Black Pepper Bistro & Bar

Great food and even better drinks. The frappes were delicious. I enjoyed a Moscow Mule with lavender, which was probably the best I ever had. My wife had a mimosa with cherry. The food was well priced with good sized portions....maybe to good. There house cheese sauce is savory yet light. Definitely a spot to hit if you are in the area.

I ordered a sandwich to go and was served with a sautéed potato side. Unfortunately they were a bit too greasy and my sandwich got soagy. But service was great and the coffee too. Place is decorated for Christmas and is beautiful. I will definitely give them another chance.

As I began writing this review, this is one of the places that makes you say, “how to begin”. Let me start with the amazing customer service we received upon entering Black Pepper. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. Next, the environment is welcoming and you feel quite comfortable. On to the food, we ordered three (3) different entrees and cold and hot drinks. Let me begin with the entrees, the triple meat omelet, chicken and waffles and a grilled cheese. All of these were phenomenal, the explosion of flavors was exceptional. The presentation was appetizing and inviting. We ordered two (2) cappuccinos and two (2) natural juices, passion fruit and orange. Both juices were very refreshing and natural. We enjoy eating brunch in different place, yet, by far Black Pepper takes 1st place on my list of places to eat Brunch in Northern Puerto Rico (Hatillo). It is located in the center of the town, making it quite accessible. Our overall experience was exquisite and if I could give them more stars, I would. If you enjoy eating brunch as much as I do, then I highly recommend Black Pepper. You will not be disappointed with the diversity of entrees and drinks, let alone with the flavorful food they offer.

I'm a fan of this place. I try to go at least once a month. Once you arrive, you are warmly greeted. The atmosphere is great. The place is always beautiful, especially around Christmas time. Owners are sweeter than honey and will make you feel welcome. Food, well prepare to fall in love with coffee. I don't have a favorite. Every time I go, I order the season special. I have never been disappointed. My favorite breakfast is "El desayuno de mami " the pumpkin pancake are the best! Just go and enjoy. Little detail to know, it can get a bit crowded at certain times. They will make a list if necessary. Please don't get mad or yell at them. They do their best to make you feel awesome while you eat in the restaurant.

The environment was pretty and relaxing. My food was well prepared but the taste wasn’t pretty good. I’m sure they have the opportunity to improve this. Seasonal things like Pumpkin Coffee and Coquito French Toasts. Service was excellent!!!

Feels like a slice of heaven in paradise - friendly staff, great menu selection & excellent americanos & lattes. We’ve been here daily on our vacation. One morning, the server even adding a beautiful lavender color to my vanilla latte & it made my day!
