This is a cozy and welcoming spot with fantastic food and drinks. Everything we ordered was delicious! The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, the caprese salad was super fresh, and the grilled cheese panini hit the spot. The sweet potato fries were crisp and flavorful too. Their happy hour deals are excellent, with great prices on both drinks and bites. The beer selection is solid, and their cocktails are well-crafted and balanced. It’s the kind of place where you can have a perfect date night, enjoy good food, and sip on something tasty while enjoying the sunset. Highly recommend checking it out, we’ll definitely be back!

We stopped into Black Sheep for happy hour and it was such a good call. Great pricing on beer and a chill atmosphere to go with it. I tried their smoked old fashioned and it was smooth, balanced, and just the right amount of smoky. I finished with the affogato and it was the perfect sweet ending. Really solid spot in Chandler for drinks, good vibes, and a relaxed afternoon break with the husband. I’d definitely go back.

I feel like BlackSheep has really fallen off. The service is mediocre at best — the staff is not attentive and borderline unfriendly at times. For a place charging $18+ for a drink, I would personally expect spectacular service. The bar menu is a bunch of sugary juice drinks that are never properly measured. Every drink I’ve had the past several times I’ve been has been disappointing — bad proportions and overly sweet — which is so frustrating when you’re paying so much. I ended up there last night and didn’t want to risk it (again) so I went with a reasonably priced ($7.50?) Dos XX beer. Odd glass though. My husband did decide to go for a Tequila Trouble I think it was called and the pour was awful. Far too sweet and too sour. Even though we were only 1 of 3 couples at the bar our water glasses sat completely empty for 20+ minutes until we had to ask. Employees were completely focused on closing duties (which absolutely throws off the vibe when they’re spraying cleaner and mopping when you’re trying to enjoy a date night). A guy came up to the bar at about 10:15 to order a drink and asked what time they close because they were acting like they were closing up shop for the night. Bartender said 11:30 (even though now I see they’re hours online say midnight so that was interesting). Oh and the bartenders don’t even lay down drink napkins for you anymore, they expect you to get them your self from these dirty napkin holders lining the bar. This place has lost its way, please get someone in here to right the shop so I can come back in the fall to enjoy the beautiful patio!! - A concerned citizen

I came here with a group of friends for the first time recently. We were seated right away and our waitress was so nice. She gave us some recommendations on drinks since we let her know we had already eaten and were just stopping in for a drink or two. I ordered the Berry Buzzed cocktail and it was delicious, tasted just like a sweet raspberry. The atmosphere was slightly elevated, but not too posh, it felt comfortable.

This is a great find. The vibe is so comfortable. The food, although a TAD pricey is VERY good and portions are HUGE. One salad can easily feed 2 people. Drinks were wonderful. Our server, Amy was the absolute BEST. we will be going back. Highly recommend this little Gem!

We had a double date here, and had a wonderful time. The staff was knowledgeable and the atmosphere made for such an enjoyable evening. We were here for happy hour and the value was excellent. It was the best bruschetta I’ve had and the wine was excellent. If we lived here this would be a regular visit for us. If you like wine and a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place for you.

I've been coming here for years and it's always been consistent with service and food. I love their bruschetta so much. The bread is good sized and not hard, and they have such a creative variety of offerings. I'd list a favorite but there are too many! I also love that they have burrata. So few places have it and I can seriously eat an entire ball of cheese on my own. This place does get busy in the evenings - last time I came I arrived at 4:15 and it was slow but by the time I left at 5:30 is was filling up fast. Highly recommend - great place to meet friends and get shareable apps!

I really enjoy this wine bar. It is nestled on the corner of the Chandler downtown mall next to all of the fun bars and cute little shops. This has a great ambience. I love that you can just pop in during the weekday and get a table. In the evening, they have a candlelight and delicious food. I have had their meatballs. I've had their deep fried asparagus. I think it's asparagus. I have had their bottle in board. I've been there for lunch and Bellini's. They have a really really great deal every day of the week lunch you get a huge sandwich with a huge salad for a reasonable price. You can't go wrong at the black sheep. Their prices are really reasonable and the ambience is fantastic. We always have great service here every time. Good job black sheep. See you soon.

Blacksheep is a popular spot in downtown Chandler. Wine, cocktails, and food... Yes please! Came here with some girlfriends for ladies night and we had a blast. I'd like to come back again and try a cocktail, I had wine and bruschetta during this visit. It's a great place for date nights and happy hours, with a relaxed atmosphere. The bar area is very cute so next time I'll aim to sit there and have a cocktail, and try out more offerings from the food menu.

