This was the highlight of our eating ventures in Barcelona. The kindness of the staff and the care they took with both food and service were exceptional. This restaurant is tiny and a jewel. You will receive the full attention of the owner and assistant. We chose to have them select our meal, which was delightful. Our favorite was the pork tenderloin followed closely by the eggplant and delicious lemon pie. Highly recommend!

Google
Hidden Gem in Barcelona Blavis is truly a one-of-a-kind restaurant! With only four tables, it offers an intimate and personal dining experience unlike anywhere else. The two chefs not only prepare the food but also serve it with passion, explaining every dish in detail. Their warmth and enthusiasm made our visit extra special. The carpaccio de berenjena was so delicious that we ordered it twice—it was packed with flavor and perfectly executed. The ceviche de langostino was incredibly fresh and citrusy, an absolute standout. The artichokes were also fantastic. The only dish we wouldn’t reorder was the Kimchi wings, but everything else more than made up for it. And then there was dessert—the cheesecake was hands down the best I’ve ever had! Creamy, rich, and absolutely perfect. If you’re in Barcelona, book well in advance because this place is small and fills up quickly. It’s worth the wait for an unforgettable dining experience!

Google
Just amazingly good food. Really well executed dishes. As a foodie this met all my expectations even having been to some top restaurants globally. The quality of the food, flavours and the balance is as good, particularly given the great value. The atmosphere is laid back and enjoyable. The service is also super friendly. I would highly recommend

Google
The service and ingredients are both excellent. We really enjoyed the salmon tataki and the eggplant carpaccio. The croquettes were very rich, a little too liquid on the inside, and not warm enough. The patatas bravas were fine - nothing to write home about. The restaurant is very small and compact, which can feel very intimate if you’re the only party in there.

Love everything about this restaurant. From the hospitality to the food. Very intimate only have 6 tables so reservation is highly recommended. Thanks Pablo for looking after us.

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at a remarkable restaurant with a single chef and a single waiter, who somehow managed to provide exceptional service. We went early to a busy crowd)! Despite the chaos, the food was truly outstanding. We enjoyed a sharing menu with 8 delicious sharing items, starting with the eggplant carpaccio, which stole the show. The pan con tomaquet paired perfectly with it. Other highlights included the langoustine ceviche with incredible sauce, the bikini sandwich, and the potato bravas, which were beautifully cooked with top-notch ingredients. The caprice and kimchi wings were also great, with the kimchi balanced to suit all palates. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant multiple times to experience the full range of their offerings. Kudos to Paco and the chef for their exceptional culinary skills and dedication!"

Google
Consistently incredible dishes. Like, wow. Best meal we had in Barcelona. Such an intimate, authentic space. It seats about 14 people. The owner waits your table and he's charming. You'll want to return again and again. Go here, right now!

Yelp
The most amazing meal I have ever eaten. And the service is the icing on the cake. If you add in Barcelona and you don't go here, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! You need reservations so make sure to call ahead. It is truly an experience and every single part of it is incredible.

Yelp
I was only able to post pictures of the end of the meal because everything was so good that we started eating right away! This is a very small place I believe ran by family members! They were able to accommodate me and my friends (party of 6) on a Thursday night. We literally almost order one of everything! All the food that was brought out was freshly made! It was Tapas style so it was small portions meant to be shared. For the quality and amount of food we ate and the amount of wine we drank when we received the bill I was surprised as how affordable it was. If you are in Barcelona, Spain check this place out you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Blavis is an incredible dinner spot that showcases amazing cuisine and genuine hospitality. Everything we ate was incredible and the service was excellent. Well done, Blavis

Yelp
Amazing restaurant, owner really made us feel welcome. Can't wait to go back once we are in Barcelona again!

Yelp
I'm not a picky eater but this was probably one my best culinary experiences. Can't find a single issue to complain about. 5 stars all around. Reserved almost 2 months in advance, it's definitely worth the wait. Best believe all the positive reviews. On a solo trip right now and still enjoyed the experience very well. Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. Paco took care of the reservation and greeted the guests and knew the names. Only few tables available (5~6 tables/ no more than ~16 guests at a time) I was recommended to get half portions since I were dining by myself, in order to try as many items as possible. Enjoyed every bite. taste, quality and presentation, everything were top notch. Paired beautifully with a recommended red wine.

Yelp
This was the best meal I had in all Europe. The place is small and modest with incredible service. We had a lot of dishes and everything was beyond my expectations. My favorite dish was the pork with curry, the meat was so tender and flavorful. I highly recommend this place, I would fly back just to eat here again!

