Black Shed

This place was absolutely adorable and I don’t know why have not been there sooner. People said it was special , but I didn’t know it was fabulous and it truly is from the gardens to the shop to the bar to the cool little nooks and Koi Ponds and the TP Hut… I mean it is just fantastic and I can’t wait to host a gathering there. Check out their events calendar they have food vendors all the time ! And they even have these fantastic bug away and sticks that smell amazing and work so well I am in love!!!

Chill vibes with pretty setting. Nice to grab a coffee, cocktail & snacks while browsing & shopping the garden & shop. Several other things to shop for gifts or to treat yourself. The little bar offers unique & delicious cocktails. The food truck of the day was Humpty's Dumplings. So yummy! Nice variety of dumplings packed full of deliciousness. Can't wait to go back next time they are there. The place is also dog friendly.

Nicely edited collection of planters, plants, water features and much, much more. The gardens had an Austin, Texas vibe. Cocktail bar was adorable and refreshing. It was worth the drive.

Wow, what a gem of a place! This store isn't just selling plants, flowers, and gardening supplies; it's offering an experience. The beautifully designed outdoor spaces are a delight to wander through, and the service is truly top-notch – you can tell they care. And the fact that you can sip on a cocktail while browsing? That's a brilliant touch that elevates it from a simple store to a destination. Highly recommend a visit!

visited for the first time for their winter wonderland and we were blown away by how beautiful the shop was! drinks were also delicious in their gem of a bar. they do have food trucks and a small coffee shop. it is pet friendly but only outside. definitely worth the trip!

We’ve been coming to the black shed for over a year now and love it. They have some neat plants you don’t see in other garden centers and really nice merchandise in their store. The #1 highlight for us however is grabbing a drink and enjoying it in their garden. Greg is the best bartender around - I won’t even bother getting a drink at other restaurants/bars in the area because I know it will pale in comparison to his. His drinks are amazing, especially the frozen ones (ingredients made in house), so as long as Greg is there, we will always be back for another round :)

We are so happy a nice couple told us about this place a couple of years ago and we finally made it and were blown away by the beautiful property. Everything you see as you explore is for sale and we love that they show off everything in a useful way amongst the property. You too can have a stunning outdoor space at your home with enhanced landscaping. The garden center sells plants, flowers, gardening tools, planters, baskets, structures, and so much more to make the garden of your dreams (check out the teepee!!). There is also a cafe serving up coffee, tea, pastries, with more options coming soon. We are letting the secret out, there is a hidden bar with a seasonal menu open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. And, if that wasn’t enough, there are food trucks. Beautiful space, hidden gem. Loved the decorations inside the store and cafe. The iced coffee is priced fairly and the ice cream, while small portioned, is DELICIOUS. Had a very accommodating barista. The bar staff was very quick and friendly. The plants look healthy and it's fun to just explore the grounds. Tons of places to sit and you can reserve bigger spaces for groups. The dumpling truck had tasty and unique flavors. The plants and gifts are a big on the pricier side but everything was cute and aesthetic. Absolutely going back.

When someone was telling us about the Black Shed, I had no idea what to expect, as it sounded like nothing I had ever heard of, and that was exactly what we encountered. The gem of a place was mainly a garden center with plants and flowers both inside and out. However, scattered amongst the branches and blossoms inside were a coffeeshop with homemade baked goods, cafe tables and lounge-like couches, a bar making drinks with freshly-grown herbs, and a shop with upscale home decor, kitchenware, and gourmet food products. Outside resembled an elegant rose garden with plenty of seating, as well as rotating food trucks and musicians. After we explored the grounds, we grabbed drinks from the bar (a herbaceous, citrusy mocktail for me and a cherry margarita for my companion) and sat outside among the flowers. It was a great experience at one of the coolest venues I had ever seen!

Not worth it, looks like your average terrain but staff is NOT kind. It is also NOT family friendly and kids are not allowed and apparently dogs aren't either. Wanted to love it but we will not be back.

The hidden gem is a dream getaway for people like me: gardener, music, cafe, full bar and amazing shop. Hot hot day but the frozen Aperol Spritz was the perfect way to keep me cool. Walked the grounds with many oohs and aahs along the way. Garden ideas were numerous, great pricing on pots and plants. So many places to sit to cultivate conversation with friends or resonate in silence! I want to share the magic of this gem but also want to keep this secret to myself! I must visit - enjoy the drinks and the food truck!

Most adorable place with a bar and coffee bar and huge outdoor seating area. The bar was closed when I went but the coffee bar was great.

