Trying to give a fair review The team was nice and quick witch was amazing I paid for extra potatoes and somehow got half of what a normal order would have… spending almost 9 bucks on a burrito and getting something the size of a golden pride burrito or less for tripple the cost is insane Blake’s has steady home down hill Nothing against the staff This is a upper management thing You go to one Blake’s to another and there is almost no consistency and it’s affecting the brand name and community that supports you Do better Blake’s brand Shout out to the store thank you for your quickness and kindness

I stopped by the Blake’s Lotaburger on Rio Grande yesterday and had such a great experience! The food was fresh and delicious like always — my burger was cooked perfectly, and the fries were hot and crispy. What really stood out, though, was the service. The manager, Angel, was amazing! You can tell he really cares about his customers and his team. He was super friendly, made sure everything came out right, and checked in to see if we were happy with our food. You don’t get that kind of service everywhere these days. Big shoutout to Angel and his crew — they’re doing an awesome job!

Excellent customer service and outstanding food quality at Blake’s Lotaburger. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional throughout my visit. Overall, a great dining experience. Homeless is an issue thank you to the management for watching out for our vehicles — I highly recommend this location

Overall a pretty good Blake's. Only ever did online ordering or calling in. For the first time did the drive through which was a bit slow, probably about 15min wait. However it was during breakfast rush so can't ask for too much. As always the bacon burrito was fantastic. However, might just be me but I think they changed their sausage provider recently-ish. Seems to taste worse than before personally.

Not sure why the reviews are so low? Showed up from out of town, had the green chili burger, wow, cooked perfect, excellent bacon coverage, cheesewas incorporated into the green chili. seasoned fries, hot, fresh, and the staff was super pleasant and they were listening to great tunes and enjoying their evening. Some reviews on here about the staff are a bit strange, it's not $50 a plate fine dining. My mouth was on fire with the green chili and I loved it. Good place to stop as most places during the week close early. I'm happy and well worth the stop if you are hungy

Service was so bad this morning (8/30) I will never go back. The girl working the drive thru was rude, didn’t say hello, thank you, anything as a matter of fact. She took my card and didn’t offer a receipt and I couldn’t even read her name tag because she shut the door so fast after handing me my card. Service is not good. Won’t be going to this Blake’s.

Walked in to eat with my husband and the music was blasting! We couldn’t even hear the girl taking our order! The fact that I couldn’t even think to take my order and having to scream on top of that just for her to hear me is wild! They were blasting music with the F word in every other sentence unacceptable! Smoking your vape in the back while making my food UNACCEPTABLE! Get it together yall need to hire supervision for the children you hire! I have video of the music blasting but won’t let me post! Also after leaving my husband immediately threw it up! It made him super sick!

This location has by far the best of Blake’s burgers. The lettuce was exceptionally crisp and fresh and the patty was cooked perfectly. No greasy meat but a well cooked hamburger. The meal is like this every time I go to this particular Blake’s.

Wanted to try a fast food restaurant that I don't have at home and this one is very popular in New Mexico so off we went. We dined inside and it was fairly clean. Service was meh but I didn't go with high hopes. We got our food promptly after ordering. The chicken strips are ok but the green chili burger was not too shabby. Def would not get the regular fries again but the seasoned fries were pretty tasty.

Every time I visit ABQ Blakes lotta burger is a MUST, this place don't miss. Food was fresh hell I've driven all the way from Denver just to get a Blake's green chili burger. You people in ABQ don't know what you got with this place!

Food is always good. The service is very inconsistent. This time the drive up window was unprofessional and did not even care about me as a customer. Never repeated my order. Very blunt and Did not even say thank you.

I just had the worse experience at this location. They had me pull up to wait for my food. Every time a worker came out to give me my order, it wasn't my order. I waited 20 minutes until someone came out to tell me that they gave my order to someone else. They said they are making my burger now. I told him I just wanted a refund that I had to go. He comes back out gives me cash (I paid with my card) and doesn't even apologize!! no remorse! Then when I counted the cash, it was short!!! He gave me $8 cash when I paid $13!! I'm so mad!! Doesn't even deserve one star!

