"Bloody Mary's: A Bora Bora Institution Bloody Mary's, entertaining tourists since it opened in 1979, is one of those Bora Bora experiences that simply must be done. The ambience is beach-bar hip, with sand floors, colored lights, and coconut stools in a dining room under a thatched roof and surrounded by tropical foliage. Even if you don't eat here, at least come for a cocktail to experience the vibe and mingle with the crowd of local pension , or guesthouse, owners, visiting celebrities, and other travelers. The food’s quite good, too: Fresh fish, seafood, and meats are grilled, American-barbecue style, with tasty results."

A must when you visit Bora Bora! We dined here for dinner and loved the atmosphere, how you selected your entree, and live music. We ended up coming back two more times during our stay in Bora Bora for cocktails. Highly recommend this unique restaurant and bar!! My husband and I talk about Bloody Mary’s often and hope to come back one day!

The legendary, bloody Mary’s. It’s a must visit while in Bora-Bora. The atmosphere is over the top. They have a list of all the famous celebrities that have visited their which everyone should know. The daiquiris weren’t so good at the bar but the margaritas, especially the mango margarita was amazing. Believe it or not they have happy hour from 4:30 to 6:30. Buy one get the 2nd one for a dollar. Food is really good. The lobster was amazing. It’s not cheap cheap in the islands. Whatever you do, make sure you go to the men’s bathroom flush handle😂

This place has been here since 1979. Reviews made me expect a little bit run down location. It was not. The place was very nicely decorated. Tables, chairs and the building in general looked like they were just refinished. We moored our boat in the bay just a short dingy ride to their dock. The sound of Polynesian music comes from inside. A live four man band plays in the center of this open air restaurant. Their music. Was amazing and they had joy in their faces while playing. Lots of authentic Polynesian songs, but over half of them were cover songs of popular American music like Pink Floyd, Elvis, and many others. When listening, you don’t even realize it is a cover song as it sounds, so Polynesian. We kept it simple and just ordered bloody Mary’s for drinks. After ordering drinks The food choices are done differently. You don’t have a normal menu. Instead, you walk over to a giant table of ice full of your food choices. The attendant or chef points to each one and explains the meal. Lots of choices. All look great. We each chose our appetizer and main course. we got back to her seat the food was prepared quickly and at our table. Overall, I expected an old place that you just had to go to because of all travelers go to bloody Mary. They do highlight all the celebrities by their names on the wall that have been here. I guess now we are one of them. The meal was great, the people were great! We will be back when this area again.

Today we went on an ATV excursion and ended up here and Bloody Mary’s. This was the perfect place to wrap up our morning. Everyone we extremely nice and the food was super tasty. They actually had chickens walking around and roosting which made us chuckle. I ended up getting the lobster and it was very good. Came out fantastic. We snacked down a bit on the food and then waited for our bus to come. So we bellied up to the bar to enjoy some great cocktails and amazing local beer. If we are ever back on the island, this will be a must stop for us.

Fantastic place to eat! The dishes were tasty. The cocktails were highly refreshing. Great variety on both the food & drinks menu. Excellent value for money too! I would highly recommend a visit!

What an incredible stroke of luck! We were in town to enjoy the local favorite BBQ night!! They only do this once every 3 or 4 months so I felt very lucky. Great atmosphere, tons of locals, delicious food and plenty to drink. Local band was incredible, couldn't have enjoyed myself more.

We had lunch here as a part of day tour. We heard so much about this restaurant that all famous people would go there, so we were really excited to try it out and picked the tour that included lunch from here. Their lunch menu is very limited, and not very good. We order chicken quesadilla and fried shrimp. I personally felt like the shrimp was frozen, but who knows. However, it was rather disappointing from what you heard and what you actually got. Later on, we heard that lunch menu is a no no here, and we should go for dinner which might change our mind about this place. We were disappointed with lunch menu and gave it another try for dinner menu. When we arrived at the restaurant, the host would welcome us and showed us what would be appetizer choices and main course choices of the night. We went for red tuna sashimi for appetizer and steak and mahi mahi for main courses. The food taste were good, but maybe we had higher expectation for this restaurant, that is why it was kind of disappointing. The restaurant floor was all sand which is cool, but it was a little bit uncomfortable to sit down and enjoy your meal.

We went on a Friday evening, they had amazing live music. Great staff at reception, bar and table. The grill is either fresh catch of the day, imported meats from NZ or a delicious veggie grill. This is the best vegetarian/vegan dinner I had on the island; vegetable and tofu skewer. Would definitely come back. Recommend to book your table upfront.
