Nice rooms, clean hotel and peaceful. Only thing is that they said that housekeeping was included once per stay. They were changing my towels every day, but they had the included housekeeping service on my last day. What do I do with a clean room on my last day? Housekeeping should have came in the middle of the week for the included housekeeping service!!!

Google
We liked our stay in this 102 year old hotel. Staff was great, breakfast was interesting & lovingly served on site in the "little pink" room. We were surprised by the $21 per person per day resort fee but Miami Beach is the king of additional fees. They allowed baggage storage before & after check in. The room was spacious with a well equipped kitchen. We were lucky to have a private patio which overlooked the Big Pink restaurant & beautiful buildings in South Beach. The Blanc Kara is surrounded by great American parks & beaches and is in a quieter area.

Google
Extremely cozy hotel in a walkable area! Awesome bed and pillows, amazing staff, and a very chill vibe. Perfect for before or after your cruise!!!

Google
Very disappointing experience. I tested positive for COVID shortly before my trip and contacted the hotel in advance to request a cancellation for health reasons. Unfortunately, they were completely uncooperative and showed no empathy whatsoever. Even after providing medical documentation, they refused to cancel or refund the reservation. Very inflexible and inconsiderate customer service. I do not recommend Blanc Kara Hotel.

Google
I love coming here, the rooms are so spacious they feel like apartments, the cleaning staff was very kind to me and the reception staff too, I hope to return soon

Google
We stayed at the Blanc Kara for one night before going on a cruise. It was a very nice place to stay. It’s pretty close to Miami Beach. We really liked that it was an adults only place to stay. Breakfast was included with our stay and they serve it in an adorable tea room. The decor in the rooms and lobby is very unique. This hotel just had a very cool ambiance. We would definitely stay here again!

Google
Take an informed decision, we stay 3 nights, and price for 3 nights only includes one room cleaning, if you need more you must pay US$25 additional. (They provide fresh towels daily) The room is clean, specious and quiet. The breakfast is good and well served, staff friendly. Only 4 stars because the air conditioning smells really bad and we didn’t know about the extra charge for daily cleaning.

Google
Nice place, friendly receptionist who was more than willing to tell us about the area. Small hotel, so elevator out of service wasn’t a big deal. Room was clean, had a funky smell but bearable. Private patio was great! Nice that they have a price list for mini bar, ice available, beach towels available. For the price (besides being charged “tax” at the front and a deposit we weren’t aware of at booking months ago) it is a very good place to stay on the south end of collins close to cruise ports.

Yelp
There are boutique hotels all over South Beach. We chose Blanc Kara based on price and location. You are a short, 5min walk to the south end of south beach and it is beautiful. Literally one and a half blocks. It sits right next door to a great breakfast location too! You are also one block away from the South Beach trolley, which is a free bus service looping around both clockwise and counter so getting to Lincoln Rd Mall or even to North Beach (via free transfers) is super easy! The hotel itself is super cute, clean, and the rooms are very comfortable. If you care to cook they have a small kitchenette but we just ate out, of course. The staff is very friendly and the desk is staffed 24x7. The bed was comfortable. Our only criticism would be about the bathroom linens, specifically the washcloths. They were super small, thin to the point of being threadbare! Upgrading these and probably the towels too, to thicker, higher quality would be a cheap upgrade that would elevate the overall impression of this place. We would stay here again so it wasn't enough to chase us away (and it shouldn't chase you away either) it just warranted a mention. Take note they do charge a resort fee per day on top of their rate (at least they did for us as we booked and paid via booking.com). They provide beach towels for that but I'm not sure what else!

Yelp
Blanc Kara truly made my first trip to Miami one for the books! From the location to the amazing customer service, I will be recommending and staying there when I visit South Beach. Literally a block from the beach and near the airport as well as many restaurants and shopping, Blanc Kara sits right on Collins. My check in was quick and seamless and I love the modern look of the lobby. It smells amazing and my room was cute, quaint and clean. Small shower but manageable for sure and love the lighting. The hotel staff was very helpful, kind and friendly. Which always helps!! And I was even able to keep my luggage there for a few hours as I had a late departing flight. Loved my stay at Blanc Kara!!