This place is set up super nice. I really enjoyed the high top table we were at. We shared the "Pom Diggity." The pomegranate made this salad POP. It was delicious. I ordered one of their signature frozen cocktails and got the Frolini!! The peach ring on top was such a treat! I could have easily had 7 more. HAHA! Service was prompt and great. Can't wait to go back and try their other signature martinis!

This place was fun, a darker, modern ambiance! There were 7 of us and we didn't have a reservation, but were still seated immediately on a Sunday around 12. Outdoor seating is available when the weather is nicer. BlackSheep has A LOT of food and drink options. I think brunch was still going on, and there were four different menus when we arrived which felt a little overwhelming but it's good to have options! Maggie was our waitress and did a good job taking care of us. We all ordered food and drinks. I chose the hummus platter which was just ok, the flavor was kind of bland and boring. The fresh vegetables were all delicious though. I probably wouldn't recommend it or order again. Everyone else really enjoyed the food they got, so I think I'll choose something else next time. I did like the drink I ordered which I can't remember the name of. It was some kind of latte with some liqueur in it! Despite the hummus platter not being great, everything else was and I will definitely come back soon to try a different drink and food!

Met friends at 3 for happy hour. Amy was our waitress and was absolutely amazing!! The happy hour menu is good, $6 off the shareables like flatbreads humus, the delicious tempura fried asparagus. $6 wines. Well drinks and beer also on special. Amy always checked in with us to see if we needed anything. all the shareables we had were delicious and ample in size. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. They also have a nice patio but it was a little chilly when we were there

I made a dinner reservation for a party of nine at BlackSheep Wine Bar & Merchant a day or two before our desired date. I spoke with a staff member who took my contact info and informed me that I would receive an email to confirm the reservation. I never received an email, but assumed everything was fine since I had spoken with a real person. I was the first to arrive, about 10 minutes before our reservation time. Upon checking in, the hostess informed me that they did not have a reservation under my name. They had canceled it because I never confirmed. I explained that I never received the email, and after looking into it, they realized that the team member I spoke with had entered my email address incorrectly by one letter. They apologized and quickly found us another table before the rest of the party arrived. The rest of our experience was great! The servers were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. The food and drinks were delicious. I had a frolini, brussels, pom diggity salad, and a half order of the smoked salmon bruschetta. We had some gluten and dairy intolerances in the group and BlackSheep has plenty of gluten-free and dairy-free options. The only complaint from our group was the noise level inside; it was challenging to have a conversation with someone across the table. I heard that there's live music on certain nights, and while I enjoy it, I was thankful they didn't have it that evening. If it wasn't so hot outside we would have opted for outdoor seating.

Their Garlic EVOO and Ant Moore Sauv Blanc are pretty nice! The ambiance here is definitely more of a trendy, date night kind of vibe. I like that it's located right in downtown Chandler near plenty of other shops (walking distance from me). Once I'm done breastfeeding this second child of mine, I'll definitely have to come back for a wine date night.

Pros: - I didn't know the restaurant went so far back, so it was cool to see how big this place was. - Cocktails are exceptional and well-balanced. - Wide selection of food. The sweet potato fries were good especially with the cheese sauce. Cons: - Bruschetta were underwhelming. Perhaps that's on me for having too high of expectations but they were just alright. - At the risk of sounding ungrateful, we were given a free dessert as we were celebrating an anniversary and because they were out of tiramisu, we got the cake. Whatever "fuel" they used to light the cotton candy on fire got all over the strawberries and some of the cake and made it taste so foul.

We have been to BlackSheep several times for food and drinks. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The happy hour is great and the most of the food is really good. The bruschetta is really good as a shareable appetizer but the beer battered asparagus is not worth it. All of the paninis we've had have been delicious but the burger could use more seasoning. The zesty coconut salad is delicious and huge. The Cajun cream pasta is good. If you're in downtown Chandler, it's a nice place to grab a drink and a sandwich that has a nice patio space when the weather is nice outside.

