Edited: Kristy went above beyond to make up for my previous experience. I received a complementary pizza (chicken bacon ranch) the quality and flavor were just out of this world. Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve enjoyed in a very long time. It genuinely exceeded all my expectations. This whole experience has completely flipped my perception. Not only has it fully restored my confidence in Black Hawk Pizza, but you've also absolutely won me over as a loyal customer! I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Black Hawk so I can swing by again. Thank you for the outstanding customer service. I called in a delivery order and was on hold for 30 minutes. Once they finally answered, I placed the order and was told it would be delivered to me in 45 minutes to an hour. Over an hour passes by so I call and was told “your pizza is ready but I forgot to get your address, I am so sorry. We thought you would call back “ why is it my responsibility to call back if I gave them my phone number? They could’ve called me back immediately if they forgot to write down the address that I DID GIVE THEM. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received.

There is literally zero competition in town when it comes to wanting excellent quality pizza. Black Hawk Pizza is by far the best in town in my opinion. Pictures doesn't do it justice. I ordered a large pizzas, 2 cheese, 1 BBQ Chicken, 1 Hawaiian, 1 Chicken Bacon Ranch... and they quoted me 20 minutes... I don't know what sort of wizardy they have working in that kitchen, but it's obviously a recipe/spell for success. The donuts are also pretty killer. Service is top notch, conversation is wholesome, and the pies are delicious.

Beautiful sunny afternoon having fantastic pizza from Black Hawk Pizza. New owners since August with really good, fresh ingredients, thin crust pizza. The green chili slices on my pepperoni mushroom were flavorful with just a little kick. New monthly special is Alfredo. As a CT yankee I compared it favorably to Sally’s Apizza. Owners and crew came out to pet the dogs and enjoy the westerly sun setting. It’ll be a great spot all winter long. Lawn games too. If that didn’t cinch it, there is also rec weed, liquor store and a motel in the little complex. Support local.

The gluten free & supreme pizzas are amazing! The service is friendly, accommodating and truly wants satisfied customers. I keep coming back for more. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and inviting! Pizza was hot and fresh 🍕…snagged some super soft cookies, as well! The price was great. Loved the fact that the pizza was thin on the bottom and the crust was thick enough to satisfy both of our favorites.

Best pizza I’ve had in a very long time!! The cheese veggies and the dough was just so perfect. It practically melted in the mouth. The hosts are so welcoming and they make the whole atmosphere so homely. Tip: having a bad day at black hawk? Visit here!

Group of friends and I decided to make a stop right before hitting up the casinos and we got lucky with both food and winning that night! 12 of us walked in and they helped push tables together for us to all sit. Pizza was delicious and atmosphere was very homey with games and activities to do while we waited. Right as we were finishing the employees walked out with a cinnamon pizza on the house for us to all share which we were so grateful for and tasted AMAZING. If we are ever back in town we will definitely make another stop! #texasgroup

Excellent place! They made us a margarita style pizza with ricotta cheese and an amazing garlic oil base! Really enjoyed it! This was our second time here in 2 days! Unfortunately, nothing left for the picture 🤪

We ordered takeout for delivery -- yes, delivery in Central City! That alone is amazing here in our little mountain town. We tried a gluten-free crust loaded with all the meats and mushrooms, and it was fantastic! I don't know what they do differently, but their gluten-free crust actually tastes amazing -- none of that cardboard texture you usually get with gluten-free pizza. The toppings were generous and perfectly balanced. Truly excellent pizza. We also ordered a regular crust pepperoni and green chili pie -- another total winner! It was cooked perfectly, with a great crust and top-notch ingredients. Loved every bite. The young person who took our order over the phone was super friendly and helpful, and the delivery driver was just as nice -- even braving a bit of snow to bring our food. I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to gluten-free crusts, but the one from Black Hawk Pizza was so good it's almost unbelievable. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. We'll 100% be ordering again!

This is a hidden gem ! It's quirky, small, very personable and the chef knows his stuff ! We tried the calzone and it was perfect The marinara sauce is delicious and prices are very low. I highly recommend it !

I'm enchanted by this pizza spot. I called ahead and learned they could deliver to us. We decided to stop by in person instead. We ordered the Full House Special, and were very content with it. The staff are friendly, and I would definitely come back when we are in the area.

There are several "fairly" new pizza places here in Gilpin County, Colorado... Tracey and I have tried them all... Blackhawk Pizza comes n 1st place! Great little place... the owners were terrific! The pizza ROCKS! BYOB! Loved everything about it!

Excellent! Fresh crust with a perfect crisp! Made just how you want it! Really good tomato sauce and fresh toppings. Sooo good!

