An artistic tour in Belgium though Jan van Eyck - SilverKris

"A preserved city palace and courtyard garden dating from the Burgundian era, notable as the only surviving example of a certain type of medieval banking house outside Italy; its geometric hedges and intimate courtyard offer a rare glimpse into the private urban architecture of the period." - Clodagh Kinsella

Another secondary attraction of Bruges that is not included in the museum pass and that costs excessively. 10€ is a lot, especially these days, and opening hours are also extremely sparse.

€10 to enter, and nothing to see. The paintings are all copies. The people in the museum don’t know anything. There is nothing in English to read. You don’t see a palace you see a chapel from the ceiling. Save your money. Get some french fries and you’ll have a better Belgian experience.

Medieval city palace in the heart of the city. A place with a rich history dating back to 1435, built by Sir Pieter Bladelin. Later on, this place has been owned by the 'De Medici family' and by 'Priest Du Foere' who established a lace school. Nowadays it's a nursing home and monasterium. A unique space that has welcomed both the wealthiest and the humblest individuals throughout the centuries. Certainly worth a visit! One of the most wonderful historical buildings in Bruges.

Very little to see. Luckily we got lost and found ourselves in an office full of architects at the top of the building, one of whom took pity and showed us around the gardens, which were very nice.
