By far the best place to stay around Moosehead Lake. Exceptionally nice 10 room inn, lovely dinning room and bar and very large porch, all with spectacular views of Moosehead Lake. All staff very pleasant, though could be better trained. Rooms are large and well appointed. Bed was a touch soft but pillows were great. Extremely comfortable place with specular views. Compared to prior wWEB PICTURES DINING AND BAR FURNITURE HAVE BEEN UPDATED. only downside was dinner and bar staff, drinks come slow and food comes very fast. We got our appetizers before our cocktails. We ordered a bottle wine—which they were out of, tried something else. -also out of, ordered a third choose and they came back after finding our first choice. Wine finally came after we were done eating. On the flip side the staff was better than anywhere else we went. The stairs going upstairs are curved and a bit difficult. Hot tub was in need of maintenance. In summary, some issues to solve, but overall the physical property far outways ant staff issues

Where do I start? My husband and I just spent an idyllic weekend at the Blair Hill Inn. Upon arrival- we were greeted immediately and given a tour of the property. We were BLOWN AWAY by all the amenities they offer (many of which aren’t even advertised!) From a book/game library, a cocktail lounge, multiple outdoor decks overlooking the gorgeous property complete with outdoor fire tables and fleece blankets for your comfort, a 24/7 fully-stocked, self serve coffee bar, a 24/7 outdoor hot tub, as well as trails on the property for exploring, etc.) We were fortunate enough to make a dinner reservation at the property’s restaurant- Slate (highly recommend!) and also booked a couples massage in their spa. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning and felt like they offered a great variety! This property has everything you could ever need and then some. There is so much to do in the area with nice weather- but this luxury bed and breakfast offers just as much if the weather doesn’t hold out. The complimentary snacks in our room, the smart tvs with multiple streaming platforms already logged in, the dreamy beds, the complimentary luxury robes and slippers, all the way down to the local soaps and lotions offered are just SOME of the well thought out amenities this property provides. They’ve genuinely considered everything. The staff were so kind and friendly and genuinely made us feel like family. Soundproofing was excellent as we never heard another guest while in our rooms. Can’t recommend this place enough and we genuinely can’t wait to return.

A great place to stay! We were treated fabulously. This was the highlight of our 9 day trip to Maine. Food and service at Slate were great especially the service by Shana. Naim, the bartender, was such a pleasure. Nick the Manager greeted us and attended to our every need.|Nick connected us with Aiden who took us on a Moose Safari where we saw 5 moose

This was indeed a splurge for us but well worth it. It was a weekend of complete indulgence and relaxation. From the moment we reserved the room, it was a very transparent process with open communication. The estate itself is more beautiful in person. It is regal and impressive with amazing views everywhere you won't want to leave. Parking, super easy, The check in process- no problem. We were greeted by Addy with champagne. Our room was upgraded to a bigger room with a better view. The room is beautiful, clean, new. The space is ample. The bathtub is total luxury and the shower not so shabby either. The snacks provided were top notch and much appreciated- homemade cookies, local chips, soda. The TV has premium channels and there was no way we were leaving the room at night, so we got to watch some good movies. We did not take advantage of the restaurant as it was too indulgent for us but each night it was packed & everyone looked very pleased. The breakfast that was included was very nice and not your average options. I chose the home-made granola and yogurt my husband had fresh omelets. The baked goods provided were baked that day and fresh as well as fresh squeezed orange juice. There was always free access to coffee and tea. We took an amazing hike on the grounds, and it was very easy and enjoyable. We viewed glorious sunsets and impressive stars at night. My absolute favorite was the soap provided was from the local Mountain soup store in Greensville. I loved this soap so much I bout a whole bunch online once I got home. My favorite thing about this beautiful place was the way they all made me feel. There was always a presence of someone there to ask a question or lend a smile. By day 2 I felt like family as was sad to go. I witnessed the owner taking pictures of the sunset which impressed me because she sees it everyday and it still seemed to draw pleasure for her. What I will remember most is the way the team made me feel- I felt special- not just a guest but more than that. I had nice conversations with many of the staff, the waitress and Jason the GM. You are all doing an amazing job and have a beautiful place you should be very proud of. I have traveled all over the world but had never experienced the love that I felt when I stayed at Blair Hill Inn. Thank you!

