Amazing atmosphere! The establishment and setting is very nice and comforting. Service was slower but friendly. Food was good but the mashed potatoes were not cooked all the way thru as they were firm. It’s an expensive place and you’re obviously paying for the ambiance which is understandable but I expect a bit more. Also no free rewards programs or any incentives for returning. Nonetheless will definitely be back as we enjoy the sites.

Food was okay, but the beet salad had candied pecans on it. My friend is allergic to nuts and it wasn’t listed on the menu. Our server was unperturbed. Their apple salad lists the candied pecans so there might have been a mistake in the kitchen. The fries were great. We had a 2.5hr wait time during lunch rush on a Saturday at the lavender festival. I would suggest placing your name on the waitlist early, or eating before lunch rush (10-12pm) or before dinner rush (4-5pm) when it’s empty. The bulletin board at the entrance has some seasonal menus that are out of date and no longer served, so don’t count on those.

We were here for the Sunflower Festival and arrived for lunch just before the crowd. 15 minutes after we sat, there were tons of people waiting. The burgers we got were charcoal hockey pucks with sparce toppings. A great disappointment because the fries that came with it were wonderful. It was loud, but we think it was because of the high ceilings. Also, really warm. Ceiling fans up in that high Ceiling would have felt wonderful! $30 later. I am so sick of paying these prices for sub-par food.

Simply the best cider in the State! Great place to come with family and friends. Easy to park, food is just amazing, service is excellent and the cider is always good. I totally recommend this place for a good time.

Haven’t been since before Covid (and even then was great). Came today for the brunch buffet & it exceeded expectations! $25.99 for all you can eat brunch- and the options were all very high quality! Chicken and dumpling soup, sausage gravy, waffles, omelette station, pulled pork, meatball, chorizo egg rolls, MAC & CHEESE, GIANT DESSERT TABLE featuring their homemade donuts!!!! It was so good! The Cidermosa flights were also amazing and will give you a good little buzz. Will definitely be back!

This is one of our go to places because they never disappoint. In addition to an awesome Sunday brunch, their Valentine's Day menus was top notch. The service was great and we never feel rushed.

We ate here for the first time tonight and really enjoyed the food and cider. We ordered a burger, chicken sandwich and a French Dip, sweet potato fries, garlic truffle fries plus ciders and beer. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent. We will definitely come back again.

Google
Best Saturday night experience around!! Love the tasting options, use their choices or pick your own, mix and match wine, cider or beer. Server was adorable and paid perfect attention to us. She was very personable and left us smiling with every interaction. Her name was Danni (sp?). She was great!! Prime rib melts in your mouth, salmon was perfect, not rubbery, not fishy at all. Ended with a wonderful cup of coffee and a warm bread pudding made with a famous Blake's donut. Simply divine!! Worth the drive, don't miss it!!!

Yelp
We've been to Blake's in Armada for lunch at least ten times now, and every visit keeps us coming back for more. Today we tried the Blake's Apple Salad and the Taco Salad, along with a side of truffle fries -- everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The salads were full of great textures and balanced flavors, and the fries were a perfect savory treat. Even though the staff was running a little lean, the service remained friendly, attentive, and upbeat. They acknowledged the slight delay with genuine apologies, but honestly, we hardly noticed -- the atmosphere and food more than made up for it. Thanks for another wonderful experience, Blake's! We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
I absolutely love blakes orchard. For those who haven't been there Blake's consistently throws tons of festivals a year whether it be the strawberry festival the sunflower festival or even the lavender fest there are tons to pick and choose from and I highly recommend at least going to one My personal favorite has been the sunflower festival with the sunflower jam grilled cheese I know it doesn't sound the greatest but it is incredible and I am so happy I tried it. The tasting room is always a good place to go with varieties to drink from they even have a really good food selection and it's great to stop in there and get out of the heat when it's hot summer days
google avatar

Tyler D.

Yelp
Came here to eat the day of the strawberry festival, place was PACKED to the max. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait for a table, put our names in and actually ended up only waiting 20 minutes until it was ready! Our waitress communicated to us that their system was down and all orders were backed up so food would take longer than normal, we were okay with that. But as a word of advice next time that happens they should have the hostess tell people upon adding them to a wait time. We enjoyed our food, and drinks however the waitress was constantly no where to be found. And when she was around she'd walk directly by our table and not check in on us prior to getting any food. We had to stop her and ask her for more water numerous times every time she'd go past us to other tables. During a heatwave in the summer this shouldn't even be an issue, be aware of all the tables seated in your area and continuously offer water. We also had the same issue when we were well and ready to leave, trying to find her so we could pay our bill and free up the table for another waiting party. Bathrooms were decently clean for the influx of people coming in and out that day. All in all I'd come back here, but not on a day an event is going on.