@blkshd is UTTERLY charming! Infinity Yelp stars!!! So unassuming from the road but when you get in, you wanna stay in. The weather wasn't ideal but man, if it was, cash me ousside!! Gorgeous seasonal shop with a coffee shop AND a bar/speakeasy-ish place inside. LOTS of dedicated outdoor space (when the weather is better) for fire pits, live music, and food trucks. The shop is full of unique finds, pretty plants, and everything you didn't think you needed but absolutely do! Came during their Winter closing sale so everything was crazy cheap and who doesn't love quality stuff on sale!?! The service was checking out was ok but the service at the bar was EXCELLENT! What a great bartender! And I wish there was a separate Blk Shd Bar Yelp page because that's a whole different review. It was OUTSTANDING! Small, SOLID drinks WORTH the price!! Can't wait to come back in the Spring!

Stopped by to partake of the Mexican food truck. Got there a bit early so we wandered around to admire the plantings and the building. We had dessert first ( chocolate chip cookie and a salted caramel brownie) while the food truck got ready. Dessert was delicious. The food truck's menu was simple which was great. If one is in the area, it is a great place to stop.

I'm almost relieved that this place is about an hour away from me. It is so dope that I would be here more often than I should while spending my dough. My BFF introduced me to this hidden gem and I'm so glad that she did. It is tucked away, but the trek is oh so worth it... Let me see, how can I describe... it is like a whole experience disguised as a nursery lol. Yeah, you can get your garden items and every plant under the sun, but you can also get food (on weekends), inspirational decor (a little pricey, but worth it), plan a private event, and get a drink at the same time! All I can say is check out their upcoming events, because it will surprise you how awesome things really get. Laith, part owner, was really informative and friendly... and knows how to sell his place, even though he really didn't have to. I cannot wait to return and from the looks of their calendar, I have many reasons to make that happen!

What a cute little stop in the middle of nowhere! If you're in the mood for a cute little shop to check out, buying a Christmas present, or just need something to drink, they're a great place to check out. If you have checked out Terrain in Doylestown, it's very similar. Plenty of parking in a gravel lot and they have a little café inside where you can get a hot chocolate or latte and a snack. They also occasionally have an open bar, but make sure to check out the hours online or social media. The staff were very busy this time of year but nice and I can tell that they worked hard to keep the ornaments and decorations for sale in a neat tidy fashion. It almost feels like you're in another world walking through with all the trees and decorations. The prices are steep, but the items are unique and well-made if you have that kind of budget. I do wish there was more local made items and things besides candles and ornaments. I sadly didn't get a chance to walk around their gardens and outdoor selection of items as it was pretty chilly, but I bet this place is so beautiful in the spring! This is a one of a kind unique place in Royal New Jersey that you absolutely must check out! (They will occasionally host events and food trucks so be sure to look!)

This place was simply amazing. So many incredible Christmas decorations. ... not to mention the attached bar! The bartender was lovely and so were his drinks!

This place is SOOOOO cool. It is more than just a plant shop. There are plenty of plants, to be had for sure, but there is also an amazing selection of plant accessories, faux flowers, dried flowers, pottery, planters, tools and a huge variety of home decor pieces. They have beautiful outdoor garden spaces for you to sit, a coffee shop and a BAR to add to the entire experience. As if that wasn't enough to set this place apart, what really takes it over the top is that all of the products that are offered for sale seem to be so thoughtfully chosen. There is nothing standard or ordinary about them. All of their wares are displayed and styled so beautifully. I could stand and stare for 5 minutes at one display, just taking it all in. The bar area was stunning in a Halloween theme! The owners and employees are so artistic and beyond talented. If you need help decorating a space or designing an arrangement, somebody will be happy to help you figure it out, I'm sure. Until my last visit, I didn't realize that they offer other events besides food trucks on the weekends. They have some workshops and will have a Winter Market which I am very excited to experience. Come spend the afternoon taking it all in and grab a drink and some food while you're at it!

Absolutely amazing what they have done to an old farm. Service was great, Beautiful gift shop. Certain days they have nice events with live entertainment and food.

Lots of my favorite things in one place! All the plants, home decor, landscaping, cocktails, food trucks, outdoor seating, fire pits, live music.. Great spot to shop and grab dinner on a weekend! Only thing we recommend is more bathrooms. Lots of people are catching on to this great place and there's usually a line for the restroom.

This place is a magical wonderland , no matter what season you are enticed with what they have to offer!!!