Yelp
Stop what you are doing and call this place right now to make a reservation! I booked this place 2 months before we arrived in Barcelona for our first night. Even 2 months out, they only had a 1900 slot open on a Thursday night. When we arrived, we were graciously greeted by Paco. My boyfriend doesn't eat pork or seafood so I thought this would be difficult in Barcelona, yet Paco offered so many options! He even offered a half portion of the seafood dishes I got so we didn't over order. We were stuffed after 6 tapas but made room for the chocolate lava cake- I'm so glad we did. At the end, Paco was nice enough to give us recommendations of where else to eat. All the other reviews about this place are right on. This place is a gem. Great customer service, great affordable food. Just find yourself fortunate to stumble upon it.

Yelp
This is an absolute must! From the moment you walk in, you feel right at home. Welcoming staff and simple but tasteful interior create the ambience of a flute melody. The food... oh the food... I recommend you try as many tapas you can as it is impossible to go wrong with a selection of perfectly crafted and deliciously balanced dishes. I only took two pictures, but all dishes equally picturesque.

Yelp
This place has remained in my dreams. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The concept and the execution, of not only the food, but also the service, is spot on. There is nothing that could be done to improve this place. The food - 10, the service - 10, the wines - 10. Perfection. It was the best meal I ate in Spain and easily in the top 5 meals I've eaten in all of Europe. Please don't change a thing. I hope to go back one day and experience this lovely little slice of heaven once again.

Yelp
loved everything! from the service to the amazing tapas. save room for the lemon pie and bring cash. my favorite!!

Yelp
We toured Spain looking for rooftop restaurants and bars. We happened upon this lovely place and were lucky to get a table. I will say it was one of the best dinners I had in our two weeks in Spain. I had the tuna, which was delicious and unlike anything I had ever had in my life. The view is spectacular and the drinks creative. I highly recommend this

Yelp
Incredible food, service and ambience. What a meal. Paco and Mark are quite a team in the kitchen and dining room. Make a reservation far in advance. You will be delighted.

Jean A.

Yelp
A small and modest looking place with amazing food. You can tell that the owners/chefs love what they do. Every dish was made to bring out the flavors "just so." They will accommodate special diets-vegetarian, gluten-free-incredible. Make a reservation as they only have 4 tables!

Yelp
This was the best dining experience I had in Barcelona. It felt authentic and intimate. Paco was so friendly and kindly explained the menu to us. He ensured that we had a relaxed experience. The chef takes great care to prepare the food perfectly and they truly see food and dining as an art form. I loved the eggplant carpaccio best! The steak tartar and the pan con tomato was excellent. Make a reservation in advance!

Yelp
***Best Foodie FOOD experience in BCN***This place is a must visit. There's room for 12 only and it's all inside. Cute place but it's about the food, not a big show or being euro-decadent. It's straight up fine crafted tapas and international dishes with fresh ingredients served by a knowledgeable staff. I will return. Book a reservation ahead of time! The pork is some of the best I've had, texture and flavor. Must get the eggplant carpaccio and the desert that is a Spanish bread pudding. Ask for local white wine.

David M.

Yelp
Small room with big flavors. We felt very fortunate to find this gem. Mark and Paco made us feel welcome. They described each dish with detailed passion. They recommended perfect wine pairings from the region. Each dish exceeded their descriptions. We had salmon tataki, shrimp cerviche, grilled Iberian pork, asparagus romesco amongst 10 dishes total for 3 people. Wow what flavor. They wrote out daily specials in English for our table based on our reservation. Very special and memorable meal in Barcelona!!!

Yelp
What an exceptional meal. It's wild to think they can do two services with just two people. All of the food we had was thoughtful and meticulous. Great ambience, great selection of drinks, and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients in every bite. Their eggplant carpaccio was outstanding, as was the salmon belly, and cochinita pibil. The bill ended up being incredibly reasonable for five people, considering we had two bottles of wine and seven courses. I won't return to Barcelona without making a reservation there.

Yelp
If I could give 100 stars I would. This was quite possibly the best food I have ever had. The waiter was so accommodating and pleasant explaining what each dish was and giving his recommendations. The food was breathtaking. Light and delicious plates from all around the world. Just amazing food and an amazing place. FYI You need to make reservations to go here pretty far in advance. Their menu has some set classic dishes but half the menu changes every week. It is just stunning.

