Black Sheep Barber Shop Budapest

I was recommended here by my Hungarian friend who comes here as a regular. He specifically recommended Imi and I went with Imi as well. I was, unfortunately, late to my appointment by 15min. But the receptionist kindly changed my appointment slot and I was able to still get a haircut right away. Imi spoke great English and perfectly understood exactly what kind of haircut I wanted. This was my first appointment with him and he gave me the exact haircut I asked for with just one try in 25min. I didn’t have to point out anything. Both Imi and the receptionist were very polite and it was a pleasant experience. I’d definitely come back for another one if I ever come back to Budapest. Highly recommended.

I visited Black Sheep for the first time and booked an appointment with Hudák. He was very professional, friendly, and a very confident barber. I have a problem with a receding hairline and was looking to try a new haircut to make it look less visible. Hudák gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Asked for a machine cut and just ushered me to some guy who was more focused on playing music on tv than cutting my hair Hair line is un-even and then tells me I got more expensive version and charges me. I am glad some people got good experience but I can see why some people wrote 1 star. If you are new customer, dont bother. To managers, don’t just say you feel unfortunate for my terrible experience, train that new guy who never held a scissor before in his life.

I visited this barber shop as a tourist and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences of my trip. I booked the more expensive “senior barber” option, expecting a professional haircut in Budapest. Sadly, it was far from that. While the location and facilities are nice, that’s where the positives end. The reference picture I provided was completely ignored, and the final result looked nothing like what I asked for. I specifically requested not to touch my curls — the barber said “yes, yes” but then proceeded to cut everything off. To make matters worse, he applied products in an attempt to “fix” the mistake, which only made it look worse. Even aside from that, the haircut itself was uneven and asymmetrical, which is unacceptable at this price point. The beard trim was average, nothing more. Overall, this shop is unprofessional and overpriced. I strongly recommend avoiding it if you’re looking for a reliable haircut in Budapest.

The service at such a well-reviewed barbershop surprised me in a rather negative way. My barber did not speak any English which is a big minus in a city like Budapest. The language barrier was then reflected in the quality of the haircut. At the same time, I would have expected my request for a haircut to be adequately reviewed and adapted by the barber on the basis of his experience, since I do not know the exact terms, even though I tried to at least indicate to the barber what I require from him. I was also very struck by the environment inside the barbershop - almost the whole floor covered with hair of strangers and the working tools were also neglected. Paying 20€ for a 15 minute haircut, which normally takes at least 30 minutes, without quality is a big splurge.

I'm sorry but I'm paying 30 euros for a complete haircut and I have to correct the barber because the cut was uneven. Expect no attention to details my beard was nearly touched it's like they do the bare minimum. An scam it is, don't go.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Black Sheep Barbers for 6 years, but sadly, the quality has dropped significantly. I asked for a simple trim on the sides, and the barber cut it far too short—beyond repair until it grows back. No hair wash was offered, no apology, and no effort to ensure I left satisfied, which used to be their standard. The premium pricing no longer matches the service. What was once a reliable and customer-focused shop now feels rushed and careless. Disappointed to say I won’t be returning unless they seriously rethink their approach to quality and customer care.

Didnt have to wait. I came in and got my hair cut right away. Nice staff even offered me a free Beer. 10/10 haircut 10/10 Service 👌🏼
