"An ancient, clear river whose frosted banks and granite-strewn edges offer vivid sensory moments—first frost on the bank, distant campfire smoke, and the crunch of tires or hooves—framed by the Swan Range and a landscape frequented by wolves, bears, mountain lions, lynx, coyotes, elk and moose.
