with a side of shoe string cut beet salad and feta that was excellent. The steak was tender and well seasoned. My husband had a fresh trout fillet in some sort of buttery sauce that he loved. Shawn our server was equally excellent! We will be going back for sure!

I recently had a fantastic time at Black Molly's new location. Despite the busy parking lot, we were promptly seated on the charming back patio. Our server was friendly and attentive, providing great recommendations. I loved the almond-encrusted rainbow trout so much at lunch that I had to order the dinner portion too--it was just as delicious. We will definitely be back soon!

All of the plates that our food came served on were still dirty from previous use. You could clearly see spots on the edges of the plates. Service was really slow, even though they weren't very busy... It took 15 minutes to get drinks, and our waitress barely checked on us throughout the meal. The restaurant itself looks and feels like it could be a cafeteria. The interior design leaves a lot to be desired. The Caesar dressing on our salads was good, but it looked like they were running out of lettuce or something? They were REALLY small. There just wasn't much on the plate. My boyfriend and I both ordered the ribeye. The steak was pretty good, but the sides (mashed potatoes and broccoli) seemed to be completely unseasoned? It was a very strange experience, especially considering that this place has pretty good reviews overall. For the money... I would never go here again. At the end of the night, my boyfriend and I wished that we had gone to Carrabba's as we had originally planned. Other restaurants offer a much better value for the $100 that we spent. Very disappointing, because we'd heard such great things about Black Molly. St. Augustine has a lot of high quality restaurants, but unfortunately, this experience didn't quite feel worth the visit.

Food was good and the service was bad. No reservations allowed so get there early. Place was packed. The mussels were delicious! Bartender could not seem to make an old fashioned even with four attempts.

ALWAYS a solid experience at the Black Molly. How have I never reviewed this place? Happy hour 7 days a week until 7:00. BOGO cocktails that are not all mixer or watered down. I typically don't order steak when I go out but this is the place to do it - their ribeye is just so consistent, cooked to perfection, seasoned just right, and man what a deal. It's listed as a 12 oz and this boneless ribeye may actually be after cooking weight. Comes with salad and a side - simply can't be beat. They are opening a new location relatively close so there is no doubt their success will follow them. Our server Alexandra was friendly and attentive and not overbearing. The Black Molly just clicks on all cylinders - and they are a V8 to boot.

I've never had a bad meal here. I recently tried their trout with butter sauce. Another favorite meal to add to my list! The service is great. I prefer to sit at the bar. It feels like Cheers.

This newer place is awesome! Fantastic fresh seafood and pasta. Simple menu but doubt anything isn't great! I had the Mahi Mahi Abaco...delicious! And a fresh twist app that was quite a surprise! Gotta try the....Scampi Bruschetta

Our food selections were all terrific: - tomato shrimp bisque - Caesar salads - ruby red shrimp dinners Our server, Taya was excellent and very attentive Ambiance was too loud but the seating was comfortable. The prices were very affordable The 'new' Black Molly remains as one of our favorites!

So, we started off on an EXTREMELY bad foot here. Went in around 5 and was told about an hour's wait. No big deal because that is what we expected. However, we literally watched a waitress sit someone who they had a relationship with despite the fact that they hadn't waited at all or even put their name in. Poor practice, especially when all of us waiting had to witness it. Inside is comfortable and laid back. There's a bar inside and they had the playoff game on so that was a win. That being said, we'll get to the actual review. We started with the stuffed mushrooms. They were really yummy! Don't do it if you don't like lemon though, as they are more lemony than buttery. If you like lemon, get the bread now! The Caesar salad was the perfect size - nothing overly special, but good (same with the bread.) We ordered 2 entrees: a ribeye and a filet. Both were cooked perfectly and cut like butter! Just amazing. Clearly, you will not go wrong with a steak here. Polished it off with a piece of chocolate cake. Better than amazing. Overall, the food made up for the walk in experience.

Great interesting menu. Quick friendly service. Wait was much shorter than predicted. Had the shrimp and fried polenta cakes. Very casual ambiance.

Not crazy about their new location/building. We haven't been to The Black Molly since they have moved to the current location . Walking into the building, I was not impressed. You are almost immediately in the bar area; there is one wall that divides the large open dining area. No ambience and it gets kind of loud. As for the food, we opted not to get an appetizer because nothing caught my eye and plus did not want to spend $11 or $12 on one. I decided to get the shrimp Po boy and I was pleased. The focaccia bread was soft and the shrimp was very good. There are plenty of yummy sides to pick.

