Truly could not have had a better experience! The house has such history and is in a walkable location to downtown. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! The Christmas decorations were still up, giving it a truly at home feel. The shared spaces were well used by our group for game nights and dinners in! We loved loved loved our time and cannot wait to go back again! Lastly, VERY close proximity to the airport truly made the trip a breeze!

This was our second visit to the Blind Tiger in Burlington. We absolutely loved the place this past summer and couldn’t wait to return. It is a beautiful historic old building with lots of original details all mixed with lovely eclectic design elements. It is warm and inviting. There are great open spaces for guests to sit quietly and read or play games. The same rooms are all open for breakfast as well. Beautiful light streams in in the solarium and the two wood stoves in the corners make it nice and cozy. The two bedrooms we have stayed in were both so very different and we loved both of them. Beds were very comfortable and lighting is plentiful. Easy to read in bed. The parking area makes greeting in and out very convenient, you park and the door is just a few feet away, very easy. Breakfast is arranged beautifully on a long marble table stacked on books and you serve yourself using a mix of little mix-matched china plates. (Pretty sure the dining furniture is Six Penny which is super beautiful). The staff is friendly and warm and make you feel very welcome. So basically, it is perfect in my mind and I can not wait to come again! Love the Blind Tiger.

Great location and trendy, well kept rooms. We walked to dinner each night and enjoyed all the old, stately homes on the walk. Very romantic and intentional rooms in a historic building with amazing original details. The only feedback I would give is that I wish there were more vegan options at breakfast (vegan cream cheese would be great because they have such a wonderful bagel bar with delicious looking toppings). We stayed in the Treehouse room, which had spectacular views of Lake Champlain. We will definitely be coming back!

A large family Christmas/NYE gathering was made PERFECT at Blind Tiger. We all thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful, oh-so comfy rooms, cozy gathering spaces, and the plentiful breakfast served daily. Truly, a magnificent stay with top-notch customer service! A very unique and stunning place--any time of year!

Google
Wonderful property! We stayed in "Forever Tomboy" which had a gas fireplace, bath and walk-in shower: spotless room, bed was very comfortable, fireplace was a real luxury with 25F outside temps. Large sitting areas on first floor are a great place to read or just look out the window. Excellent breakfast; expresso machine and snacks 24/7. Worth the price.

This hotel was one of my favorites. The rooms were well decorated, comfortable and clean. The breakfast offerings were perfect and being able to enjoy it out on the terrace or in the solarium was delightful. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The hotel is very close to Champlain College and downtown where there are a number of good restaurants to choose from. I would definitely stay here again.

Google
Wow! My sister and I stayed in "Gather" which has two bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, and a nice sitting area. Hard to find hotels with that kind of space, so that alone made us happy. But there is so much more! The FABULOUS tea and home cooked baked goods available all day long, lots of beautiful common spaces (the solarium is gorgeous), very nice staff who are available but unobtrusive, great location, unbelievably extensive breakfast and best of all (for me, anyway) a room with NO neon lights. I spend a lot of time covering up the lights on digital clocks, microwaves, TVs, etc. because they bother me. My bedroom was beautiful and quiet and needed no adjustment. The price may seem high but for two couples traveling together it would actually be a way better deal than connecting rooms in a motel.

Google
Lovely old mansion that has been converted into a boutique B&B style hotel. At Blind Tiger we felt like we had the privacy of a rented apartment with the amenities of a hotel like breakfast and housekeeping. The solarium is a really cool room to vibe out any time of day, and is just one of the classic features that gives this place its calm vibe. It makes you want to come back to see what the property is like in different seasons. From the outside, it looks stuffy and spooky but inside is anything but. After a week we expected some kind of spooky old house thing to freak us out, like weird noises or creepy decor, but it's a decidedly unspooky place with cool Nordic style design elements, lots of windows that open onto the lawn and the pretty trees.

Yelp
The Blind Tiger is amazing and the best place to stay in Burlington. Not only is it beautiful with a warm and wonderful ambiance, but you will not find a more passionate, active and engaged team than that at the Blind Tiger. They seem driven to ensure that each stay and each guest truly enjoy their experience. Page and Grace are so amazing, it is easy to see why their team is so outstanding. They take ownership of every aspect of your stay and there are no small details for them. It is how you respond to problems that ultimately determines the level of service. We had a small issue while we were there and their response was above and beyond anything I would have expected. It was not that serious to us but it was certainly of utmost importance to them. I can't say enough about how wonderful they are to work with. I'm looking forward to my next stay there!

