Blanche Bar & Restaurant

My friends and I come here most Mondays and sometimes through the week as well! Brandon and the staff always look after us and are super friendly and helpful! The food is great and so is the atmosphere and we love the specials! Highly recommended.

The service is lacking. Only one waitress and a bartender at the time while the place was busy and a long line at the counter to order. The bartender was very chummy with the other customer and she wasn’t even serving him drinks even though everyone else was waiting to order. More like a self service taking your own food to the table. We’ve ordered multiple choice of tapas but they were quite disappointing. The scallops and oysters weren’t fresh. Could still taste the seawater in the oysters. Only the cauliflower/broccoli and the ribs were pretty much tastier than the rest. Pork belly was really dry. Presentation was not bad , at least there was an effort. Was said to be the best tapas in Karratha but unfortunately the experience and taste of food doesn’t match up.

Had a family lunch here today, the staff, the food and the drinks were amazing! Particularly Brandon, his service was 10/10 and his cocktails were even better! We even had a scare we thought one of the kids had disappeared (but she was hiding in the toilets!) Brandon dropped everything to help us look and was just such a great help, all the food that came out was incredible, highly recommend Blanche and a cocktail! Thanks guys will be back again soon! ❤️

Ordered a dish Heirloom Tomato's, mozzarella buffalo and basil. Dish was nothing more than some tomatoes with olive oil, balsamic glaze and parsley. Menu said it included basil. A key ingredient for this dish. Only 3 primary ingredients. Over priced and immeasurably disappointing. If I could award no stars I would! Rubbish. The salt and pepper squid had no salt or pepper on it!, again a simple dish that would be hard to get wrong. Disappointing and over priced for the quality.

Well the cocktails were great! It’s a shame the food was terrible. Beef ribs, well you only get 1 rib and it was fatty. Oysters, if you charge me $35 for 6, make sure I can find them in the shell. And pork belly, so overcooked and dry. So disappointing considering the drinks and atmosphere was so lovely.

We had couple of cocktails and being a Sunday was just right, service was quick, atmosphere was calm but we arrived early can't wait to see the nee Reno Next year

Totally recommend Blanche Bar to anyone. Loved the food and the cocktails are top notch. Give the Flightless Bird Cocktail a go... seriously clever cocktail that heroes a sneaky dash of Emu Export. We also tried the Long Island Iced Tea and a brilliant Whiskey Sour. Mr 15 with devoured the best Parmi in the Pilbara with an extra Buffalo Chicken Topper . I booked here on a Tuesday after reading on their website that Tuesday is half-price Tapas. Upon entering the restaurant, you're directed to order online, I then read the fine print and realised the half price is for members of Stardeck only. It's not a big issue as this is free. Just save yourself some time and sign up beforehand. Discounts are added at online checkout. Not all physical menu items are available online. This poses an issue if you're a solo diner and don't want to lose your table when needing to go to the bar to order your items. Wine is overpriced, but it's all imported, so I understand. Food is good at a discount, otherwise it is expensive! Though 100% delicious and worth its discounted price... except for the oysters Kilpatrick (unfortunately, it came out overcooked and not worth $5.90 each) The venue was lovely. Staff were friendly. Orders were prompt and delivered nice and hot. Atmosphere was on point, and you'd have no idea a traffic intersection is behind you. If you're not from South West WA, the wine selection is good. If you're hoping for alternative wines from the norm, some other venues are worth checking out (still Stardeck - Fiorita Wine bar for one). Dishes I ordered: Haloumi, blood Orange. Jospered chorizo, padron peppers. Pork belly bites, Asian sticky sauce. (BEST OF THE 5). 1 of each oysters. Wine: Salatin Pinot Grigio Berserkr Grape & Swillage Rosé

We are in the end of October 2016, I am visiting Australia for work and to be honnest these flies are really disturbing if you wan to enjoy a drink outside in a terrasse. However during evening.night, there are less so lets say that this Blanche bar is well located and can offer you various coktail and other soft drink too that you can chose. Many people are coming here as you have a limited choice in Karratha. Still I would say this is "the place to be" if you want to meet people when traveling alone, then you shall go to the other famous place in Karratha for pursuing your night. The palce is clean, the choice of drinks is large (I havent got diner there yet) and service is fine. I put " stars I shall try the food as well :) otherwize I would say it's perfect without tasting the meal ;)

Blanche Bar is definitely a cute little bar with nice, cool, ambiance and the option of indoor or outdoor seating. Service was friendly enough but nothing to write home about. Prices seem ridiculous BUT it's Karratha, which is even more expensive than Perth, so I don't think it's too overpriced for the location, though it's on the upscale side. However, the food was a major let-down for me. As a vegetarian, I appreciated that there were several veggie options on the "tapas" menu but was disappointed that I had no options amongst the more substantial main-type items. As it turned out, there was a special on tapas when we were there, so that was kind of ok. I got the bruschetta and the stuffed mushrooms...and was very disappointed on both counts. The mushrooms were almost soggy and quite bland. The bruschetta was made with a very unsubstantial white bread (sort of like the cheapest frozen baguette you could buy) with limited balsamic. Both just really lacking and maybe something you'd expect at a really cheap roadside pub but not at what tries to be a more upscale establishment. To be fair, my partner was a bit happier with his fish, the ambiance and location are good, and the drink selection looked decent (though pricey). So it could be a good spot for some, just not a place I would choose to go back to.

Great food, plenty of variety with beers, wines and cocktails and good service to match. For a regional business, Blanche keeps it a cut above the rest! Recommend.

Best bar in 1000km great tapas and good standard of service. It's a little pricey but nice to get something way better than the usual greasy spoon in Karratha 8 out of 10! Oh and good music vibe :)

The guys here are awesome. Very friendly service. Food also excellent. Would recommend trying starters (tapas) for each especially if in a large group before ordering main. Or if not in a group, can help with selection of a meal the next night. Drinks too are awesome. Great bar staff know what they are doing...

Order pork and scallops for dinner. The pork was by far the worst bit of pork I've ever had, dry, hard, flavourless, and not edible. On the plus it's a nice looking restaurant and near a hotel.
