Superb experience from start to finish. front desk staff were very helpful- especially Ethan who went out of his way to find us another room when the first one - and second- weren’t quite right for our preferences. Fantastic rooms with super kitchens, view of the mountains, comfortable high quality furniture and beds that you don't want to get out of. Plus fireplaces, a pool and a hot-tub- we’d stay here again anytime. Loved it

Beautiful hotel - room was clean and spacious with a deep tub!! Front desk staff were fantastic! It was birthday so they have a little gift which was very thoughtful! Hot tub and pool were so great!! They also have BBQ’s to use and fire tables. Underground parking which is a huge bonus! The only complaint is that there was to be pool maintenance scheduled for the day after we checked out but they started 2 days ahead in the afternoon and then again morning we were checking out (loud machines sanding the cement) and lots of workers around - lost the relaxing part which is why we choose them - but overall beautiful accommodation and would book again!

Loved our week's stay at Blackstone Mountain Lodge. We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tubs each day, and utilized the kitchen amenities and cozy space. The bed was comfortable, the balcony was cozy and felt private despite facing (apartments?) The view was really pretty, especially in the morning as the sun came up. We used the gym as well which was perfect. Thank you for the amazing experience, great staff, and location. We enjoyed sitting by the electric fireplace in the evening after exploring and hiking! We had the one-bedroom king suite with the pull-out couch bed (which was also surprisingly comfy as per my friend who was with us) Would recommend for a cozy stay in a great location, very walkable to different spots, easy underground parking and a car wash available as well. Thanks Blackstone!

We stayed here unexpectedly due to last minute issues with our original reservation elsewhere and we could not have been happier with our stay! Staff was great, room was very clean and comfortable, walking distance from restaurants and shopping, beautiful view, what more could you ask for? Would definitely stay here again!

2 bedrooms suite is very spacious with a lot of storages. Stove, oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer are all new. The room is clean overall, doesn't have the usual hotel room smellm which is very rare. The room is promptly cleaned everyday. Anything needed to restock in the room was taken care of quickly upon the request. Our one week staying was quite pleasant.

We stayed here for two nights before going to Jasper. We were blown away. We had a two bedroom room with amazing Mountain View’s. Staff was friendly, super clean facilities and the pool was perfect for kids. They had bear spray to rent which was perfect. Free parking in a private parking garage

I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for my recent stay in room 313 at your establishment. My experience was truly exceptional, and I was impressed by the hotel's cleanliness, well-planned unit layout, and considered attention to guest privacy.||The amenities, including the pool, gym, and parking arrangements, exceeded my expectations. Additionally, the convenience of the car wash on site was a welcome feature.||I was particularly pleased by the staff's courtesy, kindness, and politeness during my stay. Their professionalism and genuine interest in ensuring a comfortable stay were greatly appreciated.||I look forward to visiting your hotel again in the future and experiencing the same level of service and amenities that I have come to expect from your establishment.||Thank you once again for a truly exceptional hotel experience.

We just visited Canmore and Banff. The Blackstone is an awesome spot to have as a base. We stayed 5 days here. It has just about everything you need. The bed is comfortable, great shower and they provide coffee, tea and creamers. We had a one bedroom apartment. We like to do some in meals as well as restaurants. It’s close to the highway to get on to go to Banff. It’s about a 20 minute drive. The pool and hot tubs are great. There are bathrobes provided as well as bath towels in the unit. The staff are great and answered all our questions. We would stay here again.

Yelp
Excellent value for the price! The hotel was very nice and clean. Service was great and the staff were wonderful to deal with. The hotel was pretty packed despite it being mid-week. We did have issues with noise one of our nights. The guests in the room next door were incredibly noisy and there were kids constantly running up and down the halls at night and in the early morning. Due to this we did receive a partial refund. One really neat touch that I've never seen at a hotel before was that they offered a free car wash! They provided everything you needed to do the job. They also provided a blu ray player in the room and bath salts which I have never seen before in a hotel either. They also gave us fresh cream for coffee in the fridge. There is one heated pool and 2 hot tubs. The pool could've used a cleaning as there were a bunch of leaves on the bottom. The hot tubs were nice but limited to 4 people each. Unfortunately, it was so busy that it was almost impossible to use. You constantly had to be watching it like a hawk if you wanted a turn. They did put a sign asking people to limit their time to 15 mins but that of course never happened. All in all I would love to stay here again. I would just make sure I get a room on the top floor and without an adjoining door.

Yelp
Great location, clean, and friendly staff. I would recommend them if you are visiting banff area. They are exactly 20 minutes from banff downtown. There are ample places to visit nearby. The lake Louise is little over a drive though. The town itself is pretty. Just make sure you check a room you are reserving for kitchenette/kitchen as all rooms are not equipped with the same. The access to common hot tub or warm water/epsom salt soak in the comfort of your room is convenient. They also has barbecue area if you want to spend your time in the lodge itself.

