Lovely accommodation and in a great location. We had a one bed apartment with a balcony - kitchen area well equipped and with dining area. Comfortable lounge area. Location was perfect - close to shops and restaurants and pick-up point for excursions. Harbour is 2 minutes walk and has boats offering whale watching trips.

We loved staying at Black Pearl Luxury Apartments during our week in Iceland. It was great to have use of a full apartment. The staff were very nice and helpful. They helped us when we had an issue with our flights/airport transportation. Location is very close to a bus stop so it is easy to go on tours from any of the tour companies. There is a great bakery right next to it, and it was good to grab a yummy breakfast sandwich each morning on our way to the bus stop for a tour. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

After staying in cozy hotel rooms, it was a luxury to walk into our apartment at the Black Pearl. It was spacious and fully equipped, with high-tech lighting that delighted us. The bed was quite comfortable, and the entire apartment was lovely. The location is great,with numerous restaurants and shops nearby. We had a couple issues with the staff: the cleaner left the door ajar, so that anyone with access to the building could have stolen our stuff; and after my husband mistook the checkout for noon rather than 11am, the receptionist told us at 11:25 that we would be charged an additional €250 for a noon departure. We scampered out of there quickly and avoided the additional charge, which seemed quite excessive.

We spent three nights at the Hotel Black Pearl and were absolutely delighted. This apartment-style hotel is located near the old harbor – a central and attractive location. The rooms are exceptionally spacious and tastefully furnished, making you feel at home right away. We’d especially like to highlight the warm and helpful welcome: at check-in, we were personally shown to our room, and any small questions were answered on the spot. Unfortunately, our stay was far too short, but next time the Hotel Black Pearl will definitely be one of our top choices. A clear recommendation for anyone who values comfort, style, and a prime location!

We stayed at the Black Pear for the very first time in August. We took their two bedroom apartment. The stay was lovely. This one had its own elevator in terms of the floor it stops on just had our room. The daily breakfast which has an additional charge was wonderful. This room has extraordinary views and the apartment was beautiful with modern appliances and everything you could want. Location was perfect as well. The staff was professional and very responsive in all ways.||This is our third stay in this city prior to a cruise since 2021 and on our next visit we will return here again.

Top class hotel with extraordinary service. German was fully attentive to every detail we needed. We had a nice kitchen and room, and it was convenient to walk to restaurants, we loved it. I would prefer to keep the climate cooler, and it was difficult to cool the apartment below 20 without opening a window.

We stayed in a 1 bed apartment in November 2025. When we arrived the host was very friendly and took out number to contact me when our room was ready as we’d arrived earlier than check in. |When we got to our room, the host took us through the lighting and facilities and was available for any questions about the city and getting around etc.||The apartment itself was excellent. Immaculately clean, quiet, and spacious. We had the sofa bed set up in the living room which was comfortable. There is a full kitchen so you can buy in food and cook your own rather than eating out which can get expensive there. |The heated tiles in the bathroom were so lovely when we’d returned from a day of exploring absolutely freezing! ||The apartment is a 4 minute walk from bus stop 4 which was our pick up and drop off for all tours so absolutely perfect.||Can’t recommend enough - we’ll definitely be back again.

Great location. Easy to get to from bus stop 4 which is on the harbour and downtown. The standard apartment was a good size and we had the sofa bed made up (ask in advance). Tea and coffee provided. Room was tidied every day. Only 2 negatives - we could not work out the lighting as it was way too complicated and quite dim. The main bedroom was a bit noisy by the road.