Yelp
Left of the main market. There was a 30 minute wait at the tasting room to sit inside for brunch on this Strawberry Fest Day. It was under 30 minutes wait for a table. I should have had a look at the menu. We were seated and looked at the menu offerings and realized the food options didn't appeal to us.

Yelp
The Blakes Tasting Room is always busy, but on this day it wasn't too bad so we stopped for a couple of appetizers. And it was good, staff was friendly and polite and the appetizers were good !

Yelp
I ate at the bar during a busy time and found the bartenders to be very quick and attentive! I'd definitely recommend sitting down here instead of just getting drinks next door the next time you're at Blakes. The flights offer 4oz pours for beers/ciders and 3oz pours for wines- and are only $2 per drink! You can get up to 6 drinks in your flight. This pricing is amazing!! They have a wide selection of Blake's hard ciders, about 5 different beers to try, and roughly 8 different wines on their menu - so you'll have lots of options. As for the food... I only ordered a soup so I can't make too many claims. I remember the menu seemed that for a meal you'd spend about $15-25 per person. This bowl of corn chowder was maybe $7 and while it wasn't enough for a meal it tasted incredible! TLDR: Very quick bar service with wide selection and cheap prices! Food pricing a little high for what it is, but kitchen staff are quick.

Yelp
I love this place at the holidays- they have a fun & festive cocktail menu (a small one but very good offerings!) and of course the food- the giant pretzel is an IG dream! Reservations were long gone by the time we decided to head out so we took our chances at the bar and got lucky in a saturday afternoon The Santa Sangria was our fave- and of course, the cider flights Apple Pie was our favorite cider Skip the wine flight- we couldn't find a drinkable wine- it's not their forte- but tastes amazing in the sangria! Love the service and everyone in this place- so friendly!

Yelp
TIP #1!! As soon as you get to the orchard, go in and put your name on the list in the Tasting Room. Then, go mosey around, snag some donuts, see the animals, whatever you fancy. The wait is at least over an hour (ours was 2 hours) and the only reason we got a seat is because I stalked the bar rail. Well worth it. Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 230ish. Cider flights are the way to go since they feature items not sold in stores. Burger & fries were delicious. Bartenders and other staff were welcoming and nice. Made great recommendations and made sure my food was gluten free. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Okay, so you don't come here for craft cocktails and haute cuisine. It's a restaurant(ish) attached to a touristy apple orchard with a petting farm. Once you've adjusted to those expectations, this place is pretty good! The huge outdoor patio is great in the summer, Blake's ridiculously large selection of flavored hard ciders is tasty (El Chavo continues to be my favorite), and the food is on the better end of bar food -- I had a burger and a GIGANTIC soft pretzel that was delicious (the beer cheese sauce was great). Service was slow, but whatever. I'm sitting outside on an 80-degree day, drinking a cold El Chavo and listening to farm animals make noises. Life is good.

Yelp
I've been to Blake's a few times but I've never sat down and eaten their food before. I went yesterday night with group of friends, seven in total around 6pm. The wait was about an hour and a half so a few of my friends ordered drinks which were okay. Since it's now fall season it was cold and we were seated outside. The wait for our food was just as long and it was chilly. None of the heaters were turned on so my boyfriend asked our server if she could turn them on. She said she would try but the fuel was already low. It turned on but only for a few minutes before it died out. Most of us got burgers, truffle fries, and corn. The buttered corn was delicious and so were the fries, highly recommend! Overall, I would rather come in with a full stomach and focus on the other parts of Blake's.

Yelp
Blake's is always a vibe, but the tasting room is great. You can get flights of ciders or house brews. They have rotating seasonal cider slush, cider cocktails, and sangria cocktails as well. The food? Delish. The pretzel is HUGE, but so with it. The cheese is the crown jewel dip. My husband and I opted to have the cheese curds for an appetizer, and loved them. Usually I get the truffle fries (also another must) and I get the orchard salad with chicken-- my favorite. This day I opted for the seasonal chicken flatbread and the seasonal strawberry salad. The homemade salad dressing really make the salad here! A must stop if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
It was my first time at Blake's, and something I've wanted to check off my bucket list! The tasting room has a whole outdoor patio section that is super cute. The best part was the cider flights they have, I had the harvest flight which was all the fall ciders and they were SO good. Food was really good, we got a bunch of appetizers to share between us. Service was great at the bar, as well as the wait staff. There was so many things to do at Blake's! Lunch, wine tasting, cider tasting, the cider mill, u pick flowers and fruit. I will definitely be back :)