Yelp
Loved this hotel....and I worked in hotels for a good portion of my career, so I'm very picky about service, amenities, staff, etc Booked a 6 night stay in a two bedroom "condo" for a trip to Canmore. Absolutely blown away with size of the suite, it's modern amenities, the amenities they provide, the cleanliness, the bathroom layouts, the quality of the furnishings, the kitchen size, the balcony, the view, the convenient location to shops and restaurants, the comfortable mattresses and pillows, and the ease of use. From the moment we checked in (with a Laurel and Hardy tag team working the desk), we knew we were in for a treat. We were in Suite 306, which was phenominal. Both bedrooms were a very comfortable size, each with their own ensuite bathroom, flat screen tv, plenty of natural light, comfortable bed and bedding...pl7s slippers and bathrobe. The kitchen was full size...microwave, dishwasher, cutlery, plates/bowls/cups/saucers, fridge, stove, coffee maker, toaster, glasses..even dish soap, Pods for the dishwasher. Closet had a stacking, full size washer dryer...with Tide and Bounce. Ample sized dining table for 6. Living room with sofa, 2 chairs, coffee table, side table, huge flat-screen TV. Balcony had table and seating for 4. IF I had to get picky...parking spots are tight. Woukd highly recommend and will stay here again

Yelp
When visiting Banff and seen the glaciers we decided to stay here at the Blackstone Mountain Lodge. It was nice as we're traveling with family friends as well. The hotel fees weren't super expensive and affordable. The hotel itself was really nice and a half double bathrooms for two rooms, as well as a kitchen, and the living room for everyone. Overall was very spacious and very nice. Additionally there a lot of restaurants around.

Yelp
Blackstone Mountain Lodge is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the Banff and Lake Louise area. It is just a little over an hour away from the Calgary airport, about half an hour from Banff, and about an hour away from Lake Louise. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There is no breakfast available at the hotel, so expect to go out. Fortunately, the hotel is very close to many food options in Canmore. Each hotel room has a fridge that's just perfect for leftovers. There is usually water and iced tea available at reception. That iced tea was so good! It had me going back for more. Plenty of underground parking is available. You'll just need to get the code on checkin. The only problem was that there are 2 spot for cars in front of the hotel and one of them is not obvious. There was one day when a guest in a van parked in a way that blocked anyone from getting out of those spots, but also blocked anyone from entering or exiting the underground parking garage.

Yelp
Just checked in had a wonderful greeting from Olivia and that set the tone for our stay hear at Blackstone the room was excellent clean and spacious thank you for the warm greeting Olivia kind regards Terrell and Sandra

Yelp
COMPLETELY OVERPRICED . Bagged up doors and molding around the hotel give the appearance the hotel is not maintained well. Also, I would have expected they would have had an operational Wi-Fi, but they DID NOT. The telephones in the rooms also did not work.

Yelp
We had an absolutely excellent stay here recently! We had chosen this hotel as they offered suites with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and we were not disappointed. This suite had everything: laundry, dishwasher, a fully equipped kitchen, deep bathtubs (and bath salts! And when we wanted more bath salts for more baths the front desk kindly provided them), a small deck and some good common space to relax in. The hotel had a nice outdoor pool and two great hot tubs. There are also communal BBQs that people can use if they so choose. We didn't take advantage of all the great amenities of the rest of the facility including the games room or the self-serve car wash parking stall, but it was nice that they did have so many great amenities. Perhaps my only complaint is that the building must have settled over time and so the internal doors in our suite were a bit tight and got stuck (noisy!). But that's a really mild complaint. The front desk staff were excellent -- they even complimented my unicorn slippers! The hotel provides great robes for use in the suites (or by the pool!) and the pool had good towels available which was nice for when I used the hot tub. This hotel is very family friendly. The suites are a bit odd with lots of corners and nooks and crannies but overall it is a great place to stay for families or adults alike. I would definitely return if I wanted to be in the Banff/National Parks area again. The town of Canmore is also a great small town to visit and wander around so that makes it an appealing option as well.

Yelp
We stayed at a suite that was privately owned. I will say it is a beautiful place. The parkade is tight like all the others in Canmore but we managed. The room was beautiful with amazing views! The kitchen is definitely functional, the beds were decent and the furnishings were excellent. The only complaint that I had was that the room was so dry.

Yelp
We arrived to check in and the front desk said that we didn't have a reservation (although we definitely did). We waited for 20minutes. Finally they said we could stay and figure things out in the morning and charges would be assessed. I reminded them that we had already paid. My dog is a service animal and they insisted on charging us for a pet fee. Hardly legal. The upgraded room was clean but scuffed up. We called the next morning to extend our check out and the front desk said that was fine. Fifteen minutes later housekeeping attempted to enter. Five minutes after that our phone rang and someone else asked why we were still in the room - we explained that we had asked for an extended checkout and the person on the other end said "well who told you that?!" Again, we said someone at the front desk has said it was ok. Overall this place was NOT worth the money, the service was not great.

