Easy and very plesent hike up the moutain to the first easy view point, about 45-60 mins each way views were stunning, even if your not a good walker it is very doable and well worth it, nice place to rest up at the top lil open air hut with roof and benches, would reccomend you bring snacks and drinks with you before you travel here as nothing is close by to buy any before you start the hike

We love taking walks here. I suggest comfortable shoes with thick soles as often the rocks along the trail are uncovered. Be sure to bring your bug spray and then, enjoy your walk. There's a detailed sign giving directions for your preferred level of difficulty. There are places to have a meal near the visitors center. All-in-all, a great place to spend an afternoon.

Very peaceful place!
The little boutiques are cute and very ecologic!
The monkeys are cutee and know how to pose for the camera😅😅
The little issues are that the ice cream trucks sells ice cream and cakes at exorbitant prices and this in my opinion should be a controlled one
And also bathroom services would be greatly appreciated since this is a big touristy area and usually crowded!
Otherwise great view, maintained natural spaces!
Recommended 100%
Plus point for zero entry fees!

A lovely natural spot. We walked from the Petrin entrance following the Machabees forest loop which took around 2.5hrs. Worth a visit if you have time, but personally we preferred the Tamarind Falls hike where you can swim and enjoy a waterfall massage.

You have to do the Black River Peak Trail. Maybe not in Summer or Flip Flops. Last part might kill you. But the 360 degree view is something.

I didn’t meet monkeys along the way and it was a short walk to the view point. Part of the way was lined by shops, which made it interesting and lively.

What an incredible place. The scale of the gorge takes your breath away, especially for a small island. The vista is incredible, which also includes waterfalls. There is a path to the large viewing point, and so you don't need to wear boots. There is also a trail to go on. Facilities include carpark, stalls selling drinks and souvenirs, and toilets.

Peaceful and beautiful walk in nature. We found goyave de chine, red pepper and prune that were delicious to eat. I didn’t see too much litter on the floor which is a good sign that people respect the environment. The view from the top is beautiful. You’ll have a very nice hike
