Blackbird Vineyards

I was very disappointed with Blackbird. Scheduled a wine tasting in advance and showed up to a locked facility (back in November 24) and management at that time said they would rectify and didn't. However, they recently changed their GM and have turned their customer service around. I've recently received and tasted some of their wine and its delicious! Worth tasting.

Aaron was amazing and showed us around the cellar. Such balanced well made wines. Great farming makes great grapes, which evolve into elegant aromatic greatness in the glass! I'm a big fan.

Our visit to Blackbird Vineyards was nothing short of extraordinary. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the owner, John, and his wonderful family for creating such an enchanting place. The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty of the property and the warmth of the welcome we received. Special thanks to Jeff for hosting us and guiding us through the tasting experience. Jeff's knowledge of wine and Napa Valley is unparalleled. His insights and words of wisdom added so much depth to our visit, making it not just a tasting, but an educational journey through the art of wine. The wines at Blackbird Vineyards are simply fantastic—complex, lovely, and reflective of the passion and expertise that go into their creation. This is a must-stop if you're visiting Napa!

My family and I biked from a local resort into town to explore. I get that a reservation was required, and I have given other places that had reservations required five stars because of their staff in the same area, but this place was flat out rude. I walked in to try wines and was informed the following, “I know we’re empty, but I have reservations coming soon and we’re reservations only.” I was fine with this, but when I asked where I can go, as I’m not from this area, the staff was rushing and rude to get me out. She said she couldn’t speak on what else was around and was hesitant to help my family and I locate stuff in the area, because she had “people coming soon.” We were able to unhook our bikes, put on helmets, set ourselves, and bike away, with still NOT ONE customer/reservation to walk in. I took my money elsewhere to the wine thief, sampled there, and spent my $300 easily without hesitation because of their kind staff. I would NEVER come back here simply because of the rushing and rude staff member. I felt like an unvalued, potential customer, and I don’t know why a few simple questions and directions couldn’t be provided. The most I got was to go down the street to the chamber of commerce. Glad I ended up at the wine thief. Try them out if you want friendly staff!

Melissa was absolutely amazing in working with me to plan a virtual wine tasting for my clients in such short timelines. Not only did we not have any issues with shipping or delivery all the way to the East Coast but the interactive wine tasting received rave reviews. From the nuggets of information, it's clear that Blackbird puts a lot of thought their products from the wines to the artwork on the bottle itself. I would 100% work with Blackbird again for any future events for my clients.

This is an amazing tasting room. It’s also in a great location. The staff are friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable. The wine is equally amazing. My favorite is the rosé, Arriviste. You will not be disappointed. We went there for a girls day, and had such a great time!

My team did a virtual wine tasting with Blackbird Vineyards. While it is not the same experience, they did a great job of porting over the off-line experience onto online. The explanation of history of wineries, recommendations that goes beyond their own line ups (other Napa wineries, other parts of U.S. that produce great wines, other countries that produce quality wines, etc).

We had a lovely experience. They were able to accommodate us a group of 10 with very short notice. Their picturesque setting on the river is perfect for a date.

Ordered wine from these guys. They sent me little bitty bottles of wine and would not except them back nor give me any credit towards regular 750 mL bottles of wine. On top of that the wine was off. Did not taste anything like the wine that I got at a restaurant

This was my first time in Napa since I turned 21 last year, and starting off at this winery was probably the best decision. My family and I came on a Saturday afternoon per the recommendation of the owners, who we met at a Tesla event. We didn't go to the vineyard itself, but the tasting room that they have in downtown Napa right along the river . We were greeted kindly and decided to settle on three tastings. My mind was blown by actually liking Rosè, a drink I usually am not a fan of! We started off with two white wines, followed by three various red blends, one of which we took a bottle home. They also have a neat membership program that is essentially of no cost per year as long as you buy a bottle a year (I believe there's some price minimum depending on the bottle). This also includes free tasting all year round for up to 6 people at a time. The wines were explained to us in great detail, and the guy explaining it to us (I wish I remembered his name, but he was great) entertained all our various questions as we are wine novices. Highly highly recommend !

Wine is FANTASTIC. My favorite is the paramour (cab franc dominant) - 2010, 2012, 2013 -- all winners. My significant other's favorite is the Illustration. The wine tastings in the downtown location are always lovely -- everyone is very kind and very knowledgeable. Their white and rose wines are delicious as well -- May I suggest frose with their rose? Perfect for a summer afternoon. Their membership services are fantastic as well!

Metal Art In The Blackbird Vineyards Field Exhibition Area SITREP I stopped by recently in the City of Napa to take in the very cool metal artwork in the Blackbird Vineyards Field Exhibition right off Oak Knoll Avenue. [Note: whereas the Storefront sales office is located in Yountville, this part of the vineyard borders on the City of Napa, hence the apparent discrepancy with this location address.] THE SETUP The large metal art includes: (1) a giant key, (2) a just-as-giant keyhole, (3) a giant segment of chain-link, and, (4) a giant metal gear! As I was explaining my docent, I found the choice of items - and the metal - to make this a very creative exhibition in the Spirit of Steampunking! METAL ART-SCULPTURE EXPRESSION! This is just some very fun artwork and a very creative use of vineyard space where as explained to me that the soil is just too fallow and workable and perhaps a bit too close to the roadaway. THE LOWDOWN A stop to view some pretty amazing metal art-sculptures.

Blackbird Vineyards in St. Helena, California are cult Pomerol-inspired new world wine producers that give French Merlots a run for their money. A ten-acre estate that has been producing wines since 1995 in the Oak Knoll District AVA of Napa California. Now a partnering member of the Bespoke Family of wines, with the Blackbird wines available in the Ma(i)sonry tasting room by appointment only. Lori was amazing! With this being my girlfriend and I first wine tasting she made it special. She told us relatable stories and engaged with us throughout while landing time for us to converse and get comfortable. Highly recommend!

The wine at Blackbird is truly exceptional. We had the shortened flight and each wine was incredible. We had three tastings that day and this was the best. The vibe in this area was kind of odd and some of the people boarded on snobby. The space was also tricky to find. However the quality of the wine means we'd come back.

Beautiful art set the perfect backdrop for our tasting. The wine was wonderful and our tasting attendant was incredibly knowledgeable, walking us through the tasting to truly enhance the experience. Highly recommend!!

The wines are exceptional and the staff truly amazing. Melissa was fantastic! We enjoyed tasting outside while looking at the river. There is also a collaboration with artist that Blackbird features inside the tasting room. I highly recommend stopping by to enjoy wine, art and view.

Blackbird has several vineyard label names: Ma(i)onry, Restoration Hardware which is now going to be called RH gallery, and they have an Argentinian brand that is amazing. Jonathon was a great ambassador for Blackbird. Their price point may not be for everyone but their wines are phenomenal! It is by appointment only. It is worth your time & money.

I've been dealing with Sam with my wine order and they have been so patient and quick! I appreciate their kindness and for putting up with my many questions! Can't wait to receive my Foo Fighters Wine