Yelp
Blakes is a staple Fall spot for pumpkins, donuts, and of course the hard cider! While here with some friends, we put our names on the Tasting Room waitlist. We were told it'd be a 3 hour wait, and while it sounds outrageous we did it anyway. We took the hayride out to the pumpkin patch and looked for some good carving pumpkins and took photos. We were out there for around 30-45 minutes and when we were getting on the hayride back to the main property we got notice our table was ready. So much faster than expected! We were seated outside which was a bit windy and chilly but the sun was out so it wasn't terrible and they had heat lamps as an option. We ordered drinks, our waitress delivered them, and we waited around 5-10 minutes for her to come back to take an order. We did an appetizer and hoped to have our entree ordered when it was delivered. Well, it was busy, being a Sunday, and a food runner brought out the appetizers instead. No biggie except our waitress never came to check on us or take an order until after we had already finished the appetizer. She takes the order, leaves the dirty dishes, and disappears for another 10+ minutes. She returns to deliver another drink for a couple of us and we do not see her again for quite some time. We are chatting and laughing and enjoying time together but the sun starts setting and the wind is constantly whipping through making the temps drop. The fit pits weren't an option as the ash and embers were getting picked up and blown around by the wind. We ask a busboy if we could get a heat lamp from nearby since there was one around empty tables and he said sure no problem give me a minute..well he disappeared and we never saw him again. My boyfriend drags one over himself near our table and low and behold it's out of fuel. Many tables around us were also complaining and freezing and some walked out before they could get an order put in. At this point we have been waiting for our food for 45 minutes or more, our waitress has not returned to our table, and the cider mill we wanted to stop in on the way out now closes in less than hour. After trying to get our waitresses attention (unsuccessfully) I go inside to the host stand and ask if the kitchen can box up our orders as we have waited too long, its unbearably cold to eat with no heat lamps, and we just want this to be over. The host said she will find our waitress and let her know. The host came to our table right away with boxes saying the food would be out soon so they couldn't box it and we can when it's delivered. Well, would you believe it when I said we waited another almost 10 minutes for the food runners to deliver? Food was cold to top it off. To be fair, I can't imagine how any food would arrive hot with how cold and windy it was that day. But it was still disappointing because should we have chosen to eat there, it would not have been warm food. The waitress "checks in" finally as we are boxing up our plates and asks "So, does this mean you want your checks then?" No apology or anything said about our complaints I know she was made aware of. I'm not in any hurry to return to the Tasting Room. The pricing was a little expensive for a chicken sandwich and not worth all the hassle and waiting we went through. Enjoy the cider mill, drinks, and u-pick, but be warned about the Tasting Room.

Yelp
Arrived at 11:15am with a group of 12 on a Monday. Was advised it'd be a 30 min wait. 90 minutes later we were seated. Pot pie was already sold out and food was served cold. The server kept drinks filled and delivered the party pretzels quickly. Will likely not dine here again in the future. The train ride to u pick was fun. Cider and donuts a must have.

Yelp
I love coming to Blake's! There are so many different options and you can build your own flight. You have the choice of doing wine, beer, or ciders in your flight which is great if you are unsure of what you want. They have good food and if you are really hungry, the pretzel is the size of a pizza! The merch shop inside of the tasting room has plenty of ciders, cups, and cool clothing as well.

Yelp
We LOVE Blake's!! Holy smokes - we could live on that farm! They have everything you could ever want/need: a kids funland, hard cider tasting room, produce market for goodies, and a restaurant that is superb. My family and I visited in a non-busy Friday afternoon and we didn't want to leave! We had so much fun. We started at the little market to grab one of their famed cherry slushies and cherry donuts. We were not disappointed. My daughter had the cherry slushie and I opted for the apple cider one. Both were delicious but my daughter commented that the cherry was a bit tart for her taste. The donuts though - OH MY GOD. I could live on those alone for the rest of my life!! Just perfection. You need to get a dozen when you visit - just trust me. We spent the rest of our time at the funland, and it was pretty amazing. All of it is outdoor but plenty of trees for shade. There was even a little covered area designated to change diapers - GENIUS! I couldn't pull my kids away from the large jumpy thing (?) because it was so much fun! We literally had the time of our lives and we can't wait to come back. So glad I purchased season passes. We had lunch at the tasting room and everything was superb. Just all around delicious and the service was amazing (Hi, Stacy!). We had an excellent waitress who was welcoming and accommodating. We started with the caprese flatbread which was so good - just the right amount of pesto and the mozzarella was delicious. My husband had the spiked burger with truffle fries. I had the turkey panini and apple salad, and my daughter had the pepperoni flatbread. The portions were HUGE. We ate to our hearts content but still has tons to bring home. And I'm happy to report that even after the 45 mins drive home, my panini still tasted amazing :) We also sampled some ciders and ended up buying a case to bring home - if you are able to try the apple pie cider, don't pass it up! It tastes like warm apple pie but chilled and surprisingly refreshing. My husband had the coffee beer and he loved it. We wanted to buy a case of it too, but it was wasn't in stock. Next time! All in all, we had wonderful visit and can't wait to return. Everything about Blake's is awesome.

