Nice hotel in a great location. Overall we had a nice and relaxing time and would definitely consider going again. Two reservations I had were: (1) the pictures of the rooms are not really a fair representation of what most of the rooms look like. That being said, our room was overall nice and pleasant. (2) the prices in the restaurant were extremely high and although the food was generally good, there were corners cut that one would not expect at anything like this price and desserts were inferior. Most shocking were the extraordinary mark ups on wine. Where I was able to compare, prices were at least 5x retail and sometimes over 7x retail, which I have never seen before and leaves a bad taste in one’s mouth, so to speak.

Die Bleiche Resort & Spa is a luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of Spreewald, amongst navigable canals and forests. The whole complex is very beautiful and very large with lots of indoor and outdoor spaces. Every space is very nicely decorated but we had the impression that only a part of them was actually used. Our four-night stay was amazing. The breakfast buffet was rich and very good, followed by excellent dinners offering a different menu every day. We particularly enjoyed the Wurst and Käsekammer, two compact rooms offering dinner guests a wide range of gourmet salamis, hams, and cheeses along with salads. This was in addition to the 3 courses menu included in our package. The staff all over the complex was excellent. They were all very skilled professionals and always very attentive but also friendly and welcoming. Just a couple of constructive criticisms - our room, for instance, lacked air conditioning which made it quite hot during the nights. Although opening the massive windows did alleviate the heat, doing so attracted a swarm of mosquitoes and bugs, given its location in the wetlands. Installing mosquito nets could be beneficial. Additionally, the implementation of explicit guidelines in the Landtherme area was lacking and left us in a confusion whether nudity was permissible in the pool or strictly limited to the saunas. A clear directive on what's allowed would be highly appreciated. Maybe doing it "Textilfrei" in the whole Spa area like in most Germans spa would be better.

Spend two days there and I can honestly say that you will mostly be paying for the location, the garden and accommodations look lovely but that’s about it. There’s only one option for food, despite what the website makes you believe, and is ridiculously overpriced (100 euros for a five course menu, buffet salad and self serving cheese included as two of the courses, food was very basic, far from gourmet they advertise for). They stopped doing “a la carte” after covid but forgot to specify it on the website. Disingenuous description of the bedrooms and very uncomfortable bed and pillows. Advertises for WiFi but it’s only available at reception. On top of a service that doesn’t match the expectation you would have for a 4/5 star. Very overpriced experience overall

the room and spa was wonderful, we admired the atmosphere created, the silent luxury. But unfortunately we had a very insulting and disappointing experience in the restaurant, full caos of pricing. We paid 6 euros for a 0.2 ml red wine the first night and 12 euros for the same wine next night. We were allowed to order and pay alacarte the first night but we were charged 102 euros fix price per person plus additional all the alacartes the second night. No explanation , we have written to the customer service our irritation, no answer.

This is a very "chill" hotel in the Spreewald. It’s hard to fit it into a specific category because it’s just so unique!||The food is excellent—absolutely no complaints there! They source their cheese from Maître Anthony, the Rolls-Royce of cheesemakers, who supplies the palaces of Monaco and England, as well as many celebrities… The only downside here is the other guests, who sometimes don’t know how to properly serve themselves and end up ruining the cheese—lacking a bit of etiquette...||As for the criticisms about the Wi-Fi: sure, not having internet access everywhere in 2024 can be "inconvenient." But honestly, why come to a place like this if you’re just going to be glued to your phone? In my opinion, it actually encourages you to disconnect, talk to other guests, relax, and take a break… and avoid disturbing others with phone calls, etc.||The hotel caters particularly to families, with outdoor games, large areas for playing ball, a pool, and even a sauna dedicated to kids—whereas in other hotels, children often face restricted hours or aren’t allowed to swim at all. I think the hotelier understands that today’s children are tomorrow’s customers! Of course, there are also quiet areas reserved for adults. Plus, there’s a cinema that shows movies for all generations.||What’s interesting is that this hotel is not only popular with regular guests, but also attracts multiple generations of families who come here together.||The hotel has a laid-back, cultural vibe, with antique and art objects in every corner, books scattered around, and even a bookstore...||Regarding the price, yes, it’s on the expensive side, but it’s up for debate. The half-board is included and of high quality. Additionally, the wine list is really impressive and varied!||In summary, sure, there are a few areas that could be improved, but hats off to the long-standing staff who sometimes have to deal with “unusual” remarks and behaviors from certain guests… Their patience is incredible!||To conclude: this is a hotel where you feel at home, and it’s frequented by many regular guests, as well as by families spanning multiple generations, which is a pretty good sign. The guests here come with a certain mindset and philosophy—you either get it or you don’t…

No AC. Some rooms have windows with screens. Some don’t and mosquitoes can be bad. Standing fans. Huge room - large sitting area. Room safe. No iron. In room coffee maker. Combo shampoo/body wash- no conditioner. Well lite. Hair dryer. Tub and shower. Dual sinks. Towel warmer. Cotton swabs, makeup remover pads, makeup mirror. Bathroom scale. Lots of electrical outlets. Robes, slippers, spa/pool towels, spa/pool sheets. no corridor or outside noise (at least with sliding door closed ) muffled room to room noise. Spa is amazing - indoor & outdoor pools (plus a special family pool); fitness center with almost every type of workout equipment; movie room.

We had an overnight stay and enjoy every minute there. The staff was very friendly and mindful. Room and bed were comfy. The food was delicious, we especially enjoy the cheese room with high quality cheeses. The spa is amazing, the amenities are spacious so it doesn’t feel crowded. Would love to come back!

Honestly I think the problem for me is this place was way too hyped to me before I arrived. Quick notes, a bit gaudy, rooms are good, however if we are using Brandenburg as a metric they are perfect and amazing, sauna area is ok, dry sauna should have been 90 degrees not 77. Food was pretty good will admit that. That might have been best part! I also think I would like it way more if it wasn’t for the price. This might be the most over priced “anything” in all of Europe and maybe even America. 700€ for 2 people for 1 night albeit with food and “sauna” is extreme. And we had the cheapest package. Kudos to the owners they are well fed :) If you’ve never been it could be worth it. Or just go to the local spa in your gym and sleep at home :) jk it’s fine just over priced.