Hatch Green Chile with bacon was very tasty. Lil over cooked but tons of flavor from all the ingredients. My Dad was raised here in NM and visiting Blake's brings back a lot of memories

Walked in with our family and were greeted with "oh great" and then were never helped, the 7 of us left immediately. The building smelled like bleach and the condiment station was empty so it seemed like they were closed.

One of the workers name Manny is such an amazing hard working young man. He's always asking if I'm ok and if I'm having a good experience. He's always on it and a fast worker 5star worker great experience recommend anyone to come.

They got the wrong order. My burger looked like they dropped Ian's rolled it in two papers. Not what I ordered. I called and never got through.

The food was very tasty and the young man taking my order was very outgoing and respectful he was wearing a yellow vest we had such a good conversation 5 star service the young man always has tables, bathrooms and floors clean great young man.

Just ordered took one bite, there is a hair in my burger. This place is not consistent I'll put up with a cold burger after picking it up only 15 mins after I've ordered which is usually what happens but hair means bad hygiene.

Best burger in NM. Service was not great, but once that food came out it DID NOT matter. Sheeeesh - make sure you get your burger NM style.

I Ordered food they didn't take my order right so i had to fix it at the window and they parked me for at least 30 minutes well i seen other people get their food before us when we're there first. So i go back to the window and they give us our food and they gave me the wrong drinks . Unprofessional.

I had their green chili cheeseburger. This was one of the largest burgers I've ever gotten from a fast food restaurant. The quality was fantastic. Upon opening the wrapper, it was a great looking burger. Like something you would see in an advertisement. I also purchased a pumpkin pie shake. They throw an entire slice of locally baked pumpkin pie in & blend it all together. I really wish I lived closer to New Mexico. Blake's Lotaburger is exceptional!

I have been eating Blake's my entire adult life. The last several years the quality has declined but today was the worst. I could get better quality from McDonald's which I don't like. Sad to see a local chain decline this way

Customer service was on the indifferent side of impersonal. The meal was incomplete, missing the onion rings I had ordered. Food quality isn't what it used to be. I had quit Blakes a couple of years ago because Stripes was sooo much better. It looks like I will not consider Blakes in the future.

very poor customer service, the managers seem to be annoyed by customers when walking in .. Taking waaayy too long take orders. I do understand about being busy during lunch time but honestly Blakes Lota burger needs to do better on customer service trainings for their employees.

Use to be the best in town. Now your calls are routed to India and the food is NOT good. Burgers are smaller, buns are chewy and my credit card number was stolen by an employee. I'm done with Blake's. Bring on In and out!

I went through the drive through and ended up spending nearly thirty minutes waiting for my order. Eventually I just had to walk inside to get my order and then they didn't even have my order ready (after 28 minutes sitting in the parking lot since they told me someone would bring it out). Mind you, that I ordered ONE SINGLE burrito and an iced coffee... we are not talking about a large order. It was a very small order. I walked in and luckily I had my receipt because they did not even know my order or that I had been instructed to wait in the parking lot spot one for someone to bring me my order!! I get that it is busy in the morning and I am willing to wait a little longer than usual for my breakfast since it was a Saturday morning and they had a lot of customers. However, nearly thirty minutes sitting in the car like a goof blindly thinking someone was going to take my order out to me (since that is what the lady at the window indicated) and to walk in and realize that I had been completely forgotten about is just ridiculous. I'm sorry, but every customer is important regardless of the order size and while I was certainly willing to wait maybe 10 minutes while they got caught up on orders, I find it absurd that I was basically completely forgotten about. Honestly, I'm positive that had I not gone in, I would have ended up waiting all day. The burrito itself was excellent. I ordered the number 8 with bacon and so at least I enjoyed the burrito I waited half an hour on. Iced coffee was also surprisingly decent for the price. Overall, I wanted to chose Lotaburger burritos over Twisters, but I just do not have time to be wasting in a Lotaburger parking lot again. I will most likely not be returning and will probably go to twisters instead should I have a craving for a breakfast burrito again.

Order is wrong again! It is a 50-50 shot with these guys whether what is on the ticket is in the bag

Was there for lunch. There were 4 customers in the drive-up and 1 inside. I was the first of the 4 in the drive-up. 25 minutes for a small order of chicken tenders w/fries and I didn't even get the seasoned fries, instead I got cold soggy fries. Thank you for ruining my lunch.