Yelp
The room was clean and comfortable, but had a very sparsely equipped kitchen that required lots of dishwashing, made even more difficult by the shortage of dish towels. Hand, face and bath towels were also not well stocked. (2 face cloths for a family of 4). We booked here to enjoy the pool with our family and were told we reserve our swimming time at front desk. Not true. It's essentially a free for all. We stayed 5 nights and were able to enjoy the pool once. We did get Into a second time, but left very soon after we realized the hotel staff had no intent to limit guests. The posted capacity was 20, as we left, I counted more than 30 guests with more arriving.

Yelp
Alright I have to give them a 5 stars for providing good customer service alone. I posted a four stars review on trip advisor during our stay mainly due to street noise and closed heated pool. I was contacted by guest services right away the next day (calls to my room and cell, tried to discuss the issues). The pool opened up on the day before we check out but we didn't get a chance to use it because of our schedule. They also didn't end up charging my resort fees due to pool closure. You can tell that they try hard to please their customers which I highly appreciate it. I believe good customer service is the core for any business. Thank you for a good stay.

Yelp
Had a wonderful stay! We had a spacious two bedroom, 2 bath corner unit. Amazing views from every window. We also had two terraces to enjoy. The kitchen and washer dryer were a definite plus. The staff are very friendly. Nadia was extremely helpful in helping us out with our excursions. I would highly recommend this resort and would stay here again.

Yelp
Had the room near the lobby so was loud. The beds weren't comfortable, location not great, and the room had a smell. The hot tub/pool outside couldn't be used due -40 temp plus wind chill. In addition there was a loud clanging from the pipes or adjacent room, but when we complained were told they'd take note of it. Much better places in the area for better price.

Yelp
Totally upset trying to book a room for upcoming wedding wife was quoted.a price said she had to contact her spouse to confirm called back was told that quote was no good price went up over 200. Found out later the wedding had set rates which where not quoted told by Mgr. I was not suited for this venue as I was trying to obtain out original quote then the Mgr decided to block me from going to the venue as she decided it's not suited nothing like over stepping you duties an figure you are the profiling police . If she new her job it would not of took her 26 min if talking in circles to me and gave me the agreed upon rates for the venue but I would say greed for the ol mighty dollar ruled this conversation. As she called me a rude name which I will not write here but insists it was me after she couldn't handle her job properly. Should have not taken more than 5 min. Over 85. Dollars. I would never book there after this experience with a poorly trained Mgr. Profiling cop was also informed not to call back or they would send the cops to my door .? Not sure for wht an dont know if are reservation is actually canceled or if they're goin to try an bill us for nothing

Yelp
We stayed here in the late summer/early fall of 2013. It was very nice, updated, clean and nicely located. Our room was not facing the highway (which we thought was a bonus for us!) At the time of our stay the free wi-fi was not working well.....we had to go to the lobby to use it which was a bit inconvenient at times. We were told that each room would be getting their own wi-fi it just wasn't available yet. We had a small room (most similar to a hotel room) and felt that we got a good rate -- although we pre-paid for the room. The communal kitchen and barbecue area had plenty of things that you might need should you want to stay in and cook. Multiple barbecues and large tables helped us meet others who were staying there as well. The two lobby areas have nice chairs and fireplaces as well to warm up near on the colder days/nights. We did not use the pool but noticed lots of guests utilized it. The underground secure parking garage was very nice...just an elevator ride up to our floor made it easy (and kept us dry on the rainy day). Just a few miles from the entrance of Banff National Park, this was a great place to stay. Nearby was the central part of the town of Canmore where we went out to eat a few times and enjoyed shopping and ice cream at the School Bus! I would definitely stay here again. Ease of use, helpful staff, and updated/clean facilities provide great value for the price.

Yelp
This review is for the Blackstone Mountain Lodge at 170 Kananaskis Way, Canmore. We checked in for four nights over the Christmas break and found the location and facility to be superb. The look and feel is a typical mountain hideaway with exposed timbers and lots of local stone to give a rugged look to the space. One of the best features is the secure, heated underground parking which has a car wash to swish away the road grime collected while driving around the roadways. Our one bedroom suite contained a full kitchen with full size appliances including a stacker washer and dryer. The beds are very comfortable with lots of in room storage space for ones 'stuff'. Great rate around $200/night which I consider good value for a quiet, clean and well appointed facility.

Yelp
This has to be the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. We got a seller deal on a king suite through Hotels.ca and it hasn't disappointed. The room is large and very clean, there is a full kitchen, a perfect little patio facing the mountains and the bed is big and very comfortable. All of this plus free wifi. When we come back out here again I will be sure to book a room here. I can't say enough good things about it.

Yelp
Hotel doesn't have a reasonable cancellation or refund policy. Be warned - if you make a mistake in Expedia in your booking they don't offer refund or credit. Will tell all my friends on FaceBook and in our company that the Blackstone Mountain Lodge not worth the hassle. :(