Yelp
I can't even begin to describe how good our meal was, so I'm not going to waste a ton of words trying. Here's what I can say: 1. Paco was fantastic and we felt like VIP guests (as I'm sure everyone else did). 2. Wine options were perfect and not too expensive. Ask for recommendations. 3. Everything was delicious. Every single thing. If your stomach can handle it, order the entire menu because you'll be sad about what you don't have. 4. Mentally prepare yourself for the experience of eating at Blavis beforehand. Be open to new flavors and foods and take your time enjoying each dish.

Yelp
This restaurant is by far the best place we dined at during our 2 week visit. 6 tables, adorable place. The owner had to turn away...come on people, it's the #2 rated restaurant in Barca...make a reservation! The service was impeccable and you can really tell the server (only other person in the place is the chef) really cares about the food they serve. We ordered small plates to share and it was incredible. -Leeks with romesco sauce...great texture and the red sauce was great with it -Vietnamese sammies - I am Viet and these made me think of my mom. How fantastic, the bread, pickled veggies and pork were all perfection...the harmony they have achieved and up leveling the very basic banh mi...my mind was blown -salmon tataki - was the best salmon we have ever tasted...it was sweet and sour with pickled cucumbers and we were fighting over the last bites -eggplant - so thinly sliced like carpaccio with cheese and balsamic..to die for -steak tartare - crispy baguette bread was served with the dish and tartare was excellent, not overpowered with too much seasoning or spice, pure and lovely We are so happy that we made a reservation here - it was a perfect ending to our last night in Barca.

Yelp
GUYS GO HERE (you need a reservation) BUT GO HERE ! The potato bravas is to die for ! We also had the roast beef and the pork honestly everything here is so good ! The guy is SO polite people came in without reservations and he wasn't rude he actually took out a map and gave them recommendations for food elsewhere . Pure joy, good vibes, amazing food. Best food I have in Spain hands down !!!!

Yelp
We had the good fortune to dine at Blavis while in Barcelona. It was the best meal we had during our time in Barcelona. The place is small and has 6 or 7 tables. It is charming and the food is incredible. Paco runs the front of the restaurant and Mark cooks in the back. Every dish we had was delicious. We heard about this place through a podcast. Definitely exceeded our expectations! Paco is the best! If you have the opportunity, make a reservation and enjoy this hidden jewel. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Blavis is a hidden gem outside the touristy part of city of Barcelona but those who have made it to this place have been given it enough credit to become the number 2 restaurant of Barcelona on TripAdvisor. Reservation is required for this small hole in the wall- 14 seating restaurant. We were lucky that someone had cancelled an 8 pm reservation (try to send them a message via their Facebook). We got the L2 metro lane from Las Ramblas and 20 minutes later we were at the door of this garage like place. We were greeted by Paco (whom I respectfully I like to call our journeyman!) and all the dishes were delivered by the chef who was Peruvian. Extremely intimate vibe, as Paco went over each line of menu. The menu consists of a classic selection of tapas and a seasonal part that changes from time to time. It give options to vegetarians, meat and seafood lovers and introduces you to tapas style dishes with Spanish, Mexican, Peruvian and Asian influence. We were the first party to arrive and as the tables started to fill one by one the vibe of an intimate surrounding started to build up. Paco recommended a great wine (Tempranillo). For the start we wanted a simple salad and chef conveniently managed to prepare it off the menu! Each dish was prepared with great care and presented delightfully. Even though Paco suggested that 4 tapas would be enough for the 2 of us- the dishes were such a unique experience that we went of ordering one after another! The grilled octopus on a bed of mashed potato, veal cheeks that fell apart on your first attempt, a marinated raw fish crudo (Peruvian and Japanese influence of the chef), crab burger on a mille feuille crusty bun, an open taco style topped with shredded pork and avocado and broken eggs and cheese on top of potato fries were part of our culinary experience. Even though we really didn't have any more room, but we finished off with a tiramisu and vanilla ice cream (we really could have eliminated this part!). Our bill for 7 Tapas- one bottle of wine and one more glass of wine and 2 deserts came up to: 103 Euros- compare to any culinary experience indeed a bargain. Blavis lives up to its reputation in a big way, great food- top notch intimate service and very reasonable price- what else one can ask for?

Yelp
A delightful intimate setting and our first dinner experience in Barcelona. Make reservations in advance and eat here! The tapas here were unique and exquisite! Paco and his staff are passionate about their dishes and will happily explain their origins. He is also a perfect host You can tell he loves his job.