Our first visit to a Blakes Lotta Burger. 6/26/2024 About 5:00 PM. We had questions about the menu and the lady taking our order talked down to my as if she was a bad child. I will not go back.

Store 73 in Gallup provided great customer service and food when we were there the evening of June 22. I can't say the ambiance was great because the place was busy and it was raining. When we received our order, we found it was 100% correct.

I'm honestly shocked and disgusted by this, I will never return to this location after this experience. Finding one strand of hair is horrible enough, but to find a clump of hair? WTF is going on here. I wish I could say this was a joke, but it made me sick to my stomach and I will never return here again. This is unacceptable.

I ordered ahead, I'm still waiting in the parking lot 30 mins later. I ordered two combos, one lotsa and a drink....$40??!!!! Service has to improve.

I wish I could tell you about the food. This is right across the street from my hotel, so I went over for food to bring back. The lobby is closed, and they would not serve me in the drive thru. Not that they didn't see me, not that they told me they wouldn't serve me, just ignored me. I guess they are not interested in getting business from local hotel guests!

My husband went and got my sister and I milkshakes as a treat after dinner one night . They said they had just cleaned the machine but it was over two hours before closing so he went ahead and ordered them . My sister and I were violently I'll the next morning both of woke up early very sick . The milkshakes were the only think that we had eaten in common . I emailed Blake's corporate about it and they refunded the cost of the shakes and said they would look into it . I've reached out a few times to find out the results of their investigation and haven't heard a word . Normally I don't like to leave publicly bad reviews as I like to give a company time to fix any issues internally but I'm disappointed in the responses that I've received so far. Bottom line is be careful ordering anything from this location.

I was really hoping to like this place because it seemed like a really popular local spot. When eating burgers I try my best not to compare to my favorites because that seems a little unfair! So I came to Blakes with an open mind. My husband and I were the second car in the drive thru. It took a little longer than most fast food places but their sign stated that they made every order hot and fresh which I liked. After ordering two NM style burgers, we were impressed on how quickly it was made. Unfortunately, when we opened the bag we realized they had given us the entirely wrong thing. My husband had to turn around and go inside. Come to find out they had switched the orders resulting in an extra 15 minute wait for them to remake them... not too happy about that. During my husbands time inside, he observed that there were young teens in training and maybe that was the cause of the issue. When we finally received the correct order, I was upset to find the meat was very over cooked. We made the best of our trip but most likely would not return again.

Right across form hotel Albuquerque. Great location, close to old town, downtown and the freeway. My burrito with extra bacon was delicious. Friendly staff. Clean interior and exterior. Clean bathrooms and tables as well. Had a great breakfast. Thank you.

I don't know what's going on with this location. There was one car in the drive through and no cars in the parking lot and I still sit there 10 mins in the drive through waiting on my order. I finally just drove off. Every time I've come here the past year they have made you wait even when they are clearly not busy. Or they tell you their card reader doesn't work. It's more like they don't want to work. Someone from corporate needs to look at this location with a magnifying class and find out what their deal is.

I would like to start off by saying that you should not come to Blake's Lotaburger unless you have a Lot-a-time (see what I did there? :P). We thought this was supposed to be fast food, but ended up taking forever to get our food and there was only one car ahead of us at the drive-thru. Time also seemed to pass by slowly as we had just landed and I was definitely hangry. With that being said, I would say that once we got our burgers, I was satisfied with it. The green chili burgers are huge and come with melted cheese, green chili, white onions, tomato, etc. The only thing I would say is that they put a lot of raw white onions in there... so that could be reduced next time. Seasoned fries were also very good! Great first meal in Albuquerque although service times could be improved.

Terrible experience at this restaurant. So ridiculous that you can't walk into the lobby and pick up your order. Service in the drive through was so slow.

We had a longish wait in the drive through which was frustrating considering there were only three cars ahead of us, but on the plus side the burger was pretty good, and onion rings crispy and banging! Not as spicy as I expected for a green Chile cheeseburger but maybe it was mild batch. Definitely worth a try if you're not from the area!

You won't be disappointed here! Such great quality food!!!! Team is so respectful and quick to fix a mistake!!! Especially the manager Kayla! She's always so nice! My family and I go here EVERY Wednesday after my sons game! We love this one so much that we've made it a family night! Highly recommend!

