Dinner date with my 🧸🏴 the Black Fire Fuego Nero, Canberra’s esteemed Mediterranean cuisine restaurant, boasting multiple best European restaurant awards for several years.
We selected the chef’s seafood menu, expertly prepared through open fire roasting, wood fire oven cooking, and charcoal grilling.
We commenced with half a dozen NSW rock oysters, naturally served with fresh lemon, followed by their signature Tapas: pan-tossed scallops with leek purée and Romesco sauce; Piquillo baby peppers stuffed with crab and prawn; and Carpentaria king prawns, split and served with crispy croutons. Subsequently, we indulged in their seafood paella.
The restaurant graciously accommodated our requests, substituting our cocktails with two lychee martinis and replacing our rocket pear salad with an Affogato of the house, comprising espresso, vanilla gelato, and liquor, accompanied by almonds and orange cake with salted caramel and a scoop of gelato.
We awarded them 5 stars for their exceptional cuisine, atmosphere, and hospitality, complemented by friendly and accommodating wait staff.