Yelp
Blind Tiger Burlington was absolutely exquisite. The common areas were beautifully decorated, with ample seating making it easy to find a quiet corner amongst the other guests. The staff was perfectly friendly and the property is well taken care of. Room 8 had two bedrooms and 1.5 baths and was extremely comfortable with plenty of space for the four people in our party. The products in the bathroom were very luxurious and every space felt very clean. Blind Tiger's modern, artistic transformation of this beautiful mansion is simply stunning and this is easily the most interesting hotel I've ever stayed at.

Yelp
The grounds are beautiful and the staff was wonderful...however. We booked one of the largest rooms in the house, that has a bedroom and a separate sitting room on the ground, actually below ground, level. The room itself was large but furnished in what I an only describe as early Goodwill. The rugs were dirty, as was the floor. We later found out that they do NOT vacuum the rooms while the room is occupied. There is a wine refrigerator in the closet that took up so much space you could hardly hang any clothes in it. In addition, the small bathroom had a broken mirror frame and glasses placed directly on the counter with no tissue/doily to prevent it from being in contact with the surface. In addition, the light over the sink is a bare bulb with a shade on it. The chairs were old and worn as was the couch. For the most part, the walls were blank white leading to a feeling of more of a dungeon that an expensive upscale B&B. The "breakfast" was bare minimum with a few selections of fruit, granola and bagels. The "snack" cabinet had muffins that seems to have been there for days, along with candy cigarettes....Candy cigarettes? Really? The "private" porch was covered in leaves and a hazard to walk on. Look, if you want a minimalist room, this is the place for you. But if you are paying Ritz Carlton prices (over $2000) for 3 nights, you don't expect to find Motel 6 amenities and attention to detail.

Yelp
My only wish is that I could have stayed longer. Most days were cloudy and a little wet so didn't get to enjoy the beautiful garden like I wanted to but got to sit for coffee outside the first morning, which was nice. Wanted to sit in every part of the lounge area even though I had my own sitting area in my room. They have huge rooms that are bigger than most NYC studio apts. I had champagne and a goody bad of chocolate and VT maple syrup. There was even a huge umbrella in my room for use while I stayed that I don't even get in most 4-5 star hotels during my travels. Love the coffee/tea bar that is available for guests all day which includes treats like chips and cookies. Breakfast is set up so cute and I loved their mango habanero jam. I had that for 2 mornings and bought a few at the VT country store before my drive back home to NJ. Staff was so pleasant and welcoming. They were available for anything you need. Even text you before they leave for the night to make sure you have everything you need before they head out until they arrive again early morning. Great location and convenient to everything. I would stay here every time I visit, which is often. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This place is fantastic, we stayed in room 12 for just one night but it had a wonderful view from the observatory, was well decorated, comfortable bed and came with plenty of bathroom amenities and snacks. The service was incredible and the breakfast was amazing and the house as a whole is gorgeous. I'd come back here, I'd recommend my family and friends come here, etc - I do think it's a better fit for couples than for a full family, but that's likely just because of the room my partner and I stayed in. Conveniently located and in a nice neighborhood with other gorgeous houses.

Yelp
Stayed here with another couple while on an anniversary, fall leaves trip. Great location and unique and pleasant place to stay. Had everything we could possibly want and need except maybe a tv to watch college football...but plenty of spots for that in town. Very quiet and peaceful place and employees were Knowledgeable about the area and very helpful but left you alone. Decor is very eclectic and at first I thought it was strange, but it grew in me. Grounds are spacious and beautiful. Breakfast bar was the best and had a ton of yummy choices. Coffee was excellent...and they have snacks and treats available all of the time. Not sure if it because I had just been in Salem or because it was Halloween season, but felt kind of spooky being there in such a quiet, old place. Plenty of open spots to sit and relax or visit with other guests. Close to beach and downtown. We would definitely visit again.

