"Bloody Point Golf Club & Resort suffered a similar fate and officially closed in March 2021 after a series of financial issues throughout the 2000s. Now, weeds grow on the once-popular luxury golf course." - Travel + Leisure Editors

So much to say about Bloody Point that I can't possibly cover it all in this review! Here are the highlights: Special and heartfelt thanks to Carmen Rouleau, Patrick Ford, Julianna McCarthy, and Tia Ford for making us all feel welcome and "part of the family". This is a rare quality in today's world and clearly your strength! We enjoyed playing golf several times during our stay and the continuing effort to improve the course is evident. All equipment and facilities (Osprey Cottage, golf course, tennis courts, pool, beach, clubhouse, pro-shop, water-taxi, and golf carts) were well maintained and contributed to our enjoyment. The food and drink at the Eagle's Nest was delicious (divot's!!!!) and the service was great. Everyone of the staff that we came in contact with was professional and helpful. If you are looking for an amazing place to literally get away from it all, relax, have fun, and re-connect with your family and the environment, Bloody Point is it! We will be back next year and look forward to extending our stay!

Perhaps we came during a transitional period but this place was at best abysmal. The server was unable to give a clear description of the buffet items or the bar items and the restaurant's liquor licence was being transferred to new management so no mixed drinks. The buffet was ill stocked and once empty was not restocked with food or plates. The check out process was similar to herding cats as it was a long process and quite labor intensive. I don't believe we will return but hopefully this place will return to it's prior level of service and quality.

Excellent! My group of friends rented a golf cart from Bloody Point for the weekend as well as played golf. While traveling back from Dinner the first night our 6 seater golf cart got a flat tire. The course arranged to have a van pick our group up free of charge the next morning in time to make our golf tee time which they comped as well. We had lunch at the club house which had very good food that was reasonably priced. When we finished our golf game there were two 4 seater golf carts waiting for us to use the rest of our trip. I cant say enough about how friendly the staff was.

One of a kind vacation and stay. Rocket does a really good job to make sure guest are taken care of. Will definitely be back. Best place to stay on the island.

We only visited for a short time, but in that time the staff was great. Everone we met was a charm in their own. From the van driver, grounds keepers, front desk and even restaurant. All the facilities were well kept, comfortable and nice.

Rated 3-1/2 stars, with not a car in sight and barely a house in view, a real treat awaits golfers who journey out to the natural splendour of Daufuskie Island. A short ferry ride across Calibogue Sound from Hilton Head Island, brings you to this small forested island, and its three golf courses. The Melrose and Bloody Point courses are open to visitors; Haig Point is a private club. From many parts of the course you can hear the sea lapping at the water's edge, but only on the closing loop of three holes will those fabulous coastal views really come into focus.

Good food quiet relaxing atmosphere. Great for a quick meal after playing the course or anytime. I like to come here and eat the chicken salad wrap.