This wine bar has been my favorite happy hour find. They have fantastic happy hour every single day of the week and specials on certain days as well ( such a as the bruschetta and bottle). Whether you're looking for a fantastic price on a picture of beer or a great deal on any of their wine glasses this is the spot for you. The ambience of a modern cocktail bar is so inviting. This makes for the perfect date night spot. They have a vast array of bruschetta's to try. Their Barrata is delicious and their chicken sandwich with the crispy sweet potato fries is one of the many things that keeps me coming back to this location over and over again.

I came in for lunch with a group of friends on a Sunday and we had a great time! The Snackables were discounted so I got the chicken flatbread but it was a bit bland tasting and textures weren't quite right. I also got a frolini and that was delicious and came with little gummies! The service was a bit slow but our waitress was very nice and accommodating of our group. The atmosphere inside is really cool and sleek.

While on vacation in Arizona, our friends took us to BlackSheep Wine Bar for a late lunch/early dinner. The restaurant is so beautiful and has amazing lights! The service was impeccable and on point! One of the servers had served our friend weeks earlier and had been very attentive to her group and with us was no exception. Now the food...OMG!! Delicious!! Can't leave a review without discussing the drinks too! BlackSheep did not disappoint. Thank you!

Cute ambiance, friendly staff and even though I thought the frozen drinks we got tasted weak with lil added shot it was better and the glass of wine I had was nice. I would stop by again. But I will keep in mind one shot is 12 something which seems a lil steep.

Came here on a Monday evening around 5 ish caught the happy hour. I think it ends at 6 or 6:30 because we managed to order two glasses of wine before it was over. Lol. All wines are $6 a glass and apps /starters are $6 off the listed price. You get plenty for them to be starters, as it should be so thank you Black Sheep for not overcharging for tiny nibbles of food! Lol.. we got the chicken flatbread, it does have anchovies on it and sun dried tomatoes which I love! It was the best thing on the table even though I didn't try the meatballs but my Italian date said they were good and lean. He's a picky eater , like flavor but healthy. I prefer the same. I'm not picky but I'm definitely honest. The Brussels were good but I wouldn't say there was a wow factor like so many I've tried. However they were delicious and tender not actually crispy. Service was the sweetest even though that had a big party of probably at least 30 loud people show up , I didn't mind noise , I like some excitement in my life. It got really busy for them though and they handled it like champs and with a smile . The restrooms only accommodate one person at a time, maybe 3 of them I think. Overall I was so pleasantly surprised and need to come back here again and again! Love this place and glad he suggested it.

All I know is JACOB is the absolute best and brought the whole vibe I was trying to have !! Should get a raise and makes a lot better drinks than any other night without him!

We stopped in late on Monday evening for a celebration nightcap for our 20th anniversary! The bartender (sorry I can't remember her name) was most excellent and recommended the "Cousin Eddies Eggnog" drink - which we throughly enjoyed!

Very saddened that their daily happy hour has ended and it's only Monday through Friday 2 to 6.

I've been to Black Sheep Wine Bar before, and really enjoyed it. It has a really cool dark atmosphere with lots of interesting lights. There is an area with sofas too much back and enjoy a cocktail, a bar, tables and high tops, and patio seating out front. Our server was very sweet, and had the kitchen split our plates for us. Our drinks were fantastic--so delicious. It was a new menu, and the amazing salad I had before was no longer on it. I think it was a Cobb salad?? We split a Caesar salad and the spaghetti with meatballs served with garlic bread. Both were fine--not bad and not great. This place seems to be known for its burger, and that may have been a better choice for us. I do have to say I really like this place for it's cocktails and atmosphere and I'm sure I'll be back.

Black Sheep never misses! Truly such a gem. Stopped in on a Friday evening and we were excited to learn they have live music every Friday night! I love the dark and moody ambiance of the space. You really can't go wrong with any of the food-- this time we went for the pesto chicken sandwich, the zesty coconut salad, and the soup on special which was a green chile chicken. The sweet potato fries deserves a review of their own-- they are always so crispy and amazing. They had just rolled out their fall drink menu and so we indulged and tried the Apple Crumble, PSL, and the whiskey chai-- pro tip ask for it smoked. It's hard to choose a favorite because they were all so balanced and delicious. Will definitely be back on a Friday in the future because the live music really elevated an already amazing experience! Reservations are highly recommended!

