I've been here a few times, for.my bridal shower and with family. I received excellent service from Eli Philiswa Mlanjeni. The staff are incredible and the views of the mountain are great. Bathrooms., speed of the food being served, everything is perfect. Support this business

Best chai latte I had while in Capetown! Breakfast was delicious and the almond croissants have a almond cream filling!

I have been to BHK for several years and I have noticed a steady decline in the quality of food. Today I went for dinner and ordered tuna tataki which was so disappointing. It was not fresh but instead overcooked. Also ordered my favourite dessert - rustic ice cream and was met with something that vaguely resembled what I had as hoping for. Ice cream ratio was 20:80, covered in poor quality baking chocolate and ice. So disappointing

There were eight of us for an important family occasion. Our dinner was a great success - fabulous food, drink and service. Two of us were gluten free, one diary free and one just after the plainest burger possible. However, we were not made to feel like awkward customers! There was a great selection for us to chose from. I think our waiter was called Joshua; he was exceptionally good.

A combination of luxury and farm market, good wine, friendly staff and a cool breeze. Food is absolutely delicious and the ribs are so tender OMG. you should really try them

As soon as we arrived we were told that the table we had booked had been booked straight after us, so we had a time limit. I guess I can understand, despite the restaurant not being full. The coffees, when they eventually arrived, where cold. Which I guess I should've been thankful for as it was so hot and the water we had ordered still had not arrived. The replacement coffees came - luke warm and with that dried ring of coffee around the top - you know when the Coffee stands for too long. And not all the coffees arrived. Well by the end of the meal we all had our coffees in one way or another. My eggs came rock hard - the manager insisted on replacing them - the replacements arrived much later - my tough to chew muffin had already been eaten. No loss, as the egg yolks wete barely cooked, but the white was rubber. Quite a feat. The bill was exorbitant. We were offered a very limp "sorry". That's it, nothing further to intimate that they would appreciate returning customers. Which I guess is good, because I won't be returning.

Greeted by three friendly staff members at the entrance, we immediately felt welcomed. The service was outstanding from start to finish — truly 5-star! For lunch, I had the cheeseburger with chips, while my companion ordered the pasta. Both dishes were excellent. The burger was juicy and flavorful, with perfectly melted cheese and a fresh, soft bun. The chips tasted just like perfect roast potatoes — crispy outside and fluffy inside. The pasta was equally impressive, featuring tender pork in a rich tomato-based sauce, with the pasta itself cooked to absolute perfection. Overall, it was a fantastic experience — delicious food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

We had an incredible experience at the Blockhouse Kitchen. Not only was the staff hospitable and kind, they were very accommodating with ensuring my grandmother’s needs were catered for. The restaurant also offers child friendly facilities. I ordered a dirty beef burger. The food was delicious and flavourful, and the portion size was well priced! I’d highly recommend this establishment to anyone who’s looking for a restaurant that could accommodate both needs for the elderly and for young families.