Yelp
We stayed in room two for three nights for $2,094.03 USD, we drove from Toronto. Don't get me wrong the building is gorgeous, the room was modern and clean, but for the amount paid there was much to be desired. We skipped breakfast 2/3 days as it was buffet style and basically a bagel bar, we were pretty disappointed. The 24/7 snack bar was nice and we found ourself grabbing sweets when we got back from our day. The room was spacious (separate sitting and sleeping areas), but the bathroom was the size of our half bath at home. The shower door was too large for the wall. I thought I was going to shatter the door every time I used the shower as it would hit the corner of the wall. Also, 1 ply toilet paper for an over $2k stay? Wasn't too thrilled about that. Also be aware if you are booking room two, it's in the basement. You can hear everything happening upstairs and next door in room one (obviously it's an old house). If that will bother you, book a higher numbered room. What did bother us, the rooms main door has a large gap at the bottom that makes it hard to fall asleep as the light from the hallway is bright and shines into the sleeping area. We had to use towels each night to block the light and darken the room. Overall, fine, clean stay. Probably will not return for a second visit.

Yelp
Blind Tiger is a comfortable, warm, and serine setting. The inviting decor is calm and the staff are knowledgeable about Burlington. I would recommend the accommodations as my unit has a wonderful view of Lake Champagne and spacious seating. the hosts were accommodating in addition to the snacks and morning treats to start your day.

Yelp
Anniversary weekend in Vermont and our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. It was everything we imagined! Our room included a gas fireplace which we enjoyed each night. The breakfast spread was delicious each morning and included tastes of Vermont. This historic building is beautifully well kept and the staff was more than helpful. I really loved the fresh baked cookies and the afternoon team and coffee in the dining room. They also had a small fridge for the guest to use and a wine fridge to store your bottles! We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
We have been going to the Willard St. Inn for years. We were so impressed with how they adapted to make guests feel safe during COVID-19. They took extra care to have individual breakfast baskets, a texting service, masks worn in the premises and sanitizers while still providing the same great service s and the best breakfasts in Vermont (which now you can carry out and enjoy in their beautiful garden).

Lynne R.

Yelp
Although we travel to Vermont every few years, this was our first stay here at the Willard Street Inn. Our stay was peaceful and restful. The sunlit breakfast room is so beautiful with 3 sides or windows. They had many breakfast choices. We were fortunate enough to stay 3 night and had 3 amazing morning meals that left us satiated and only hugely for late lunches. The property has a delightful garden . The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We will stay here again!

Yelp
Fantastic. Adorable. Cozy. Historic. Beautiful. Grand. Personalized. These are just some of the words I would use to describe the Inn and our stay there. Literally from the moment we walked into the entrance we were treated warmly and as if we were old friends of the family. I had told them it was our anniversary and we were greeted in our room by a hand written note and some complimentary chocolates. The room was cleaned daily. The breakfast was not my preference but was perfectly prepared and a nice portion as well as balanced. The inn keeper gave suggestions on where to eat lunch and was open to answering all the questions I had. They had no shortage of area information from restaurants to attractions to religious establishments and even suggested road trip routes in all directions. It was an amazing experience and anyone should have a lovely time staying here.

Yelp
What a lovely b&b. Beautiful house, nice staff, causy rooms. A little pricey for canadians when the exchange is not good but worth it. We paid 283$ CA (209$ US) for one night, breakfast included of course. The breakfast is good and you have three options. It was on december 27th so of course prices are higher at that period. I saw on the website that you get 25$ off if you book 2 nights and more. Nice place!

Yelp
We are staying in this beautiful inn for a night, passing through Burlington. Every inch of the place is special and wonderfully reminiscent of the 19th century. Each room is a jewel. The stay here is a real treat. The staff could not be more accommodating and even gave us a tour. I feel like I am in a fine museum. This stay is a special treat. The breakfast was outstanding with home made muffins and home made banana bread. The menu changes daily but this morning we had egg burrito with black beans. Not only was it delicious but the presentation was beautiful but fresh fruit garnish. I was fortunate to meet the owner and his two children, who all jointly run the inn. They were very gracious and extremely proud of their jewel. This place is a real find.

