Blind Squirrel - Louisville

Blind Squirrel is a cool restaurant, I like that they offer trivia and live music on certain days and the beach volley ball was a real surprise for a restaurant in the middle of Kentucky. Over all the food was good but my main complaint was the service. It was slower than it should have been and we had to check with the front as to why nobody had even taken our order after being seated there for 20 minutes. Would definitely like to eat there again if they can just straighten out the service.

visited this week for Burger week... very delicious! Been here many times over the years. We used to be able to bring our dog on the patio, sadly cannot anymore. still visit. Sometimes music and fun vibes outside in wveni gs. Half price apps til 10 when we visited on Monday. My fav side ia their Brussel sprouts.

Great venue! Live music, good food, great service and a sprawling facility with plenty of room for any group! If you are looking for a great summertime hangout in the Louisville area, the Blind Squirrel has you covered!

Two words: Cheese Pull Best cheese pull in Louisville. Probably. Get the mozzarella moons. They serve big ol' bucket drinks that get the job done.

March Madness may be the season, but I’m all smiles from this visit to The Blind Squirrel! The bartender, Ashli, makes the PERFECT Pixie Stick Martini, so good that one just isn’t enough! And the food, top tier during this wild basketball season! There may be upsets on the court, but not at the Blind Squirrel, where they’re obviously working faster than a shot clock to get orders from the kitchen to the table. I’m only rating it a 5 because a 10 isn’t an option, but don’t take my word for it, check them out for yourself!

Had drinks and a wonderful mixed green salad. We were here before the concert. Loud! Coke products.

No one cares to even acknowledge you when you walk in the door. Even though there is clearly a sign stating please wait to be seated. I guess since my husband and I walked in with canes we got looked at by employees as not worth their time because no one that passed us wanted to seat us. Trust me, not worth it unless you look like you have money. We have it, but we’re currently spending it elsewhere and tipping well.

Very busy place! Staff was very busy but stayed on top of things. Minor issue with our order but was resolved quickly. The Brussel spouts are excellent, the burger was good (put jalapeno on it to take it over the top). Gluten free buns are available and pretty good! Pizza was top notch. Even though it was packed, you could still carry on a conversation. They host live music and karaoke! Of course plenty of screens for watching all the sports!

Why is no one talking about the cheese curds? The location is great, indoor and out. Just a great sport/summer bar set up. The steakhouse salad was a 10. Big chunks of well cooked steak, loads of topping. But the hidden star were the Fried Cheese curds. Pillowy little cubes of hot cheesy goodness. So yes, grab lunch, watch a game, grab a beer... but definitely order some cheese curds.

Blind Squirrel offers decent bar food with an amazing patio, volleyball court, and upper deck. Unfortunately its service team struggles to make the experience anything other than mediocre. We walked in on a Friday night, busy as expected --no issues there, but we almost left twice. The wait time told to us was surpassed by twenty minutes, this was okay as we had drinks from the bar and felt that if we finished our drinks before being seated then we could leave. We got sat before then, okay so after being sat we didn't get a server until another 15-20 minutes! We said again if we finished our drinks our drinks before they come to us we would leave. Right in the nick of time a server came. She admitted to not seeing us and tried to get our complete order then and there. The food comes, the mozzarella moins were good. The burgers we also good. Each ingredient individually was meh, but together created a good flavorful taste with each bite. Big fan of the twister fries, I would highly recommend getting twister fries over their regular fries. I am not sure if we will go back, but if I do I truly hope for a better experience. I was so focused on the service I don't think I truly enjoyed my food.

Not our first time, but certainly our last. We were seated promptly outside by the hostess. But then waited...and waited...and waited. With a TODDLER. We were passed by not 1 but 3 different servers. Helped every table around us, including 2 tables that were sat after us. One lady wasn't even eating, she just had her iced tea at a table and even had a server put up her umbrella for her. I just wanted to have a cocktail and lunch on a nice patio with my family. But apparently that is too hard for them to manage. We just got up and left and went elsewhere.

This place is ALWAYS such fun! Indoor/outdoor/bar area. Checks all the boxes! Fun atmosphere with lively music.

