Peach and matcha soft serve

I had visited this café before, but this time I decided to give it a second chance and try their choux pastries. Unfortunately, I really didn’t like them at all. First of all, the jasmine flavor strongly reminded me of matcha. When I brought this up in order to return the pastry, the staff member did not understand me at all. She simply stood there smiling and insisting that everything was correct. The first time I tried matcha, I found it overly sweet, and this jasmine pastry gave me exactly the same impression. What upset me the most was the reaction of the staff. They made no attempt to resolve the situation or find a solution — they just smiled and did nothing. It felt like they were robots placed there purely for appearance, not for customer service. Will I come back? Absolutely not. I didn’t like anything there except the beautiful presentation. The pastries themselves still need serious improvement in flavor, and the staff clearly needs proper training. Pros: nice visual presentation Cons: staff (a major downside)

Matcha latte is generally good and authentic but it depends on who makes it. There’s times when the matcha is not whisked enough. The cakes, choux pastries and ice cream are all very high standard and delicious. Bloom is often quite crowded and hard to find a space to sit.

I ordered the matcha sundae. It had a generous amount of toppings and I really liked how the rice krispy bits added a small crunch. The matcha ice cream was great, not too sweet and it paired really well with the red bean paste and mochi that was included. The service was amazing, very kind and friendly staff that had our orders out very quickly! The atmosphere was very calm. It had some quiet music playing, but it was still easy to hear others while conversing in the cafe. Overall, I had a really great experience and I would definitely come back again to try some other items on the menu!

I’ve been returning to Bloom for years now and it speaks volumes about their consistency for quality. I’ve had desserts and sundaes that never disappoint (when they’re fresh), but I mainly come for the drinks. Their iced matcha latte with oat milk I’d best describe as GREAT, not the best I’ve ever had but I’m always very happy about it. The matcha comes through even with the oat milk and sweetener; a great balanced matcha. Theres plenty of seating for students although I don’t like sitting on stools for a long time, it’s a bright and open space even for medium sized groups to study or hangout. Service is always quick and friendly! 4.3/5

Stumbled across this little cafe on our walk and it did not disappoint. We were craving something sweet and honestly wanted to try everything, but we went with the Matcha and Jasmine Tea soft serve and it was amazing!! Their matcha lattes and cream puffs looked amazing too, so we’ll definitely be back to try those next

They have very delicious matcha. The puff pastries were super delicious. Tried almost all the flavours, the hazelnut and matcha one were my favourites. Definitely coming back…

This cafe has lovely vibes but I wouldn’t come here late at night because of the service. The server was very kind but the quality of food(?) drops a little when it’s at night than during the day! The bakery item was all sold out when I went there at 8:00pm and I heard their matcha latte was very good but it was really bitter when I ordered hot. Maybe if was cold it would’ve been better. I recommend this place during morning time! (The sitting areas are always full)

I’ve stopped by a few times now, and the matcha here always delivers. The flavour is bold and smooth— never chalky, never weak. The matcha sundae is creamy, not overly sweet, and packed with toppings. It’s the kind of dessert that leaves you feeling refreshed and full at the same time. Super satisfying, especially on a summer day. The matcha cream puff is worth trying as well. The shell is light and crisp, with a glossy glaze that adds a subtle sweetness. Inside, it’s stuffed with thick, silky matcha cream. I also tried the matcha daifuku— cloud-like mochi on the outside, cool and creamy on the inside. Every bite is soft and chewy. My only note is that it does get crowded, so finding a seat can be tricky. But if you can snag a spot, it’s absolutely worth hanging out for a bit.