The Blair Hill Inn in Greenville, Maine, offers an experience that truly begins the moment you step through their doors. The atmosphere and decor are simply amazing, creating a welcoming and sophisticated ambiance. Coupled with incredibly welcoming service, we felt right at home from the start. The views of the lake are utterly stunning, providing a breathtaking backdrop to the entire visit. While the food was well-presented, it didn't quite reach the same heights as expected; it was good, but didn't "wow" us. However, the personal attention and excellent service largely compensated for this. We did find it a bit odd that for such a small menu, the staff occasionally struggled to remember who ordered what. Our only real point of contention was with the bread service and shared small plates. For a table of four, receiving bread divided onto two plates, with a single small Parker House roll needing to be cut in half, felt a bit awkward. Similarly, the whipped ricotta and chicken liver parfait, while delicious, were presented as small, shared portions for two, requiring us to divvy them up at the table. While this might be fine in a very casual setting or with family, it felt a little off and not quite commensurate with the price point, and a fine dining experience. Despite these minor quibbles, The Blair Hill Inn delivers a memorable experience, largely thanks to its incredible setting, beautiful interiors, and outstanding hospitality.

We had the most incredible stay at Blair Hill Inn while celebrating my mom’s 80th birthday, and every element—from the restaurant to the spa to the accommodations—was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Jenn, the owner, who personally greeted us, shared the inn’s rich history, and gave us a thoughtful tour of the property. The accommodations were spacious, beautifully designed, and well thought out. We especially appreciated the in-room coffee, water, and extra snacks—it’s those small touches that truly elevate the experience. The views overlooking Moosehead Lake are absolutely breathtaking and set the perfect tone for relaxation. The spa was peaceful and rejuvenating, and having access to the sauna, shower, and hot tub made it even better. One of our favorite moments was sitting on the porch with a beverage and crudités, taking in the scenery and the calm atmosphere. Dinner at Slate was a highlight. The five-course tasting menu was exquisite—creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite was memorable, and the service was attentive and warm. The birthday sign at our table was such a thoughtful gesture that made our celebration even more special. Blair Hill Inn is truly a gem in Maine—elegant yet welcoming, luxurious yet grounded in hospitality. We left feeling rested, celebrated, and eager to return.

Loved my stay at Blair Hill Inn! Clean rooms, very friendly and courteous staff. Wonderful spa experience and fine dining! Highly recommend.

Google
Not exactly what I expected. What was excellent: The multi-course dinner. Worth every penny. Probably the best dinner I've ever had. The walking trail up the hill with beautiful views. The Inn in general (both from my room and the restaurant) had breathtaking views. The spa was exceptional. Best massage ever! The Owner was very nice. The other guests were very friendly. It was nice having a Nespresso machine in the room (I've developed a new habit). The drinking water was so good. What fell short: The bedding was dirty, there were flies in the room (dead and alive) and it was heated by a space heater. I was asked about my dietary preferences before my arrival, (I'm diabetic), but no efforts were made to meet them. On one night, I went down to the restaurant area to have a cup of tea and relax in the restaurant in front of the fireplace. I heard very loud yelling and f bombing from the kitchen. Everyone in the restaurant was stunned. The circuit breaker blew, which was unnerving. The hot tub needed a shock. No one after asked me about my stay or if I needed anything. No one reached out afterward. Overall, I was disappointed. I vacation very seldom and this was a very expensive trip. Travel Tips: Make sure you bring food for the fridge. It's a hike to the nearest town and the dining schedule is breakfast and dinner during the week. Also, bring binoculars if possible. Lots of wildlife. Be aware of the seasonal recreation. I didn't realize so much of it would be closed during my visit.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner. The 5-course prix fixe was outstanding. Two choices for courses three, four, and five. All were excellent, and the selection of wines by the glass was very well chosen. We will definitely return on future visits to the area.

Yelp
The food and drinks were excellent but way overpriced. There were 2 options for the prixe fix menu but they ran out of the other. There were only 2 other people in the restaurant. Service was excellent. The views at sunset were amazing. Not sure I would go back for dinner. They do have entertainment and casual food options out in the back area. This schedule is supposed to be on FB. It is not a daily event but may increase during the summer. The Spa is also very pricey. Blair Hill is a beautiful option if you can afford it.