The wing board was perfect for me and my best friend, paired perfectly with an espresso martini. The assortment of sauces took us on an adventure from Buffalo to Southern Asia, and we loved every stop of the flavorful trip.

Our family was hosting a surprise party. The space was upstairs with our own personal bartender and bar with access to an amazing deck. The catered food they provided was also quite good! The beef tenderloin was so tender, and the pretzels and beer cheese is some of the best in town! Our guests raved about everything!

One of the best sports bars in the area. The food is great but the drinks are even better! The wait staff is always attentive and nice. I also love that they have live music on the weekends. It gets crowded pretty quick, so better get there early if you want seats on those days.

My husband had the fish and chips. He was very happy with his meal. I had the Italian sub and onion straws. The sub had so much vinegar that's all I could taste. And who puts pickled carrots and cauliflower on a sub? The onion straws came out in a hot bowl but they were cold. I sent them back and I don't know if they just threw them back in the deep fryer or not but they burnt.

Blind Squirrel is always one of our go to spots in Middletown. The food is always delicious and service is wonderful. Most recently I ordered a pizza for the first time and boy oh boy was it delicious. Next time I would like to try the thin crust. My only minor complaint is that it's not dog friendly. They have such a nice outdoor area and we were turned away over the summer due to having our dog with us.

Not only is this one of the only decent restaurants in the area open late, it has such great food! It was super crowded so they went to open seating. We were able to find a table outside in their beautiful patio/back area. It's a very relaxing and safe environment to be in, in my opinion which is super important! The server we had was so busy but still managed to deliver wonderful service with a smile and sweet attitude. I wish I remembered her name to give her a shoutout. recommend this establishment for people who want to avoid "the bar scene" but still have good drinks, good food, and good music.

Lunch at the Blind Squirrel is always fantastic! Today, my husband and I visited and had lunch on the patio. The ambience was beautiful and clean, our waitress was friendly and attentive as per usual. I don't believe we've ever received poor service here. I had the fish and chips with a side of Texas toast and the twister fries, while my husband tried the Italian sub which he said was very delicious and mentioned he would definitely be getting it again. I also noticed they have a few brunch items on menu I hadn't noticed before. The blind squirrel has never let us down.

Went for appetizers and football...wings were fantastic and super crunchy, beer was cold and the chili was a little underwhelming...tasted sweet and unmarried, won't get that again but as always the other items made up for my disappointment and the atmosphere/service was typical, very good!!!

Stopped in yesterday for a lunch meeting with clients. We were seated quickly and our waitress came by to greet us. I had the club sandwich and fries. The bacon on the club was cooked perfect. The bread could have been toasted a bit more. The fries were crunchy and lightly seasoned. This place has a sports bar/pub feel and atmosphere. I bet it is fun on game day or during one of their live music events. I have eaten here several times with clients and we have not had a bad meal.

Live music, outdoor sports area and great food, what else could you ask for? This spot is definitely a go to for some good food and drinks without having to get all dolled up for a night out. I especially love their salads.

Best chicken fingers in Louisville! The burger bowl was a new try and it was really good, though the 1000 island was a miss for me (personal taste). Staff is always friendly and the bar has a great selection of drink options. Great venue for families daytime, and for adults after hours.

I was torn on this one and really would like to give 3.5 stars... so I'm leveling up instead of down. Preface - in the area looking for a cool place to eat. Find this online. Advertised live music, sports activities and the food looked good. Looked like a perfect vibe for my friend and I. Unfortunately when we arrived it wasn't quite all that we thought it would be... It was a Saturday night, but no live music. Sadly it was the only Sat night of the month that nothing had been scheduled. They have volleypits outside that you can sometimes watch but nothing going on when we were here... so basically it was just a regular sports bar. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. It came out, the fries were hard and cold... When the waitress stopped by I shared this with her and she had me a HUGE replacement basket in about 2 mins. Thank you! My chicken sandwich was very tasty and their ranch is top notch! Definitely tastes homemade and they are very giving with it, no upcharge. Loved that. Service was excellent. Overall just wasn't the cool vibe we thought it would be.