Poor service, slow, kids always messing around and unprofessional. Tried to order breakfast burrito at 10:35am. They said they stopped service breakfast at 11am. ???? They said we have too many burrito orders to order any more.

Try to split these Lotaburgers because they are too much for most people. Also, it takes some getting used to the peppers. See if you like that before getting a burger to yourself. Very busy place.

Until today I haven't set foot in a Blake's for about 5 years. I thought maybe I'll give them another chance. Slow service, everything in the breakfast burrito was mush, undercooked hash browns, cold cheese. Same reasons I stopped going there years ago. Years ago we would eat there once or twice a week. Quality steadily declined, staff act like you are an inconvenience, including the managers. Years ago I had contacted them on their own website regarding and issue and never heard back.

Passing through New Mexico on a road trip and had to try this famous hatch green chile but didn't have a lot of time to stop at a restaurant. Looked up this place online and heard they have a good green chile cheeseburger! We got two "itsa" green chile cheeseburgers (which is the smaller version of the "lota" burger) and they were fresh, juicy, delicious, cheesy, and spicy burgers! Hatch chile was so good and the spice was perfect for me. It was a bit much for my boyfriend lol but he loved the burger anyway and it wasn't an overwhelming spice and went away quickly. The wait wasn't too long, about what you would expect for fresh burgers made to order. Only mistake was we asked for no pickles and they put no tomatoes instead and left the pickles on there..& I love me some tomatoes so I went inside and they gave me tomatoes on the side to use.

After the zoo, I decided to drive over here and check out what Blake's was all about. I had read about them before and noticed that they are pretty much a New Mexico institution. I was excited to try them out! I placed my order for a Lota Burger combo which came with a double green chile cheeseburger, fries and a drink. My total was just over $10.00. I went through the drive through and that is my only complaint. It took forever and a day to get my food. I got to the window, paid my money and the lady asked me to pull forward. I waited there a good 10 minutes before my food came out. I understand it is cooked to order, but this still took awhile longer than it should have. After all of that, how was the food? You are soon about to find out......... Lota Burger- I got my burger the same way I have gotten all my other ones so far...burger, cheese, chiles and that's it. This burger was pretty large! I took a bite and was very impressed! The meat was very good...especially for a fast food/chain type place. The green chiles were HOT! I loved it! The cheese was great too. It was melted American and it was so melted, it almost turned into a molten lava cheese sauce. It was great! It may have been the best cheeseburger I have had so far in New Mexico! Fries- They were fresh cut, fried perfectly and sprinkled with some seasoning salt. I ate about half the bag and my wife and son finished off the rest. They were good! Pepsi products to drink. Meh. Overall, I really loved the burger and fries. Service was pretty slow though and that counts for something. Would I come back? Definitely! It was one of the better fast food burgers I have ever had and those green chiles were hot, tasty and excellent overall. I was very happy I came here for lunch!

Great burger terrible service. I ordered burgers,fries, and shakes. Thr cashier spaced out that I ordered shakes and didn't remember th e flavor. I stood amazed a th e manager asked me if I had a problem. Rudest worker ever. She ran her mouth and I just shakes my head and left. Incompetent workers and extremely rude manager. The Lomas locationis is near the car lots and closet my house. I've been buying burgers for over 60 years at this franchise and the help is horrible. No more lotabugers for me. I live 2 blocks from this place and I might go once a year. Now I doubt I'll ever go again. I've never seen such poor service anywhere!

I guess I haven't been to Blake's in awhile to know that they changed up theirs burgers. They now serve these huge fluffy buns that are not toasted to create an illusion of a big burger when in reality their patties are thinner than McDonald's. I had an itsaburger with cheese & green chile & they forgot the chile. Definitely not the same & you eat more bread than anything.

Ordered 45 minutes ahead and went to pick up. The drive-up window had 10 cars. I got to the front of the line and although they were closed, they ignored me and would not communicate. I went to the door and the same. Stay away from this burger joint as they take your money, ignore the order and RUDE service. Plus, the food has declined in quality.

Used to be my go-to Blake's location. But the last couple months service has been absolutely horrible. There is a worker here who mumbles constantly and said my total wrong. Then asked for an extra dollar, didn't give my my change, and told me to "look at the receipt". Do not go to this location.

