Essential Guide to Annecy, the 'Venice of the Alps'

"An airy, mid‑century‑modern bistro near the train station, this spot lives by the credo “Boire, manger, boire” and makes it easy with a standout selection of regional wines—including a few harder‑to‑find bottles from neighboring Switzerland—and shareable, seasonal plates like white asparagus with pickled strawberries and goat cheese or bluefin tuna with garden peas and grilled padrón peppers with pil pil sauce." - Lane Nieset Lane Nieset Lane Nieset is a travel writer from Miami who has lived in France for the past decade. We have been there again today. Very friendly staff, amazing food, very creative Very good experience. We will come back there everytime we come to Annecy ! I loved the « sashimi de truite » - a blast !

The little puffs of pastry filled with trout tarama and ornamented with slivers of candied lemon peel were divine. As were the potatoes Rosti! The ravioli with celery root were lovely. Unfortunately, the monkfish was a little tough and the gnocchi pillows a bit too heavy on the lime for my liking. And the fig, hazelnut and polenta cake was the right idea, the polenta had an odd aftertaste. But loved Bloomer and its wonderful crew!

Absolutely amazing food. Writing my first google-review - as this was beyond worth recommending. Tasty small dishes to share, and a great wine selection. The owner has wonderful recommendations, and is very nice and welcoming. Make sure to have the potatoes and the taco!

What a treat it was to spend an evening here. Staff were welcoming and service was excellent. Lovely lively atmosphere and great to see such a range of ages enjoying themselves. Two fabulous starters based on vegetables (carrots and beetroot) and beautifully cooked fish. We look forward to returning.

Overall great evening, our server was great and attentive. Portions are on the smaller side but food was good! Our friends got the pork chop for 2 and thought it had too much fat for the portion side. Lovely experience!

After staying 5 nights in Annecy, this was hands down the best experience my girlfriend and I had. Amazing changing menu that is really challenging your taste buds, the wine selection is large and the sommelier has great knowledge and is passionate about the choice so that you will not be dissapointed. Definitely reserve a table here and enjoy a variety of special dishes with really good wine. It's a bit outside of the old town disctrict, that's why I believe it's an hidden gem for most tourists. Oh and not to forget, if you had a good time, the chef might pass you a very special treat.