I've ordered from Blackhawk Pizza several times in the past and have always found both the pizza and the overall experience to be exceptional. However, this past Friday (May 30), I had a disappointing experience. When I called to place an order for two pizzas and cheesy bread, the first person who answered the phone couldn't hear me well and, unfortunately, responded with rudeness. I hadn't spoken to her before, and the call ended with her hanging up on me. I was eventually able to speak with someone else who was more courteous and helped me place my order. I requested the pizzas to be par-baked, as I've done successfully in the past. However, when I got home and finished baking them, the crust was so thin and flat that it came out more like a cracker than the usual pizza I enjoy from your place. I understand that every business can have an off day, so I'm going to chalk this up to that and give Blackhawk Pizza another try. I've had great experiences in the past, and I hope this was just an isolated incident.

The pizza was SO GOOD and the staff was amazing! I usually don't eat pizza crust but I ate every crumb. The sauce was 10 out of 10 too! Best pizza in Colorado!

I drove 30mins to get here. I got here at 9:30 and was greeted with a "we are closed" why are you closing at 9:30 when your website says 10? When I informed the lady of their website time she was very condescending and rude to me. I will never come back here, I felt so belittled.

Love this place and the people who work there . The pizza is delicious and freshly prepared ,staff are local and friendly . Great value for money and only ten minutes from my house which in the mountains is a rare treat , keep up the good work guys I'll be in regularly

Def a hidden Gem, husband/wife owners were extremely friendly and the pizza was quality!!! Best pizza we've had in a while.

Got the calzone a week ago and it was great - Owner was great to talk to and very friendly. I picked up but was told they will deliver to the hotels also so will take advantage next time.

Love that you can get delivery up here! Calzones were good but slightly al dente and not a ton of flavor. Good and basic for a local eatery in the mountains.

The sauce was unique but they did a good job on their pepp pizza. I believe that's how you can judge a place, if they make the staples consistently then they're doing good. Menu isn't extensive but that's great in my opinion, do what you know you're good at.

Really good pizza, fresh green chilies, and mushrooms, smoked Canadian bacon was awesome.

We just had the best treat of delicious pizza delivered to our door!!! The pizza was delicious with very nice sauce, generous toppings and great crust. We are so grateful to the new owners for the really good pizza and the absolute joy of delivery in Black Hawk!!

Such a great find in this area. Very few places to eat besides the hotels and casinos. The pizza was excellent! We got the 18" House Special. It's made fresh, so takes 20 minutes, but well worth the wait. The lady who owns the business also makes the pizza, and is very friendly. You can also call ahead for dining in or take out. There is an outdoor dining area as well.

Good pizza. Very few options in the area. Blackhawk cam through and provided a descent meal. If ever in the area again I would definitely go back and try another dish.

YES! Go here!! Wow... Just went to three different pizza places and all three were either out, closed, or too busy for takeout. Never heard of this place before today but the woman was very helpful and friendly, and the pizza is FANTASTIC. Making this my go to place.

After walking around the casinos in Black Hawk, my husband and I wanted to actually experience some quality food. The casino restaurants did not look appealing and were overpriced. After extending our search, we found Blackhawk Pizza. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the sweetest cashier. I'm so sad I didn't catch her name. She overheard my husband and I debating on which pizza to get and which toppings. She chimed in either a recommendation we both quickly agreed on. We took a seat to wait for our order, and we could smell the aroma of the food we were eagerly waiting for. Another patreon who had been sitting outside with his family came back in to compliment the food. This made my husband and I so excited, hearing how good the food would be. We had an amazing conversation with the cashier and her husband. We absolutely adored them and their hospitality. The pizza was so good! I wish I took a photo before scarfing it down. Please avoid wasting your money on casino food. This lovely family-ownes business would be somewhere I return to. Not just for the pizza but for the staff. The pizza had the perfect fresh sauce. The toppings were so delicious and the crust had the perfect crunch. NO REGRETS!

The food is very delicious and the staff was very friendly. One of the best places to eat in Blackhawk.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I came in and pre-order half a dozen pizzas. They were prompt and the pizzas were ready for pick up when I requested. Highly recommend stopping in and grabbing some pizza for a reasonable price instead of the buffets and steakhouses at the casinos.

Yummy! Killer cheesy bread, try the calzone! We like to hit the up for quick and reasonably priced takeout.

Great Pizza. Super Fresh and the service was great. The pesto and peach desert was fabulous.

Shit is some fire pizza and calzones their sauce is amazing. And the service they have is spectacular I would 100% recommend to anyone heading from Denver to the casinos in black hawk to take 6th through the canyon and stop at this brand new pizza shop it's too good to not go try

Absolutely the best Pizza in Black Hawk, and imo the best out of anything within 30 miles. In particular I think the sauce is excellent, so many places have a bland / flavorless version, this is good stuff here. Very happy we've a good place to go locally!!!