Do I recommend the place wow that is a multifaceted question in one ⁉⁉⁉‼‼‼ Since I've been frequenting and partly living in St Augustine I have struggled to find a restaurant that is more consistent than Carrabba's which is okay but not saying much! Carrabba's drew me because I love mosquit grills and they try to adhere two Italian tradition which is for the most part true! But Molly is a Rhapsody in Blue just like the artwork hanging over the bar! I will go as far to say and I would like to hear anybody who can tell me and show me otherwise this is the best restaurant St Augustine has to offer and I would go as far as where I'm from is Orlando I haven't seen or been in a restaurant that can come even close to this place! They all have very up-to-date pricing which is ridiculous for the most part 20 30% too expensive for nothing well maybe not for nothing cuz the landlord insists on making a killing on his commercial space which it doesn't pay anything for so the tenant has to slap the customer also because the oil companies are allowed to put the price they want whatever reasoning is behind it it's ridiculous and gouging. No back to the joy of Black Molly the food is excellent the one word does it! Now one can go into nuances which I'm going to do for a little bit..... It's just done right the vegetables are not overcooked they're the right kind of vegetables and I don't care if you if it's your taste it tasted something you have to develop you're not born with it so if you say I don't like it then you must have tried it a lot to come to that conclusion that this is not one of your tastes and most people here in this area or in Florida don't have that capability to state that! The prices are reasonable they don't take you to the cleaners there 20% cheaper than anybody else! They have a great policy on happy hour which is all day on beverage like wine and beer and on the rest it's still 6:00 for a shot of two for 6.**$ I think that sums up the cost concept pretty much look after the customer in a sensibly price menu and make sure the menu is wonderful and tasting for the first time and therefore any other time you come back the same experience is repeated again which is why they're always packed! And I hope God blesses them for being diligent and doing the right work!

Tucked away in a shopping plaza, this would be easy to miss. Outdoor and indoor seating are available and we opted for outside for lunch. The patio is cute with Jasmine vine blocking the sun and making it comfortable. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with questions about the menu. I went with the magi tacos with the beet salad and it was excellent. Magi was perfectly cooked and the lime/ cabbage mix was yum. Beet salad with goat cheese was stellar. My son's grilled cheese was a little over cooked, but he ate most of it regardless. Overall, wonderful experience and if we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back.

4 stars completely attributable to the service provided by Quinn - she greeted us with a smile and got the entire table of 12 drinks and food correctly delivered and even separated our checks at the end of the evening! Awesome! 2 stars ... if based on hostess greeting - many might simply turn around and walk right back out the door. Not welcoming. I had a view of her off and on all evening & never cracked a smile. We were an inconvenience, at best and worse - her response "that's just the way we do it here" when we walked in at 4:45PM on a Monday night and requested either two tables or one large for party of 12 ... "not happening" ... we even called when they opened to provide a heads up we we're coming - response was, 'really, we don't take reservations' ... got it ... just thought you'd like to know. Oh well. 3 stars ... for food. Out of their special "salmon with cucumber dill sauce" ... ok ... understandable ... a few got Mahi instead or Rainbow Trout ... not a big deal. But trout was overcooked and a bit dry. The Chef's Salad was excellent & the Burger w/ fries cooked perfectly. Crab cake's okay and the shrimp good. Only my 2nd time eating here & first time for dinner - will probably hit up another place before coming back again. Parking close was limited as many cars were not parked inside their lines. But restaurant is in a large shopping center - so plenty of parking if ok to cross street. Seating outside was available, but the smoker's had overwhelmed the area and we definitely felt it would not be a pleasant dining experience.

We met our friend here to grab dinner at the new location. It was great! There is tons of parking and it's easy to get too. Inside it is bright and spacious. They have the same iconic large booths in part of the restaurant that they had prior. Our server was also great! He recommended a dessert, that we will also recommend to you! We did try it and loved it (see pictures)! The mushroom appetizer was delicious and you can't go wrong with any pasta choice either! My staple choices are usually the dátil chicken or one of the fish dishes. We had been going to the old location for years as a family and this new building is even closer to our family home now. We can't wait to come back!