This is NOT "fast food." The really good thing that you will encounter at this location is that the food isn't cooked until you order it, I THINK. That's the only reason I can think of that the wait times are so very long in the drive-through. This morning, I waited for 20 minutes in line, very patiently (because I really like their current special chorizo burrito) only to be told that they had JUST stopped serving "breakfast" at 11:00 a.m. I pulled out of line and went to Taco Bell, about 2 miles away, where the food is not as tasty, but at least I could get a burrito and pretend it was a breakfast burrito. I have eaten lunch at this restaurant on several occasions. The onion rings are fairly reliable, hot and crispy, except for one batch in which the onions were not fresh. They were mushy and tasted old. Almost inedible. The french fries are forgettable, but, as with all food, that is a personal matter of taste. The cheeseburgers are really marvelous. Very fresh. And if you like things a little on the spicy side, you can have green chile on your cheeseburger. So good. The hot dogs are meaty and I don't think you can get better anywhere. I BELIEVE they are Nathan's all-beef hot dogs, a very high quality brand. I have had one chicken sandwich from this place, and it was awful. Full of gristle and lacking taste. If this restaurant served burritos all day, and if it had a more varied menu, it would get a much higher rating from me. I don't always want a cheeseburger or a hot dog. The chicken sandwich is yucky. However, if you are a cheeseburger aficionado and you don't' mind eating them for breakfast at 11:00 in the morning on a Sunday, you will not be disappointed. If I was grading this restaurant completely on their cheeseburgers, it would be a solid 4, but, as I said, I really need a wider selection. The only way I will return to this restaurant is if I am in the market for a breakfast burrito and I can get in line by 10:00 in the morning.

I come to this location quite often because I love spending my time in Old Town. Usually it's pretty good, and I'm not sure it's because of the staffing or the Balloon Fiesta, but this go around the entire lobby was filthy! Not a single table was clean and when I asked someone to wipe down my table so I can sit and enjoy my meal they gave me a weird look and gave me a soda cup with ice, which I then had to get napkins and get water from the soda fountain in order to wipe down the table myself. They also got my order wrong, I actually said I want a lota combo with double patties which should include fries and a drink, being that you say combo. Instead they gave me a single Patty Burger by itself - that seemed like it was sitting under the heat lamp for a while. I told them I wanted the meal which included the fries and the drink so they gave me another cup of ice to fill up myself, said the lids are over there very rudely, and gave me fries that were very dark brown and hard. I'm hoping this is a one-off bad experience I really do. I would like to return again - just hopefully this location will be in better shape next time.

I order ahead but the lobby is closed so I am stuck waiting for 30 minutes to get my food that is already done. Blake's, seriously, you are missing out on so much business. I am watching people come up and leave because they have come to expect terrible service from Blake's.

If you don't stop and get at least 1 Green Chile Cheeseburger at Blakes while visiting New Mexico you pretty much SUCK AT LIFE! - YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM!!!

Nora is the manager of this location on Rio grande. If you ever have a problem she will take care of you. Hopefully you never do. I love their breakfast burritos. I wish they had tortilla burgers as an option I would buy them. I cannot eat bread but I can have tortillas. I ordered the number 5 burrito which has scrambled eggs pinto beans of sausage or bacon

Apparently you can't update a review that's a year old. I outlined service issues on that post. I received a nice response from management suggesting I follow up with them directly which I did. Twice. They never responded. I went back last night. Mistake. I waited about ten minutes just to order despite there being just one car ahead of me (and one more in line beyond the ordering point). Most places take your order as soon as you get to the kiosk. Not here. When I did get to the window, it started to make sense. I could see three workers though I think there was at least one more in the front of the store beyond my view. The order taker / window person was playing with her phone and chatting with a second worker who was holding what looked like a broom or mop handle but not doing anything. There was one woman doing all the cooking. The two near me went back and forth between having their masks below their chin and having them below their nose. The order taker took my credit card and disappeared around the corner for a short while. Maybe the CC machine at the window wasn't working but it seemed odd. It's too bad. I enjoy a Lotaburger and this location is so convenient. I guess I'll have to find another one when the craving hits.
