The Bellavista is a hotel of character and chic alpine style which makes you feel at home and relaxed as soon as you arrive. We stayed four nights for a short ski break and loved the hotel, especially the relaxing bar/lounge area. Service is attentive. Spa area good. Food great. I would have liked to swim, but the indoor pool water was so cold, I couldn't get in- shame because the pool looks wonderful. The outdoor jacuzzi could do with being a bit warmer too. ||||We booked the hotel for the alpine style modern rooms but were given a rather bland, non-renovated one with no comment at check-in, which although it was large, lacked any character and there was nowhere comfortable to sit and the bed was rock hard. We asked to change to the room we had reserved and were given a room on a lower floor, sandwiched between two families, which was fine, but as it was hotel's mistake, it would have been nice to have been given a higher room as compensation for the error. It seemed as though they were pointing out our mistake wanting to change after we had been upgraded, but all of this could have been sorted at check-in, if they had been honest and open about their intentions for us. ||||The main dining room still needs renovation, but once this is done and all of the rooms are renovated, it will be a hotel, difficult to beat in Arosa, because it is a family-run hotel with attention to detail and aspires to create relaxing and memorable mountain holidays. You won't be disappointed.