Yelp
We visited on quiet SuperBowl Sunday and had a delightful visit. Great service, and always great ciders. Pretty quiet in the tasting room leading up to close. We got a party pretzel that easily fed the four of us and then we shared three flights to try most of their cider options. This place is a treat and a must-do for any cider lover. But also some good beers and some wines for others as well!

Yelp
This review is more for the brunch than anything else. Although, I will say that we were here last week and the service was so bad we almost left. We were at the bar and not offered menus or anything. We had to get up and get menus that were left out as other customers left. We chose our drinks and looked over and discussed what we were going to order for food right in front of two bartenders. Finally someone took our drink orders and we had finished that drink before anyone even asked if we wanted to order food. We were about to leave when we were finally asked. Then the food took a ridiculously long time. And I ordered a burger and he ordered a club sandwich. Nothing that should take more than a few minutes to prepare. Anyway brunch. If you follow my reviews you know brunch is my absolute favorite thing ever. I'm definitely not a person who liked buffets though. But people race about this amazing brunch. Honestly. It was meh. There was some decent variety. But you only got the buffet. There were no omelet choices etc. I had assumed that you would get some choices. The food was decent. The ham was fatty. The chicken was good. The food was overall cold. I definitely would not recommend coming for brunch. I'm not sure what the fuss is about. The price wasn't bad. I think it's like $20 a person. But that with two cocktails and a bloody Mary plus tip came to $80. I didn't find any of it worth $80. And I'm one who is very willing to pay for quality.

Yelp
Overpriced food for the poor quality and service that leaves much to be desired. Sure you've got some nice decor and decent hard cider, but that's about where the positives end. We've hosted events here, the event planning staff fails at communication. It was a disaster from the start and come the day of there were so many things done wrong. No bar service, a server who just hid from us and a performance we were NOT notified of ahead of time. That was hilarious. So when my family decided to try Easter brunch this year I was reluctant but agreed because everyone else's minds were already made up. I peeped the menu the day before and was content with the offerings. When we got there, there was no ham carving station, no pan seared salmon, no waffles and no quiche. I was bummed because I've had the waffles before and they were honestly delicious. Instead we had some dried out chicken marsala, rock hard French toast, a prime rib carving station, overdone eggs and average desserts. All this for the low low (ha) price of $30/person. Y'all, it's Easter - where's the ham? Our server was a real peach too. She had an attitude and many times drinks sat empty and empty plates sat piled up. Also, what they fail to tell you ANYWHERE on the website is they're going to automatically charge 20% gratuity and you can't split bills with parties over X amount of people. Wouldn't it be great to state that ahead of time so all parties are aware and can plan accordingly? ... especially on a holiday weekend where families celebrate together? Crazy concept here. Gah, I don't even know why I waste my time with Blake's anymore. I'm from Armada, even graduated with part of the Blake family, and watched this entire place grow from commercialized strawberry picking in the spring and cider in the fall to the insanity it is today. The employee turnover is high here (I've got the inside scoop) and honestly there's such an obvious disconnect between owners, decision makers and the front-line staff. It would be great if Blake's got back to the old days where customer service and quality seemed to be at the forefront of the operations. Long story short, I'm done giving Blake's chances to get something right. While I know this won't hurt their bottom line, I can't justify giving them another dime. Next time we're invited we will politely decline and next time friends are in town and want somewhere local to try, we will be visiting a different establishment.

Yelp
The food was great. Our waitress (couldn't remember her named if I really tried) was hilarious and attentive. It was an overall great experience. There was a table time limit (peak season, early October) but they were kind and didn't force us to leave even when we went over.

Chris B.

