We stayed in the Business Suite (room 8) at the top floor. Spacious, with a see-through fireplace, double shower, bathtub and an extra pull-out bed. Through the skylights you can spot the Grote Kerk, though not a real view. Check-in via hologram felt a bit impersonal, the elevator was out, and there was no minibar. The hotel bar was closed (Sat–Sun) and the breakfast room has limited seating, so you may need to wait. Still, a very comfortable suite with a great bed, cozy design and perfect location in the heart of Breda. Despite the small downsides, definitely worth recommending.

Rooms are huge, clean and beautiful. Gives a classic vibe and comfortable. Service is awesome. Location is a plus since it's just beside the church.

Living in Breda we’ve always looked at this hotel with awe as it looks really neat from the outside and has a luxurious restaurant attached to it. Upon booking I was sure we’d be in for a quality stay as the photos looked very promising and the nightly rate was also higher than of an average 4 star hotel. ||At first glance the hotel/room is indeed quite nice with its unique design but there’s definitely a huge lack of interest in maintaining the standard. A lamp was halfway ripped out of the ceiling, the toilet roll holder was broken, the shower handle missing a knob, lots of dust in the wardrobe where the iron is located. “Fireplace” didn’t work (or at least no guidance how to use it, it was just warm to the touch but not lit). Minibar was missing. ||An advertised special feature of the room was soundproofing; which is only partially true because the music from the street was hearable - even if muffled- and towards the hallway the room wasn’t soundproof. ||The architect designing the bathroom should probably stay away from his job… as you entered the bathroom you immediately bumped into a tub which you could pass on both sides to access the shower/toilet. I’m a very petite lady and even I felt how uncomfortably narrow the space was. ||The breakfast was quite okay, seemed relatively basic but offered more than one would expect after taking the first look. |Personnel were friendly. ||It was an ok experience, quite overpriced, wouldn’t necessarily book it again.

after colleagues waxing lyrical about this hotel, I had very high expectations although these were tempered by some of the more recent reviews. Alas, my experience echoes some of the less favourable reviews. Room was quite dated, and at this price what hotel does not include a mini fridge in the room? Room on top floor a the lift breaks down at the floor below, and seems like this is a permanent issue with no resolution in sight. And a bar that does not serve White Wine, you are advised to purchase from a neighbouring establishment..... Breakfast was good....with freshly cooked hot options, but the time it was advertised and the time it was ready tended too depend on who was on duty.....if I recall correctly it was scheduled for a 7am start....which for my work is a little late anyway, but on one occasion it seemed that the 7am start was the time that the 'set-up' began, not breakfast being available. Unfortunately my visit coincided with school holidays, and the night time square from was very disturbing until 3am, 4am....the rooms are not well insulated from outside noise. Most of the staff were absolutely lovely though, but housekeeping tended to be bit variable, bathroom OK but in need of some rather overdue maintenance.

I had high expectations, but these were not fulfilled for an overnight stay of 270.00 Euro on a Thursday. We had the business class room on the 3rd floor. A huge spacious room but I missed the finishing touch. The decoration and certainly the carpet is dated and the room could have been decorated more attractively. There was no manual anywhere to find how to turn on the fireplace! The huge shower cubicle in the bathroom needs renovation. At first glance it impresses, but if you take a closer look, it is already very outdated and you see brown and dirty spots of the sealant at the door. The cover of the drain is also loose. The beds are neatly made but huge soft mattresses. The breakfast was good but that's about it. I think the room price is completely out of proportion to the luxury you expect when you look at the photos on the website. Too bad for me not a second time.

Amazing hotel…location is amazing, with bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Rooms are amazing. Had a room on the top floor with a fire in the middle, which was awesome as it was -7 outside! Staff are great, breakfast is a relaxed affair. Really enjoyed the stay!!

Very good bed, nice bath , very friendly! Room looks very beautiful, but when you look closer there are some improvements possible like: stains in the sofa, a manual for the fireplace, clean the windows also upon arrival there was a smell from the drains in the bathroom ( it was raining) but it was because the drain cover in the shower that wasn't in place . And it would be good if there was extra light around the mirror because it's realy to dark to apply make up...|The room quite good insolated afainst noice from outside but doesn't realy help for loud guests ! talking and laughing full vol. In the middle of the night ,making so much noice on the stairs ! |Breakfast is ok , just a regular hotel breakfast.|

We stayed with a group of 4 couples in the 4 suites on the first floor. The rooms were very spacious but starting to look worn out (needs a repaint & basic fixing). The bed was good. One of the bathrooms was impractical with little space to move around but most of them were fine. Cleaning was a bit sloppy, the basics were coved but if you looked closely dust was still around. Rooms are a bit dark. Location is superb, right in the center. Staff was very friendly but some seemed unexperienced/young. Only had breakfast, which was ok.
