I made a dinner reservation for a party of nine at BlackSheep Wine Bar & Merchant a day or two before our desired date. I spoke with a staff member who took my contact info and informed me that I would receive an email to confirm the reservation. I never received an email, but assumed everything was fine since I had spoken with a real person.
I was the first to arrive, about 10 minutes before our reservation time. Upon checking in, the hostess informed me that they did not have a reservation under my name. They had canceled it because I never confirmed. I explained that I never received the email, and after looking into it, they realized that the team member I spoke with had entered my email address incorrectly by one letter. They apologized and quickly found us another table before the rest of the party arrived.
The rest of our experience was great! The servers were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. The food and drinks were delicious. I had a frolini, brussels, pom diggity salad, and a half order of the smoked salmon bruschetta. We had some gluten and dairy intolerances in the group and BlackSheep has plenty of gluten-free and dairy-free options.
The only complaint from our group was the noise level inside; it was challenging to have a conversation with someone across the table. I heard that there's live music on certain nights, and while I enjoy it, I was thankful they didn't have it that evening. If it wasn't so hot outside we would have opted for outdoor seating.