Yelp
Wow - I remember going to Blake's for years but how has it changed for the worst. It could be so special but it's nothing more than a $ grab. First - Parking, how hard is to get someone to direct parking so it doesn't take 30 minutes to park and 1 hour to exit. The few law enforcement are doing their best but it's horrible. Second - let's pay 20 per person to ruin your shoes, go in some poor play structures and some dirty bounce houses. This - let's go apple picking for 40 a bag + 5 a person for a "hay ride" with poor service. You hungry yet? Let's wait hours for the tap room, or wait in a line for some 5 dollars fries. This is the most poorly run business in all of Michigan, but they don't care. There will always be some sucker ready to pay 20 to enter, 5 for a hay ride, wait an hour for parking etc, only to have their dirty play structures ruin clothes, eat the worst food in the nation and leave thankful they made it on to Romeo plank. What an embarrassment when it could be amazing. I thought Ray Gunn was bad

Amy K.

Yelp
I want to like this place, but the food is just meh. We went on NYE 2023. They had a limited menu and two signature specials - prime rib and chicken cordon bleu. My family all ordered the chicken only for it to be the frozen pucks you buy for $2 at Kroger. When I contacted them later, management begrudgingly sent a gift card but it's gone unused. In general, their food is blah each time we've been. Drinks are good and the idea is fun, but they've just gotten too big for their britches. Trying to be the popular guy but forgoing quality.

Yelp
If you are coming here for just the food....don't. Food is overpriced and bland as you can get. Service was okay but slow. Cider's are probably good but we did not try any to give a review on
google avatar

Yelp
First time coming for food. Came on a Friday morning was super busy with schools and young children so plan to have to wait. Waited about 1 hour for a table but there was plenty to do and see around. I got the crispy boneless wings, they were soo good and the waitress was super nice let me get sauces on the side of each one since I never had any sauces before. The Blake's apple salad was enough for 3 people, with great flavor. The only negative thing is the water they have tasted like well water but worse not the biggest deal, I'm sure not many people get the water here.

Yelp
Updated review! What a difference 10 years makes! In the last 10 yeara the tasting room has grown tremendously, and for the better. They now have a full menu of food and even have vegan and gluten free options. The ciders have improved as well and they have some really great options, my favorite is El Chavo and my husband loves the caramel apple cider. During the fall, be prepared to wait for hours for a table. We usually come mid afternoon, put our name on the list and then grab a cider and sit outside by the fire. On our most recent visit, it was a 3 hour wait for a table. They text you when your table is ready. Luckily there's lots to see and do while you wait!

Jessica Y.

Yelp
Tried the brunch today with a group of friends and loved it! Lots of choices, delicious food, and always delicious drinks. Perfect spot to hang out with friends every time. Left with a couple caramel apples and donuts from their gift shop so I have goodies to take home and enjoy later.

Yelp
This location is pretty far from where I live especially if you want to enjoy some adult beverages but my partner and I love making the drive coming here. Plenty of space to park, decent amount of food choices and of course the alcoholic ciders are delicious. We had dinner one night and it took incredibly long for anyone to take our order and especially for our food to come out (just a sandwich and boneless wings.) It won't stop me from coming here i always have a nice time but the food and service isn't 5/5.

Yelp
I think the fame is getting to their heads or they can't keep up with demand. We had a horrible experience. We came here on Father's Day and it was a total miss. The service was super slow. We ended up being there for almost two hours and it wasn't very busy at 6:00 on Sunday night. We were sitting down for about 15 minutes before the server came to greet us and take drink orders. We ordered an appetizer and she disappeared again for another half an hour before taking out food orders. Husband ordered a second beer and it took another half hour to come out and we have to ask again for it. They have also transitioned to cheap plastic silverware with tiny napkins, which we did not appreciate. Once the food came out all 6 people said it was not hot like it had been sitting. I was served the kids mac and cheese and had ordered the adult portion. I asked the server if it was supposed to have breadcrumbs since the menu said that and she mumbled something and said she would find out. 20 minutes another mac and cheese came out, also cold and with no breadcrumbs as the menu stated, but with unmelted and sweaty shredded cheese on top. It was also the very same bland noodles and sauce so I am not sure why it took that long. My dad and sister ordered the prime rib medium rare and they came well done with no horseradish. My mom ordered the BBQ chicken and it was supposed to come with bbq sauce and it did not. She had to ask and then we were charged for a side of sauce. The server never asked how the food was and was very disorganized. The plates were never cleared, my dad had to clear them himself. A big disappointment for what was supposed to be a special day.

Yelp
We can here on a whim during Memorial Day weekend, and honestly, it was a great decision. We got a few appetizers and I also got the grilled Brie cheese. This was literally one the the best carb overloads of a meal I've had in a long time. The service was a little slower, but the food definitely made it worth it. I'd highly recommend them. Definitely check out the menu ahead of time though if you're a picky eater as it can be quite a limited menu.