Yelp
This review is for the Slate Restaurant. Fantastic! Unbelievable! Amazing! So many superlatives could be used to describe the excellent meal we had on New Year's Eve at Blair Hill Inn. We started with Oysters, Beets, and a Pumpkin based soup. Everyone raved about them. I had the oysters and they were perfect. They may have been the best I've ever had in New England. Surprised to get oysters this good so far from the coast but I would order them every time after having them that night. Two guests had the beets and couldn't stop praising them. I tried a bite and they were incredible! The Pumpkin soup went over well also. Presentation on all appetizers was awesome. Everything was perfect. I should have mentioned that the drinks were also very good. We tried a couple specials and they were expertly prepared. For the entrees we tried a Halibut, a Steak and a couple Lobster dishes with a broth and puff pastry. I had one of the lobsters and again it was delicious and presented beautifully. I also tried a bite of the halibut which was probably the best halibut I've ever tried. Another gorgeous presentation as was the steak which I did not try but which was reported as being amazing as well. Service was perfect, the ambiance was both elegant and festive. The noise level was perfect. There's simply nothing that could have been done better. I've eaten all over the world and previously worked in the business for many years. You're going to have a difficult time finding a better dining experience. This legendary dinner, coupled with excellent company, is one of the best I've ever had. If you're ever in the Greenville area I would make time for a meal at the Slate Restaurant at Blair Hill Inn. You'll be so glad you did!

Yelp
Wished the weather was better as it has a great view of the lake. Nice fancy meal for this area and service was good. Smoked fish with skin first course was fantastic with red and gold beets. Lobster bisque was just ok and more broth tasting than a bisque. The baked oyster was good just wish it had more caviar for the the salt flavor. The refresher tasted like a daiquiri and was a great cleanser. The lamb was delicious. Swordfish was not good, tough and dry. Dessert was good with apples and ice cream and some sort of bread. The cheese plate was great too. Enjoyed most of the meal. The autumn old fashion was good and reminiscent of the season.

Michael H.

Yelp
Way over priced, left still feeling hungry after 5 course meal. Service was great however. Food was kind of boring, but with set menus it's hit or miss I guess.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience at Blair Hill Inn! We were there as guests for a wedding and were completely blown away by the venue, the rooms, the dining, and the atmosphere. The venue for the wedding reception was perfect. Plenty of space for dining and dancing. As an added bonus, there is a sweet, short trail into the hills that provides nothing but silence and peace. Albeit a bit pricey, but if you are looking for an wonderful experience with wonderful staff, I highly encourage you to enjoy Blair Hill Inn.

Yelp
We took a few weeks off and vacationed up to Maine after Labor Day Weekend. One of our stops was up at Moosehead Lake for the 48th Annual International Sea Plane Fly-In. https://www.seaplanefly-in.org/ We stayed at the Blair Hill Inn & Restaurant, Greenville, Maine. Ms. Jenn Whitlow (Owner/Innkeeper) and her entire staff were great and are a class act. The gourmet food was awesome and the views overlooking Moosehead Lake were amazing. If you're planning your next trip up to Maine near Moosehead Lake you definitely have to stay at the Blair Hill Inn & Restaurant. www.blairhill.com

Yelp
The Slate Restaurant Fantastic, delicious food. What an amazing restaurant. The food was fabulously delectable. My husband and I wanted to lick our plates. Everything served was delicious. The presentation of the dishes inviting. The chefs ability to combine flavors was spectacular and tantalizing. The staff professional and attentive. A wonderful experience. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The views spectacular. Worth every penny. We will return.

Yelp
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Luxurious accommodations, breathtaking views, and 5-star culinary experience. Everything was just first-rate. The staff are welcoming and professional. We did the Moose Safari tour and loved it! This is a special place. Full marks. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Tasting dinner for my wife's birthday. Best meal ever! Food and service were great. Wonderful view

Beth F.

Yelp
Had dinner for New Year's, was very surprised at the lack of overall quality and choices for such a pricey menu. The Inn itself is very beautiful however but I would not recommend dining there.

Yelp
Just got back from our annual fall trip to the Blair Hill Inn. As per usual, it did not disappoint. The ownership and staff at BHI are first class, accommodating, and hospitable. We are already counting down the days until next year's trip. The rooms are worth every penny. Spectacular views, first class amenities, and comfort at every then. The Inn's multi course dinner was simply incredible. Local and fresh ingredients, proper portions, and a well thought out menu. The Inn's new owner Jenn put on a master class of customer service. She accommodated a last minute schedule change we had due to a family issue and made our stay memorable. Well done to you Jenn and your entire staff!

Yelp
Delicious fresh dishes with local ingredients! I love their use of flowers in their dishes and their tuna appetizer! I wish their deserts were a bit better tho! One of the highlights were the views and ambiance! Great service!!