Yelp
Burlington, VT....why do you have to have so many wonderful things, yet be 500 miles away? One of them being this amazing inn...it's a retreat within a retreat (the second being the city of Burlington itself...and don't worry, there aren't any additional Inception-like levels to worry about...just the two)... First of all, this place is gorgeous inside and out...a Victorian mansion with pretty rooms and cozy and charming sitting areas- both inside and outside on the deck. I stayed here for one night right before the 4th of July weekend while waiting for a friend to pick me up and it was definitely a highlight of my time in Vermont. I wish I could have stayed longer! When I first got to the inn, I was too early for check-in, so left my bags with the staff while I checked out some local sites.... when I got back...Mandy had graciously put them in my room...where a snack plate with a chocolate chip cookie, dried cranberries, and local chocolate was waiting- a really nice touch! My bedroom (Periwinkle) was comfortable and cute, had a spotless bathroom, and free wifi. What's more...it's a green certified B&B! (You get all the pleasure of being pampered, with half the guilt!) In the afternoon, there were tangerines and fresh baked cookies (which were good) available, and coffee/tea were available at all hours. The breakfasts deserve their own paragraph...those were some of the best waffles I've ever had!....with a side of ham, whipped butter and fruit...even blackberries from the inn's backyard garden! (see photo) You got to pick from 3 daily selections- all of them gourmet...and to enjoy them in their solarium...(*sigh* ....of nostalgia but also of that full and contented feeling right after breakfast)...I wanted to stick around and read after breakfast, either in the peaceful solarium or on their also peaceful deck...but the rest of Burlington was calling... Just before checking out, I checked out the beautiful backyard (note: a prime journaling and reading spot)...and after I stopped kicking myself for not having checked it out sooner...met the owners Katie and Larry Davis who were working in the garden and backyard with their son Jordan...their daughter Carrie, it turns out, manages the inn- a great family! Very warm and friendly...and the garden is great too...the inn's kitchen regularly uses the bounty of the garden (which Jordan designed and built)...be sure to check it out! And speaking of things to check out: the inn is really close to downtown Burlington, with its many shops and restaurants...try American Flatbread and the Onion River Co-op market...and check with the staff about other things to do...they have really helpful maps and lists...even of other cities to try for day trips.... Ahh...such a relaxing and wonderful stay.....like going to a spa minus having to get wet...definitely my go-to place for a Burlington retreat....

Ashley M.

Yelp
We spent 4 nights in this beautiful mansion that felt like our home away from home! We have stayed in many B&B's and were truly impressed with our stay at the Willard Street Inn. We stayed in The Conservatory, which is right on the main floor of the inn. I was worried it wouldn't feel private, but it was perfectly quiet and comfortable (we especially liked how close we were to the dining room to grab fresh baked cookies each night!) The breakfast room is beautiful, full of windows, and overlooks the spacious backyard. We loved that there was a sweet and savory breakfast choice each morning (although sometimes it was so hard to choose!) 5 stars for a truly beautiful bed and breakfast with friendly and helpful employees! This was the perfect place to stay on our awesome vacation in Burlington!

Shannon S.

Yelp
Perfect, Perfect, Perfect. It's been a long, long time since I've had a stay as pleasurable as the one night stay I had at the Willard Street Inn. The hotel is in an excellent location in Burlington, VT only a short walk away from Church Street and and minute drive. There is plenty of parking in the hotel parking lot and the only minus was that check in wasn't until 3pm--so we had to kill time until then. Fortunately, there is plenty to do on Church Street during the day and Lake Champlain is streets away. When we checked in the girl working gave us a mini tour and explained to us all of the amenities--there were restaurant books with menus inside, plenty of maps and pamplets for sightseeing around the area, plenty of rooms to sit and relax in---beautiful amenities like a working kitchen, mini fridge for patrons, bottle openers and chillers to bring to your room as well as an ice machine. She also showed us the fresh baked cookies, coffee and tea and I was really, really impressed by the warm welcome. She helped carry our things upstairs to the 3rd floor (where our room was) and we made ourself at home. We had a private bathroom, self-controlled air conditioning unit a small tv as well as fresh baked cookies in room, Lake Champlain Chocolates and a free B&B Guidebook. We relaxed, the bed was SO comfortable and the inn was quiet. We had visited the Magic Hat factory that day so we took advantage of the ice and the chiller as well as the bottle opener! That night we planned on drinking on Church Street so we walked there. CUTE neighborhood--5-7 minute walk mostly downhill--and we arrived back around 12am to a quiet house and those fantastic cookies! (The walk back was easy and safe too, though mostly UPHILL when you get close to the Inn, but it made for an excitingly funny drunken adventure!) The next morning we woke up after a PERFECT nights sleep in our super comfy bed. We had signed up for the 9:00am breakfast so we went downstairs and had the best service while overlooking the backyard. The food was fantastic--great waffles with carmelized banannas on top and fresh, hot coffee. I'm only sad we stayed for 1 day only because it was completely romantic, calm and a great Burlington Experience! You MUST stay here.