Tina S.

Yelp
A few of us came here the weekend after Halloween and I don't know if the staff is overworked, but I will not be returning to Blakes anytime soon. I do not blame the staff, management is clearly the problem, ESPECIALLY since the service seems to be even worse at their secondary location. There were different rules depending on who you talked to, and the "rules" in place make it to where things run difficult and not smoothly. TO THE CEO: DO BETTER.

Nolan B.

Yelp
If you're looking for a nice and speedy place to eat while enjoying some good cider then this place ISNT for you. Their service was piss poor. Got there at 1pm to put our names in, ended up EATING at 4pm. They had a total of 3 servers for a place that seats 99 This reviews is directed towards the horrible management of this establishment. Hire more servers!! Food was good but waiting for 3 hours for it wasn't.

Yelp
Blake's tap room all you can eat breakfast buffet is back with a price increase of 5 dollars (15 to 20)! Our families enjoyed a nice buffet breakfast on Sunday! I was thrilled to have this breakfast option back! However, they only received 4 stars because the biscuits were under cooked, the bacon and sausage were over cooked and they didn't offer the cinnamon rolls as before... Also, the vegetarian options seemed to be lacking - making the potato pancakes with meat was "different." I know this is just fairly new being back, so I hope they get back to the ways of the past. This was my favorite buffet spot. Wish they would offer iced tea... big negative that they don't!

Yelp
Food is good service is fair at best. We were there oct 18th no presence of management therefore the staff does what they want. We have been several times and is usually very good. We will look past this past experience and give it another try

Yelp
I used to love going there for the cider and live music. It was a great place to take the kids and enjoy a relaxing night. The service has been very slow the past two times we went though and the music was not good.

Yelp
Giving a one star review is generous since we didn't even get waited on. We got sat in a table in the corner of the patio right in front of the window which the waitresses and waiters put in the orders. While we waited for someone to come take our order another table got seated as well as got drinks and food before us. We sat there for over 30 minutes waiting for service. Clearly they saw us sitting there while putting in orders. Every time we tried flagging someone down they would turn their back and walk away. I used to love this place and was showing it to a friend from out of town, but I will not be retuning any time soon if ever.

Yelp
We had a reservation for a date night. Hostess was polite and seated us immediately. Our waitress came right out. We ordered a cider flight, a sangria and a water. We asked her what was in the seasonal egg rolls. She said she'd be right back to let us know. That was it. We sat for more than 20 minutes. Watched people order and get food in that time. Had no choice, we had to leave. So disappointed. We were really looking forward to a nice evening.

Yelp
Good variety of food, but make reservations in advance! They can be quite busy, especially on weekends that there is a special event going on. Not many vegetarian options for picky eaters, but I love the build your own cider flight!

Yelp
In the past we had enjoyed blakes , but in recent months it has went downhill. Tonight the garbage in the bathroom was overflowing across the floor. They were also out of what i wanted which i guess happens. Staff was ok & manager did discount my girlfriends meal..

Yelp
Went here during the day, the place was extremely under staffed. It took over an 1.5 to get our food. Also, I recommend getting the bottled water unless you like well water. The food was good but Id rather choose a different place.

Yelp
I recommend Berry Canders and the Blueberry Lemonade. Hank Gogerty liked Cherry Cordial and Caramel Apple. Dominique's recommendations are Strawberry Lemonade, Cherry Cordial, Passion Seeker and Saint Cheri. The truffle fries were delicious too!

Yelp
Visited Blake's again and I had to increase my star rating to a solid 5 star! Our dining and cider experience was perfection. Came during a Friday in March and the lent religious observance was happening - so fish it is for dinner!. I heard that Blake's had an all-you-can eat fish, so we had to try it out. I am so glad we did! The tasting room was quiet and we were seated right away by the TV bar which was great for March Madness watching. We arrived around 530p and by 6-630p the place was starting to get packed. Jen was our waitress and she was great. Service was great and she was attentive and friendly. We love hard cider, so Blake's is the place to be. Happy hour went until 6p, so we indulged in flights of hard cider. Going with a flight was a great option because we wanted to try a ton of hard ciders. We also were offered some ciders that they were experimenting with which included Cider Dazes and a blueberry cider. The drink menu is vast and has something for everyone - cider, beer, wine, and cocktails. But having a hard cider on tap is the best! My favorite flavors were Traffic Jam - trifecta of berries and the other is Great Blakes which is coffee infused - wow! I was also impressed with the food menu. I did not realize how many food options they have. Lots of good apps and entrees. However, we and pretty much every other entree coming out of the kitchen was the fish. The fish was so good! I don't know how you could eat more than the 4 pieces that come with the meal but such a good value with the all-you-can eat! Some of the best fried fish I have had in a long time. The breading was thick but not overpowering the fish. The fish was tender and falling apart. French fries came with the meal and they were buried under the 4 pieces of fish. My only complaint was that the fries had good flavor but were a little soggy - I think from the fish sitting on top. The tartar sauce was yummy and tangy and the coleslaw was a nice addition. We had a great dining experience eating fish, drinking hard cider, and watching March Madness. We also checked out the shop in the tasting room and made our own hard cider 6 pack. Blake's is where it is at!