Yelp
Wonderful rooms, hospitality, dining and views. We loved our three day stay, relaxing on the porch after a day of hiking, to watch the sunset. Very friendly and hospitable staff. The Blair Hill Inn is a gem.

Yelp
Beautiful, expensive, and a great experience are tbe words that come to mind when I describe my Blair Hill Inn dining experience. We did not stay in the inn,so we came @ 5:30 for pre dinner drinks. We sat on the front porch with its million dollar view and chatted with the inn's guests. We chose the price fixed 6 course dinner. The chef is very talented and the quality and flavor of the food is 5 stars. If quantity of food is important to you,I would not dine here as the portions are small. We left full and satisfied, but you will not have any leftovers! Our server Lani, was very nice and the service professional. We watched the sun do down over the lake as we enjoyed our dessert. The owners deserve credit for their efforts in restoring this historical property and have done a fantastic job.

Justine W.

Yelp
We stopped in here hoping to have a glass of wine. We were not guests at the inn, but we were staying on the other side of the lake and found Blair Hill Inn online. It looked beautiful, so we wanted to check it out to perhaps stay here the next time we're in this area. We were greeted by a gentleman who quickly informed us the bar was for guests only. He allowed us to look around the restaurant, but he made it clear through his presence we were not welcome because we were not guests. The place was empty, except for an elderly couple sitting on the patio. The grounds are beautiful and have a beautiful view, and I'm sure it's a lovely place to stay. However, the spirit of the place was elitist and uninviting. Consequently, we will not stay here in the future. Just a little hospitality would have gone a long way and secured future business. But alas, we'll take our business elsewhere.

Lynn Morrison W.

Yelp
You can never go wrong staying at a Relais & Chateaux property, but Blair Hill Inn is truly unique and special in a myriad of ways. I traveled there on a vacation with my vegetarian daughter and if there is a true 5 star meal for a vegetarian than it is here! The chef was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating and my daughter ( who is quite well-traveled) could not get over how fabulous the food was during our stay. My meals were also five star all the way! The rooms were nicely furnished with cozy and comfortable beds, gorgeous bathrooms, and lots of spectacular views! There are several areas, both inside and outside to curl up with a good book and read or just envelope yourself in the phenomenal views overlooking the mountains and Moosehead Lake (including the steamer ship that passes by). Blair Hill Inn personifies the definition of "understated elegance" and the owner's and staff make sure that every aspect of your stay is pleasant and memorable - down to the last nuanced detail. One caveat is to book any spa treatment in advance.

Rene C.

Yelp
This place is a gem. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the restaurant is amazing, and the location can't be beat. We had a amazing 5 course dinner that truly rivaled the best meals I've had in michellen star restaurants. Probably the highlight of our stay was watching the sunset from the patio overlooking the lake. The perfect end to a perfect day. Oh, and the staff is also top notch. This is a place that screams attention to detail.

Yelp
An amazing place for cocktails and dinner. Reservation definitely needed. Get there early, soak up the sun on the porch. Warm and welcoming staff, house sommelier is engaging and has crafted a great wine menu. Food is fantastic. A place to enjoy and frequent in the summer, nothing quite like that view on a nice evening.

Courtney B.

Yelp
We had the most amazing dining experience of our lives here! Everything was beautiful, unique, & absolutely delicious. The service was top notch across the board, the place is so beautiful, the view is spectacular, & the drinks before on the porch were absolutely fantastic. It isn't possible for us to say enough about it. Neither of us had ever had a true fine-dining experience before & were quite honestly not sure what exactly to expect. We were blown away! We felt so incredibly comfortable & most certainly left beyond satisfied. If you have the opportunity to go - GO!
google avatar

Yelp
We had cocktails and dinner, did not stay at the Inn. But if we can save our pennies, we will definitely be back to stay! An incredible evening, one of the best dining experiences of our lives.

Yelp
This was our second stay at the lovely Blair Hill Inn and it was as great as the first time. Our first time was when they had just opened for the season and the restaurant was not available for dinner. This time we were able to dine at the Inn both evenings. Ruth and Dan are wonderful hosts - going out of their way to make your stay the best they can make it. The Inn itself is total luxury. Wonderful comfortable beds - luxury linens - spa like bathrooms and great spaces. The library/bar is comfortable and Dan serves a mean drink. The dinners were easily as good as we have had in Manhattan. Kudos to the chef. It was a very enjoyable stay and we look forward to visiting again next year.