What a great spot and their new location is really nice. The staff were very friendly and the prices were really amazing, the 2 for 1 drafts were nice and cold. I had some clam chowder and Oscar topping on my white fish, both were delicious. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!!!!

So glad The Black Molly is back and at their new location. The food was awesome cooked perfectly. I had the shrimp and scallops so good!! Husband had the special which was the RedFish and pimento cheese grits with collards and the was really good and I don't Like pimento but it worked for this dish. Dessert we had triple chocolate cake and omg so good!! Our waitress was Tiffany and she was amazing and very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu! Overall great experience with food service and great atmosphere!

Tonight my wife, granddaughter and I, along with another couple tried Black Molly's in their new location. The food and service were excellent as usual, however, the new place is noisy. Noisy enough to make a conversation hard. Also, they didn't have any drinks for kids. Luckily we were able to get some milk from the bar thanks to a very helpful bartender. We will definitely go back, hopefully it won't be quite as busy.

Amazing crab cakes. I am always so skeptical to order them but these were so incredible in my opinion. I got the blue cheese burger it was cooked to perfection and my husband got the shrimp and grit cake. Tasty small portion if you come for lunch next time we will order the dinner portion. It's a little warm in the restaurant I understand it's summer but lower the air. It was all very good and we will be back.

Shout out to Mikayla! She was fantastic. So informative and helpful to make a decision. Everything was delicious. We were all full but had room for the dessert's!

I called to purchase my mother a gift card for her birthday/Christmas as they love the restaurant during the winter months. I was told to call the next day when it wasn't busy dinner service( understandable). I called at 11 the next morning when they opened. was told they would call me back to setup the gift card purchase and mail it to me. I was never called back.

I highly recommend the black Molly grill. My boyfriend had the ribeye which was cooked to perfection. Delicious. I would also order the stuffed mushrooms. They were fantastic!

This was a hidden gem that was shared by some friends who had been there before and highly recommended. I must say, it didn't disappoint. Once inside, we found the place pretty clean, very roomy, and looked familiar. Considering it was the weekend, I found that we're seated relatively quickly. I like that they had interesting drinks to fit the season, and their menu was well rounded, but not overly expensive. I ordered one appetizer along with drinks for the Mrs and I. Kids got fountain drinks. I wanted meat, so I had the steak, while my wife went for the seafood, a shrimp dinner with a spin on grits. My son also had seafood and had trout, which was quite delicious, according to him. My girls got their usual favorites, burger and fries, and chicken tender ceaser salad. The food came out fairly quick too. We hadn't even finished the bread yet when the first plates came to the table. I highly recommend this one if you like good food, drink and very competitive prices. We will definitely be dropping in again in the future.

Another great experience at Black Molly! Been going here for a while now and prefer to sit at the bar but wow... their 2 for 1 happy hour has caught on and at 4:30 the bar was packed and a 15 min wait for a table. We got a drink at the bar and the bartender wrote something on my receipt so we got our free drink at the table! Very nice and also rare. I have had most things on the menu but never a steak. I ordered the ribeye that was pan charred and wow. Perfect crust perfect warm red center and very flavorful. Veggies and a salad made it a fairly healthy option (well... for a steak dinner). Service was good but not the usually great but with a full house before 5 it was damn good ! Ambiance is a little modern compared to some of our other favorite St A places but all in all a great place to frequent... oh did I mention plenty of free parking? Hard to find that at our other fav spots.

Loved this local treat! Was welcomed by lovely young ladies, a small wait but worth it. The service was fantastic and the food was satisfying. What more can I say but thumbs up see you again soon! 5 Stars all the way!

We had a delicious dinner of shrimp and grits cake and marine street pasta. Both dishes were so good. Our server, Cathy was fabulous and very attentive. We will come back again.

Dined at the Black Molly for the first time on Monday evening. There was a bit of a wait but, after eating there, I understand why it was so busy on a Monday! We ordered the Fish Abaco with Mahi Mahi it was prepared perfectly - the coconut rum sauce was so good, I used the rolls (which were also delicious ) to sop up what was left! We also ordered the Ribeye. The dry rub on the Ribeye and the sear were both amazing - it was cooked perfectly. Other tidbits - the honey whipped butter for the rolls and baked sweet potato was perfect. For dessert we had bourbon pecan pie-cheesecake and a blueberry-datil pepper cheesecake, both were amazing. If you haven't been to Black Molly, I recommend you go!
