We spent eight days in Vietnam and generally experienced good food and service. Unfortunately, this dinner was a complete disaster.
The staff were very slow and poorly trained. I ordered a soft drink with no ice, but it was served half empty. When I asked the waitress about it, she said that because I opted out of ice, that was the correct portion. What a joke.
We ordered the meat medium rare, but the kitchen only managed to cook one piece correctly. We also ordered two extra portions of fries with Parmesan, in addition to the one included with the platter. Only one extra portion arrived, and it had no cheese at all.
We were informed that the kitchen would be closing soon, yet after that we did not see a waitress for 30 minutes—even though only four tables were occupied and there were six waitresses on duty.
In the end, we spoke with the manager, who failed to understand any of the issues and simply asked us to pay the bill, deducting only the soft drink.