Yelp
Blake's Tasting Room is my go-to treat for cider, beer, and wine tasting. It is worth the drive every time. They have an incredible beverage selection, and it's a great value. The drink prices are out of this world. The rose cider was only $2 a glass today. You can have small pours, flights, or full size drinks. Today I had the jamosa which is their traffic jam cider and OJ, a rose cider, and a flight of six ciders and beers. The donut stout was sumptuous and came topped with a donut. Wow! The Great Lakes coffee cider is a favorite. Their coconut beer was super refreshing. The tart cherry ale was crisp and very cherry forward. I can't say enough good things about the drink menu. It's constantly changing, and I have much to look forward to for next time. The food is equally delicious. The kids look forward to eating here. Their charcuterie plate is one of the best I've had and a great snack. The giant party pretzel is a party for the table. It's highly shareable and you will most likely have leftovers. It comes with mustard and cheese sauce. Their cheese curds and ranch are killer. Very goey with good cheese pull. The bbq chicken flat bread is cheesy and tangy. Their desserts hit the spot. The kids crave the homemade apple pie and cheese. The crust is flakey and has that nice sugar crunch on the top. They have other rotating specials, or you can get donuts and ice cream in the cider mill shop next door. The servers are all very kind. Today the place was not busy, but the service was slow. I'm not sure if it was a backup in the kitchen but it seemed to be moving on island time, so come ready to relax! This place can get very busy, and beware, during seasonal events they either alter the menu or don't serve food at all. Always check the website or phone first. The menu also changes seasonally, but we've never been disappointed by what we've ordered. Depending on when you come, Blake's has fun sights and activities for the entire family. You could totally make a day out of it. So if you are doing more than just the tasting room plan on a few hours of fun.

Yelp
Winner, Winner!! Blake's has my taste buds singing. I had the cider flight to start off with and all 5 of the 4oz samples satisfied my craving for craft beer. They've done a nice job of making this place warm and inviting. I chose to relax on the patio by the fire pit. Blake's has lots of tables set up ready to serve you inside and outside. I ordered the Margarita flatbread pizza which is made in there olde world style pizza oven. It tasted really good from start to finish. Before my pizza arrived though I asked my waitress if I could stop next door and buy some cinnamon donuts at the Blake's store next door to the winery. She said no problem and I was back in 10 minutes with a bag of donuts to take home for desert. The clean wooden and stone construction of the building is very unique and warm. It's almost like the feeling you get when you go to the family dinner during the holidays.. minus the drama! lol Give them a try and I think you come back again.

Yelp
Great food, atmosphere and service. This eatery is a gem of a find. They have a great selection of all your favorite Blakes wine and cider and they even have an awesome gift shop. The decor is adorable and the food was well presented and delicious. We started with chips, salsa and Mexicali dip. This was very good. I got the Mac n cheese with pulled pork - I can say hands down this is one of the best I have had. The pulled pork was perfectly seasoned with Blakes BBQ sauce and cooked perfectly. The cheese sauce On the Mac had a delicious cider flavor. My husband had chicken strips and fries.Their was a healthy serving of chicken and the fries were perfectly crispy. But the best part was the slaw - it was fantastic. I stopped in the gift shop and picked out six ciders to try at home. We will be back :)