Yelp
We were enticed by the "Soundproof Rooms." This is false. We turned our tv on loud enough to compete with our room AC. Once our AC shut off we heard our neighbors blasting their tv, along with their protests. It became a thing. We left the fan on afterward to cover their noises and from where our hallway door threshold should have been-as well as the missing weatherstripping. We could clearly see light all around it and easily overhear conversations until we put a towel down. Fixtures fell off in the bathroom and kitchen several times. Ice is a bad joke. All windows were missing fixtures so we couldn't ventilate our stuffy 3rd story room. However, we had a nice view and the beach proximity was convenient. Asked for Beach towels and gear. Alex the front desk clerk said no. He later said he had towels when we returned from buying some. Asked him for more bath towels and they never arrived.

Yelp
We stayed here in February and again in December 2018. Loved it. Great location a block from the beach. Lovely, comfortable rooms. Good breakfast with good service. Elegant, comfortable atmosphere. This visit we were upgraded to a room with a balcony which was lovely. We love the South of Fifth atmosphere, quiet yet close to the action. Our only (small) complaints: 1) pillows are a bit hard, and 2) 1 hour before checkout our room key was disabled and it took two tries to reprogram. We would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
one of the most disappointing stays in Miami. Management and staff are rude and don't care about anything except there Amazon deliveries. Hotel was dirty, room had used condom and pills on the couch. We tried get get assistance from hotel and hotels.com but NO ONE would tss as lmk up us or hLeo. Packed and left immediately! Absolutely disgusting!!!

Yelp
First off, YAY to my 100th review :) I wanted review 100 to be special and I spent a very special weekend at Blanc Kara 1/18/19-1/20/19... My elopement weekend. The room we booked (1 bedroom with the private terrace) was a perfect room to host the few guests we had come down to Florida with us to witness our elopement. Honestly the terrace was huge, bigger than we expected, with two day beds. The room was also very affordable for the amount of space. There is a living space and kitchen as well. The room was very clean and there's a mini bar and snack bar for purchase provided. The beds were comfy. Walls were pretty solid so we didn't hear much noise. I highly recommend this place for any ones wedding weekend!! The staff were very accommodating as well. The location is great. There's a popular club and cute restaurant/bakery across the street. A Starbucks one block away, you can walk to for all the coffee lovers like my wife. You can also walk to the beach or take a short Lyft if you're on the way to your ceremony like us. If you're looking for a unique place to stay that wont feel like a cramped hotel room this is definitely the place to stay. Just be mindful that there is no parking. It's also an adult only hotel. Thank you Blanc Kara for making my weekend special!

Yelp
So, it's only right to update my review. They changed our room and gave us an upgrade. Thankful because the first room real bummed us out. The remainder of our getaway was great. Would definitely come back but not to stay in the first room.

Yelp
- Room was clean - Staff was amazing - Complimentary breakfast excellent - Peaceful area - Close to the beach Truly Looking forward to staying again. Was hoping to go back this year but Covid hit.

Yelp
I'm so glad I found this hotel because it was perfect for me. Its a block a way from the beach, its in a quiet part of South Beach, close to restaurants and the hotel is very nice but cozy. I was very impressed with the exterior, location, the employees, my room which was colorful and the lobby was small but very unique. I love that this hotel is for adults only because I don't want to be around bad ass kids. My room came with a full on kitchen but the bathroom was a little tight. The bed was very nice, the room was comfy and I loved their toiletries. There are some rooms that have a nice size balcony I just which I booked one of those. When I come back to South Beach I will definitely stay here because of the location, the hotel is very chic, its in a chill part of South Beach and it's about a 30 second walk to the beach.