Yelp
Holy luxury inn, batman! Blair Hill Inn is spectacular on every level. Unfortunately we were only here for 3 night and 2 of the days we were off property for 80% of the day and didn't get to enjoy everything Blair Hill Inn had to offer. First of all the mansion is gorgeous and sits high on Blair Hill over looking Moosehead Lake. The yard is expansive and well maintained, it is a photo waiting to happen. The interior is equally as beautiful and very well cared for and restored. The rooms are updated with flat screen tvs and dvd players (the library of dvds and cds is on the main level) but they aren't prominent. The room is about relaxation. The bathroom has a deep soaking tub and a cool standing shower with the massaging river rock floor surface. Downstairs you can relax in the bar with a drink or play board games, read books, or sit on the porch swing and watch the sunset. The cost of the room includes a luxurious three course breakfast (we only got to eat there once!!!) that changes seasonally. My favorite part was the broiled grapefruit half, it was so fun! The dining area makes up a big part of the main floor and is open to everyone so even if you can't stay here, you MUST dine here one night. The price for a pre-fixe five course meal is an absurd $55. How on earth can it be so cheap? I was busting at the seams of my dress by the end of the meal and my mom couldn't finish any of her courses. The menu changes every week and you have a few options within each course. This review sounds like a lot of hyperbole, but trust me, it's Blair Hill Inn that is a hyperbole in itself. If you are looking for top to bottom luxury you cannot stay anywhere else.

Yelp
Perfect wedding! This was the spot. As we drove up the hill to check out Blair Hill for the very first time, and we got our first glimpse all I could say was Holy( Bleep) this place looks awesome. That was my first intial reaction of the outside on the road. As we drove up the driveway I just hoped the inside was just as impressive and hoped the people that onwed it where cool people. And guess what my wish came true. You walk in and the first thing you see as you walk into the living room is this picture perfect view of Moosehead Lake. The inside was perfect, a style betweeen modern and old. It felt welcoming, and all you want to do was relax. Which is the point if your up in that part of Maine. We then met Ruth, the owner and person that runs the show. And she was great, right there we setup our perfect wedding for us. Ruth worked with us in everyway and took care of all our needs, especially since we live in Nevada. Which could be hard. But with Ruth took care of everything from the tables to all the small things and to the very big things like dinner. She even told us of a great place for flowers that we needed. Normally you hear people stressed about wedding planning, lets just say the wife and I didn't have that problem with Ruth taking care of us. We had all the rooms at Blair Hill for the wedding party which was awesome. Everyone's room had its own personality , and every room had a view to the lake or the garden, which the wedding party liked. The breakfasts where amazing, the views where incredible. The service was top notch. From ruth to all the servers at the wedding.. If you ever have a chance to make it to Blair hill either to eat or just stop by and check it out. You should!!

Yelp
Tech veterans Dan and Ruth McLaughlin arrived from Chicago 14 years ago and have been reviving this 1891 industrialist mansion ever since. I've been coming here ever since I discovered Moosehead Lake in 2000, and every year there's a new surprise. Example: check out the new bar, which just seems to pull every bit of stress out of your body as you step into it. Perched on top of Blair Hill overlooking Moosehead Lake's endless islands and commanding one of the most beautiful views in all of North America (and I am not kidding; step out onto the veranda for a pre-dinner drink around 20 minutes before sunrise and see if you disagree), the setting is only bested by the five-course prix fixe dinner on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer, usually cooked by Jack Neal, a terrific chef who delivers the goods every time. Always great music (don't miss the summer concert series in the barn), always genuine warmth and love from Dan and Ruth, and with gorgeous appointments in every corner, this is a place that marks the high point of every trip I make to Moosehead. Go see for yourself!

Deborah R.

Yelp
There is no place like the Blair Hill Inn! From the moment you walk in and are greeted by Ruth and the gorgeous views of Moosehead Lake to the delicious five course dinners, delicious cocktails by Tunny and waking up to the great breakfasts by Dan. The rooms are all first class, immaculate and beautiful! A place to look forward to returning to.

Yelp
What an incredible inn! Every detail is perfection. An incredible staff lead by owners Dan and Ruth meet all of your needs and the vies over the lake will calm you and make you feel like you are in heaven. The meals were innovative and so so good and when Ruth recommended another local restaurant you can bet it will be great. My wife and I have been happily married for over 40 years and this is at the top of our list for romantic get always. BTW ask for room 1, as it is worth the extra $$ for the luxury and views!

Yelp
Our wedding party stayed here for the weekend and this place is exceptional. I am impressed that a place like this exists in a small town! Located on top of a hill it has the best view of the lake. The house has an old charm to it but it is very well maintained. Ruth is very sweet and they treat you like family. The food is amazing also!

