Blausee Hotel & Spa

We totally enjoyed our stay! The ladies we met were all exceptional! Beyond and above! The Asian lady was extremely considerate and helped me so much when needed! They are all so proactive and think for the guests for all details, like bringing toys and provide earlier meals! We loved our stay!

Our family discovered this absolutely amazing place in summer and we booked our stay for this autumn, for a weekend. It was a wonderful experience! The receptionist Monique was very friendly and helpful. The view around the lake in the autumn time is breathtaking. We will be back, maybe next time during the winter.

Fire that incredibly rude Asian receptionist lady. She is incompetent, makes you feel incredibly unwanted and unwelcome, and she is a sore pimple on the image of this hotel. The hotel has a lot of potential and one could ignore the shortcomings provided the welcome was pleasant and warm. That lady is unprofessional: she barked at us for requesting 3 keys for 3 adults, with a snide remark that she thought we would stay together, and then she screamed us out of the spa when we had just entered with our 3 year old daughter. I can understand the policy of an adults only spa, which was *not noted* at the reception, nor at the entry to the spa, nor anywhere in the documents received, nor communicated to us. But one can tell this information on a normal and pleasant tone, not scream madly at us and frighten our daughter and completely destroy our weekend from the get-go. We had come here a few times to eat before, always spending lavishly and we were looking forward to staying a few nights as well. But we will * Never * again come here and I will not recommend the hotel to any of my friends and colleagues. There are plenty other friendlier hotels to spend a fifth of my salary for a weekend, because this place is not cheap, but a tourist trap. However, the restaurant is more pleasant, and some waiters can be kind and attentive (tall, thin man with glasses in his 50s comes to mind), and the location itself is pretty and calm.

This is my absolute favorite place for a 'timeout' or to get away for a quiet writing weekend. I've stayed all over central CH, in Luzern, Oberland, and Mittelland, in 3+ & 4-star/spa hotels - and Blausee is the BEST. I keep coming back It's true that during the day, when the buses arrive, it can get busy. But all you need to do is walk up the trails, and the noise disappears. The hotel is small & cosy. The best are the breathtaking views even in rain & fog. Staff are super friendly and genuinely love the 4-legged guests, too. The spa offers many options for relaxation. The Postbus only connects once per hr, so you need to plan, but Oeschinersee, Suunbuhl, and many other off-the-beaten-track hiking options are available.

I am writing this public review because management ignored my direct email regarding a serious incident. We visited the Spa, but the sauna was cold and amenities were not working. We called to report this, and a receptionist along with a staff member named Inga came to speak with us. Instead of apologizing for the broken facilities, she launched a xenophobic attack. She explicitly compared nationalities, stating that "Ukrainians are better" and that "Russians just want money back." It is absolutely unacceptable to bring personal political views and hatred into a professional hospitality setting. We were guests who paid for a service, not participants in a political debate. The fact that management has not replied to my formal complaint suggests they condone this discriminatory behavior. Avoid this place if you expect professional treatment.

Amazing hotel! I stayed for one night. Breakfast was restaurant style and they had a large variety of food to order. The spa is included and was much needed, I got to enjoy the spa even after checking out and I ended up canceling my plans for the day to enjoy the spa and park instead. The lake was absolutely gorgeous with trails all around. The only reason I give the room itself a 4 is because I could see people outside of my bathroom window , but the room itself was good! Overall my only regret is not staying longer!

A lovely place. The setting is idyllic, the staff is absolutely lovely, the food is tasty. The only downfall is, it could be a bit more quiet. In the morning, we could hear the music in the dining from our room, but the staff were very nice and dimmed the volume. The scenery is like a postcard, an we thought it was a natural reserve and we could have a calm time, but the lake is crowded with tourists. The spa is great though, and it makes it up for it.

5 stars! What an amazing experience at the Blausee hotel surrounded by this beautiful nature. Thank you for their little attention with the room, we were not expecting that at all !!! We had a really good time exploring the woods, and enjoying the bbq area! The food at the restaurant was delicious, their trout was fresh and flavourful and the breakfast was delightful as well.
