Black Sheep Farm Guesthouse

I arrived at this oasis and immediately felt at home and relaxed. I enjoyed meditation in the sun each morning, walks around the property and area and exploring the gardens. The swimming pool was a pleasant surprise and accommodation was like a boutique hotel. With a variety scattered all over the property so you met different people each day. ||It is within driving distance was a variety of beautiful water holes, amazing food options that Jagad recommended and the markets. Jagad was never too busy to share the properties history. Highly recommend it for a retreat or family get together. Or just time out from busy life. 😀

What a magical place to stay. Jagad is a wonderful host and picked up our friend in the evening to bring her to the cottage to save us the trip into town. The cottage is set amongst the beautiful rainforest of Nimbin with a short drive into the village. The tree frogs surrounding the pool each night were great to hear and see.The only sound is the running stream. What a wonderful getaway and already planning a weekend in winter.

Gorgeous hand built guest house tucked away in the Nimbin woods. Host Mac and family have created a lovely location for peace, tranquility and reflection. The house is fragrant with hand made essential oils. It's got an inviting outdoor pool and sauna, too. Right off your front porch you can see flora and fauna galore. It's not far from Hippie town Nimbin. Felt like I was going through 70's magazines. Mac does beautiful pottery that decorated the land. It would have been better had a breakfast been included. Great place though!

The location is magical, peaceful and relaxing. Situated just about 6 km's from Nimbin town centre in the hills at the base of rainforest next to running stream...but you feel a million miles away from civilisation. The setting is idyllic, and the accommodation very comfortable surrounded with fruit trees, mountain streams, flora and fauna.||||The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and pleasing to the eye. There's a big verandah out the front to enjoy the plants and wildlife. The only sounds are bird song. ||||The Finnish sauna and dip in the big pool is a perfect way to relax. BBQ and a beautiful outlook, this is a unique and wonderful place to stay and return to.||||The host-Mac is very friendly, pleasant and helpful. All the crockery is handmade by Mac which adds a warm touch to your meals. They also have some nice pottery for sale there.||||The loving attention to details and the the stunning and lucious rainforest sourroundings, the crystal clear creek and the abundant wildlife.||||If you are looking for a retreat from a busy life, some quiet and peace and even healing, the Black Sheep Farm is for you!

Down a winding track there lies paradise. A beautiful cottage equipt with all you need to relax. Beautiful home made pottery to use during your stay and a welcoming oil burner with your favourite scent on arrival. The Finnish sauna and dip in the pool is a perfect way to relax. The family are lovely and very helpful. What a treat to find such a lovely place. Thank you to the Black Sheep Farm family for a quick but enjoyable stay.

This place was very dirty when we arrived. Cobwebs everywhere, the pool full of leaves, dead insects all over the place. Besides the cockroaches you might expect in the middle of the rainforest you will also have the bigger wildlife not only at your doorstep. ||I don't consider this a safe place for children.

this place was really nice don’t get me wrong i was lead to believe it was a private house on 30 acres to ourselves. It is less than 20 metres away from other people living on the community. We weren’t informed about the pool being out of order until after we payed and booked, The tv wasn’t set up nor there is no internet available for guest to connect. We had trouble with the Water pressure meaning there wasn’t anything coming out of the shower other than a drizzle of water. there was no specification about kitchen appliances , there was no oven which would’ve been nice to know as we brought 2 main meals that could only be cooked in the oven it was extremely nice just wasn’t what i was looking for, for $300 a night, for my partner and I’s anniversary.

Mac and his family created a great place out in the bush near nimbin. He worked on his dream for 34 years and it has it all, lots of self build building , vegie garden a pool ,a sauna and even a pottery! If you thinking of going "alternative" check this out but even if you just want a holiday "away from it all". great for kids as well . A real gem....
