The team at Bloodwood are genuinely warm, friendly, and welcoming. The staff creates an outstanding atmosphere—the vibe is definitely a highlight.
Unfortunately, the food was remarkably lackluster. We chose the Chef's Banquet as a tasting experience, but the dishes left much to be desired.
First, the dipping and pâté plate came with only two small pieces of focaccia. This happened at the table next to us as well; it felt like a poor attempt at a cash grab, forcing us to order and pay for more bread just to finish the dips.
Next up, the pear and iceberg salad. Serving large chunks of iceberg lettuce that required a knife to cut felt like incredibly lazy preparation.
Third, the fried chicken was a major letdown. It tasted solely of five spice and nothing else—it's honestly some of the worst fried chicken I've ever encountered.
Finally, the dessert—a disastrous attempt at a trifle. It looked and tasted like a child had thrown ingredients into a bowl. The flavors clashed, the textures were off, and the presentation was beyond poor.
Given the significant issues with the food, I would not recommend this place.