Nancy H.

Yelp
From the minute you walk in the door your feel very welcomed and at hone. My experience from the time I made my reservation to the time I left to go home was exceptional. I was there by myself over the holidays. Larry and Katie especially always stopped by my table at breakfast to chat, which made me feel at home. Or if I was sitting by the fire, they stopped to say hello. I had great chats with guests. I walked everywhere and tried many restaurants. Everyone was very friendly. I travel a lot for business, so if you are traveling by yourself, this is a great place to feel comfortable and to recharge! Did I mention the daily fresh made cookies. The breakfast is phenomenal and I can not say enough about them. I plan on going back as this was a great trip.

Esme A.

Yelp
Charming, historic inn. Room was spacious and very clean. Inn itself is beautiful, quite large and has a lot of historic character. The Solarium where breakfast is served is lovely, with views of the inn's large and well-maintained gardens. Breakfast was very good! We found, though, that the sweeter option (waffles/ French toast/ etc) was usually a little better than the savory choice. There is coffee, tea, and fresh juice available all day, and my husband and I enjoyed a cup of tea on the swinging bench outside in the garden at dusk. The inn is walkable to downtown Burlington (10ish mins)- but be aware that the walk home is entirely up hill, so plan accordingly as far as shoes go. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Rusty K.

Yelp
What a charming and quaint inn to stay at while in Burlington. The minute we walked in the front door, it had a warm, homey feel, like stepping back into time. It was well decorated and our room was so clean and comfortable with the best cozy bed. Watching the snow falling outside our window was a treat for us, coming from Hawaii. The daily breakfasts were yummy and served in a bright and open room surrounded by windows. The staff and owners were friendly and hospitable. Located close to the shopping area. Probably better if you have a car, although we walked everywhere in the cold and enjoyed it. We loved our stay!

laura W.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful inn within a nice walk of downtown Burlington. Rooms vary in cost from $150-$265 depending on the room/season. Breakfast is amazing and included. Come here if you can!

Joanna F.

Yelp
I LOVED the Willard Street Inn. It was one of the best places I've ever stayed. Our room was cozy, our private bathroom across the hall was spotless and the staff was wonderful without being intrusive. Every area of this inn felt amazingly cozy. Usually I get kind of creeped out or feel uncomfortable in b&b's, but I actually wanted to hang out in the solarium and the reading rooms because they were so comfortable. The food was also amazing. Three choices for breakfast every day of homemade, local food is enough for me, but they also had an array of fresh baked pastries with the breakfast, and fresh baked cookies every day. If that weren't enough, they also bring fresh baked cookies and Lake Champlain chocolates to your room daily. For the price of our room for a weekend, I was very impressed with all of the amenities. I can't wait to come back!

Stephen N.

Yelp
Lovely place to stay in a lovely town. The breakfasts were delicious, and the staff friendly and helpful. The only down-side was the constant supply of delicious biscuits and the effect they had on my weight!

Erin N.

Yelp
I went to the Willard Street Inn for a romantic weekend in Burlington two years ago and I still think about it fondly all the time. The breakfasts provided were simply phenomenal. I think I ate my weight in scones. Each afternoon when you return from your adventures you're greeted with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies left in your room. The staff was extremely helpful and gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations. Obviously it's all about the food with me...but you can't beat the location mere steps from Church Street. This is a definite must-try!

C F.

