Blatter’s Arosa Hotel

Our stay was very good overall. The room is clean and comfortable. Staffs are nice and friendly (except the restaurant). The wellness area is well designed with nice view. I also like the PV panels and the energy dashboard at the reception! However, our dinner experience was disappointing due to conflicting information and poor service. The lady who provided service at the beginning of the dinner told us to feel free to change the starter on the three-course menu (she explained in both German and English. We are sure no misunderstanding at this point) Later, a different waiter charged us the full à la carte price because we changed the starter and was dismissive and rude when we tried to explain what the lady had said earlier. We also experienced other minor service issues, like a half-finished water bottle being put on the next small table and then found empty when we wanted to refill our glass (probably served to the other table next to us by another staff) for which of course we were charged; being asked to order by a different waiter despite we have already ordered. The issue is the internal miscommunication and poor coordination. We reported this to reception. She was nice but nothing was resolved.

It is a beautiful Hotel with a very nice mountain view. They are picking you up from the Train station for no additional fees. The food is also great and the staff is very nice. Although the Spa is very beautiful the outdoor whirlpool didn't work. It just said out of order. This wouldn't be a problem if we would have received a heads up. Sadly they did not tell ua at check in that the Whirlpool was broken. So we asked and they told us that its was broken for a few months now. We booked our staying about 1-2 months before and there was no warning about the malfunction. If we knew this we probably would've picked a different Hotel.

This is a great hotel, this is the second time I have stayed here. The staff (desk, restaurant, bar, room service) are all friendly and clearly committed to making one’s stay as enjoyable as possible. There is a responsive service to take guests to and from the ski lifts although it is possible to ski back to the hotel. There is also a large ( by hotel standards) swimming pool that forms part of a fitness area with sauna etc.

As in the title we were very happy with the staff and their efforts. All very friendly and polite. Hotel location is perfect for skiing and private shuttle available as needed. Good to mention is the the availability and promotion of local drinks and food. Despite we enjoyed the drinks some of the dishes were rather not meeting our taste and portion size is rather on the „smaller“ side. Sauna was fine as well as steam bath but not easy to find. Pool is for the kids - was not really inviting. Some areas could accept a little renovation especially the carpet.

It's a beautiful hotel with a friendly staff. The mountain view from the balcony is exceptional and the rooms are also very nice. Just the Wifi could be a little bit better, but that could have been a temorary issue.

With this hotel I have few problems. We were there as professional association annual meeting guests. Our backoffice negotiated price which was actually higher. Why not if... WiFi had never worked, we experienced one affair when staff shouted to our member daughter because of staff fail, no parking slots for disables (me), in caused not necessary walking to different parking plaxce, because of lack of parking slots around the hotel. Some of our members were disappointed with dinner and price. Still I'm not sure about right final bill. On the opposite, staff was nice, willing, most of them. Cleaning, I don't need fresh towel every day, for 4 nights, one set is ok, I consider environment and sustainability, every evening pressure to allowed cleaning was... at least not necessary, in the end unpleasant. Why restrictions for children in sauna if they are accompanied by parents, I don't know. I'm responsible grandad, I don't need hotel to tell me who, why and when. May be more...

Awful Experience – Avoid This Hotel! This hotel is nothing like what it advertises on Booking or website. We booked a “Superior Double Room South Side” with a big window and mountain views, but got a depressing room with small window and a view of dead trees. When we asked for the room we booked, the administrator rudely dismissed us, saying the hotel is 120 years old and rooms vary. The restaurant was equally disappointing. This hotel is outdated, overpriced, and poorly managed. We left much earlier. Don’t waste your time and money!

Great location and super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good (to keep us fuelled for skiing) and dinner was great too (both the a-la-carte and the raclette). I liked the outdoor hot tub, it's a nice experience, with the snow all around. The bus to the ski slopes worked perfectly and the ski room was good and had boot heaters. The bedroom was nice, quiet and comfortable. I thought the water pressure in the shower could be a bit stronger, though. Overall a great experience.