Tonight 19 Residents of the HOA @ Swan Pointe met at Blind Squirrel 592 N. English Station Rd. Louisville, KY 40243 1/15/2025 Ashley was our server tonight and really did a great job. She went to each person and took drink orders and then came back and got our food orders, in the meanwhile people were coming in and sitting down at both ends of the tables. She did a great job getting their orders. Blind Squirrel updated their menu this week and there seems to be some new items and some of the old items were removed. Ashley told us that the menu hasn't been updated online yet. I ordered the 3 Sliders with the Sweetened Slaw. There was enough Slaw for both of us to eat. Philip ordered the Club Sandwich that had Turkey, Ham, Bacon, American Cheese, Mayo, Lettuce and Tomato on Texas Toast, and Onion Rings for his side. We really enjoyed our food and the volume in the restaurant was lower than usual and we were able to talk to our friends. Ashley checked in on us often and kept our drinks filled. Several people had Salmon and about five people had Fish & Chips. There were also two or three couples that shared Pizza and really liked them. We had a great time tonight! The building was warm enough so that we were able to relax and enjoyed being there.

Large dining area and there were many outside activities that families/groups could enjoy. There is usually live music on Saturday nights, but not the night we visited. The pork I ordered was slightly warm but had good flavor as did the creamy Cole slaw on top. The sprouts were warmer in the bottom of the bowl. Our food may have sat a bit before being delivered to the table. If I visit the area again I would try this restaurant again. Our waitress was informative and gave honest opinions of the items we asked about and gave suggestions as well.

Always a good time at Blind Squirrel. A favorite for lunch during work hours and even better towards the evening. The burgers are solid, I bounce between the Mushroom Swiss and The Truffle Burger. Service is also great. Every time I've been they have been very accommodating for our larger parties - the staff is awesome and they make it happen. Highly recommend, Can't wait to go back!

Only came here to meet a local family member for dinner/drinks. They had dinner we had dessert and sit and listened to the band. Looks like a cool place with great service. Outside sand volleyball , inside is a little loud as you can imagine and even more if the band is playing. We got moved outside and our waiter couldn't have been more gracious and professional. We got to sit and visit and enjoy the dessert. This would be a fun place to visit again

A bit lackluster for a return visit today for lunch. My son and I had the afternoon off and chose Blind Squirrel. They offer regular lunch specials for their club, BLT, burger and the garden salad. The discount isn't deep enough to deter you from the main menu but if it's what you're in the mood for, it's the best choice. My son wanted the mac & cheese burger with twisted fries and he enjoyed the order. I opted for chicken tenders and fries plus a side of brussel sprouts. The tenders were good and I enjoyed the sweet chili thai sauce. However, the fries were overdone and the brussel sprouts didn't seem fresh, maybe even heated up in the microwave. Based on today, it'll be a moment before we add Blind Squirrel back to the rotation.

Visiting for the weekend. Tried this on a lark. We had a large party with us. Husband ordered the pizza. It was very good. I had the egg rolls which I really liked. Also ordered the bucket drink. Too sweet for my taste but the 10 bucks was a deal. Would come back. Good prices. Service was good.

Visiting from Iowa, wanted to watch the Iowa game somewhere with a great atmosphere ! Seen a server named Deja was recommended for having great service here so we had to go off the recommendation of the fellow yelpers! The wings were so good, the shots went down smoothly and the Bourbon berry drink was top notch! Would recommend this place for all sporting events!

This place is massive with a live band, music, MANY volleyball courts, and plenty plenty plenty patio/outdoor seating! This place can get pretty busy, but the bar is big with many servers. The Buffalo Chicken dip is BOMB you can't go wrong with it! The Twister Fries are a great side to get. This is definitely a nice place to go for some grub, entertainment, and hang out with many friends!

So this has become our go to for offsite work lunches. They have a varied menu with a number of choices for just about any appetite. Typically I will opt for something off the salad menu, all of which are fairly large and filling especially with the option to add chicken to it. The burgers are good and tasty, and I enjoy the fried fish at times as well. Depending on the day and time you go it can be a little hectic and loud. Plenty of TVs to distract you and the atmosphere is very casual, so you can relax while you wait. Over all the staff is usually very friendly and knows the menu well. They are often very attentive and prompt in taking care of the table. Again, it can get a little hectic in there and as a result, service may suffer. Overall, this is a dependable and reliable lunch option for our group and we often go back.