Yelp
It was nice due to adults only hotel. The little tea room for complementary breakfast was cute. They serve waffles, boiled eggs, toast, coffee, tea, cereal etc. Front desk people was friendly. The smell though was bothersome when I got to the hallway and our rooms. It was very musty old warehouse smell. It's hard to described. We were at the 1st floor and the walls was very thin. I can hear the outside pretty well and you can hear people in the other rooms. It is a cute space for couples with kitchen and plenty of space in the room. All in all, I will still go back.

Yelp
We ended up getting this hotel through hotwire. We went during early August so it was not super busy. Room: (3/5 stars) The only real problem was the room, it was on the first floor with very bad insulation, there was a party going on in the bar next to it, and I had trouble falling asleep till 3am. The AC was also super loud. Location: (4/5 stars) The location is on the south end of South Beach, (2nd street, with not too much action around it). It is located 2 minutes from the beach. However it is located about 20 minutes walking from the main attractions: The main streets are 14-16th, so it was a nice walk to get to where the action is for dinner. Breakfast: (4/5 stars) Fresh croissants Hard Boiled Egg (1) Freshly squeezed orange juice Coffee/Tee Hotel: Has a bar, which was empty all the time (including the happy hour), but they do have big beach towels to rent for free. Parking: Valet Parking for ($30 a night), this seems to be the standard for the South Beach.

Camille E.

Yelp
We stayed in a studio room. Great location if you want to be walking distance to Ocean Dr & the beach! Biggest qualm was the electrical situation - certain outlet usage caused total power outages (blackouts) in the room or lights in areas that didn't correspond to turn off/on. They are Covid safe, easy for Uber to find, & the staff is kind & will extend your checkout time if it's an absolute must! Shower tip: If you want hot water in a studio, turn the nozzle to the very center as our room didn't have an "H" or a "C". Towel tip: Beach towels require a hotel key card exchange & must be returned by 5PM every day.

Yelp
It look like Expedia didn't put my review on the site so I'm giving yelp a shot. Stayed at Blanc Kara for two evenings in the Terrence Studio for my birthday weekend Nov 30- Dec 2. When my husband and I arrived Saturday afternoon we were greeted by a female front desk employee greeted us and she located our booking through Expedia. She continued to tell me that they tried to charge my card but it was different than the one I used through Expedia and that would be correct because our bank issued new cards due to a hacking situation. Which I explained and told her it's still the same account just a different card...offered to pull up the deposit transaction as proof but through their policy they had to refund the old account and charge the new one due to security protocol. So if I understand the card is no longer valid per Blanc Kara but you will refund it‍ Ok I got tired of the back and forth and agreed. So we go through the process which is several different papers I had to sign agreeing to the return, the new charges, etc. she goes through all the paperwork just to see the return going to the new card number anyway. Thanks Bank for proving my point along but ok now we get keys and take a very small elevator up one flight we had two pieces of luggage so we didn't want to take stairs. Go to our wonderful Terrance at this adult only hotel to learn our keys don't work!!! Ok I walk over to a room that I notice one of the cleaning staff ask for help she tells me no and proceeds to getting back to text messaging. Alrighty so I go down to the front desk and the same woman proceeds to ask do I think the key pad battery is low...lady I don't know but get us in our room. She gives new keys and nicely volunteered to make sure these keys work and it did. So the room...it's a nice size with a nice size terrance. However, the room was still slightly dusty and curtains dirty and bathroom damp it's Miami so we figured humidity. Kitchen was decent too had what you need. Now I am going to skip to the morning when it's time to take a shower...well guess what our wonderful rain shower head didn't work so we had to use a handheld option which actually hits you right in the face as you turn on shower thanks cleaning staff jokes on us. So of course I go to the front desk it's my same lady friend from before and she sends someone to check it out and guess who it's the cleaning staff lady who didn't want to help and you guess it again she wasn't helpful barely wanted to get into the shower to avoid getting wet...maybe she knows about that hand held facing outward instead of inward to surprise unsuspecting guests...YIKES! Anyway for the two days we didn't have the main shower head working asked that no one come into room unless we are present and to our surprise someone came into our room after we told the front desk staff and had a sign on the door. We know this because our bed was made up when we came back. So our wishes were ignored and our privacy....I went back down and the same front desk lady said well we needed to check the shower. Lastly, as we are leaving on our check out day we called a Lyft and our driver pulls up and helped to get our luggage into her suv and I go into the back seat and as I am waiting on my hubby and the driver I hear a loud noise like crashing noise...look to my right and a couple started to walk towards to the car because the valet sign fell again the car due to the wind. I went into the hotel to explain what happen and this time it's a different woman older who really didn't seem to care. She explained to us it wasn't the hotel issue but the valets. Which it could have been but the lady was rude. Now what I like about the hotel location mainly it's in a great Neighorhood good eats, beach and Starbucks near by. Short walk to the action which is awesome but not worth it for me to stay again. The cafe had a great employee who offered good information about places to visit and he was the highlight! We didn't eat there but he was always offering. Do better Blanc Kara because for an adult hotel a few of your staff were childish.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE! The bed was broken, the ceiling fell on me in the shower, there is no WiFi (we had to work from the library) and the staff is RUDE and do not abide by COVID regulations as they did not wear mask when they came into our room to make repairs! The lady was very rude when we arrived although she later apologized Bc she had been dealing with an upset guest .. THIS WAS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE. We complained the whole time we were there and they didn't speak to us until we checked out and said they won't do anything. Worst experience ever in Miami. PIECE OF SHIT HOTEL needs ZERO STARS