Yelp
We went to Blavis about a year ago and it was the most memorable foodie experience I've had in Barcelona! Paco was super attentive and accommodating. We felt like we were being pampered! He explained all the dishes to us when he brought the dishes over and everything was so amazing. Definitely try to make a reservation because when we were dining, a lot of people tried to walk-in but because it is a small place, they were turned away. This was a great intimate foodie experience, I have been recommending it to all my friends who visit Barcelona! Thank you Blavis!!!
google avatar

Spencer B.

Yelp
Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Barcelona. I've ate at "Disfrutar", "Tickets", and various other highly regarded restaurants in Barcelona and this place is right up there with all of them in terms of service, taste and quality of food. It doesn't have the presentation and plating of a Michelin restaurant but thats not what this place is about. They're all about the food here and the passion that Paco exudes for his craft clearly shows that. Lovely wine recommendations from Paco all night that paired magnificently with the food. Extremely fair prices might I add. You must eat at Blavis if you're a true food lover and want an amazing one of a kind dining experience. Reserve in advance to ensure as they are constantly fully booked.

Yelp
Just to reconfirm what others have said before. Blavis is a little out of the way, but the care put into the selection of food (and wine) is second to none. Unpretentious, hole-in-the-wall it may be, but the food is superb. We had a fabulous meal for two with 5 tapas choices, plus great wine and dessert for €80. It is becoming, or has become, famous. Book well ahead! Credit cards (master and visa) accepted.
google avatar

Yelp
I cannot tell you the level of serice and attention the team here gives. Paco was so so nice and understanding when we had plane issues. that itself combined with ALL the food reviews on here make this place a must visit. Great people, regardless of geography can elevate the dining experience from good to great.
google avatar

Anthony H.

Yelp
Such an excellent and personable experience at Blavis! Oh! The food was spectacular too!

Kenzie G.

Yelp
This is the best restaurant in all of Barcelona. Paco is an absolute sweetheart and I am so glad I made reservations here for my mother and I. It made our trip! Thank you again Paco

Seeta A.

Yelp
This was our favorite restaurant in Barcelona. The vibe was chill, the location was so cute and the server, Paco was so nice and passionate about food. I think this is one of the best places I have ever eaten for the price. It's tiny, you MUST make a reservation or you will be bummed out. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It's a little out of the way but so worth it. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation and enjoy! Save room for dessert!

Lily A.

Yelp
Wow, one of the best meals. Very hard to explain but the feeling you get in this small and amazing place is hard to describe. The food is absolutely delicious and a good value. The wines are wonderful. But the service is just beyond. Such a special experience. I also loved wandering the neighborhood. They book up quickly so make sure to make a reservation ahead of time (I had no trouble booking via email). I am so thankful for this experience while in Barcelona!

Renee G.

Yelp
The ultimate must visit restaurant in all of Spain. Their reputation is earned with every delicious dish. We were extremely lucky to have gotten a reservation 1 month before our travel to Barca ! They are booked months in advance and worth adding to your schedule! Thank you for the memory

Sophie B.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant! Waiter spent lots of time carefully explaining the items on the menu, and gave fantastic recommendations. Waiter was also very friendly and polite. I also liked the unique tastes of the foods, and the variety of options on the menu. I would highly recommend this place. :)

Leonard G.

Yelp
Just had a fabulous, creative, delightful, and wholly reasonably priced dinner at Blavis. The offerings were original: tapas often with an Asian influence. Super friendly service that was intimate, English-friendly, and good-humored. Most highly recommend despite its obscure (not scary) location.

Karen L.

Yelp
A perfect meal: fresh ingredients prepared in an original style. A fusion of Latin & Spanish flavors. Wonderful ambience, super friendly & helpful staff/owners. They let me order half portions so I could try more items, & explained what things were. I got There early so that I could get a table because other reviews mentioned the small number of seats. This let me talk with the owner who recommended certain dishes and describe the wines & was super helpful. Great place, great food, great ambience, great people. I totally recommend this. five out of five!

Sherri H.

Yelp
Read about this place a few months prior to our trip and made a reservation, hoping for the best. What a lovely experience...tiny restaurant, fantastic, lovingly-made dishes brought to us by the two men who spent the hours prior hand-selecting each item and preparing them for a few lucky guestt. Everything was delicious - the shrimp ceviche made my eyes roll back into my head - and we enjoyed each bite, including dessert. Very, very reasonably priced to boot. Plan ahead and treat yourself to a meal here!

Humphrey S.

Yelp
Very nice people. Very good food. Nice drinks. They offer e fiew things but those are good!!!
