Bláfell restaurant at Hotel Breiddalsvik

This is an amazing restaurant, especially with it being only restaurant for a while. Anyways, we were one of 2 groups there, so the service was naturally very fast. The waitresses were very nice, and made sure we were happy. I had the Thai Curry (chicken variant) and it was delicious. But it was a huge portion so at least I got to share. My only issue was the rice was a bit undercooked, but otherwise it was delicious. 9/10 The lamb chops were SO good. It was moist and easily chewable, the dissolve-in-your-mouth type of meat. The mashed potatoes were also delicious, along with the fries (I think they were). And finally the happy marriage cake. A delicious oatmeal-cookie-cake-blend (very delicious by itself) paired with some whipped cream topped with blueberries and blueberry compote to top it all off. They pair nicely with the warm and moist cake. Delicious. 10/10 All in all, this restaurant is delicious, though on the expensive side. It was delicious, 10/10. 100% recommend.

It took me some courage to post this review but I believe our group were being discriminated. Despite multiple empty tables, the waitress asked us to wait for more than thirty minutes when another two groups of Westerners get served immediately just in front of us and arriving fifteen minutes after us. We tried to talk to the waitress but she just boldly asked us to wait followed by a rude “THANK YOU”. She did not even come to take our order instead by a kind boy coming out from the kitchen. Nevertheless the food was good but does not make up to us from the bad experience she has given us.

Delicious dinner! Fresh veggies, fish of the day (cod) was well-cooked, and the ambience was cozy and lovely. Highly recommend!

Nice little restaurant in this beautiful small village. Avoid the lamb, it was awful, dry and overcooked. My girlfriend had the burger and it was quite good.

Had tasty carrot and ginger soup of the day with bread. Fresh cod from local boats. Fast and friendly service.

We asked for the fresh fish and the vegetarian curry.. everything was really fresh and good ! Recommended

The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. The owner looks like the American actress Ashley Tisdale—she’s beautiful, friendly, and very welcoming! When she heard that we were from Taiwan, she even spoke a few words in Chinese. It was a wonderful evening. I’ll definitely recommend this place to my friends and tell them it’s worth a special trip!

Het was super! De kip was zo mals, echt lekker! Het is erg afgelegen en een beetje oud ingericht, maar de service en het eten zijn top!