Yelp

Yelp
Loved the location! Short walk to everything. Starbucks is a half block away. The beach is one block. 5 Star restaurant around the corner. Unfortunately the beach was closed due to COVID. The room was great. The staff was also great. They did have a hard time controlling late night noise issues (yelling and slamming doors). They are offering a "bagged" breakfast of yogurt, juice and a muffin. The restaurant across the street (The Big Pink) has AMAZING hot breakfast! Huge bed... very comfortable! The mini bar/snack prices were very fair! I love the art deco look of the hotel. Very appealing. Disliked · NOISE!!! I get that this is "South Beach" over a holiday weekend. But I don't care! I expect it to be quiet so I can sleep. They was a LOT of shouting in the hallways and doors slamming. We called to complain, they put up signs in the hallway about not slamming doors. It happened the 2nd night again. Almost got into a fist fight in the lobby with a nasty belligerent woman who refused to wear a mask in the hotel lobby. The front desk clerk asked her once, She didn't comply. That was the end of his involvement. The bathroom was showing definite wear. The shower curtain rod was super rusty, chips in the white tile floor kept drawing my attention as it looked like dirt (but wasn't). A lot of dirt/dust behind the bathroom mirror. The cap for the Hot/cold water spigot was missing, and there was really nasty stuff inside. Not appealing when brushing your teeth.

Yelp
Great little boutique hotel. Rooms were quite spacious and clean. We were on the first floor and the noise wasn't very bothersome. AC was pretty quiet. Walking distance to the beach and they provide towels. Also walking distance to anything you'd want to see along Collins Ave. Linens were soft & my husband loved the comfort of the mattress. NO bed bugs, always a plus. Only drawbacks, it was kind of difficult to figure out how to work the showerhead. The shower is handicapped accessible, but I don't think it is designed very well...when I took a shower some water puddled up and seeped out the bathroom door a little. Also, they do have a breakfast which I thought was included with the room. The person staffing their little cafe, didn't bother to tell us it wasn't included until after we'd taken some food.