We stopped by for a quick bite and overall we were pleased with the meal. The ambiance was nice. It was quieter inside and the decor was lovely. The booth/couch seats up at the front are a great spot if you want a little more lighting and a more relaxed feel as well. The service was great, we went mid afternoon so the place wasn't busy when we got there. We were seated pretty quickly and served quickly as well. The food came out in a decent amount of time. We ordered two bruschetta both of which were delicious and the meatball skewers which were good as well. The Brie panini was a nice quick bite. The ingredients were perfectly balanced and the sandwich was a pretty decent size. The sweet potato fries were also good. The spaghetti was a little bit bland and watery, it wasn't bad but it also wasn't good enough for us to want to order it again. We were also a little disappointed that the menu photo showed garlic bread and the dish did not come with garlic bread but it's not something we can't live without as we didn't notice it missing until the end of the meal. The menu also doesn't state that it comes with garlic bread so maybe it wasn't missing after all. Overall we would likely go back here again if we're out that way.

This place is perfect for both wine enthusiasts and casual diners 5. While reservations are recommended, the bar area welcomes walk-in guests for open seating. We went there on Friday night, and I very much enjoyed the grapefruit cocktail and cajun cream pasta. Even though the bar area was full pretty much the whole time, the bartender was attentive and friendly.

We finally had a chance to try the bruschetta at Black Sheep and we thought it was really good. The only thing that would make it better maybe if they used a little better bread other than that the toppings are great and the portion size was good as well. We had to ask them to cut it in fours as they normally do it in threes which makes it harder to share. Of course the ambience in there is always fantastic and you can't go wrong with the happy hour. Six dollar pitchers of beer almost all day! This is a great date night place or girls night out! Definitely recommend!

Met a girlfriend here for a little Friday lunch! Upon arrival it was so cute inside! Loved their happy hour options even at 12:30! We opted for wine (sauvy B and Cava - and for $6 a glass you just can't beat that!) and the burrata. The cheese was dressed with pistachios and a sauce that was delightful. The bread crisps were perfect! Will definitely be goin back to try the full menu or to enjoy more happy hour items. Lexus was our bartender/server and was phenomenal as well

I was very impressed with Blacksheep and our server Kenzie. She let us taste test the beer they had on the happy hour menu and we decided to get a pint of the strawberry cider, which was delicious. For happy hour they have $6 off any starters. My friend and I shared the caprese salad and chicken pesto flatbread. The vibe Inside was electric and fun. Service was great and we did not feel rushed. Cannot wait to come back!

Great food and great drinks! I started with a white sangria, I loved how fruity it was. We also ordered two types of bruschetta, we loved that that they cut them into pieces, so you didn't have to take a whole slice. It was easy to split among the table. My partner ordered the burger with sweet potato fries and I ordered the chicken pesto panini with a side salad. He said the burger was a unique flavor that wowed him and lived up to the award it won. I'm not a fan of sweet potato fries but these were too die for! The chicken pesto panini was really good but probably something i'd rather order for lunch than dinner. We didn't try any desserts, but will be back as we enjoyed our experience!

This place is amazing. Great staff and atmosphere. I absolutely love the soup! Always delicious. The grilled cheese and Cajun pasta is a favorite too. Definitely try this place!!!

This is a love hate relationship for me. I'm giving them 4 stars because the food is always good. And I am rating a restaurant. But, dang, it is loud and the service is hit or miss. Some would rather flirt and talk gossip with each other than wait a table.

This is kind of a hard review because it wasn't all bad. Came in this Friday and we didn't have an issue grabbing a seat at the bar. My friend was there before me and already had a beverage; the bar top was slow and the bartender walked past me numerous times, even making eye contact without saying a word or helping me. After 10 minutes I was able to grab a beer. After the initial hiccup her service was decent but pretty bare minimum. We decided to have another round and order some food. Having to look up the menu online is obnoxious and I hate being on my phone during a date. We ordered a board of four different choices and the meatball skewers in romesco sauce. The meatballs were excellent; compliments to the chef. The bruschetta board was half good and half seriously bland. The winners were the tomato pesto and the goat cheese, bacon and jam. The ricotta bacon bruschetta was so bland and mostly a mouthful of tomatoes. The salmon one was equally disappointing. Overall. A decent spread. I did like the ambience even though it was indeed a bit darker and louder than I generally prefer. There was a live band and they were awesome! Regrettably the food has made me ill. Fast forward to around 11pm yesterday evening I started feeling insanely bloated and quesy. Kinda just hit all of a sudden. I know you might be thinking that it could have been some other food; however, the food at black sheep was the last I had in my system. Let's just politely say that I have been good friends with the bathroom all day today. For those reasons I regrettably have to give a not so wonderful review. I would have also loved a glass of the n/a wine but they only sold it by the bottle (I understand because I'm sure it's not a big seller).