Yelp
Though technically a Bed n breakfast, we stayed two evenings and never met, or saw the owners. Upon a late arrival (9PM) the first night, we were 'greeted' with a breakfast sign-up sheet where it's a first come, first serve for allocated time slots. No cheery ' what time can we expect you for breakfast' here. Supermarket quality fruit and yogurt (in a state replete with micro dairies) completes a small hotel feel while this historic building and incredible garden cry out for a humanistic touch.

D C.

Yelp
Loved staying at this B&B in an old restored mansion from the 1880's. We stayed in the Tower room with a wonderful view of Lake Champlain. The staff are extreme nice and accommodating. The homemade breakfast every morning which is included with the price of the room was great, we stayed a total of 3 nights. Additionally, they always had coffee on hand, fresh made cookies, and they even leave chocolate chip cookies in your room every day. Would love to go back.

Samantha B.

Yelp
This place is absolutely fabulous! We came here for a little babymoon getaway and could not have been more pleased. The family that runs the inn is just wonderful - they were so kind, thoughtful, and possessed a wealth of knowledge when it came to the history of both the building and the town - something my husband and I really appreciate. The aesthetic of the inn is flawlessly maintained down to every detail. We stayed in the tower room which had great views of the lake and mountains. I have to say though, my favorite part was breakfast in the solarium. So beautiful and especially nice to be in a space with so much light and greenery in the wintertime. Not to mention the breakfast was always delicious!! Thank you Carrie, Jordan and the rest of the Davis family - we will definitely be back!!

Jay S.

Yelp
Charming and historic treasure in Burlington Vermont. On our recent trip to Vermont we selected the Willard Street Inn because of its historic charm and proximity to the city. While it was walking distance, it was about a 10 minute walk through a neighborhood to get to the main harbor and Church Market Square. We were greeted with top-notch hospitality, warm cookies, and warm evening tea and coffee upon our arrival. Hoping to explore the town but losing daylight quickly, we hope that the Inn had bikes that we could borrow but alas they did not. After a lovely walk through Burlington, we returned to sit in the Adirondack chairs in the sloping backyard by the butterfly garden and watch the sunset over Lake Champlain. Upon returning, the parlor was full of patronized enjoying a game of Scrabble, a cup of coffee and tea and the most delicious warm homemade snickerdoodle cookies we've had recently. I believe I ate three of them. They were also clementines available for my girlfriend who's on the Whole 30 right now. There was a puzzle set out for the patrons to complete and my girlfriend and I sat up for 2 1/2 hours until it was done. We enjoyed tea cookies and a lot of laughs late into the evening. The room was very inviting and cool. We were in the room with a view of Lake Champlain. It's a little bit deceiving because you can't actually see the lake because of all the beautiful trees but it does face that direction. In the morning we enjoyed breakfast in the solarium, which is not to be missed. We had eggs with roasted mushroom and spinach over bruschetta (she didn't eat the bread) and granola with maple yogurt. Both of the dishes came with fresh fruit and a carafe of coffee and juices. I also enjoyed the homemade baked bread and muffins available at our table. The service was lovely and Larry the Inn owner made a point to greet everyone in the evening and the morning. Kara who greeted us as we arrived was also very delightful. There is A beautiful kitchen in which the food is prepared but guests have access to a refrigerator to store beverages and food for those on special diets. It makes traveling very comfortable. You can also have an extra large ice bucket that can be found in the kitchen. Our breakfast fortified us as we biked 25 miles on the causeway with rented bikes up to New York. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn and would return in a heartbeat.

Yelp
My husband and I are leaving today and we stayed through this Thanksgiving Holiday at the inn. My coworker said that we were going to love it and it has exceeded our expectations. Our stay has been magical. The room is superb, clean and such fine attention to detail. The solarium where breakfast is served is incredible and has amazing views of the garden areas. Breakfast is excellent and delicious. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again! My brother lives nearby and spoke highly of the in. And the owners. A memorable stay in an amazing location close to the water and downtown burlington. Great location! Rooms are impeccable and spacious.

Peter G.

Yelp
I live in Burlington for a long time and always heard great things, but was quite disappointed with the shape of the inn and our room. It was perfectly pleasant, but I'm not sure it deserves its designation of being on the select registry. Good location and friendly staff made it comfortable for a couple of nights.