Yelp
If I had to write a one-word review for Blake's Ciderhouse, I would probably say overwhelming! I've been to a few cider mills before so when I learned about this one I was initially hesitant because of the distance involved. After all, there are a number of great cider mills much closer for me. What grabbed my attention was learning about their annual Lavender Festival from a fellow Yelper. So I bookmarked it a few months ago and today was the day so we went with some friends. We had missed this year's Lavender Festival but I assumed they would still have some around. As we arrived around 11am Saturday with perfect weather, we found it was quite busy as others seemed to have the same idea. We ended up parking across the street towards the back of the parking lot. Parking was free. But it was still only about a 5-10 minute walk to the main building that had a crowded area for buying Cider and Donuts, a working Cider Mill, a gift shop, restrooms, and more. There were six of us so I bought a gallon of Apple Cider and a dozen Cinnamon Cider Donuts. The Cider was delicious and refreshing although at $8.95 per gallon a bit pricey. The Donuts were fresh, warm, and delicious and seemed reasonably priced by comparison. Once we had our snack break we started asking questions to find out what all was there to see and do. There are a number of buildings with a variety of Cafes serving everything from Hot Dogs to Sandwiches to Pizza. There is one building focused on everything related to Lavender and Lavender products. One is a place where you can taste and buy wine. As we made our way from one building to the next, eventually we came to an area with tents selling various things. We bought a small pumpkin at one of them. They have a Pick Your Own Fruits and Veggies and Pay by the pound or size. Then there is another whole part of Blake's that is more about entertainment and probably more of interest to kids. It offers hayrides and other activities for a flat price per person for the day (I think I was told $10.95) or a season pass if you expect to be back often. We did not take this option and just focused on what we found in the buildings. I did buy a jar of Apple Butter and another of Peach Jalapeño Jam which we later tasted and they were delicious. I especially liked the Jam and would definitely buy it again. Also, I must add that all of the employees we dealt with were friendly, knowledgeable, and pleasant. If your mainly looking for Cider and Donuts, there are plenty of smaller Cider Mills around. We never did find the fields of Lavender that had caught my attention initially. I was told that I would have to buy the day pass to take one of the rides to see them. As I stated initially, this place is big and can be overwhelming. Oh, and this is one of three locations in this general area!

Yelp
Incredibly inefficient seating and management of reservations... I drove my elderly mother 30 minutes to have a late lunch at 3:30 and was unapologetically told the wait would be 3 hours because they had a big party reservation coming in 2 hours. I can not believe that they couldn't find a way to seat 2 of us for a 45 minute lunch. I won't ever return-- over priced, average food with inefficient seating-- not woryh the drive nor worth my money.

Yelp
We love this place so much! From all of the amazing food to all of the cider options. Everytime we go we have never been disappointed! Now there is even more seating options outside because it has became alittle commercialized and wayyy busier each time we go! Which is alittle annoying to be honest but because I love the food and drinks so much it is still worth it to us!

Yelp
First, I do want to say that Blake's used to be a better experience, but sadly it has gone downhill. We have been going to Blake's for many years, but probably won't be back anytime soon. When we got there for dinner, we arrived to an extremely noisy environment. I am totally fine with on-site music, but the volume level was extreme and made it difficult to hear anyone. We (2 people) were the second group in line (there was a family of 4 ahead of us), but it still took about 10 minutes before we were even able to put our names in with the hostesses, and that was difficult too because of the noise level (hard to hear each other). We had to wait around 30 minutes for our table (Saturday night), which we understood and were fine with. While we waited, we went to the outside bar where my husband got an alcoholic cider. I like plain cider, but for some reason they are able to have cans of pop out there, but are unable to keep a container of their own cider out there, so I always have to go to the inside bar if I want one which is really annoying when it would be an easy fix on their end. Although it was a bit chilly, we decided to eat outside since the noise level inside was insanely high, and we wanted to be able to hear each other. Our waitress was nice and did check on us, but we didn't get plates when our appetizer came out. And when she came back to tell my husband that they were out of the special that he ordered, she did not bring a menu back with her for him to see. We normally get their giant pretzel, but they had a large price increase...$25 for a pretzel?!? I understand inflation, but it is a pretzel and I think that price is ridiculous for a pretzel with mustard and cheese. On the positive side, the view is still nice, and the food was fine. The outside area with the fire pit is nice too. But with their prices going up beyond normal inflation, and the service going down, I think that we will be going elsewhere.

Yelp
I'm sad to write this because we really had a nice time at Blake's last Christmas season for their Santa experience and tree farm. We finally tried the tasting room today and were seated quickly (probably good timing before the thick of lunch rush came in). There was a larger 12-15 table that took main priority over the other smaller tables around. Our server didn't acknowledge us at all, and after 20 min I uncomfortably had to flag another staff member down. Then the server took our drink orders and forgot to put them into the system - came back 15 min later asking us to remind them what we asked for. The entire experience was honestly bizarre, and I expected at the very least decent service for this well known brand. It was interesting that the table of 6 Blake's corporate workers got seated 25 min after us and received their food before we even got drinks....The food was ok, but not worth the poor service.