I am absolutely obsessed with this place!!! It's walking distance from my apartment and my favorite go to spot for some delicious wine and snacky bites! The food is incredible, the all day happy hour is hard to beat, and the staff always goes above and beyond! Be sure to check it out!

I love this spot! We go in about two times a week and love everyone on staff from the thoughtful general manager, wait staff, cooks, and hostesses. We are always welcomed with a smile and have come to know most who work there. Amazing deals from Board & bottle on Sunday and Monday's for $25, great happy hour 7 days a week, $6 wines and pitchers of beer, $6 off shareable appetizers! They have delicious food. I love the dark ambiance, it is very nice! I encourage you to try it, you won't regret it!

Monday: From 8-10:45PM bottle of wine, 2 pieces of bruschetta, and 1 dessert for $25 Tuesday: $6 glasses of wine, pitchers of beer, well cocktails, and snacks from 8-10:45PM Wednesday: 1/2 off bottles from 8-10PM Sunday: 4 bruschetta pieces and a bottle of wine for $20 from 8-10:45PM As for the bruschettas, I recommend: -Prosciutto, goat cheese, fig jam -Spinach and artichoke bruschetta -Honey, Brie, and apple bruschetta The food and wines were all delicious. I recommend the Riesling and Pinot Noir options.

Make a reservation if you want to eat a meal. Love the classy dim ambiance. This was the only place in downtown Chandler we could find an espresso martini. It was very busy. My friend and I wait for the bar to open up. Staff was very accommodating. The espresso martini was good, it does lean sweet though. The sweet potatoes fries were amazing! Comes with a cheese dip and ketchup. Sweet and salty and came fast. The bartenders were nice and attentive but also not clingy. There is live music on Friday and while I'm not usually a fan of live music, the talent was amazing and enjoyable. Will go again. Unrelated note: didn't love the other patrons that night--really socially inept, but seeing as this is the city of Chandler it makes sense

This has become my new favorite restaurant. I love the ambiance. It is very dark and sexy. They have live music on Friday and Saturdays so yes it will be extremely loud. The vibe is great though. Most people enjoy the live music and you see people singing along and a lot get up and start dancing. The singer they had last week was pretty phenomenal and brought in a big crowd. I have been to this spot about 5 times in the past month. I don't eat meat but they do have other items I can eat in the menu. A lot of the items can be modified. The drinks here are so good. The frozen peach Bellini is one of my favorites. The waitress and waiters have all been super great and very friendly. I will continue to come here cause I love the vibe. !

The venue is just gorgeous. The staff are friendly and the wine list has variety. I only went for a few drinks and didn't long but I will be back.

I love the vibe of this spot for our last night in chandler. We had walked past it many times on previous visits and decided to give it a shot. It was a week night so it wasn't very busy and we were able to sit wherever we'd like, we ended up at one of the high top tables close to the bar. I went with their famous wine not burger which was super juicy and delicious, it really does have a ton of flavor with the sautéed red wine onions topped in the burger. I also ordered my usual chardonnay to go with dinner. When we visit again I would love to check out their variety of bruschettas.

This place is definitely a vibe. Good music was playing. I love all of the black inside. Great service. Great drink...I mean a really great drink. They have happy hour daily. I wasn't a fan of the asparagus 100%. My food was hot and fresh. But it lacked seasoning. The cheese definitely made up for the lack of seasoning. I would definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

First time here... got an assortment of the bruschetta... an a cup of their soup which was tortilla something amazing lol I cannot stress enough how well curated and yummy their food was!! The service by Mr Adrian was amazing and I got to chat with Carrie their manager. What a treat and a random pleasant surprise! Great chill spot that I will definitely be going back to!!!

Come here all the time, I work in the neighborhood. Always so good! Adrian took care of us at the bar today and was amazing. Great menu knowledge and awesome attitude. Thanks again for always being great you guys/girls!

Love the food here! The service has been a hit or miss. Sometimes we have great service and sometimes the service is bad. We have walked out before due to our waiter never coming to the table. The ambiance is cool but some of the tables are so close that you're right on top of your neighbor, it's uncomfortable. Overall, better to go for lunch. Dinner is a bit crowded.