Yelp
This hotel is for adults only. Very quiet, clean and modern. I booked one studio with terrace. Little kitchen fully equipped sofa TV. There is few room only. This hotel is in a great location, quiet and relaxing part, but close to everything in South Beach (restaurants and little grocery store are on walking distance). The staff is extremely helpful. There is a valet parking (not free). Rooms are spacious and good working wifi. I stayed 3 nights and i would definitely stay here again.

Jay L.

Yelp
Stayed here during my recent visit to South Beach. Very chic hotel, nice front desk associates. The hotel room come quipped with a full kitchen w. fridge, nice looking bathroom, 40in Satellite ready TV and bed is comfortable. The huge drawback for me as far as this hotel though the wifi is very spotty and even with it off you do not get the best of cell phone reception here. Other than that the hotel is very well kept. Nice art design in the hallways and lobby and located not far from many of the hot spots of South Beach and the beach itself. Affordable as well and adult only which makes if you're traveling with friends or a significant other even better.

Max-Arthur M.

Yelp
The price on Bookings was misleading. When you make a reservation, they take about 90% from your card and when you check in charge you extra than the 10% due. The front desk staff is pleasantly rude and condescending. The room is decorated with cheap flea market furniture and the ac is blasting directly on you. When it's on, the noise drowns out everything. The water temperature in the shower is either lava hot or ice cold. These scam hotels pop up very often in Miami Beach and run there course. Only three rooms were booked when I was there.

Bree M.

Yelp
Loved our stay at the Blanc Kara. Clean, spacious, with little touches of luxury, including cozy robes. We stayed mid-week and the prices were reasonable. We stayed on the third (top) floor and it was quiet. I could see how if you were on the first floor it may get a little noise -- I could hear some music walking through the hallway. This is next door to Story nightclub and the Big Pink, and a Starbucks 1 block down the road. There is also a liquor store close by, and walking distance to the beach/boardwalk, and Nikki Beach. We will definitely stay again next time.

Latarsha J.

Yelp
I don't write reviews but I had to let everyone know this Hotel stay was nothing short of Amazing. The front desk was available 24hrs and made us feel like we were at home. The location was near all the best spots to visit. At the end of our trip they held our bags for us because our flight home was later in the evening. The customer service was outstanding. I would stay here everytime I visit South Beach. Thank you Blanc Kara! We will visit again!!

Tracey R.

Yelp
I loved my balcony room, Raf and the young Lady from NJ were great. Just a word of advice Don't go there early thinking you will have a early checkin, because you won't and they will use the lame excuse that due to covid they have to take 2 hours to sanitize each room, yeah right!!! But overall a good stay!!!
google avatar

AJ Q.

Yelp
An OK hotel, nothing fancy. The beds are awful as the mattress have deep indentations that make you feel like you are in a cave. The shower bathroom was dirty (mold) and ants crawling everywhere. No parking spaces so be ready to drive around until you can find a spot and pay some chunk of money to park, hey is South Miami :)

Rocio B.

Yelp
I'll begin by saying that we absolutely love staying at boutique hotels on Collins in Miami. Unfortunately this time we had a very bad experience at this hotel. 1st of all the amenities are not up to par. The Wi-Fi never worked in the 3 nights that we stayed there and we went over to the front desk and asked every day if it was being worked on and they rudely responded yes we are handling it. The staff at least at the front desk were very unfriendly. Also it was very difficult to get extra towels or extra soap. We ask for extra towels and got a very negative response. We were told to wait we had to wait for an hour. But the worst part of our experience was the humiliation and embarrassment that we Experienced when we had our friends come over after dinner for a drink at our Room. We were stopped in the lobby told that it wasn't allowed that we would have to pay extra for them to spend the night and I explained to the rude front desk manager that we did not intend to have them spend the night that they were just coming over to have a cocktail. We were treated like children I felt as if I was at a high school field trip being told what to do and not to do. I was mortified Right in front of my friends. Needless to say we will never stay at this hotel again nor will we ever recommend it

