Black Hawk Pizza

Absolutely, hands down the best pizza in both gilpin and clearcreek county's! Not many pizzas I haven't tried in those county's. You walk in to a work in progress (they opened 3 weeks ago) to a very nice lady. Easy ordering and menu comprehension! Normal 15 min wait for the fresh pie. We went with a med pep. the pizza was incredible! Sauce had that tangy hit inside and out that you know it means business! Crispy crunch dough but still so soft and chewy. Cheese i hear is being changed soon. I Got to meet the owner and what seemed like the whole family. Great people! This is the kind of pizza spot not only the county has been missing but the kind of place colorado needed!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly service that instantly made me feel welcome. I ordered the pesto chicken pizza—and wow. Absolutely sensational. The crust was perfectly crisp, the pesto rich and flavorful without overpowering, and the chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned. Every bite felt thoughtfully crafted, and I couldn’t stop smiling with each slice. It’s rare to find a place that nails both flavor and hospitality, but Blackhawk Pizza does it effortlessly. I’m definitely coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and good vibes. A true gem!

Best pizza I’ve had in a very long time!! The cheese veggies and the dough was just so perfect. It practically melted in the mouth. The hosts are so welcoming and they make the whole atmosphere so homely. Tip: having a bad day at black hawk? Visit here!

New owners are awesome. Great pizza the large is huge. Great value. Locally owned super friendly. Great little place to get some good food. Recommend it for sure.

After an afternoon of hiking with 2 children, we decided to stop for pizza before the hour long ride home to Centennial. I called in my order ahead so the pizza would be ready for the hungry children (and adults), but my call dropped in the canyons when I lost the cell signal. A few minutes later they texted me back to confirm my order and let me know the pizza would be ready in 30 minutes! 10/10 for customer service. Then they greeted us when we arrived with coloring activity sheets for the kids, full size jenga, and bean bag toss on the patio with a beautiful view of the mountains, moon, and starts. Another 10/10 for the atmosphere. Then the pizza arrived and they were fresh, exactly what we ordered, and delicious. 10/10 for food. I highly recommend a stop at Black Hawk Pizza if you’re in the area.

The friendliest pizza joint around. We stopped in to pick up pizza and the staff was so friendly. They went above and beyond to make our grandson’s birthday special. We will definitely be giving them our business. The pizza…delicious!

We just had the best treat of delicious pizza delivered to our door!!! The pizza was delicious with very nice sauce, generous toppings and great crust. We are so grateful to the new owners for the really good pizza and the absolute joy of delivery in Black Hawk!!

I've ordered from Blackhawk Pizza several times in the past and have always found both the pizza and the overall experience to be exceptional. However, this past Friday (May 30), I had a disappointing experience. When I called to place an order for two pizzas and cheesy bread, the first person who answered the phone couldn't hear me well and, unfortunately, responded with rudeness. I hadn't spoken to her before, and the call ended with her hanging up on me. I was eventually able to speak with someone else who was more courteous and helped me place my order. I requested the pizzas to be par-baked, as I've done successfully in the past. However, when I got home and finished baking them, the crust was so thin and flat that it came out more like a cracker than the usual pizza I enjoy from your place. I understand that every business can have an off day, so I'm going to chalk this up to that and give Blackhawk Pizza another try. I've had great experiences in the past, and I hope this was just an isolated incident.

Excellent! Fresh crust with a perfect crisp! Made just how you want it! Really good tomato sauce and fresh toppings. Sooo good!

Whatcha know about that Black Hawk Pizza now! Let's go! Called in an order for take out. The lady that answered the phone was super helpful and went over their menu with me and I decided on the House Special pizza and added green chilies. I pulled up just as it was coming out of the oven so it was hot and ready to go. Excellent pie! The toppings were great but the crust was money! The place was nice and clean with indoor and outdoor seating. I really enjoyed this pizza experience and will definitely get food from Black Hawk Pizza again.

Got the calzone a week ago and it was great - Owner was great to talk to and very friendly. I picked up but was told they will deliver to the hotels also so will take advantage next time.

Love that you can get delivery up here! Calzones were good but slightly al dente and not a ton of flavor. Good and basic for a local eatery in the mountains.

The sauce was unique but they did a good job on their pepp pizza. I believe that's how you can judge a place, if they make the staples consistently then they're doing good. Menu isn't extensive but that's great in my opinion, do what you know you're good at.

Tried to stop here on a Tuesday night after a bike ride at 7 PM and they were closed. Come on guys, we were excited for pizza and beer

Such a great find in this area. Very few places to eat besides the hotels and casinos. The pizza was excellent! We got the 18" House Special. It's made fresh, so takes 20 minutes, but well worth the wait. The lady who owns the business also makes the pizza, and is very friendly. You can also call ahead for dining in or take out. There is an outdoor dining area as well.

Good pizza. Very few options in the area. Blackhawk cam through and provided a descent meal. If ever in the area again I would definitely go back and try another dish.

YES! Go here!! Wow... Just went to three different pizza places and all three were either out, closed, or too busy for takeout. Never heard of this place before today but the woman was very helpful and friendly, and the pizza is FANTASTIC. Making this my go to place.

After walking around the casinos in Black Hawk, my husband and I wanted to actually experience some quality food. The casino restaurants did not look appealing and were overpriced. After extending our search, we found Blackhawk Pizza. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the sweetest cashier. I'm so sad I didn't catch her name. She overheard my husband and I debating on which pizza to get and which toppings. She chimed in either a recommendation we both quickly agreed on. We took a seat to wait for our order, and we could smell the aroma of the food we were eagerly waiting for. Another patreon who had been sitting outside with his family came back in to compliment the food. This made my husband and I so excited, hearing how good the food would be. We had an amazing conversation with the cashier and her husband. We absolutely adored them and their hospitality. The pizza was so good! I wish I took a photo before scarfing it down. Please avoid wasting your money on casino food. This lovely family-ownes business would be somewhere I return to. Not just for the pizza but for the staff. The pizza had the perfect fresh sauce. The toppings were so delicious and the crust had the perfect crunch. NO REGRETS!

Really good pizza, fresh green chilies, and mushrooms, smoked Canadian bacon was awesome.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I came in and pre-order half a dozen pizzas. They were prompt and the pizzas were ready for pick up when I requested. Highly recommend stopping in and grabbing some pizza for a reasonable price instead of the buffets and steakhouses at the casinos.

Yummy! Killer cheesy bread, try the calzone! We like to hit the up for quick and reasonably priced takeout.

Great Pizza. Super Fresh and the service was great. The pesto and peach desert was fabulous.