Black Shed is a must! I am so happy to recommend this place ... it is off of 519 in Kingwood, NJ. The farm has a beautiful retail store with elegant home goods, but also live plants. I love the showroom- it has a relaxing vibe and every nook is designed to inspire. The best part ... they have a bar! You can sip wine or drink beers by outdoor fire pits or sit at small cafe tables. I imagine as nicer weather approaches the outside garden and garden center will be additional areas of inspiration and gorgeousness!

Black Shed is a little oasis in Stockton, NJ. The staff is almost always the same and each visit they are so helpful and kind. I find it important to note that I have never felt pushed to make purchases here but solely educated on the plants I have or was interested in buying. Each time I visit, Black Shed has new products and new plants (and usually a sale!!). I've purchased pots, plants, serve-ware and vases from them and each one are so unique. I could not recommend Black Shed enough!

Local store with unique offerings often provide a special touch that online retailers can't match.

Wow!! What an incredible experience from shopping to landscape is AMAZING!! It's a cross between a urban outfitters meets crate and barrel and pottery barn COMBINED! Plus, a GEORGOUS outside landscape area to walk threw and enjoy! The wine is made fresh every Saturday! Free parking and Free Goats to see!

Bottom line is this is a wonderful place and you should go. The guys have done a fabulous job or creating a beautiful, welcoming environment. We only wish they had more events there! The shop and garden center are expensive, but for an occasional splurge they have beautiful things. One twang, if you're shopping in the garden center and don't have much knowledge or plants, you might be better served at a nursery. I bought two beautiful potted Spanish (??) lavender plants from them for $$$$, only to realize several weeks later when they died that the pots had no holes in them..........something only appropriate for decorative annuals. So the knowledge there may not match up to the beautiful space they've created. Nonetheless, a fabulous stop in Stockton.

I have been to this shop several times, and purchased items that I currently still have, I purchased items a few days ago, faux stems and a cloche. These items are not inexpensive. I tried to make the stems work, but just not what I needed. I read the receipt, and it states that "Due to the nature of our unique and limited products, all sales are final". OK my bad for not looking at that before I purchased, I called just to see if they would work with me, but no. Firm no. Here is a bit of advise for a small business trying to survive in the current economic conditions, offer me to come in and with my items make something work, maybe you might get an additional sale out of it. Maybe since you will be offering discounts this weekend, you offer that to me on my purchases. PS: The unique cloche is online for $48.00 you charged me $69.00, quite an up charge. Not so unique.......

What an inspiring, relaxing, creative joyful environment. It must be experienced to be truly understood and appreciated. A mix of restful seating areas among beautiful plants and flowers supported by a wonderful bar and additional coffee/snack area. I can't wait to visit for the holidays.....I can only imagine.

i almost dont wanna review this place cuz it is so gorgeous that i kinda wanna keep it as my secret BUT i will tell you all about it : its a hidden gem in hunterdon county. the staff are are super friendly and helpful. the vibe is classy and tasteful but also relaxed and cool. they have a speakeasy where you can get interesting drinks (also virgin cocktails too) and on the weekends they have food trucks so you can just settle in outside for a few minutes and grab a bite in between shopping. oh also - BEAUTIFUL PLANTS ! and interesting unique home goods that you wont find anywhere else. its an awesome place to go on an early date or just if you wanna spend some time alone doing a much needed recharge. i love black shed.

AMAZING. It's as if anthropology and a plant nursery had a baby and then served drinks and snacks. Ethereal and beautifully curated with indoor plants I couldn't find anywhere else locally. Cafe and bar with ample outdoor seating and looks like there will be warm-weather markets. Will go back again as soon as possible! Farm animals to look at, and outdoor space to roam a huge bonus for kids.

My wife and I came here with some family friends expecting wine and some plants. We certainly found that but also left with so many home goods and an obsession with this place. The curated selection of home ware, plants and wine really make this a place you can spend your day...and all your money. What a gem!

Remarkable hidden gem in Hunterdon County. Beautiful and healthy indoor and outdoor plants of many varieties at remarkable prices. Super-friendly, knowledgeable, and extra-helpful team. Wide assortment of reasonably priced gifts from many local sources. The baked goods and sandwiches are worth the trip, as are the bar offerings. Highly recommend scones - both savory and sweet - particularly bleu cheese, and pear ginger - and double espresso! Explore the landscapes, admire, purchase, and dine. Delightful! Thank you!

Such a magical place. The bar and outdoor patio with fire pits are just so enchanting. Inside is where all the magic begins with the most beautiful gifts one can find. I can't wait to take my daughter here. Simply magical.
