To be honest I was expecting a better experience when booking three nights for a total of ~$2,000 for a three night stay. The hotel is nicely decorated but seems to be run by very young people. Throughout our stay I have not seen anyone over 25 at the front desk. That is not all bad but more of an observation.
Our room (124) is small... so small that the sink for our bathroom is almost next to our bed and not located in the bathroom at all. The bed was comfortable and the view from our room was very nice. They are transparent about the room size and I get it, and was okay with that. It was well appointed and comfortable.
I was expecting a little more from a Lark Hotel, after staying in our Lark locations. First, I know this is picking however, I am a tea drinker. In the mornings there is only coffee available, no decaf or tea. When I asked for tea the hotel only has one kind of tea (sadly no Green tea). Second to that they only brew coffee in the hotel between 8-11AM. So if you need a pick me up mid-day you have to go find it somewhere else. They won't make any outside of 8-11AM, unbelievable. Remember, we are spending ~$2,000 for three nights.
The food was very good on the back deck. We had an enjoyable lunch with a great view of the water. We only ate once at the hotel during our stay so far.
I give this hotel a 3, at best, especially given the price point. Ohh, and they only clean your room after 4PM which i thought was a bit odd. Perhaps that is a normal practice but I was just surprised that it was not cleaned earlier in the day.
