"A former banker turned glamping resort owner and operator, Nabil Saweeres set out to create a special place where friends, families, and solo travelers could get the ultimate camping experience. After years of planning, he opened up Black Tree Resort in Lake George in June 2019. After making the two-hour drive from Denver, you’ll be greeted by Saweeres himself at check-in, along with your very own golf cart (your main mode of transportation around the 80-acre property). Each tent has been carefully designed with sustainability and comfort in mind: the lighting is solar power, and wood-burning stoves supply heat. While you get settled at your tent and kick your feet up on the porch with a glass of wine, Saweeres is personally cooking dinner. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and non-alcoholic drinks are included in your stay.) At your desired dinner delivery time, the Black Tree staff will set up the meal in-tent. Afterwards, cozy up in an Adirondack chair by the firepit and roast a s’more or two. The beauty here is being off the grid: There is no cell reception and no wifi in the tents. You fall asleep to the sounds of the wind and wake up to the light of the sun pouring into your tent. During the day, the resort offers a wonderfully curated activity menu that includes horseback riding, fishing, guided hiking, and ATV rides through the forest." - Brooke Ely Danielson

Black Tree does it right. Nabil, who I believe is the owner, checked us in and helped us get our bags to our tent. The tents themselves are very comfortable and feel very luxurious. The property itself is nestled in a beautiful area with stunning views. All of our meals were delivered right on time and were delicious. We really enjoyed the fire pit & hammocks on our lot, and riding around in the golf carts added a fun extra touch. The bathrooms were very clean and nice, and all the staff were very kind, responsive, and professional. We will be coming back to Black Tree, a great experience all around.

We had the pleasure of spending 2 special nights at Blacktree Resort 2 weeks ago. From the very first email exchange a year ago to checkout, the experience was incredible. We stayed in #18, near the top of the hill and it had sweeping views of the local mountains. Nabil, the founder and owner, was there to check us in, give us the lay of the land and ensure everything we needed was taken care of. Dan took care of delivering food and drinks each day and was super helpful and accommodating. Our daughter has food allergies, and they were extremely mindful of helping us around these issues...and the food was GREAT..and lots of it! I will say that it 100% exceeded our expectations. We loved having the bathhouse room assigned to us so that we could leave toiletries there the entire stay. The cabin was spacious and cozy for the 3 of us with nice warm wool blankets and super comfortable beds. The stars at night....wow! Truly the Milky Way! Everything was so perfect and we'll remember this trip for years to come! Thanks Nabil and team!

Absolutely loved our experience at Black Tree Resort! The staff are so friendly and accommodating - and they think of everything! Can't say enough about the beautifully appointed tent and delicious food (delivered right to your door). Loved having our own private bathroom (towels, bath products and hair dryer included), as well as our own golf cart to get around the resort. During our stay we enjoyed an in-tent massage, visited Eleven Mile State Park (10-minute drive) and the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center (30-minute drive). If you're curious about glamping, definitely give Black Tree Resort a try!

We (family of 4 including 2 teens) traveled to Colorado in July from Raleigh, NC and I am so glad I came across Black Tree Resort in searching for great places to stay during our trip. The tents are perfect, grounds are beautiful and the customer service exceeded our expectations. All of the staff were so kind and helpful. The food was amazing (and plentiful). We loved exploring the property and enjoyed the board games we were able borrow from the office. Eleven Mile State Park was nearby and a wonderful park to visit- the views were fantastic! I would highly recommend BTR!

We had an amazing stay at Black Tree! The owner and staff were lovely and incredibly helpful, the grounds were peaceful and quiet, and the food was fantastic. This was a great way to experience camping with little kiddos, as we had more time to focus on spending time together as a family instead of cooking and setting up/maintaining our camp site. We highly recommend Black Tree and will be back next year!

Our stay was spectacular. The view from every angle was amazing. The huge tent is spacious and comfortable. They are kind to dogs and the space was large enough to accommodate two Airedales and two humans easily. The food was amazing, thank you Nabil. Nabil, Dave and Dan were welcoming and accommodating. It was very simple to start a fire in the tent stove to keep warm as well as the outside firepit, everything you needed was at your fingertips. A large cooler of water is set on your tent porch, nice! The spaces are set quite far from each other for maximum privacy. The restroom has flush toilets, and running water with soap to wash up near the tent, but also not far away is your own private bathroom equipped with a shower, toiletries, towels, sink, hair dryer, and flush toilet. We have done a lot of camping and while this felt like camping, we not did not have to prep gear, cook, clean or feel dirty. Oh, and the golf cart is fun. A family of deer was on the property that we saw everyday. I can't wait to go back, and would just for dinner if Nabil served meals to noncampers. Thank you all at Black Tree Resort for a wonderful getaway.

Black Tree Resort was amazing. Our favorite part was the wood fire stove in the tent. It kept us so warm all night and in the morning we had breakfast in the tent because it was so so warm. The service - 10/10, the people 10/10. Fantastic location and great views.

My wife and I had the best time at Black Tree Resort! The food and service was AMAZING!! Very friendly and accommodating. We had everything we needed and prepped before we arrived, like fire wood and pine needles already in our fireplace ready to just light and enjoy. I grew up camping and I loved this as it gives you the same feel as regular camping, but the luxury of not having to prep anything, ordering a night cap old fashion while sitting by the fire, and then having a super comfy mattress to sleep on when tucking in for the night! All in all perfect getaway into the mountains! Definitely recommend and will be back.