Yelp
Cute boutique off Ocean on Collins. All good just dead plants and tree on balcony which is a shame since it would be very easy to correct. Our room was nice. Just upset about not cleaning behind toilet. Hair and dirt - ick Bed was comfortable. Off the beaten path so quiet when you want it to be. Peking was really only issue that you run into. Very limited street parking you have to pay for and can only park for 10 hrs at a time. Adults only - no Children

Yelp
Exactly what we were looking for. Extremely satisfied given the price, location, and wonderful staff. You can walk to everything, there's a citi bike stand right outside, and it's one block from the peaceful part of South Beach. Modern design, interesting decor. The bed was big and comfy, and the room was really clean. The bathroom wasn't super nice or clean, but it was big and provided toiletries. Little mini kitchen with microwave, burners, coffee machine and fridge. My only complaints are the water temperature (not that hot) and the ridiculously loud mini fridge. Like insanely loud. Could hear it through my earplugs. We had bought food for breakfast so we couldn't turn it off. Other than that I loved this hotel and really recommend it.

Elle C.

Yelp
I honestly have no clue how this hotel has any good reviews at all. I gave it two stars solely based on the outside appearance and the location. I'm not really sure where to begin. Check-in in was smooth but the cafe was closed due to "the pandemic" which is strange at this point. The room we were put in on the first floor was right next to the laundry room and was one step above a hostel style room if you ask me. It wasnt warm, updated, or even that clean to be honest. The "king" bed was two twins pushed together with a blanket shoved in between and it was hard as a rock. When we complained the next day the lady at the desk said "I've never got that complaint so I don't know how to even deal with that to be completely honest." When we returned that day she had spoken to her supervisor and said she could offer us the room across the hall that they usually keep unbooked in case of an emergency, and don't book because it's next to the laundry room and it usually gets loud (remember, ours was also right next to the laundry room!) We checked it out and she immediately apologized for the smell of food and blamed it on the restaurant across the street. At first, we bought it, but after switching to that room because we couldn't spend one more night in that awful bed, we realized that it didn't even smell that bad outside, so it couldn't have been the restaurant. We thought maybe they were using it as a break room? Not sure, but also not the worst of our problems. The room was horrible. The bathroom was awful. The floor was dirty and had mold everywhere. The shower curtain was old and it was hanging on a rusty old pole. There used to be a shower door, but it must have been taken out and just replaced with a cheap, old shower curtain. I pulled off the towel and the rack broke right off the wall! There were bugs on the floor and our room never got cleaned once. I honestly would have been happier in my car if I had one. The people who worked there were nice enough and I realize none of this was there fault so I don't blame them, but I am appalled that the owners of this place could charge over $100 a night for these rooms. Do not stay here!

Yelp
I've stayed here a couple of times and love the style and space given for the price. It's in an excellent location and I love how there is a fully equipped kitchenette. Also am a huge fan of the Nespresso machine! I never make it to breakfast being that SoBe and MIami nightlife in general doesn't seem to stop until the sun comes up. Honestly, I just love huge beds, the sitting area and space to put your luggage that this hotel provides. I don't feel cramped like in other similarly priced hotels. Plus check in and check out is super quick and easy. Staff is friendly too!
google avatar

Shari C.

Yelp
Laid back yet hip boutique hotel. I've been here several times now and it's always a pleasant experience. Great location is a plus but be prepared to shell out some $$$ for parking, it's the only caveat of a great beach adjacent hotel!

Yelp
I loved staying here, the staff was amazing and the rooms were a miami dream. I need an excuse to go back! Loved loved loved!!! I'm a New Yorker that's not easily impressed but this place was a corner of heaven

Yelp
Wow! I was so amazed honestly if you like quiet this is the place to go. Andres are waiter was awesome I'll never forget him. He made everything special. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Thanks blanc Kara for an experience I'll always remember.