Allan S.

Yelp
I am hesitant to say too many nice things about this B&B for fear of encouraging too many people to go. It was everything we hoped it would be. Beautiful building, beautiful decor, friendly staff, and delicious breakfasts. Hands down the nicest B&B in Burlington.

Matthew P.

Yelp
Just keft the Willard Street inn today, i must say eveeything was phenomenal from the breakfast to room and especially the staff. The hospitality was amazing !!! I'd definitely come back and recommend.

Laura D.

Yelp
This is a nice place to stay in Burlington, with more personality than a standard hotel but big enough (16 bedrooms) to not feel like you are staying in someone's house. I've stayed in a B&B before and felt very uncomfortable staying there, which made me weary to book Willard Street Inn at all. That being said quite a few people recommended this Inn and the price was right. We got the last room available for our weekend of choice, which wouldn't have been our first choice room but it fit the bill. The wallpaper was outdated, and changing that alone would do wonders for the rest of the decor. I also hit my head in the bathroom and I am only 5'2", so that was a bit annoying. Watch your head! The Inn definitely is going for a romantic feel. They offer a cork screw, and our room had a side table outfitted with wine glasses. It's my understanding that children under 12 aren't allowed to stay here either. That being said, my husband was disappointed when I promised him a flat screen TV per the room description, and the TV was smaller than his laptop screen! The Inn in general could really use some updating. It's nice and clean and in decent condition, but it could definitely use some sprucing up. It is an old place and seems busy so wear and tear is to be expected, I just hope they don't let it go too long. We met three staff members (all young women) and they were all very nice, friendly, and smiley. We were given a tour of the Inn when we arrived and the woman explained how breakfast works and explained other convenience items for guests. For example, there is a small fridge for guest use so you could bring back leftovers or a small refrigerator item if you choose, which is nice. The real highlight for my husband and myself was the food. There were homemade cookies placed in our room each day, and there were also cookies and fruit in a side parlor in the afternoons. The cookies that we sampled were delicious. The breakfast that we had was also really good. It started off with a basket of muffins and scones, which were unreal. I had California Eggs Benedict and my husband had chocolate waffles. Both were served with fresh fruit, a selection of juices, and coffee. Overall this is a solid place to stay. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to those looking for a unique stay for a reasonable price.

Yelp
The owners are extremely nice, knowledgable about the area and take time to make you feel welcome. This historic home had been well -maintained and you can tell much care and attention is put into this place. They even developed their own coffee line. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Wonderful guest house. Breakfasts were delicious and the rooms were super luxurious. We were in the only room without a private bathroom, but the facilities were just across the hall and we had no awkward moments of bumping into anyone in the corridor. Very central to the centre of burlington, this place would be great got a longer stay where we could take advantage of the beautiful gardens.should also add that the sitting areas were very comfortable and we had frette robes too..lush!

Yelp
Update: the business owner contacted me about some of the issues and a lot of it was just simple miscommunication. I've upgraded my review from four to five stars because they were so awesome about following up and sorting everything out.

Yelp
Stayed at the Willlard Inn for two nights in early Jan '13. Cost was overall less then the "big" hotels in Burlington once the included parking, wifi, and (full service) breakfast are factored in. The Inn staff were all very friendly and accommodating and also replied to my email inquiries quickly prior to our arrival date. Our room was "cozy" by modern hotel standards but in the correct context of a guest room in a historic mansion, it was very nice and also had a private bath. We went to bed early one night and late the next and neither time did we hear more then a foot step or two from other guests passing in the hallway. Oh, and breakfast was outstanding!

Yelp
I can't wait to go back. The owners are wonderful and inviting..as well as the fresh cookies! The building itself is absolutely stunning; we enjoyed simply wandering around it because it was huge. Our room was lovely, breakfast was great and the overnight stay was overall wonderful. We will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
We stayed here on our honeymoon and loved it! The house and garden are beautiful and breakfasts really yummy. We especially loved the lemon sugar and ranger cookies put out in the afternoon with the 24 hour coffee and tea. We hope to return both to Burlington and the Inn sooner rather than later. Our time in the Tower room offered a lovely view of the backyard and the lake that we won't forget!