Was in the area and did a post business lunch here, loved the food and how our larger group was treated. We had a group of about 8 and had more than a few dietary restrictions, our waitress was helpful in suggesting things to fit everyone's needs. She kept our drinks full and the food came fast. During the middle of the week at lunch it isn't as busy so it was nice that we were all able to talk to each other without having to yell over any noise. The food was decent and everyone at the table was satisfied with what they ordered.

Food was great and it was a fun atmosphere for our family. "Appy hour" prices made it even better! Will definitely go back.

I have been here a few times and never had a bad meal. Their Brussels are delish along with their mixed drinks and cocktails. A good atmosphere for a sports bar and they have live music once a week.

My mom and I came here for lunch after a day of shopping. She has been many times before and always enjoyed it, especially in the warmer months as they have outdoor seating and live music. Our service was prompt and friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. I had the truffle burger it was so, so good! The patty was thick and cooked a perfect med-rare. Their fries are also great-not too thick-and cooked to perfection. I will definitely stop by when I'm in the area again.

Food was hot and fresh. The presentation wasn't the greatest but the flavor and portions compensated for that. Pricing on the beers are about average and the selection is ok. However they do have a lot of bourbon options. The Philly cheesesteaks are mediocre compared to real Philly cheesesteaks plus they're small. The Cole slaw portion is as well. The Boursin chicken sandwich was good flavor but the bacon wasn't the greatest flavor. They were big cuts of bacon but tasted bland. The broccoli however was on point they were delicious. The loaded fries were really good as well. The atmosphere reminds me of a hipster bar but overall it was a good experience.

Sidewinder Fries! Everything is great here and we love seeing Kevin & Lauren play live music! Great for kids. Chill vibes.

We ate outside on the patio, enjoying multiple appetizers and beers. The beer list was pretty extensive with lots of great choices. The menu was plentiful with a variety to please nostalgic everyone. The ambiance was fun and laidback. I could definitely see myself being a regular patron of this place if I lived here and wasn't just visiting. The service was great - friendly, attentive, and great recommendations.

We've been wanting to come here for a very long time but always forgot to try it out on our date nights. But not this time! Lol. We got there around 5 on a Sunday evening and needless to say they were already jumping. Lots of customers in already but we didn't have to wait for a table. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is really cool but it is insanely dark in there! Maybe it's just me getting old, but I was kinda blindsided, (No pun intended), by how dark it was. All of that aside...the server greeted us quickly and had our drinks out in no time. You could tell she was busy but at the same time she kept a smile on her face while talking to us and got what we needed quickly when we asked. It looked as if the whole team worked well together as our food was delivered by other folks, which is nice to see. The place has plenty of TV's for sports viewing and a very nice bar area. They had it all decked out in Mardi Gras beads! I know they also have an outside area which we of course didn't get to see because it's February but I'm sure it's nice too. The food was nice and hot when it arrived to our table and it didn't take long to get it. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and my wife had the Boursin Chicken sandwich. They were both good but they didn't blow us away. The fries are awesome however! The restaurant was nice enough for us to return for sure and we will try some different menu items. Maybe the chicken sandwiches aren't the main attraction. Lots of people were ordering nachos so we'll definitely try those next time and we're gonna come when it's warm out so we can hang out outside. Thanks Blind Squirrel!

We've never had a bad meal at blind squirrel and their to go food is just as good. We've enjoyed the beer cheese and pretzels and the Buffalo chicken dip. The servings are generous too. The chicken fingers are SO GOOD and get the twister fries if you like a more potato forward fry. It looks like a super fun place in the summer time too.

Fair quality good sized portions, very lively and loud maybe too lively depending on your vibe, lots of volleyball and live music inside, lots of tv's - very busy lots of people

My family are friends met their to celebrate my birthday. The wait was long but understandable because it was right before 8:00 on a Saturday night. Fun place! There's beach volleyball and delicious food. I had fish and chips and it was delicious. I forgot my card but they take tap pay so that's good. My waitress was nice. I loved the way that the inside is set up with the different lights. It's a nice place to grab lunch on a summer day. :-)

The food is just mediocre its not great but its not aweful great bar food is what it is....pizza is yummy.
