On the edge of Chinatown, directly opposite Chinatown MRT station, this is well situated to get around the city. ||I found the hotel to be reasonably priced and reasonably maintained, but, it's a budget hotel, and is not worthy of anything more than an average rating. I find hotels like this getting multiple 5* ratings a bit perplexing ... read on to find out why this may be the case here.||I booked a 'superior' twin room, but I'm unsure as to how much worse the room would have been without the 'superior' tag. There was nothing in the way of facilities over and above a very basic room, adequately cleaned and almost adequately maintained, but was small with no window or storage options such as a wardrobe or drawers. There are basic tea/coffee making facilities and functioning air conditioning. I had a shower room, with a toilet inside it, and on the same level, meaning that you'll get wet feet after a shower until the floor dries.||The only other thing the hotel has, is a reception desk, and you'll be asked for a $50 security deposit using a credit card (not debit) on arrival. There's nothing else. No restaurant, (cheap and plentiful just outside) bar or other facilities.||Would I recommend this hotel? As long as you're aware what you're getting, then, yes, I probably would. It's perfectly adequate, but, ONLY adequate. For clarity, the hotel offered us a discount on any future bookings, should I give them a 5* rating, which, obviously may have affected some other reviews, and, which I've also obviously declined.
