Just wanted to say this was one of the best surprises we had over our holiday across Scotland. Popped in on a Sunday and enjoyed two amazing BLT's in their homemade rolls. All came with exceptional service and in such a lovely historic building. Was gutted we were leaving that morning, but so glad we popped in to experience it all. The working watermill adds so much to the atmosphere too. Don't miss out on this absolute gem of a place.

What an absolutely lovely place! My husband and I made an impromptu stop here for a bite to eat and it ended up being a highlight on our trip to Scotland. The food was delicious and the garden was such a relaxing place to sit for a while. Our favorite bit was the mill tour and hearing about its history and how it works from Ally. He was so very kind, hospitable and didn't mind all our questions (thank you!!). We'll be hoping the drought disappears soon and the water starts flowing again!

Incredible hidden gem of a place! Great food, staff, and indoor and outdoor areas. They mill their own flour and bake all of the breads, cakes and croissants used in the Cafe, there is even freshly milled flour for sale. You can walk in and see the milling room and watch the mill working if you time it right. Beautiful place with great history and really affordable pricing. Highly recommend

What a little gem we found on our drive back to Edinburgh from the Highlands! It’s tucked away down a tiny street and has the loveliest garden where you can enjoy your drink and pastries. We also loved learning about the working Watermill. It was out of commission for a couple hundred years but restored in the 70’s. You can learn about its history and see it working! You can even purchase the flour produced by the mill. If you are in the area, you must stop at this idyllic little cafe with scrumptious scones and coffee.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stop here. The watermill is functioning and the restaurant is cozy and cute. The staff was incredibly polite and the food was delicious. We would definitely come back.

I stopped here after walking 100km through Cairngorms, had a lovely ham & cheese toastie, lentil soup… and a mars bars crispy cake washed down with a latte. Just what I needed very comfy place. Quick and efficient service. Thanks from a hungry hiker 🤟🤘👌✌️👍

Lovely cafe in an old mill...baked goods include croissants, cakes ,scones and bread. Great service...wooden seating is practical but not comfortable outside.dogs are allowed outside. Plenty of parking . IMHO the cheese scones are a bit doughy and could do with more cheese, the chocolate cake was very chocolatey but the frosting too thick and sweet for our taste Have been 3 times already and will be back...a must do in Blair Atholl.

What a really place to stop for a drink and or a snack / meal, in a really nice setting. They have a working watermill with rooms inside for customers to see all the workings of a watermill. Plenty of items to buy, eg flour and oatmeal etc. Plenty of free carparking. Customer toilets were clean.

Yelp
The first place we stopped during our visit was at the Blair Atholl Watermill. It is a wonderful bakery with a variety of fresh bake selections. My breakfast roll was fantastic with tea. The croissants and sour dough loaf were favorites with the family. This is a must stop for anyone make this area a holiday destination. Very friendly and dedicated staff.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped into this quaint little cafe on a rainy afternoon as we waited for the next train to Pitlochry. It was very crowded inside but we managed to find a table that just opened up. This is a great cafe to order soup and sandwiches or just coffee and tea. Order from the counter and let them know your table number and they will deliver your food. They also have outside dining in their tea garden, weather permitting. The prices are very reasonable, especially for their daily lunch specials written on the chalk board. I had soup and a BLT sandwich on freshly baked bread and it was delicious. #blairathollcafes #blairathollrestaurants

Yelp
Before visiting the Blair castle we found this great place to have lunch. It's a proper watermill where buying flour and handmade bread. We tried different kinds of bread and pastry and I definitely recommend the cheese scones! You can also find soups and sandwiches. The place is cosy and small and there is a wonderful tea garden outside. They make tea and infusions with their own garden herbs!

Yelp
One of only 11 working watermills in Scotland today, Blair Atholl Watermill is a must see if you are in the area. You can see the working mill, free of charge, that grinds flour, oatmeal and apparently special bean cakes for the pandas at Edinburgh Zoo! There are wee signs with history and information for those interested and children. Attached the Watermill and Bakery is a wee cafe with obviously amazing rolls, cakes and breads and other goodies. On a nice day there is seating outside on the deck and in the garden. The flour, oatmeal and museli milled on site is available to purchase as well as local jams and biscuits.

Yelp
Miss this place and you will miss out on a lovely little gem. The staff are friendly and quick to see to your order. Bread, flour, cakes and lots of other affair are on sale. Part of the mill has an exhibition which is free to have a look around. The exhibition covers the history of the mill and how it works. The cafe is warm in atmosphere and inviting. I had the homemade porridge made with oats milled at the watermill. It takes an extra 10 minutes to wait and it is worth the wait. It was served with cream and honey on the side and I have to say it was the best porridge I have ever had. So good in fact I brought a bag with instructions to take home. Yes I was Impressed with a capital I. I could not leave without a four seeded loaf of bread that went into my shopping bag along with a bag of oats, wholemeal flour and muesli all milled on site. Wonderful place for a spot of breakfast at any time of the day. Xoxo