GreaterGood G.

Yelp
While visiting Moosehead Lake several years ago I saw this place, I stopped in to check it out and was treated very rudely. It was as if I had walked into a private residence without permission, but this is a public Inn! I would never recommend exposing yourself to that sort of toxic behavior. This is a remote location, there are many, pick another one to enjoy yourselves. Maine is beautiful.
google avatar

Judith S.

Yelp
Dining at the Blair Hill Inn is THE BEST in the Moosehead area! It is fine dining in an incredibly beautiful setting. Flawless service and the FOOD? Oh MY! Divine! I still say BHI offers one of THE BEST fine dining experiences in Maine... in the top 5 easily. Love it!

Yelp
The best food I've ever had. My boyfriend and I did the five courses for $65 each. The wine and the food were absolutely amazing! You enjoy an amazing view while sitting down to dinner. I've had family members eat dinner at the Blair Hill and they too said it was the best food they've ever eaten. I definitely plan on going again.

Ralph H.

Yelp
We have just visited the Inn for our third time and had another lovely weekend. The Inn is simply luxurious. Each of the rooms have been meticulously updated and maintained. The common areas are warm and welcoming. After a day of hiking and kayaking on Moosehead Lake, we return to the Inn to shower in luxury. Then a drink on the porch to watch the sunset (behind the mountain and over the lake), followed by a 5 star meal. On rainy days one can sit on the porch and read while enjoying endless cups of coffee. But the best part of a visit to Blair Hill is the chance to get to know Ruth and Dan. Both are extremely gracious and welcoming. And the dogs are fun, too!

Yelp
I find myself struggling to find the words to do this place justice, but here goes. My wife and I got married here and from planning to execution, the Blair Hill Inn creates an inviting, relaxed and elegant atmosphere. In all of our travels, we have not found accommodations that we more highly recommend. Moosehead Lake is a beautiful area of Maine, with a range of activities for families, couples, and anyone looking to enjoy nature and quietude. With easily the best possible view of the lake and mountains surrounding it, Blair Hill Inn complements the natural beauty and elevates it to something like heaven. The building, perched on a green hill with beautiful stonework and several towering pines, is majestic. They could sell me passes just to sit on the large porch and enjoy the view it affords. The interior design is absolutely perfect, with tasteful, high end furniture and décor that doesn't feel dusty or stuffy like some New England inns can. It strikes an absolute perfect balance of old and new features with such thoughtfulness in every aspect. Just when you think a day at the Blair Hill Inn is nearing perfection, you will witness a sunset from its windows that is unparalleled. You also cannot go wrong with any of the rooms. Our family members booked up the whole inn for our wedding. The Inn became our home for the weekend and after spending time in each room, we didn't at any point think someone drew a short straw. Each space is different, with a unique arrangement, feature or design that makes us want to stay in it. Food is a big draw for this place and we loved all that we ate there. Our guests enjoyed lamb, swordfish, and pork loin for the wedding and every dish was savory and fresh. The breakfasts were awesome (I've never been excited over eggs until I tried theirs) and the service was, in keeping with a theme you might have noticed, perfect. What really brings the whole experience together is the efforts of owners Ruth and Dan. They are the best. Over the course of our planning they did everything to be helpful, accommodating, and patient. They are two of the nicest people we've ever met and I can't imagine such a beautiful place in the hands of better people. In summary, we will come back any chance we get. Even though it's a 5 hour drive from Boston and we may only stay one night, we know it will feel worthwhile. Stay here!

Yelp
My husband and I celebrated his 60th birthday with dinner at the Blair Hill Inn. It was a wonderful experience; both dinner and the ambiance which were such a sharp contrast with the ruggedness and raw beauty of the Moosehead Region. We felt the dinner was excellent and priced fairly. Our server, Lily, was delightful and was able to pick up subtle hints that it was my husband's birthday. The only thing that I would have changed would be that the bar open at 5 rather than 5:30 which gave us only a short 30 min. to enjoy the view and our cocktail before our 6:00 seating.

Yelp
This place is ABSOLUTELY amazing & wonderful with caring and hospitable innkeepers... A true gem of a beautifully restored and maintained Bed & Breakfast! Rooms are large and comfortable with fresh, crisp linens and everything you would expect from a five-star experience! The breakfast is creative and full of fresh ingredients. And that doesn't even begin to go into the grounds and incredible view Moosehead Lake.
