Black Hawk Pizza

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly service that instantly made me feel welcome. I ordered the pesto chicken pizza—and wow. Absolutely sensational. The crust was perfectly crisp, the pesto rich and flavorful without overpowering, and the chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned. Every bite felt thoughtfully crafted, and I couldn’t stop smiling with each slice. It’s rare to find a place that nails both flavor and hospitality, but Blackhawk Pizza does it effortlessly. I’m definitely coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and good vibes. A true gem!

If i could give more stars I would first time having pizza from here and I am not disappointed in the slightest got a house special and garlic cheese bread and omg it’s amazing from the fresh veggies on top all the way to the crust is amazing that dough is so good cooked to perfection nice and crispy I’m not a huge pizza lover but this pizza can make me a huge pizza lover 10/10 highly highly recommend thank you for an amazing dinner tonight

We were leaving Hidee Gold Mine Tours in central City and i-70 was backed up so we decided to come down the canyon and try the new pizza place on the way. We caught the owner Mike flipping pizzas and had a great time talking with him over a pie. We got the house special and had some extra to take home to see if it passed my ultimate test, is it good the next day? That's where good ingredients show through, anyone can make one taste good right out of the oven but how does it handle a reheat? The pizza was great again the next day as well for a tasty quick lunch! We will definitely make this a regular stop when we go down 119 and congratulations Blackhawk pizza, Mike and family!

I’ve gotten carryout pizzas on several occasions and I’m fairly picky about quality. These pies are a great value for the high quality! I love the generous toppings evenly spaced, so each bit gets a bit of everything in a good proportion. I made pizzas for 3-5 years in my 20’s, and I’m proud of my quality, these easily match my best!

We ordered pickup. There were two people working. A real young kid and who i assume is his mom. They were bith very polite and appreciative for the business. We got the 14 inch pepperoni and garlic cheese bread. Both were cooked perfectly.

10/10 recommend Blackhawk Pizza! The pizza was AMAZING and the service was even better! If we ever travel this way from STL again, we will be stopping. Best of wishes to the new owners!

Got two pizzas from here. We ordered a cheese and veggie pizza. They were made fresh. Both tasted amazing. The crust was perfect. The staff was kind and friendly. The place was clean. They saved our day when we weren’t able to find anything to dine either coz it was packed or closed. We are so glad we tried this coz it was amazing.

Very cute establishment with very friendly staff. The only issue I had was with the pizza I had. I found the sauce to taste like it came from a can, and the pizza overall lacked flavor. Adding salt helped. But for the price tag, I was expecting something a little bit more. Pizza rating out of 10 I’d give it a 4.

I've ordered from Blackhawk Pizza several times in the past and have always found both the pizza and the overall experience to be exceptional. However, this past Friday (May 30), I had a disappointing experience. When I called to place an order for two pizzas and cheesy bread, the first person who answered the phone couldn't hear me well and, unfortunately, responded with rudeness. I hadn't spoken to her before, and the call ended with her hanging up on me. I was eventually able to speak with someone else who was more courteous and helped me place my order. I requested the pizzas to be par-baked, as I've done successfully in the past. However, when I got home and finished baking them, the crust was so thin and flat that it came out more like a cracker than the usual pizza I enjoy from your place. I understand that every business can have an off day, so I'm going to chalk this up to that and give Blackhawk Pizza another try. I've had great experiences in the past, and I hope this was just an isolated incident.

Excellent! Fresh crust with a perfect crisp! Made just how you want it! Really good tomato sauce and fresh toppings. Sooo good!

Got the calzone a week ago and it was great - Owner was great to talk to and very friendly. I picked up but was told they will deliver to the hotels also so will take advantage next time.

Whatcha know about that Black Hawk Pizza now! Let's go! Called in an order for take out. The lady that answered the phone was super helpful and went over their menu with me and I decided on the House Special pizza and added green chilies. I pulled up just as it was coming out of the oven so it was hot and ready to go. Excellent pie! The toppings were great but the crust was money! The place was nice and clean with indoor and outdoor seating. I really enjoyed this pizza experience and will definitely get food from Black Hawk Pizza again.

Love that you can get delivery up here! Calzones were good but slightly al dente and not a ton of flavor. Good and basic for a local eatery in the mountains.

The sauce was unique but they did a good job on their pepp pizza. I believe that's how you can judge a place, if they make the staples consistently then they're doing good. Menu isn't extensive but that's great in my opinion, do what you know you're good at.

Tried to stop here on a Tuesday night after a bike ride at 7 PM and they were closed. Come on guys, we were excited for pizza and beer

Such a great find in this area. Very few places to eat besides the hotels and casinos. The pizza was excellent! We got the 18" House Special. It's made fresh, so takes 20 minutes, but well worth the wait. The lady who owns the business also makes the pizza, and is very friendly. You can also call ahead for dining in or take out. There is an outdoor dining area as well.

Good pizza. Very few options in the area. Blackhawk cam through and provided a descent meal. If ever in the area again I would definitely go back and try another dish.

YES! Go here!! Wow... Just went to three different pizza places and all three were either out, closed, or too busy for takeout. Never heard of this place before today but the woman was very helpful and friendly, and the pizza is FANTASTIC. Making this my go to place.

After walking around the casinos in Black Hawk, my husband and I wanted to actually experience some quality food. The casino restaurants did not look appealing and were overpriced. After extending our search, we found Blackhawk Pizza. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the sweetest cashier. I'm so sad I didn't catch her name. She overheard my husband and I debating on which pizza to get and which toppings. She chimed in either a recommendation we both quickly agreed on. We took a seat to wait for our order, and we could smell the aroma of the food we were eagerly waiting for. Another patreon who had been sitting outside with his family came back in to compliment the food. This made my husband and I so excited, hearing how good the food would be. We had an amazing conversation with the cashier and her husband. We absolutely adored them and their hospitality. The pizza was so good! I wish I took a photo before scarfing it down. Please avoid wasting your money on casino food. This lovely family-ownes business would be somewhere I return to. Not just for the pizza but for the staff. The pizza had the perfect fresh sauce. The toppings were so delicious and the crust had the perfect crunch. NO REGRETS!

The food is very delicious and the staff was very friendly. One of the best places to eat in Blackhawk.

Really good pizza, fresh green chilies, and mushrooms, smoked Canadian bacon was awesome.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I came in and pre-order half a dozen pizzas. They were prompt and the pizzas were ready for pick up when I requested. Highly recommend stopping in and grabbing some pizza for a reasonable price instead of the buffets and steakhouses at the casinos.

Yummy! Killer cheesy bread, try the calzone! We like to hit the up for quick and reasonably priced takeout.

Great Pizza. Super Fresh and the service was great. The pesto and peach desert was fabulous.