Yelp
This Inn blew us away...so quaint, sweet and comfortable! Free and convenient parking, free Wi-Fi, and very inviting staff! Our room (The Tower Room) was so sweet and roomy; there is a separate sitting area with views of the garden and Lake Champlain in the distance! The Inn provides coffee/tea all day as well as fresh baked cookies in your room and the dining area! Breakfast is also included and was simply wonderful. They were more than willing to accommodate my gluten free allergies which included gluten free baked bread as a starter. There is also a water station to fill water jugs if you are heading out on a bike ride or run, if you do we also recommend the Lake Champlain trail which leads to a Forever Young Tree House! Overall, wonderful experience!! We will definitely be going back!! #bestestroadtripofalifetime

Yelp
The Willard Street Inn was the best B&B I have ever stayed at. We walked in when the owners arrived and they introduced themselves to us and remember our names throughout the weekend when we ran into them. The breakfast was DELICIOUS and contained fresh herbs from their garden. Marley was was so sweet and made us feel right at home by showing us a tour. The room was quaint and cozy. Fresh chocolate chip cookies in your room everyday and we did enjoy relaxing in the garden in the back and even took a little nap. WSI is walking distance of downtown and lake Champlain. We were in Vermont for a wedding and will definitely find the time to visit again and when we do there is no where else we would stay than the Willard Street Inn. Clean, friendly, delicious breakfast, and a gorgeous house! Thank you to all of the staff-you made us feel right at home!

Yelp
This place is my favorite place to stay!! Every room is unique, clean and makes you feel comfortable. The staff is great, food is wonderful and fresh, common space is clean and grounds are beautiful. My boyfriend and I keep coming back. It's walking distance from downtown Burlington and the prefect spot to unwind with a bottle of wine and some snacks in the many seating areas on the property. Also coming back after dinner you. An snuggle up by the fire and play a board game, drink some tea, enjoy the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in your room. Love everything about the Willard Street Inn.

Yelp
I've stayed in Bed and Breakfast Inns all over New England and this is one of the best. The rooms are lovely, the service is excellent, and the breakfast is just wonderful in the bright solarium. We used to do the long dash up and back from southern Connecticut to pick up or deliver our child to the University of Vermont in one day but now we make a point of enjoying an overnight stay at this pretty and romantic inn, while sampling the restaurants in Burlington. Why just let the kid enjoy college?!

Yelp
The Inn was very beautiful and the rooms were fine. No issues. There's parking right out front which is great. I'd say the only disappointment that I had was with the breakfast. I didn't feel that it was anything special. The dining room itself is very pleasant and homey. I just wish that they would kick it up a notch with the breakfast. I've stayed at other B&Bs that had had much better and filling breakfast choices. If I were ever in the area again, yes, I'd still probably stay there. Visiting Burlington VT - A MUST! Absolutely loved visiting there and outside of the city as well.

Yelp
This please was fantastic, I can't recommend it highly enough. The inn was beautiful (I went in December and felt like I was in White Christmas) and close to downtown and the owners were so welcoming and kind. The (included) breakfast was delicious! Our room was lovely (including the fireplace and home baked cookies). They don't have a liquor license, but they have wine openers, glasses, and ice buckets, plus a microwave and guest fridge for guests to use. I will definitely stay here every time I go to Burlington, and I will definitely be back because the only thing more delightful than the Inn was the town itself. If you get a chance definitely go!

Yelp
If there were more than five stars on this site's rating scale, I'd award them to this wonderful inn! I've stayed in roughly 25 inns and B&Bs throughout the US and Europe for both business and pleasure travel and can wholeheartedly say that my experience at the Willard Street Inn was by far the finest I've ever had. My husband and I spent a week there when we were exploring the Burlington area as a possible relocation site. From the impeccably maintained and appointed historic home to the warm welcome and genuinely caring staff to our charming and comfortable guest room to the phenomenal breakfasts in the glorious solarium overlooking the well-cared-for grounds to the comforting afternoon snacks to the many spot-on restaurant recommendations and personalized suggestions for our Burlington exploration, I cannot image our having had a better lodging experience...or a better first impression of the area. We sincerely thank this family-owned and operated inn for providing us with a most memorable soft landing in Burlington which, by the way, we now call home.
